Zoals meestal het geval, hebben Israëlische psychopaten, dit keer van de politie, zich flink misdragen…… Zij vielen 3 vrouwen uit
de VS met Palestijnse achtergrond lastig bij de Al-Aqsamoskee in Jeruzalem. Meer dan 50 van deze ‘heldhaftige’
psychopaten veegden de mensen voor de moskee met o.a. geweerschoten
bijeen en haalden de Al-Aqsamoskee leeg, waarbij een oude
vrouw uit haar invalidenwagen viel.
Te hulp
geschoten vrouwen werden weggeduwd, maar de 21 jarige Nour Hawash, een VS burger met Palestijnse achtergrond en verpleegkundige in opleiding, wilde de oude
vrouw helpen, echter zij werd met geweld op de grond gegooid en door
meerdere agenten met hun voeten op de grond gehouden (een zware
belediging voor moslims, overigens zou ik het ook als een zware belediging zien). Ook de 2 andere vrouwen die op bezoek waren
uit de VS en die Hawash probeerden te helpen, werden fysiek
lastiggevallen door de Israëlische ‘helden’.

“I
Don’t Care About Your ID”: US Students Assaulted by Israeli
Soldiers
(MEMO) — Three
American women were violently assaulted by Israeli occupation forces
as they attempted to help a disabled woman at Al-Aqsa Mosque on
Tuesday, despite showing soldiers their passports.
Virginia
nursing student Nour Hawash, who is in Jerusalem on vacation, was
taking photos with her mother and sister after midday prayers when
Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the compound and started to
evacuate the Dome of the Rock.
“Suddenly
we heard these shots being fired and people just started running all
over the place. We saw the IDF [Israeli soldiers], guns pointed,
running, trying to chase people. So we just ran with everyone else to
the side,” Nour told MEMO.
The
number of Israeli troops in the courtyard quickly grew, from a dozen
to between 50 to 100 soldiers; Nour also saw several Palestinian men
being arrested.
“They
were not letting anyone near the Dome of the Rock, they had
surrounded it from all its doors,” the 21 year-old student says.
“And there was an old lady being wheeled out as she was leaving the
prayer area and she fell out of her wheelchair and she was unable to
get back in. And I saw that a couple of women were trying to help
her, but they were being shoved so I tried to go in as well.”
However
as Nour moved towards the elderly woman, she found herself shoved to
the floor by an Israeli soldier, who cuffed one of her wrists and
proceeded to sit on her to stop her from moving.
“That’s
when like ten to 15 soldiers were holding me down with their feet,
trying to get my other wrist in handcuffs. And I had pulled out my
passport and I told her [the soldier] that I was an American citizen
and she said ‘I don’t care about your ID’ and threw my passport
to the side.”
Other
soldiers then dragged Nour’s mother, Germeen Abdelkarim, away from
her daughter and pushed her against the wall, handcuffing her, as
younger sister Safa watched on frantically.
“My
sister was going back and forth trying to get to us, but she was
being physically pushed down to the ground, and punched and shoved,
they pulled her scarf off and tried to choke with it so she couldn’t
come near me.”
Nour
recalls.
After
being held down for more than half an hour, an Israeli guard picked
up Nour’s American passport from the ground and instructed the
other soldiers to release her. Both her and her mother were violently
shoved away, and pushed back from the Dome of the Rock close to the
compound gates.
However
all the doors had been barred and the family were trapped near the
entrance for an hour, neither able to access the mosque nor the rest
of the Old City. Even after the gates were opened, the Old City was
held under lockdown for a further three hours, before the women could
return to their hotel.
Nour
has contacted the US embassy in Jerusalem to inform them of the
family’s treatment; whilst officials have said they would file a
report of the incident, it is unlikely that any further steps will be
taken to hold the soldiers responsible for the assault. Other than
cuts and bruises, the women suffered no serious injuries.
Tensions
have been rising in Jerusalem in recent weeks, after Palestinians
re-entered the Al-Rahma Gate area of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed
prayers there
for the first time in over 15 years. However Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu has affirmed that his government intends to close
the gate once again, despite condemnation from Palestinian officials.
Last
week, Israeli forces entered the Al-Rahma prayer area with
their shoes on,
in what was seen as a deliberate attempt to provoke Palestinian
worshippers.
For
Nour, whose mother is originally from Gaza, her experience is
reflective of the reality Palestinian worshippers regularly face.
“We’ve
always seen these things on TV and on Facebook, you’ve become numb
to it. But actually experiencing it and witnessing the reality of the
Palestinians is something completely different. It changed my
perspective and honestly we are just scratching the surface of what
they go through every day,” she concludes.
Under
the status
quo agreement
on Jerusalem, Israeli forces are not permitted to enter Al-Aqsa
Mosque, which is under the management of the Jordanian Waqf
(religious endowment), or physically attack worshippers.
However
Israeli settlers regularly storm the compound in coordination with
Israeli forces, performing
rituals and pledging
to destroy the
mosque, whilst Muslim worshippers are harassed or barred from
entering. Extreme settler groups have repeatedly called
for increasing
raids of
the holy site, especially on significant Jewish holidays.

Golfstaten is de situatie veranderd, overigens nadat deze terreurstaat al een aantal jaren geleden hetzelfde deed met
de reli-fascistsche terreurstaat Saoedi-Arabië.
In
het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Middle East Monitor (MEMO) wordt gesteld dat dodelijke acties van het Israëlische leger alleen
plaatsvinden als er direct levensgevaar bestaat voor militairen of
Israelsiche burgers (en dan alleen voor de Joden zoals je
begrijpt…)….. Het past niet om te lachen in deze, anders zou je
je daadwerkelijk doodlachen….
Het
voorgaande daar de psychopaten, die 99% het Israëlische leger vormen, o.a. schoten (met het doel te doden) op ongewapende Palestijnse: kinderen,
invaliden, medisch hulpverleners (waaronder een arts) en
journalisten…… Waar deze groepen duidelijk als zodanig herkenbaar
waren, de medisch hulpverleners zelfs nog met duidelijk zichtbare kleding (dat dit aangaf), bovendien werden zij vermoord terwijl ze medische
hulp boden aan gewonden, voorts waren de journalisten te herkennen aan
het woord ‘pers’ op hun kleding…….
Israël heeft volgens de VN 189 Palestijnen vermoord, die voor het overgrote
deel ongewapend waren, degenen die ‘bewapend waren’, werkte met
katapulten en slingers, me dunkt tegenover het modern en zwaar
bewapende Israëlische leger geen tegenstander die er toe
doet……… Verder moet je niet vergeten dat er naast de doden ook
nog eens meer dan 6.100 gewonden te betreuren waren, waaronder
uiteraard een flink aantal zwaar gewonden, niet zo vreemd als je
bedenkt dat het de opzet was deze mensen te vermoorden…..
Wel
moet gezegd worden dat de cijfers, die genoemd worden in het artikel,
zoals gezegd van de VN, eerdere onderzoeken tegenspreken, er zouden
veel meer doden zijn gevallen (rond de 250), inclusief een groter aantal dode
Palestijnse kinderen, dit zouden er al meer dan 50 zijn….. Ofwel:
ondanks dat de cijfers van de VN al schokkend genoeg zijn, is het
aantal genoemde doden en gewonden aan de lage kant, om het
voorzichtig uit te drukken (wat betreft het aantal gewonden werden
eerder cijfers van ver boven de 10.000 genoemd….)
De
VN noemde de moorden een paar weken geleden volkomen terecht
oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid……

Israel
is carrying out criminal investigations into the killing of 11
Palestinians by Israeli forces at border protests in Gaza last year,
Israeli officials said on Wednesday, says Reuters.
A
United Nations human rights panel said two weeks ago that Israeli
troops had killed 189 Palestinians and wounded more than 6,100
at protests from March 30 to December 31.
Their actions may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity,
it said.
Senior
Israeli officials, speaking to reporters in Geneva on Wednesday,
rejected the finding that its forces may have committed war crimes.
The
UN report also said Israel had opened criminal investigations in only
five cases, including the death of four children.
But
a senior Israeli official said an inquiry was held into each and
every death. Israel had opened about 300 initial inquiries, and
criminal investigations were underway related to 11 individuals, he
said.
“If
we find somebody violated the law there will be consequences as well.
But for a war crime, it needs to be intentional.”
Under
Israeli rules of engagement, live fire can be used only if there is a
real and imminent threat from individuals or a mob, and only as a
last resort, the official said.
“Each
and every bullet received authorisation of an experienced commander
at the scene,” he said.
The
Gaza protesters are demanding Israel ease a blockade of the enclave
and recognize their right to return to lands their families fled or
were forced from when Israel was founded in 1948.
Thirty-five
children, two journalists and three “clearly-marked” paramedics
were among those killed by Israeli forces, in violation of
international humanitarian law, the UN panel said. Other victims
included a double amputee in a wheelchair.
The
senior Israeli official, asked about such killings, said: “The idea
as policy is never aimed fire at a journalist, women or children. But
in course of events, somebody could be hit by mistake.”
Israel
has said its forces opened fire to protect the border from incursions
and attacks by armed militants.
The
officials accused the UN investigators of having ignored the role of
Hamas in inciting Palestinian civilians, deploying militants among
the activists, and firing 1,300 rockets into Israel.
Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the report and accused
the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), which launched
the investigation,
of hypocrisy and lies fuelled by “an obsessive hatred for Israel”.
The
Geneva forum is expected next week to back the panel’s findings,
including a
call for a referral to the International Criminal Court (ICC),
diplomats say. The Hague court has opened a preliminary investigation
into allegations of Israeli rights abuses on Palestinian territory in
2015.

eens zijn wat betreft haar kritiek op de staat Israël, waarmee ze o.a. volkomen terecht stelt dat de staat Israël veel te veel invloed heeft

Volgens
Pirro heeft Omar haar denkbeelden* niet uit de Democratische Partij** en
daarbij vroeg ze zich af waar ze haar denkbeelden dan vandaan heeft, waarmee Pirro Omar in feite beschuldigt haar denkbeelden te halen van moslim extremistische sites….. Gelukkig hebben figuren als Bernie Sanders gesteld dat Omar geen
antisemiet is, als ze kritiek levert op de staat Israël en de
verbintenis met de VS politiek……**
Opvallend
toch dat zelfs Fox de uitlatingen van Pirro niet tolereert, nu nog
even de daad bij het woord voegen en Pirro ontslaan!!

News has condemned recent comments by host
Jeannine Pirro about
US Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, which prompted accusations of
racism and Islamophobia, as well as calls for Pirro to resign, over
the weekend.
Pirro,
host of the Fox News show “Justice with Judge Jeannine”, on
Saturday said the fact Omar wears a headscarf (hijab) may mean she
doesn’t support the US Constitution.
Late
on Sunday, Fox News released a statement condemning the host’s
comments, US media outlets reported.
“We
strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,”
the US cable news network said, as reported
by The Hill.
“They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the
matter with her directly.”
On
Monday, Omar herself thanked the network for its statement.
“Thank
you, @FoxNews. No one’s commitment to our constitution should be
questioned because of their faith or country of birth,” she wrote
on Twitter.

Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro questioned Saturday whether Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s Islamic religious beliefs stand in opposition to the US Constitution.

Pirro’s
segment on Omar came after days of controversy over the
congresswoman’s criticism of Israel and questions she raised about
the influence exerted by pro-Israel lobby groups on US politics.
Omar
faced several days of attacks from US journalists, commentators,
pro-Israel groups and others, including members of her own Democratic
Party, who accused her of anti-Semitism.
Jewish-
and Muslim-American activists came
to her defence,
however, saying Omar never said anything anti-Semitic.
“In
a time of rampant Islamophobia and anti-black racism coming from the
halls of power, [the] Democratic leadership … needs to be standing
with black Americans and not scapegoating them,” said Rabbi Alissa
Wise, deputy director of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), during a rally last
week.
Top
Democratic presidential contenders Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and
Elizabeth Warren also
issued statements denouncing
Islamophobic attacks against Omar and highlighting the distinction
between anti-Semitism and criticism of Israel.
On
her show on Saturday, Pirro said Omar did not get her “anti-Israel
sentiment” from the Democratic Party.
“Think
about this, she’s not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine
from the Democrat Party, so if it’s not rooted in the party, where
is she getting it from? Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which
according to the Quran 33:59 tells women to cover so they won’t get
molested,” she said in the segment.
“Is
her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to
sharia law? Which in itself is antithetical to the United States
Constitution?”
The
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on Sunday called for
Pirro to be fired.
“Such
an open and un-American expression of religious bigotry should be
rejected by any media outlet seeking even a modicum of credibility,”
said the group’s national executive director, Nihad Awad, in a
statement.
“Jeanine
Pirro should be fired, and Fox News should apologise to its viewing
audience.”
In
a statement of her own, responding to the criticism, Pirro said she
“did not call Rep. Omar un-American”.
“My
intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course
because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the
Constitution,” she said, as reported by US media outlets.

EU wil de Iran-deal overeind houden en is bezig om via een ander
betalingssysteem dan SWIFT (in dollars en gecontroleerd door de VS)
op te zetten om zo de nieuwe door de VS opgelegde sancties tegen Iran
te kunnen omzeilen, waardoor de VS bedrijven uit de EU, die toch
zakendoen met Iran, niet kan straffen voor het overtreden van deze totaal overbodige en schunnige VS sancties.

conferentie waar de VS zoveel mogelijk landen probeerde mee te krijgen
en een anti-Iran coalitie probeerde te smeden…… Een coalitie waarmee de VS een illegale inval

ruiters van de apocalyps, Mike Pence, VS vicepresident, VS (on)veiligheidsadviseur Bolton en de minister van buitenlandse zaken van de VS, Mike Pompeo*,de stabiliteit en vrede op de wereld in gevaar brengt……

Onbegrijpelijk dat de EU en de andere EU-lidstaten zich met geen woord van kritiek hebben uitgelaten op de stap van Polen deze conferentie toe te laten binnen haar grenzen, nee men was zo dapper om of niemand te sturen, of anders een lage delegatie af te vaardigen…… Het zoveelste teken dat de EU een grote bedreiging vormt voor de democratie, de vrijheid van meningsuiting, voor mensenrechten, voor minderheden en voor volkeren die met illegale oorlogen van het westen te maken zullen krijgen, mochten fascisten (als het bewind in Polen, Hongarije, Roemenië, Italië en Oostenrijk) de grootste fractie binnen de EU worden……

While
Trump’s people were fulminating in Warsaw against Iranian
‘terrorism’, it was Iran that was the victim of terrorist attacks.
Warsaw,
Poland is not a fun place to visit in darkest February, but that is
where the US just staged an anti-Iranian jamboree of 60 client states
that brought derision and scorn from Europeans and much of the
Mideast.
The
point of this cynical exercise was to lay the diplomatic groundwork
for an anti-Iranian coalition to act as a fig-leaf for an upcoming
attack on Iran planned by President Donald Trump and his close ally,
Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu.
The
real question is who is calling the shots in bleak Warsaw, Trump or
Bibi Netanyahu? It seems to many that the Israeli tail is again
wagging the American dog.
This
is thanks to the power of America’s born-again evangelicals,
hoodwinked into believing that a Greater Israel is somehow a key part
of the Second Coming of Christ.
A
Fox News poll this week finds that a quarter of these credulous folks
believe that God actually summoned Donald Trump to become president.
This may even be more than the number of Americans who believe that
Elvis is still alive. More proof that the Republicans have pretty
much become a theological party.
The
three horseman of the hard right Republican Apocalypse, Vice
president Mike Pence, Insecurity advisor John Bolton, and State
Secretary Mike Pompeo (who reportedly keeps an open bible on his
desk) joined their voices to the Warsaw jamboree to excoriate Iran
for being a ‘sponsor of terrorism,’ and a danger to world peace
and stability.
The
never understated Bibi Netanyahu, whose nation has at least 100
nuclear weapons, claimed Iran, which has no nukes and feeble armed
forces, was planning a ‘second Holocaust’ for Israel.
An
over-excited Netanyahu even tweeted that the Warsaw meeting was
preparing for `war with Iran.’ He was forced to retract his tweet.
But he did get to sit next to the delegate from war-torn Yemen, a
stooge put into place by the Saudis and Emiratis whose aggression
against Yemen has so far cost hundreds of thousands of lives, mass
starvation and epidemics.
This
week a newly energized US House of Representatives voted for an end
to their nation’s support for the Saudi-led war in the Mideast’s
poorest nation. The Senate, still controlled by Republican Crusaders,
will be likely to vote down the sensible House proposal.
Another
participant at Warsaw was the largest Arab nation, Egypt. This nation
just extended the rule of its military dictator, Field Marshall
al-Sisi, to 2034. It was Sisi, backed by Saudi money, who overthrew
Egypt’s first democratic government in history, killing and jailing
thousands.
In
a slap in the face to Washington, Europe’s leaders, France, Germany
and the European Union government, either refused to attend the
Warsaw hate-fest against Iran or sent low-level paper-passers.
Ironically,
while Trump’s people were fulminating against Iranian ‘terrorism,’
it was Iran that was the victim of terrorist attacks. An attack from
a Pakistan-based Sunni Jaish al-Adl extremist group linked to the CIA
killed 27 soldiers and wounded a similar number. Iran has been the
target of constant attacks since its 1979 revolution by groups linked
to the US, and from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other US regional
vassals. Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is even a long-term
lobbyist for the hyper-violent Marxist Iranian extremist group, the
MEK which was even branded a ‘terrorist group’ by the US
government.
The
Warsaw jamboree was also supposed to set the stage for Trump’s much
ballyhooed Mideast ‘peace’ plan. Run by son-in-law Jared Kushner,
the full plan is expected to be released in April, right after
Israeli elections. It will likely consist of trying to buy off
Palestinian land claims with US taxpayer money and some cash from the
Saudis. America’s Arab client states in the region will all provide
polite applause.
The
Warsaw jamboree produced no evident results and left the US even more
isolated than
before. Europe is moving ahead with a financial
mechanism to permit trade with Iran that circumvents US sanctions. US
intelligence itself reports that Iran is not working in nuclear
weapons. Europe wants to trade with Iran.
America’s
anti-Iran campaign has just suffered another blow. This after
Washington badly damaged relations with China and Canada over the
arrest of the daughter in Vancouver of the founder of Huawei over
charges it traded with Iran. Most non-Americans view this as an
outrage. But the later-day Crusaders around Trump don’t seem to
care that they are damaging America’s reputation and making a mess
of its foreign policy.

right to his face in front of everybody.
At
a House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) hearing on US Venezuela policy,
Abrams was
presented with
the only line of questioning that is appropriate for such a beast by
the very congresswoman the Democrats threw to the wolves just two
days ago. Someone had to do it, and they left it to Ilhan Omar.
“In
1991, you pleaded guilty to two counts of withholding information
from Congress regarding your involvement in the Iran-Contra affair,
for which you were later pardoned by President George H.W. Bush,”
Omar accurately stated. “I fail to understand why members of this
committee, or the American people should find any testimony that you
give today to be truthful.”
“If
I could respond to that-” Abrams began.
“That
wasn’t a question,” Omar responded, cutting him off.
“It
was an attack! It was an attack!” Abrams exclaimed, visibly upset.
“I
reserve the right to my time,” said Omar.
“It
is not right that members of this Committee can attack a witness who
is not permitted to reply,” Abrams said, talking over Omar.
“That
was not a question; thank you for your participation,” Omar
continued. “On February 8th, 1982, you testified before the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee about US foreign policy in El Salvador.
In that hearing, you dismissed as communist propaganda a report about
the massacre of El Mozote of which more than 800 civilians, including
children as young as two years old, were brutally murdered by
U.S.-trained troops. During that massacre, some of those troops
bragged about raping 12 year-old girls before they killed them. You
later said that the U.S. policy in El Salvador was a ‘fabulous
achievement.’ Yes or no, do you still think so?”
“From
the day that President Duarte was elected in a free election, to this
day, El Salvador has been a democracy,” Abrams said angrily.
“That’s a fabulous achievement.”
“Yes
or no, do you think that massacre was a fabulous achievement that
happened under our watch?” Omar asked.
“That
is a ridiculous question and I will not respond to it,” Abrams
replied. “I’m sorry Mr. Chairman, I am not going to respond to
that kind of personal attack which is not a question.”
“I
will take that as a yes,” Omar said. “Yes or no, would you
support an armed faction within Venezuela that engages in war crimes,
crimes against humanity, or genocide if you believe they were serving
US interests as you did in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua?”
“I’m
not going to respond to that question,” Abrams again answered. “I’m
sorry, I don’t think this entire line of questioning is meant to be
real questions, and so I will not reply.”
“Whether
under your watch a genocide will take place, and you will look the
other way because American interests were being upheld is a fair
question,” Omar said. “Because the American people want to know
that any time we engage a country that we think about what our
actions could be and how we believe our values are being furthered.
That is my question: Will you make sure that human rights are not
violated and that we uphold international and human rights?”
“I
suppose there is a question in there, and the answer is that the
entire thrust of American policy in Venezuela is to support the
Venezuelan people’s effort to restore democracy to their country,”
Abrams responded. “That’s our policy.”
“I
don’t think anybody disputes that,” Omar said. “The question I
had for you is that does the interests of the United States include
protecting human rights and include protecting people against
genocide?”
“That
is always the
position of the United States,” Abrams lied.
“Thank
you,” concluded Omar. “I yield back the rest of my time.”
There
is no legitimate reason for Elliott Abrams to ever find himself
before a group of people who are ostensibly concerned with
accountability and responsibility without being asked such questions.
But that didn’t stop all the world’s worst people from crawling
out of the woodwork to his defense.

Conservative
pundit Michael Knowles tossed his two cents into the campaign to
purge the concept of antisemitism of any meaning by tweeting,
“One wonders why @IlhanMN seems to harbor such particular contempt
for Elliott¹ Abrams² (¹ from the Hebrew ‘Elijah,’ meaning ‘My
God is Yahweh’ ² the father of the Jewish people).”
This
is the bipartisan establishment orthodoxy that is guiding your
foreign policy, America. One which claims Elliott Abrams is a saint,
which claims criticism of US warmongering is antisemitic, and which
throws a bold Somali-American woman under the bus for speaking the
truth after years of paying lip service to the need to get more women
of color elected to the leadership of the Democratic Party. This
whole Abrams incident happened, by the way, at the same time Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deleted
a tweet in
which he accidentally acknowledged the agenda to start a war with
Iran, but you probably won’t see Omar commenting on this because
she knows she’ll be smeared as an antisemite for it.
US
warmongering is the most aggressively protected part of the
establishment narrative matrix, because US warmongering is the glue
that holds the unipolar empire together. Without it, our rulers
cannot rule, so you’ll see imperial lackeys fiercely attacking
anyone who draws attention to America’s bloodbaths around the
world, even if they are good servants of the empire in other areas.
The
difficulty for our rulers, though, is that warmongering is a very
difficult thing to paint a pretty picture of, especially with our
newfound ability to quickly share ideas and information around the
globe. I mean, look at Elliott Abrams. Seriously, just watch
him talk.
That demonic grimace is the prettiest face they could find to put on
their Venezuela agenda. I find that very encouraging.
The
reason they work so hard to manufacture our consent for warmongering
agendas is because they need that
consent. They wouldn’t propagandize us so aggressively if they
didn’t need us all trusting them and believing their stories, so
the best way to fight establishment warmongering is to circulate
disbelief in their stories. Whenever you see someone like Ilhan Omar
drawing attention to the gaping plot holes in agendas like regime
change interventionism in Venezuela, go ahead and help draw attention
to it.
Things
are only shitty because a few extremely powerful people do very
shitty things. The only reason powerful people get away with doing
very shitty things is because the majority allows them to. The
majority only allows them to because they’ve been propagandized to.

grote aantallen slachtoffers vallen, daaronder bevinden zich veel kinderen: het
westen blijft achter de drogredenen staan die de VS aanvoert voor

passive and naive” regarding Iran, a day after they contradicted
his views during congressional testimony.

a hearing on global threats on Tuesday, the leaders of several US
intelligence agencies told the Senate Intelligence Committee that
Iran is not taking steps towards making a nuclear bomb, a conclusion
that contrasts starkly with Trump’s assessment.
Director
of National Intelligence Dan Coats, as well as the directors of the
CIA, FBI, National Security Agency and other intelligence agencies,
spoke before the committee.
On
Wednesday, Trump responded on Twitter, saying “the
Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it
comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong!”
“Perhaps
Intelligence should go back to school!” he added.
Former
CIA Director John Brennan retweeted the president’s remarks,
calling Trump’s refusal to accept the intelligence assessments a
sign of “intellectual bankruptcy”.
Your refusal to accept the unanimous assessment of U.S. Intelligence on Iran, No. Korea, ISIS, Russia, & so much more shows the extent of your intellectual bankruptcy. All Americans, especially members of Congress, need to understand the danger you pose to our national security.
In
his arguments posted to Twitter, Trump accused Tehran of actively
seeking nuclear weapons, reiterating the justification he gave for
withdrawing last year from a multilateral treaty on Iran.
Under
the 2015 deal, Iran agreed to restrict its nuclear activities in
exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
The
US intelligence officials told the Senate Intelligence Committee that
Iran was not developing nuclear weapons in violation of the
agreement.
The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but….
During
Tuesday’s hearing, the country’s top spies also took issue with
Trump’s assertion that the Islamic State (IS) group has been
defeated.
Trump
defended his decision to withdraw about 2,000 US troops from Syria on
grounds that IS no longer poses a threat, saying “we’ve beaten
them”.
“Caliphate
will soon be destroyed, unthinkable two years ago,” Trump said on
Twitter at the time.
Trump
has given the Pentagon about four months to withdraw US troops from
Syria, backtracking from his abrupt December order for a pullout
within 30 days.
The
US intelligence chiefs said IS would continue to pursue attacks from
Syria and Iraq against regional and Western adversaries, including
the US.
“The
President has a dangerous habit of undermining the intelligence
community to fit his alternate reality,” Senator Mark Warner, the
Senate Intelligence Committee’s top Democrat, wrote on Twitter.
“People risk their lives for the intelligence he just tosses aside
on Twitter.”
Republican
Congressman Mike Gallagher, who served as a Marine Corps intelligence
officer while deployed in Iraq, also defended the intelligence
agencies, saying: “They are doing a very difficult job and they are
actually trying to advance the president’s priorities”.
The
CIA and the director of national intelligence office did not comment
on Trump’s remarks.

Ondergetekende,
de Palestijnse vakbond en netwerk van Palestijnse culturele
organisaties, verzoeken de leden van de European
Broadcasting Union (EBU),
deelnemende landen, deelnemers en het publiek om het
Eurovisiesongfestival in 2019, dat georganiseerd wordt door Israël,
te boycotten. Zou het Euroviesiesongfestival toentertijd zijn
doorgegaan in Zuid-Afrika?
Het
regime van Israël, met zijn militaire bezetting,
nederzettingskolonialisme en apartheid gebruikt het
Eurovisiesongfestival schaamteloos als onderdeel van de ‘Brand
Israël’-strategie,
die Israël van zijn mooiste kant laat zien om de aandacht af te
leiden van zijn oorlogsmisdaden tegen de Palestijnen.
Alleen
al op 14 mei, slechts twee dagen na het winnen van het
Eurovisiesongfestival, vermoordde Israël 62
Palestijnen in Gaza, waaronder zes kinderen. Diezelfde avond
organiseerde Neta Barzilai, de vertegenwoordigster van Israël op het
Eurovisiesongfestival van 2018, een overwinningsconcertin
Tel Aviv, georganiseerd door de burgemeester, en stelde dat ze “een
reden hebben om gelukkig te zijn”.
De
Israëlische premier Benjamin Netanyahu onderstreepte de opzet van
zijn extreemrechtse regering om het imago van Israël op te poetsen
door middel van kunst, en noemde Barzilai ‘de
beste ambassadeur van Israël’.
Om
het nog erger te maken, kondigde Israël aan dat het mega-evenement,
Eurovisie 2019, zal plaatsvinden in Jeruzalem, in weerwil van de
Verenigde Naties, die de soevereiniteit van Israël over
Jeruzalem niet
erkent. De VN en de Europese Unie beschouwen Oost-Jeruzalem een
onderdeel van het bezette Palestijnse grondgebied, dat illegaal
geannexeerd is door Israël.
Maar
ongeacht of het Eurovisiesongfestival zal plaatsvinden in Jeruzalem,
Tel Aviv of elders onder controle van het apartheidsregime van
Israël, moet de wedstrijd geboycot worden om medeplichtigheid,
normalisering en een onomkeerbare smet op het Eurovisiesongfestival
door de flagrante mensenrechtenschendingen van Israël, te voorkomen.
Gewetensvolle
mensen wereldwijd komen tot diezelfde conclusie, en hun solidariteit
geeft ons moed.
In
IJsland tekende bijna 8% van de bevolking een petitie om
het Eurovisiesongfestival in 2019 te boycotten. De Israëlische
Consul haastte zich naar IJsland om de schade te beperken.
Als
zijnde organisaties en vakbonden die Palestijnse kunstenaars en
journalisten, inclusief radio- en televisiejournalisten,
vertegenwoordigen, doen wij de oproep aan:
Leden
van de EBU en deelnemers om het Eurovisiesongfestival in 2019 te
boycotten, zolang Israël dit organiseert
Grassroots
bewegingen en kunstenaarsvakbonden in deelnemende landen om te
protesteren tegen Israël als gastland van het Eurovisiesongfestival
in 2019 en het organiseren van vreedzame boycotacties
Onze
collega’s, kunstenaars en journalisten om deze oproep publiekelijk
te ondersteunen en te verspreiden
Net
als in de strijd tegen de apartheid in Zuid-Afrika, zal Israël enkel
door effectieve en aanhoudende internationale druk, zijn
verplichtingen uit hoofde van het internationale recht nakomen en de
mensenrechten van de Palestijnen respecteren.
Het
orgaan dat jaarlijks de Nederlandse inzending naar het
Eurovisiesongfestival selecteert, organiseert, financiert en tevens
de live uitzendingen uitvoert, is AvroTros. Voor 2019 is
nog niet bekendgemaakt wie Nederland zal vertegenwoordigen. Dat is
relatief laat, aangezien dit normaal gesproken voor Nieuwjaar
aangekondigd wordt. Wellicht heeft de late aankondiging te maken met

een feestelijke setting van diversiteit en LHBTQIA pride. Voor Israël is het winnen en het mogen hosten van het Eurovisiesongfestival
een overwinning
voor artwashing en pinkwashing, oftewel het verbloemen van de
bezetting, het militaire geweld, het nederzettingenbeleid en de
apartheidspolitiek door middel van kunst en cultuur en door de
promotie van Israël als veilige
haven voor de LHBTQIA-gemeenschap. Dat is de strategie van de,
door het Israëlische ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken
Wij
roepen AvroTros, de publieke omroep NPO, de selectiecommissie en
meest genoemde kanshebbers op gehoor te geven aan de
oproep van Palestijnse artiesten en radio- en
televisiejournalisten aan de leden van de European Broadcasting
Union (EBU), deelnemende landen, deelnemers en het publiek om het
Eurovisie Songfestival 2019 in Israël te boycotten door af te zien
van deelname en uitzending.
* Enige tijd gelden nam Israël de natiestaat wet aan, waarmee Israël officieel een fascistische staat is geworden, daarnaast geeft de dagelijkse behandeling van de Palestijnen aan dat Israël een apartheidsstaat is (wat dan weer ‘prima past’ bij een fascistisch staat)

Niets nieuws zou je zeggen, als je de titel leest, immers eerder dit jaar werd bekend dat Israël een ‘snelle reactiemacht’* in het leven heeft geroepen om kritiek die er toe doet (dus sociale nieuws/actualiteiten media met een groot aantal gebruikers) onmiddellijk aan te vallen na kritiek op Israël……
Hetzelfde Israël dat zich voordoet als het slachtoffer, terwijl het werkelijke slachtoffer, het Palestijnse volk is, dat door Israël met behulp van de westerse media en politici als de grote agressor wordt neergezet….. Dit terwijl Israël NB al meer dan 70 jaar jaar terreur zaait onder de Palestijnen, met intussen een gigantisch aantal bloedbaden, dit over het algemeen zonder enige kritiek van die westerse politici en reguliere westerse (massa-) media…..
Onbegrijpelijk ook dat het Joodse volk in feite hetzelfde doet als de nazi’s in WOII tegen de Joden deden: hen verjagen van haard en huis, hen demoniseren als moordenaars, gebieden zuiveren van Palestijnen, hen het leven onmogelijk maken en als het even kan massamoorden aanrichten onder Palestijnen…..
Sterker nog: een aantal Israëlische legerofficieren heeft begin jaren 90 van de vorige eeuw, de klok geluid met de mededeling dat zij les kregen uit een SS handboek……. Zo leerden ze hoe je getto’s kan beheersen en hoe wraak te nemen na een daad van verzet, zoals Israël doet als een Palestijn een misdaad tegen een Jood begaat, prompt wordt het huis waar deze Palestijn woonde met de grond gelijk gemaakt, zelfs al zouden daar 2 gezinnen van dezelfde familie wonen…….. Ja ik weet ‘t, de nazi’s gingen nog verder, maar dat neemt niet weg dat Israël veel overeenkomsten heeft met nazi-Duitsland….
Verder heeft Israël enige tijd geleden een natiestaat wet aangenomen, waarmee de regering van de uiterst corrupte Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu heeft toegegeven dat Israël een fascistische apartheidsstaat is…….
Intussen staat er dus een leger pro-Israël trollen klaar om bij de eerste waarschuwing onmiddellijk tot de digitale aanval over te gaan, of het nu alternatieve media of bedrijven zijn, die de enorme terreur tegen de Palestijnen meer dan zat zijn……

Criticise Israel and you immediately trigger its army of outraged partisans
An army of social media trolls are at the ready to denounce legitimate criticism of Israel’s occupation and settlement enterprise
Israel was created through violence and terror, which it continues to heap on Palestinians to this day, as it works to fulfill the dream of Zionism – a Jewish state from the river to the sea.
How, then, does it continue to portray itself as the victim, while painting the actual victims – Palestinians – as the aggressors?
It has become a tired and broken record, one that Israel and its ardent supporters play, regardless of the rationality of their arguments. Any criticism of Israel, or any peaceful act to put pressure on the state, draws the same outrage, expressed through carefully thought out, yet irrational, talking points.
Total impunity
Anyone, or any organisation, who dares to criticise the self-proclaimed “only democracy in the Middle East” is accused of being motivated by anti-semitism. Any critical act or protest aimed at pressing Israel to uphold international law, no matter how peaceful, is denounced.
Israel’s treatment with kid gloves is not new; what is new, however, is its launching of the bullying trigger button within seconds of an attack.
While access to the nuclear button is normally reserved for the head of state, any pro-Israel civilian can launch the bullying trigger button, and they are encouraged to do so by Israel. An army of social media trolls linked to Israeli missions abroad have their fingers hovering over this button, ready to defend as soon as they perceive an attack. It’s a button they have pressed repeatedly in recent days.
Take the case of Airbnb. The holiday property listings company enraged the bullying army by withdrawing listings for properties built in illegal Israeli settlements from its website. Pro-Israel critics claimed that Airbnb was singling out Jewish Israeli properties, and therefore, this was anti-semitic.
Breaking international law
The reality is that the settlement enterprise itself is racist, because homes are only built for Jewish Israelis. Imagine the outcry if Britain built homes only for white Christians, banning other inhabitants of Britain from acquiring them. Settlements are also illegal under international law.
Airbnb said it took action because settlements were at the “core of the dispute between Israelis and Palestinians”.
A statement from the company noted: “US law permits companies like Airbnb to engage in business in these territories. At the same time, many in the global community have stated that companies should not do business here because they believe companies should not profit on lands where people have been displaced.”
A reasonable person would see clear logic in that stance. However, the bullying trigger button was pressed, and an illegal settler is now bringing a lawsuit against Airbnb. Consider that for a moment: an illegal settler is suing a company for a moral and legal act.
It was then the turn of British Quakers to enrage the pro-Israel lobby. Their crime? Divesting from companies that profit from Israel’s illegal occupation. Paul Parker, recording clerk for Quakers in Britain, said in a statement: “With the occupation now in its 51st year, and with no end in near sight, we believe we have a moral duty to state publicly that we will not invest in any company profiting from the occupation.”
More pressure needed
This time, it was the Board of Deputies of British Jews that pressed the bullying trigger button. In a statement, the board’s president, Marie van der Zyl, condemned the decision: “The appalling decision of the Friends House hierarchy to divest from just one country in the world – the only Jewish state – despite everything else going on around the globe, shows the dangers of the obsessive and tunnel-visioned approach that a narrow clique of church officials have taken in recent years.”
Any reasonable person who knows the Quakers would realise that they would have reflected seriously before making such a decision, and that it was based on their deep knowledge of the situation over decades. Divesting from companies that profit from an illegal occupation is moral and legal.
Israel does not recognise that the West Bank and East Jerusalem are occupied. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has deemed it absurd to talk of an occupation, and the long-advertised US “deal of the century” will likely reflect this by avoiding a call to end the occupation.
This will certainly not lead to peace. What is needed is more pressure on Israel to comply with international law and to finally end the occupation of Palestinian land. Airbnb was correct to identify the settlements as a core issue, and it is time that others follow suit.
Whither free speech?
The bullying trigger button will now be pressed regularly, judging by the number of moves to ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements.
Chile’s congress overwhelmingly passed a resolution demanding that the government “forbid the entry of products manufactured and coming from Israeli colonies in the occupied Palestinian territory”. This follows hot on the heels of Ireland’s senate passing a bill banning the import of products from illegal Israeli settlements.
The vicious attack on CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill, fired for standing with Palestinians, shows that Israel is being singled out not for criticism, but rather for protection from accountability.
Free speech, it seems, is a value that most claim to uphold – except those who blindly support Israel. Speak if you want to, they say, but the price will be high. The bullying trigger button can be pressed by anyone in defence of Israeli apartheid.

Bij zijn
bezoek aan Israël vorige week, opende de Tsjechische president Miloš Zeman, net buiten de oude stadsmuren van Jeruzalem, een cultureel centrum dat tevens fungeert als handelscentrum….. Bij de opening stelde Zeman dat hij
hoopte dat dit de voorloper is van een Tsjechische ambassade in
Jeruzalem, daarmee zou Tsjechië het eerste Europese land zijn dat een
ambassade in Jeruzalem heeft……..
Intussen
is Israël niet alleen bezig met de voorbereiding van een inval in
Libanon, of met de oorlog tegen de ongewapende Palestijnse
demonstranten in de Gazastrook, waar het dodental de 220 intussen is
gepasseerd (naast rond de 20.000 gewonden….), maar is het ook met
een zuiveringsoorlog bezig in Oost-Jeruzalem……
Zo heeft
het Israëlische hooggerechtshof* 700
Palestijnen opgedragen de dichtbevolkte buurt Silwan te verlaten,
ofwel hun huis te verlaten en elders hun ‘heil’ te zoeken……. Deze
buurt in het Oosten van Jeruzalem, ligt op een heuvel naast die waar
de Al-Aqsamoskee staat.

dat men ingrijpt met blauwhelmen…..
Als
Assad, of een andere niet VS vriendelijke regering, de helft had
geflikt van wat Israël flikt, waren de rapen al lang gaar geweest in
het westen……….
Czech
president Milos Zeman offered Benjamin Netanyahu’s
ultra-nationalist government a fillip during his visit to Israel last
week. He inaugurated a cultural and trade centre, Czech House, just
outside Jerusalem’s Old City walls.
At
the opening, he expressed hope it would serve as a precursor to his
country relocating its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. If so, the
Czech Republic would become the first European state to follow US
President Donald Trump’s lead in moving the US embassy in May.
It
is this kind of endorsement that, of late, has emboldened Mr
Netanyahu’s government, the Israeli courts, Jerusalem officials and
settler organisations to step up their combined assault on
Palestinians in the Old City and its surrounding neighbourhoods.
Israel
has never hidden its ambition to seize control of East Jerusalem,
Palestinian territory it occupied in 1967 and then annexed, as a way
of preventing a viable Palestinian state from emerging.
Israel
immediately began building an arc of Jewish settlements on
Jerusalem’s eastern flank to seal off its Palestinian residents
from their political hinterland, the West Bank.
More
than a decade ago, it consolidated its domination with a mammoth
concrete wall that cut through East Jerusalem. The aim was to seal
off densely populated Palestinian neighbourhoods on the far side,
ensuring the most prized and vulnerable areas – the Old City and
its environs – could be more easily colonised, or “Judaised”,
as Israel terms it.
This
area, the heart of Jerusalem, is where magnificent holy places such
as the Al Aqsa mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre are to be
found.
Under
cover of the 1967 war, Israel ethnically cleansed many hundreds of
Palestinians living near the Western Wall, a retaining wall of the
elevated Al Aqsa compound that is venerated in Judaism. Since then,
Israeli leaders have grown ever hungrier for control of the compound
itself, which they believe is built over two long-lost Jewish
temples.
Israel
has forced the compound’s Muslim authorities to allow Jews to visit
in record numbers, even though most wish to see the mosque replaced
with a third Jewish temple. Meanwhile, Israel has severely limited
the numbers of Palestinians who can reach the holy site.
Until
now, Israel had mostly moved with stealth, making changes gradually
so they rarely risked inflaming the Arab world or provoking western
reaction. But after Mr Trump’s embassy move, a new Israeli
confidence is tangible.
On
four fronts, Israel has demonstrated its assertive new mood. First,
with the help of ever-more compliant Israeli courts, it has
intensified efforts to evict Palestinians from their homes in the Old
City and just outside its historic walls.
Last
month, the supreme court handed down a ruling that sanctions the
eviction of 700 Palestinians from Silwan, a dense neighbourhood on a
hillside below Al Aqsa. Ateret Cohanim, a settler organisation backed
by government-subsidised armed guards, is now poised to take over the
centre of Silwan.
It
will mean more Israeli security and police protecting the settler
population and more city officials enforcing prejudicial planning
rules against Palestinians. The inevitable protests will justify more
arrests of Palestinians, including children. This is how bureacratic
ethnic cleansing works.
The
supreme court also rejected an appeal against a Palestinian family’s
eviction from Sheikh Jarrah, another key neighbourhood near the Old
City. The decision opens the way to expelling dozens more families.
B’Tselem,
an Israeli rights group, characterised these rulings as “sanctioning
the broadest move to dispossess Palestinians since 1967”.
At
the same time, Israel’s parliament approved a law to accelerate the
settler takeover.
Over
many years, Israel created a series of national parks around the Old
City on the pretext of preserving “green areas”. Some hem in
Palestinian neighbourhoods to stop their expansion while others were
declared on the land of existing Palestinian homes to justify
expelling the occupants.
Now
the parliament has reversed course. The new law, drafted by another
settler group, Elad, will allow house-building in national parks, but
only for Jews.
Elad’s
immediate aim is to bolster the settler presence in Silwan, where it
has overseen a national park next to Al Aqsa. Archaeology has been
co-opted to supposedly prove the area was once ruled by King David
while thousands of years of subsequent history, most especially the
current Palestinian presence, are erased.
Elad’s
activities include excavating under Palestinian homes, weakening
their foundations.
A
massive new Jewish history-themed visitor centre will dominate
Silwan’s entrance. Completing the project is a $55 million cable
car, designed to carry thousands of tourists an hour over Silwan and
other neighbourhoods, rendering the Palestinian inhabitants invisible
as visitors are delivered effortlessly to the Western Wall without
ever having to encounter them.
The
settlers have their own underhand methods. With the authorities’
connivance, they have forged documents to seize Palestinian homes
closest to Al Aqsa. In other cases, the settlers have recruited Arab
collaborators to dupe other Palestinians into selling their homes.
Once
they gain a foothold, the settlers typically turn the appropriated
home into an armed compound. Noise blares out into the early hours,
Palestinian neighbours are subjected to regular police raids and
excrement is left in their doorways.
After
the recent sale to settlers of a home strategically located in the
Old City’s Muslim quarter, the Palestinian Authority set up a
commission of inquiry to investigate. But the PA is near-powerless to
stop this looting after Israel passed a law in 1995 denying it any
role in Jerusalem.
The
same measure is now being vigorously enforced against the few
residents trying to stop the settler banditry.
Adnan
Ghaith, Jerusalem’s governor and a Silwan resident, was arrested
last week for a second time and banned from entering the West Bank
and meeting PA officials. Adnan Husseini, the Palestinian minister
for Jerusalem, is under a six-month travel ban by Israel.
Last
week dozens of Palestinians were arrested in Jerusalem, accused of
working for the PA to stop house sales to the settlers.
It
is a quiet campaign of attrition, designed to wear down Jerusalem’s
Palestinian residents. The hope is that they will eventually despair
and relocate to the city’s distant suburbs outside the wall or into
the West Bank.
What
Palestinians in Jerusalem urgently need is a reason for hope – and
a clear signal that other countries will not join the US in
abandoning them.
