In het
hieronder opgenomen artikel van Joe Lauria, gepubliceerd op
Consortium News en door mij overgenomen van Anti-Media, wordt
onder meer gemeld dat Biden al een aantal jaren geleden, toen hij onder Obama vicepresident was, heeft
toegegeven de Oekraïense regering onder druk te hebben gezet om een
openbaar aanklager te ontslaan, ‘toevallig’ was die
aanklager bezig met een corruptie zaak bij het bedrijf Burisma, waar
de zoon van Biden (Hunter) een achterlijk hoog salaris verdiende, maar liefst
50.000 dollar per maand…… De druk bestond eruit zoals je
wellicht weet, dat Oekraïne een miljard aan oorlogstuig zou mislopen
als men niet gehoorzaamde…….

Eén
verschil met de hysterie bij de reguliere media in de VS (die eerder
Oekraïne onder de corrupte neonazi Porosjenko door dik en dun steunden) is het feit dat dit totaal geen
nieuws is….. Als het om het ‘buitenlandbeleid’ van de VS gaat, was er
geen administratie die niet ongehoorzame landen (ongehoorzaam aan de VS) onder druk zette met de dreiging
dat men verdere hulp van de VS kon vergeten, of dat de handel met
zo’n land zou worden stopgezet, of zelfs een dreiging met een
coup of oorlog……….

Het buitenlandbeleid van de VS: -chantage, -manipuleren
van verkiezingen en -opstanden op poten zetten met de bedoeling dat deze
tot een coup leiden (waar de VS bij helpt of zelfs de
regie neemt als een coup bijvoorbeeld door het leger van een bepaald
land wordt uitgevoerd). Als dit alles niet werkt staat de weg open om
een land aan te vallen, meestal nadat zo´n land al economisch aan de
grond is geraakt door illegale sancties van de VS (zie Venezuela en Iran)… Ook maakt de VS veelvuldig gebruik van false flag operaties als reden voor het binnenvallen van een land, voorbeelden te
over……..

Waar men
al helemaal niet over lult is het feit dat Biden mede aan de wieg
stond van de opstand en coup tegen de democratisch gekozen Oekraïense president
Janoekovytsj, een opstand opgezet door hare kwaadaardigheid Hillary
Clinton toen zij minister van buitenlandse zaken was onder
Obama…… Clinton stak maar liefst 4 miljard dollar aan
belastinggeld in de opstand en coup in Oekraïne…… Ook de regie
tijdens de opstand in Oekraïne was van VS hand (CIA), dat tevens zorgde voor het geweld dat werd gebruikt op het Maidanplein, geweld dat vervolgens in de schoenen van Janoekovytsj werd geschoven,
ofwel ook dat was een false flag operatie van de VS……

Janoekovytsj
moest weg van de VS, daar hij weigerde in het keurslijf van de EU te
stappen en daarmee de economie een enorme slag toe te brengen,
terwijl hij een uiterst lucratieve deal met Rusland kon sluiten……

Untold Story of the Trump-Ukraine Scandal

(CN) —
The most crucial aspects of the Trump-Ukraine “scandal,”
which has led to impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump, are
not being told, even by Republicans.

Trump
was very likely motivated by politics if he indeed withheld military
aid to Ukraine in exchange for Kiev launching an investigation into
Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden, though
the transcript of
the call released by the White House between Trump and Ukrainian
President Volodymr Zelinsky does not make certain such a
quid-pro-quo.

But
what’s not being talked about in the mainstream is the context of
this story, which shows that, politics aside, Biden should indeed be
investigated in both Ukraine and in the United States.

We
know from the leaked, early
2014 telephone conversation between Victoria Nuland, then assistant
secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, and Geoffrey
Pyatt, then U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, that then Vice President
Biden played a role in “midwifing” the U.S.-backed overthrow of
an elected Ukrainian government soon after that conversation.

That’s
the biggest crime in this story that isn’t being told. The illegal
overthrow of a sovereign government.

As
booty from the coup, the sitting vice president’s son, Hunter
Biden, soon got a seat on the board of Ukraine’s biggest gas
producer, Burisma Holdings. This can only be seen as a transparently
neocolonial maneuver to take over a country and install one’s own
people. But Biden’s son wasn’t the only one.

A
family friend of then Secretary of State John Kerry also joined
Burisma’s board. U.S. agricultural giant Monsanto got a
Ukrainian contract soon
after the overthrow. And the first, post-coup Ukrainian finance
minister was an American
citizen,
a former State Department official, who was given Ukrainian
citizenship the day before she took up the post.

After
a Ukrainian prosecutor began looking into
possible corruption at Burisma, Biden openly
admitted at
a conference last year that as vice president he withheld a $1
billion credit line to Ukraine until the government fired the
prosecutor. As Biden says himself, it took only six hours for it to
happen.

Exactly
what Biden boasted of doing is what the Democrats are now accusing
Trump of doing, and it isn’t clear if Trump got what he wanted
as Biden did.

Threats,
Bribes and Blackmail

That
leads to another major part of this story not being told: the routine
way the U.S. government conducts foreign policy: with bribes, threats
and blackmail.

Trump
may have withheld military aid to seek a probe into Biden, but it is
hypocritically being framed by Democrats as an abuse of power out of
the ordinary. But it is very much ordinary.

Examples
abound. The threat of withholding foreign aid was wielded against
nations on the UN Security Council in 1991 when the U.S. sought
authorization for the First Gulf War. Yemen had the temerity to vote
against. A member of the U.S. delegation told Yemen’s
ambassador: “That’s the most expensive vote you ever cast.” The
U.S. then cut $70 million in foreign aid to the Middle East’s
poorest nation, and Saudi Arabia repatriated about a million Yemeni
workers.

The
same thing happened before the Second Gulf War in 2003, as revealed
by whistleblower Katharine Gun (who will appear Friday night on CN
Live!).
Gun leaked an NSA memo that showed the U.S. sought help from its
British counterpart in signals intelligence to spy on the missions of
Security Council members to get “leverage” over them to influence
their vote to authorize the invasion of Iraq.

In
2001 the U.S. threatened the
end of military and foreign aid if nations did not conclude bilateral
agreements granting immunity to U.S. troops before the International
Criminal Court.

More
recently, the U.S. used its muscle against Ecuador,
including dangling a
$10 billion IMF loan, in exchange for the expulsion
of WikiLeaks founder
Julian Assange from its London embassy.

This
is how the U.S. conducts “diplomacy.”

As
former UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros Ghali wrote:

“Coming
from a developing country, I was trained extensively in international
law and diplomacy and mistakenly assumed that the great powers,
especially the United States, also trained their representatives in
diplomacy and accepted the value of it. But the Roman Empire had no
need for diplomacy. Nor does the United States. Diplomacy is
perceived by an imperial power as a waste of time and prestige and a
sign of weakness.”

This
fundamental corruption of U.S. foreign policy, which includes
overthrowing elected governments, is matched only by the corruption
of a political system that exalts partisan political power above all
else. Exposing this deep-seated and longstanding corruption should
take precedence over scoring partisan scalps, whether Biden’s or
Trump’s.

Robert Mueller lijdt aan dementie en maakt van Russiagate een nog belachelijker verhaal

Het verhoor door een comité van de Democraten in het Huis van Afgevaardigden van speciaal aanklager Robert Mueller n.a.v. diens rapportage over Russiagate, was een anticlimax voor de Democraten, Mueller gaf op veel vragen geen antwoord en hij gaf verder de indruk het eigen rapport niet of slecht te kennen…….

Over deze zaak hieronder twee artikelen, de eerste van Consortium News en de tweede van Zero Hedge, over dat tweede artikel het volgende:

Robert
Mueller hoogstwaarschijnlijk niet de schrijver van eigen rapport

Robert
Mueller die afgelopen week moest getuigen over ‘eigen’ rapport*,
leek voor een groot deel van de tijd wel dement, zo kon hij (als gezegd) veel vragen niet beantwoorden en niet zelden leek het erop dat hij z’n eigen
rapport niet eens kende…..

Niet zo
vreemd als je bedenkt dat het grootste deel van het team van
aanklagers dat Mueller ter zijde stond bestond uit donoren van
Hillary Clinton! (ha! ha! ha! ha!, de ware misdadiger was Clinton en met de Russiagate leugen kon ze haar eigen zeer kwalijke rol verhullen binnen de Democratische Partij, een misdadige rol van haar en haar campagneteam tijdens de voorverkiezingen t.b.v. de democratische presidentskandidaat in 2016……

Nogmaals
is duidelijk dat het team van Mueller en hijzelf geen flinter aan
bewijs hebben dat Rusland inderdaad de boel heeft gemanipuleerd…..
Je moest intussen ook wel een imbeciel zijn als je dat hele
achterlijke verhaal nog gelooft, zoals de reguliere westerse media en
het overgrote deel van de westerse politici deze nonsens keer op keer blijven herhalen als was het een feit, ondanks dat er geen bewijzen zijn die e.e.a. bevestigen….. Dit alles terwijl er meters aan bewijs zijn voor
bemoeienissen van de VS met verkiezingen in andere landen, dit nog
naast het op poten zetten van gewelddadige opstanden die met staatsgrepen moesten (en moeten) eindigen, zoals de VS al zo vaak heeft
gedaan, om nog maar te zwijgen over de illegale oorlogen die de VS keer op keer begint…….

Democrats
Blowing on Embers With a Politicized Mueller

Former
Russiagate special counsel Robert Mueller’s appearance before the
Democratic-controlled House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on
Wednesday was an exercise by the Democrats of trying to extract
statements that would keep Russiagate alive and an attempt by the
Republicans to finish off the story once and for all.

Appearing
to be feigning, or actually suffering early signs of senility, the
nearly 75-year old Mueller disappointed both parties and the public.
He declined to answer 198 questions, according to a
count by
NBC News. When he did answer he was often barely intelligible and
mostly stuck to what was in his final report, though he often had to
fumble through pages to find passages he could not recall, eating
into committee members’ five-minute time limit.

Mueller
especially refused to comment on the process of his investigation,
such as who he did or did not interview, what countries his
investigators visited and he even dodged discussing some relevant
points of law. It was an abdication of his responsibility to U.S.
taxpayers who footed his roughly $30-million, 22-month probe.

But
when it came to making political statements, the former FBI director
suddenly rediscovered his mental acuity. He went way beyond his
report to say, without prosecutorial evidence, that he agreed with
the assessment of then CIA Director Mike Pompeo that WikiLeaks is
a “non-state, hostile intelligence agency.”

Mueller
called “illegal” WikiLeak‘s
obtaining the Podesta and DNC emails, an act of journalism. In the
2016 election, the Espionage Act would not apply as the DNC and
Podesta emails were not classified. Nor has WikiLeaks been
accused by anyone of stealing the emails. And yet the foremost law
enforcement figure in the U.S. accused WikiLeaks of
breaking the law merely for publishing.

Though
Mueller’s report makes no mention of The
Guardian’s
tale that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort
visited WikiLeaks publisher
Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy, when questioned on this,
Mueller refused to refute the story, for which there isn’t a scrap
of evidence. That was another purely political and not legal
intervention from the lawman.

While
Mueller concluded there was no evidence of a conspiracy between
Russia and the Trump campaign to throw the 2016 election, he has not
let up on the most politicized part of his message: that Russia
interfered “massively” in “our democracy” and is still doing
it. There was no waffling from Mueller when it came to this question.

He
bases this on his indictment of 12 GRU Russian intelligence against
who he alleges hacked the DNC emails and transmitted them
to WikiLeaks.
Mueller knows those agents will never be arrested and brought to a
courtroom to have his charges tested. In that sense the indictment
was less a legal than a political document.

Among
the inaccuracies about Russigaate that were recycled at the
hearing is that the St. Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency (IRA) spent $1.25 million in the United States to influence the election.
That figure belonged to a unit that acted worldwide, not just in the
U.S., according to Mueller’s indictment.
In fact it only spent $100,000 on Facebook ads, half coming after the
election, and as even Mueller pointed out, some were anti-Trump.

Cambridge
Analytica had
5,000 data points on 240 million Americans, some of it bought from
Facebook, that gave an enormous advantage for targeted ads to the
Trump campaign. It paid at
least $5.9 million to the company co-founded by Trump’s campaign
strategist Steve Bannon. But we are supposed to believe that a
comparatively paltry number of social media messages from the
IRA threw the
election.

Mueller
implied in his testimony that there was a link between the IRA and
the Russian government despite anorder from
a judge for him to stop making that connection. In focusing again on
Russia, no member of Congress from either party raised the content of
the leaked emails.

For
the Democrats especially, it is all about the source, who is
irrelevant, since no one disputes the accuracy of the emails that
exposed Hillary Clinton. (That the source of authentic documents is
irrelevant is demonstrated by The
Wall Street Journal and
other major media using anonymous drop boxes pioneered by WikiLeaks.)
Were a foreign power to spread disinformation about candidates in a
U.S. election (something the candidates do to each other all the
time) that would be sabotage. But the leaking and publication of the
Clinton emails was information valuable to American voters.

have published Trump emails, but it never received any,

No
Power to Exonerate

With
“collusion” off the table, the Democrats have been obsessed with
Trump allegedly obstructing an investigation that found no underlying
crime. That’s something like being arrested for resisting arrest
when you’ve committed no other infraction.

In
his morning testimony, Mueller amplified the misperception that the
only reason he didn’t charge Trump with obstruction is because of a
Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel policy that a sitting
president can’t be indicted.

But
then Mueller came back from a break in the hearing to issue a
“correction.” It was not true that he had concluded there’d
been obstruction but was blocked by the OLC policy, he said. In fact
he never concluded that there had been obstruction at all. “We
didn’t make a decision about culpability,” Mueller said. “We
didn’t go down that road.”

Instead
of leaving it at that, Mueller said in his report and testimony that
Trump was not “exonerated” of an obstruction charge. That led to
blaring headlines Wednesday morning while the hearing was still going
on. “Trump was not exonerated by my report, Robert Mueller tells
Congress,” said the BBC. “Mueller Report Did Not Exonerate Trump,
Mueller Says,” blared the HuffPost.

But
in what may have been the most embarrassing moment for Mueller,
Republican Congressman Michael Turner (R-OH) pointed out that a
prosecutor does not have the power to exonerate anyone. A prosecutor
prosecutes.

“Mr.
Mueller, does the Attorney General have the power or authority to
exonerate?” Turner asked the witness. “What I’m putting up here
is the United States code. This is where the Attorney General gets
his power. And the constitution … .

“Mr.
Mueller, nowhere in these [documents] … is there a process or
description on ‘exonerate.’ There’s no office of exoneration at
the Attorney General’s office. … Mr. Mueller, would you agree
with me that the Attorney General does not have the power to
exonerate?”

“I’m
going to pass on that,” Mueller replied.

“Why?”
Turner asked.

“Because
it embroils us in a legal discussion, and I’m not prepared to do a
legal discussion in that arena,” Mueller said.

Pointing
to a CNN headline that had just appeared, “MUELLER: TRUMP WAS NOT
EXONERATED,” Turner said: “What you know is, that this can’t
say, ‘Mueller exonerated Trump,’ because you don’t have the
power or authority to exonerate Trump. You have no more power to
declare him exonerated than you have the power to declare him
Anderson Cooper.”

Turner
said: “The statement about exoneration is misleading, and it’s
meaningless. It colors this investigation— one word of out the
entire portion of your report. And it’s a meaningless word that has
no legal meaning, and it has colored your entire report.”

Who
is a Spy for Whom?

Mueller
also took a pass every time the Steele dossier was raised, which it
first was by Rep. David Nunes (R-CA):

“Despite
acknowledging dossier allegations as being salacious and unverified,
former FBI Director James Comey briefed those allegations to
President Obama and President-elect Trump. Those briefings
conveniently leaked to the press, resulting in the publication of the
dossier and launching thousands of false press stories based on the
word of a foreign ex-spy, one who admitted he was desperate that
Trump lose the election and who was eventually fired as an FBI source
for leaking to the press.

“And
the entire investigation was open based not on Five Eyes
intelligence, but on a tip from a foreign politician about a
conversation involving Joseph Mifsud. He’s a Maltese diplomat who’s
widely portrayed as a Russian agent, but seems to have for more
connections with Western governments, including our own FBI and our
own State Department, than with Russia.”

When
Nunes pointed out to Mueller that Konstantin Kilimnik, a Manafort
business associate, whom Mueller’s report identifies as having ties
to Russian intelligence, was actually a U.S. State Departmentasset,
Mueller refused to comment saying he was “loath” to get into it.

This
Schiff Has Sailed

The
chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff (R-CA) used the
word “lies” 19 times in his opening statement, which contained at
least that many.

The
central one was this:

“Your
investigation determined that the Trump campaign, including Donald
Trump himself, knew that a foreign power was intervening in our
election and welcomed it, built Russian meddling into their strategy
and used it.

Disloyalty
to country. Those are strong words, but how else are we to describe a
presidential campaign which did not inform the authorities of a
foreign offer of dirt on their opponent, which did not publicly shun
it or turn it away, but which instead invited it, encouraged it and
made full use of it?”

Schiff
reluctantly admitted that no Trump conspiracy with Russia was
uncovered, but said the “crime” of disloyalty was even worse.

“Disloyalty
to country violates the very oath of citizenship, our devotion to a
core principle on which our nation was founded that we, the people
and not some foreign power that wishes us ill, we decide who governs
us,” said Schiff.

It
was pure fantasy.

Mueller
should have taken a pass on that one too.

Clapper Suggests Mueller Was “Just A Figurehead” And Didn’t
Even Write His Own Report

Former
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said on Thursday that
Robert Mueller
could just be a “figurehead” who may not have been involved
in writing “his” own report, according
to The
Gateway Pundit.

The
comments came during a CNN interview discussing
why Robert Mueller didn’t seem to have “command” over the
report’s contents while testifying on Capitol Hill yesterday.

Clapper
was heavily involved in the coup against President Donald Trump and
was an advocate for the Russia hoax theory earlier on.

Mueller’s
role was likely more of a “CEO”, he said. “I
think his role as a special prosecutor was a lot more like a CEO
where he oversaw the operations but did not engage in interrogating
witnesses or actually writing the report.”

team? The piece notes that nearly “every
single prosecutor on Mueller’s team was a Hillary/Obama donor.”

Lead
prosecutor Andrew Weissman was with Hillary Clinton on election night
and praised acting AG Sally Yates for not enforcing Trump’s travel
ban. Aaron Zebley, another Mueller team member, represented the IT
aide that smashed Clinton’s Blackberrys while under subpoena.

Zebley
was next to Mueller on Wednesday to “advise” him on
questions and was clearly more well versed on the report than Mueller
himself was.

Mueller’s
embarrassing testimony – during which he admitted he
wasn’t even familiar with Fusion GPS – is
being panned not only by conservatives, but also by Democrats, as
we reported yesterday.

Conservative
columnist Byron York wrote yesterday:

“Mueller’s
performance raised questions that reached far beyond one appearance
before one committee. It
called into doubt the degree to which Mueller was in charge of the
entire special counsel investigation.”

VN rapport: Assange is gedemoniseerd en psychisch gemarteld

Nils
Melzer, de
speciale VN-rapporteur voor marteling en andere wrede, onmenselijke
of vernederende behandelingen of straffen,
heeft de VS, Groot-Brittannië, Zweden en Ecuador beschuldigd van de
jarenlange wrede, inhumane en ontaarde behandeling van Julian Assange….. Anders gezegd: deze landen zijn verantwoordelijk voor het straffen van Julian Assange….. Kortom: Julian Assange, de oprichter van WikiLeaks, is psychisch gemarteld, tijdens zijn in feite
jarenlange gevangenschap in de Ecuadoraanse ambassade in Londen, waarvoor de genoemde landen mede hoofdverantwoordelijken zijn…..

Op de
webside van de hoge commissaris voor mensenrechten van de VN (OHCHR), stelde
Melzer, dat
hij in de 20 jaar dat hij voor de VN
werkt nooit heeft gezien hoe een groep van ‘democratische staten’
samenwerkten om één persoon zo lang moedwillig te isoleren, te
demoniseren en te misbruiken en dat met weinig of geen inachtneming
van de menselijke waardigheid en de (internationale) wetgeving……… Deze behandeling van Assange kan volgens Melzer dan ook niet anders worden gezien dan als geestelijke
foltering…….

Gelukkig
beginnen de reguliere media in te binden met hun spugen op Assange,
men schijnt wakker te zijn geschrokken van wat Assange te wachten
staat en dat zou gezien de laatste verzonnen aanklachten van de VS
zelfs tot de doodstraf kunnen leiden….. Iedereen met 2 of meer hersencellen begrijpt dat deze zaak z’n weerslag zal hebben op de hele internationale journalistiek, hoe volgzaam en fout reguliere media ook handelen, hetzelfde zou hen kunnen overkomen…*

Torture Report: “Demonized” Assange Has Faced “Psychological
Torture”

(CN) — The
UN special rapporteur on torture has issued a stinging rebuke to the
United States, Great Britain, Sweden and Ecuador for “deliberately”
exposing WikiLeaks founder
Julian Assange to years of “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment
or punishment,” which can only be described as “psychological
torture.”

“In
20 years of work with victims of war, violence and political
persecution I have never seen a group of democratic States ganging up
to deliberately isolate, demonise and abuse a single individual for
such a long time and with so little regard for human dignity and the
rule of law,” Nils Melzer said in a statement published
on the UN High Commissioner for Human Right’s website on Friday.
“The collective persecution of Julian Assange must end here and
now!”

“The
evidence is overwhelming and clear,” Melzer said. “Mr.
Assange has been deliberately exposed, for a period of several years,
to progressively severe forms of cruel, inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment, the cumulative effects of which can only be
described as psychological torture.”

Melzer
went on:

“In
the course of the past nine years, Mr. Assange has been exposed to
persistent, progressively severe abuse ranging from systematic
judicial persecution and arbitrary confinement in the Ecuadorian
embassy, to his oppressive isolation, harassment and surveillance
inside the embassy, and from deliberate collective ridicule, insults
and humiliation, to open instigation of violence and even repeated
calls for his assassination.”

Melzer
visited Assange at Belmarsh prison in London on May 9 with two
doctors, expert in recognizing potential torture victims, who
examined the WikiLeaks founder.
Melzer’s statement makes no mention of Assange having
been hospitalized in
the prison after he was unable to converse with his Swedish lawyer.

Melzer
said:

“It
was obvious that Mr. Assange’s health has been seriously affected
by the extremely hostile and arbitrary environment he has been
exposed to for many years.

Most
importantly, in addition to physical ailments, Mr. Assange showed all
symptoms typical for prolonged exposure to psychological torture,
including extreme stress, chronic anxiety and intense psychological
trauma.”

Fears
Possible Torture in U.S.

The
UN rapporteur said Assange’s human rights could be further
threatened with extradition to the United States to face 18 charges,
including 17 under the Espionage Act.

“My
most urgent concern is that, in the United States, Mr. Assange would
be exposed to a real risk of serious violations of his human rights,
including his freedom of expression, his right to a fair trial and
the prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment,” said Melzer.

He
said he was “particularly alarmed” by the Espionage Act charges.
“This may well result in a life sentence without parole, or
possibly even the death penalty, if further charges were to be added
in the future,” said Melzer.

The
rapporteur expressed deep concern that the Trump administration is
criminalizing journalism.

“Since
2010, when Wikileaks started publishing evidence of war crimes and
torture committed by US forces, we have seen a sustained and
concerted effort by several States towards getting Mr. Assange
extradited to the United States for prosecution, raising serious
concern over the criminalisation of investigative journalism in
violation of both the US Constitution and international human rights
law,” the rapporteur said.

Gets Confidential Report

The Sydney
Morning Herald, quoting
from the confidential report that Melzer sent to the British
government on Monday as well as from an interview with
rapporteur, reported
:

“[Assange]
is really something I’ve never seen in 20 years,” Melzer said.
“I’ve seen atrocities in war areas that were physically more
horrible but I’ve never seen a single person pursued so
relentlessly and with so little foundation.

“[When
I saw him] I immediately compared him to some of the graver cases in
interrogation prisons in terms of his psychological reaction
patterns. That’s what alarmed me so much.” He said Assange’s
treatment was “very close to the intentional, purposeful infliction
of coercive measures to try to break him”.

He
appeared “extremely agitated and preoccupied,” Melzer said. “He
asked a lot of questions and he would jump around, he was so
preoccupied with everything he can’t even compute my answers any
more.

“There
were episodes of this, then he was part of the conversation as
normal, then again he would enter into this agitated state. I have
seen with other victims of psychological torture that would happen.”

Melzer
also blasted the government of Assange’s native Australia. He told
the newspaper, “Australia is a glaring absence in this case.
They’re just not around, as if Assange was not an Australian
citizen. That is not the correct way of dealing with that.”

A
spokesperson for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and
Trade told the Herald: “We reject any suggestion by the UN Special
Rapporteur on Torture that the Australian Government is complicit in
psychological torture or has shown a lack of consular support for Mr
Assange.”

Britain’s
foreign secretary, Jeremy Hunt, condemned Melzer for his report. Hunt
said it was “wrong” for the UN rapporteur to interfere with
British justice by uttering “inflammatory accusations.”

De Israëlische autoriteiten hebben werkelijk schijt aan wat de wereld
van hen denkt, niet voor niets, daar de VS dit land door dik en dun
blijft steunen….

Na al
meer dan 150 vreedzame demonstranten (waaronder kinderen) te hebben
vermoord, een bloedbad dat zich van week tot week voortsleept, heeft
de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël besloten het vredesschip Al Awda, een schip van de Gaza Freedom Flotilla te overvallen, dit schip vertrok vanuit Noorwegen met hulpgoederen naar de
Gazastrook….

Met veel
geweld, slaan en het gebruik van stroomstootwapens (!!) werden afgelopen zondag de
opvarenden gearresteerd, het bloed zou op het dek hebben
gestaan…… Bloed van mensen die niets anders hebben gedaan dan volkomen terecht partij kiezen voor het zo vervolgde Palestijnse volk…….

Alweer
had Israël het gore lef e.e.a. te doen in internationale wateren,
ofwel deze gewelddadige actie was ook nog eens volkomen
illegaal……

Hetzelfde Israël dat ook nu weer durft te zeggen, geen geweld te hebben gebruikt…… Het ging weer bijna zoals dit op 31 mei 2010 gebeurde met het Turkse schip de Mavi Marmara, waarbij Israël zelfs 9 vredesactivisten vermoordde aan boord van dit schip…… (destijds stelde Israël dat de activisten de mariniers hadden overvallen, toen zij aan boord gingen van de Mavi Marmara….) ‘Freedom Flotilla’ Ship Violently Seized by Israeli Soldiers

(CN) — Israeli
soldiers in international waters boarded the Al
Awda ship
headed to Gaza to deliver relief supplies on Sunday, detaining
everyone on board after beating and tasering some passengers,
according to an eyewitness account.

Only
two of the 22 passengers on the ship have been released, with the
rest being held in Givon prison in Israel, the flotilla’s
organizers said on Monday.

One
of those released, Zohar Chamberlain Regev, an Israeli citizen,
contested an Israeli Defense Force (IDF) statement that the ship had
been captured “without exceptional incident.”

“People
on board were tasered and hit by masked IOF soldiers. We did not get
our passports or belongings before we got off the boat. Do not
believe reports of peaceful interception,” Regev said in a
statement to the organizers, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Regev
referred to the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) derogatorily as the Israeli Offense Force (IOF).

He
said he saw “blood on the deck of the Al Awdaas the
last participants were being dragged off the ship,” according to
the coalition’s statement. Regev and a second Israeli passenger,
who has not yet been identified, were charged with attempting to
enter Gaza and conspiracy before being released.

“A
military attack on a civilian vessel is a violent act and a violation
of international law,” the flotilla organizers said in its
statement. “Taking 22 people from international waters to a country
which is not their destination constitutes an act of kidnapping,
which is also unlawful under the international Convention of the Law
of Sea.”

Consortium
News has been following the progress of the flotilla
in two reports by
passenger Elizabeth Murray. Murray left the Al
Awda (The Return) before
it approached Gaza and was not onboard when it was seized by Israeli
forces.

“We
call on national governments, civil society and international
organizations to demand that Israeli authorities immediately release
our boat so that we can deliver our much-needed medical supplies
on Al
Awda and
the fishing boat itself to the rightful recipients in Gaza,” the
organizers said.

“Our
second boat Freedom will
follow Al
Awda within
a day or two, and the Freedom Flotilla will continue until the
blockade ends and Palestinians of Gaza regain their full freedom of
movement,” they said.

Het Gaza Freedom Flotilla is van Scandinavië
onderweg naar de Gazastrook, als zoveelste protest tegen de al 11 jaar (!!) durende illegale
Israëlische blokkade van deze door Israël gecreëerde
openluchtgevangenis. Eén van de schepen die deel uitmaken van
dit flottielje, de Al Awda (de terugkeer), heeft een overlevende van de
USS Liberty, Joe Meadors aan boord genomen als VS vertegenwoordiger. Het flottielje is bezig met de
laatste 1.000 mijl (zee mijlen neem ik aan) van de reis waarbij het
een paar dagen geleden Corsica verliet.

De USS Liberty, was een marineschip van
de VS (al zit dit al in de aanduiding USS) en werd op 8 juni 1967, tijdens de Zesdaagse Oorlog aangevallen door de uiterst agressieve Israëlische marine en
luchtmacht. 34 bemanningsleden van de Liberty werden gedood en 174 van hun collega’s
raakten gewond bij een 25 minuten durende aanval…… (al zou
Meadors hebben gezegd dat de aanval 90 minuten duurde, aldus Joe Lauria, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen
artikel dat eerder op Consortiumnews.com werd gepubliceerd, dit moet een vergissing zijn)

Israël maakte bij de aanval o.a.
gebruik van onherkenbaar gemaakte Israëlische vliegtuigen en opende de aanval, NB nadat de Israëlische marine en luchtmacht de USS Liberty langdurig in de gaten hadden gehouden…… Niet alleen
deze feiten tonen aan dat de Israëlische aanval moedwillig in gang
werd gezet en in 25 minuten werd uitgevoerd, zo hebben Meadors en zijn collega, Francis Brown, opnieuw een VS vlag opgehangen tijdens de aanval, daar de eerste werd weggevaagd bij de eerste aanval….. (door de vlag weer toonbaar te maken voor de Israëlische terroristen hoopten de 2 mannen de aanval te kunnen stoppen)

Awda (The
Return), which
left Corisca Sunday night for the final 1,000 miles to
Gaza. Al
Awda is
one of four boats on the 75-day voyage from
Scandinavia.

Meadors: From the Liberty to Al-Awda.

Meadors
was a signalman on the bridge of the USS Liberty, a
surveillance vessel operating in international waters of the
Mediterranean Sea near Gaza during the 1967 Six-Day Arab-Israreli
war.

After the attack.

Israeli
war planes and torpedo boats attacked the
vessel, killing 34 U.S. sailors and wounding 174 crew members.

A
2003 U.S. commission led by Admiral Thomas Moorer found that:

“1.
That on June 8, 1967, after eight hours of aerial surveillance,
Israel launched a two-hour air and naval attack against USS Liberty,
the world’s most sophisticated intelligence ship, inflicting 34
dead and 173 wounded American servicemen (a casualty rate of seventy
percent, in a crew of 294);

2.
That the Israeli air attack lasted approximately 25 minutes, during
which time unmarked Israeli aircraft dropped napalm canisters on
USS Liberty‘s bridge, and fired 30mm cannons and
rockets into our ship, causing 821 holes, more than 100 of which were
rocket-size; survivors estimate 30 or more sorties were flown over
the ship by a minimum of 12 attacking Israeli planes which were
jamming all five American emergency radio channels;

3.
That the torpedo boat attack involved not only the firing of
torpedoes, but the machine-gunning of Liberty‘s
firefighters and stretcher-bearers as they struggled to save their
ship and crew; the Israeli torpedo boats later returned to
machine-gun at close range three of the Liberty‘s life
rafts that had been lowered into the water by survivors to rescue the
most seriously wounded;

4.
That there is compelling evidence that Israel’s attack was a
deliberate attempt to destroy an American ship and kill her entire
crew; evidence of such intent is supported by statements from
Secretary of State Dean Rusk, Undersecretary of State George Ball,
former CIA director Richard Helms, former NSA directors Lieutenant
General William Odom, USA (Ret.), Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, USN
(Ret.), and Marshal Carter; former NSA deputy directors Oliver Kirby
and Major General John Morrison, USAF (Ret.); and former Ambassador
Dwight Porter, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon in 1967;

5.
That in attacking USS Liberty, Israel committed acts of
murder against American servicemen and an act of war against the
United States;

6.
That fearing conflict with Israel, the White House deliberately
prevented the U.S. Navy from coming to the defense of USS Liberty by
recalling Sixth Fleet military rescue support while the ship was
under attack; evidence of the recall of rescue aircraft is supported
by statements of Captain Joe Tully, Commanding Officer of the
aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, and Rear Admiral Lawrence Geis, the
Sixth Fleet carrier division commander, at the time of the attack;
never before in American naval history has a rescue mission been
cancelled when an American ship was under attack… .”

Dean
Rusk,
U.S. Secretary of State at the time of the incident, wrote:
“I was never satisfied with the Israeli explanation. Their
sustained attack to disable and sink Liberty precluded
an assault by accident or some trigger-happy local commander. Through
diplomatic channels we refused to accept their explanations. I didn’t
believe them then, and I don’t believe them to this day. The attack
was outrageous.”

Meadors and
Seaman Francis Brown, who was later killed in the attack, hauled up
a second
American flag from
the bridge after the first was shot down early in the air assault.
Meadors remained on the bridge throughout the 25-minute attack and
was one of several eyewitnesses to the Israeli machine-gunning
of the ship’s life rafts.

Meadors
has described the Israeli attack in detail on the
USS Liberty Veteran’s
Association website:

“I
watched some jets pass us, then turn left after they passed our ship,
then they started strafing us. The attack lasted 90 minutes, during
which we got a message off to the Sixth Fleet asking for
assistance. We learned later that Joe Tully, commanding officer of
the USS
Saratoga,
launched aircraft within minutes of the attack, but he told us later
they were recalled before they reached the horizon. We found this out
20 years after the attack.

“The
most frustrating thing has been a lack of reaction from the U.S.
government. On June 8, 2005, we filed a war crimes report, and they
are required to investigate these allegations. They’ve created
reports about our mission, but they never did conduct an actual
investigation of the attack itself.

“It
was an illegal attack. We were on the high seas conducting legal
activities. They admitted that they closed the area for military
purposes but we tried to find out the boundaries of that area and
they wouldn’t tell us.

“The
Israelis break international laws with impunity and the U.S.
government is not going to hold them accountable, nobody is. There is
no doubt that the Israelis were committing piracy on the high seas
against the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla and used deadly force against
unarmed humanitarians.”

Meadors
was aboard the Sfedoni in
the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla. He was in Greece for the 2011
and 2015 Freedom Flotillas. Born in Corpus Christi,
Texas, Meadors is a past president of USS Liberty Veterans
Association (USSLVA), founded in 1982.

The
Flotillas aim to bring attention to the illegal blockade
imposed by Israel on Gaza since 2007.
