75 cruiseschepen in West-Europa varen op uiterst smerige olie……..

WDR berichtte gisteren over een onderzoek waaruit blijkt dat de 75 cruiseschepen die havens in de EU aandoen, voor het overgrote deel varen op uiterst smerige stookolie…… Anders dan bagatelliserende praatjes doen geloven, praatjes die de bewoners van die havensteden worden voorgehouden, dat wanneer deze schepen afgemeerd liggen, de motoren niet op die smerige olie draaien (de motoren van deze schepen mogen nooit uitgezet worden en kunnen overgeschakeld worden van vuile stookolie, naar bijzonder vuile stookolie)…..

Een cruiseschip in een haven geeft een bijna vergelijkbare luchtvervuiling als een fabriek…..

Ofwel de luchtkwaliteit in deze havensteden, die veelal met veel meer luchtvervuiling te maken hebben dan andere steden, is vervuild met nog giftiger stoffen dan eerder gedacht……. (havensteden hebben o.a. te maken met veel meer vrachtauto vervoer dan andere steden, vrachtauto’s die voor aan- en afvoer van bijvoorbeeld zeecontainers zorgen…….)

Tot slot: natuurlijk varen ook de andere cruiseschepen op deze smerige stookolie, wat ook voor alle andere zeeschepen geldt, zie mijn opmerking hierboven over containervervoer.

Ongelofelijk!

PS: uiteraard dragen deze cruiseschepen ook nog eens bij aan de klimaatverandering door hun uitstoot na verbranding van deze smerige stookolie, daarbovenop zorgt die uitstoot ervoor dat ijs en sneeuw op de poolkappen (steeds meer cruises gaan richting Noord- en Zuidpool) zwart worden en het zonlicht niet meer weerkaatsen….. Daarmee smelt dit ijs en sneeuw nog eens sneller, dan alleen al door de opwarming plaatsvindt en wordt, zoals je begrijpt, de klimaatverandering verder aangejaagd……..

Kokosolie giftig aldus Harvard professor Karin Michels

Karin Michels, directeur van het instituut ter voorkoming van tumoren aan de universiteit van Freiburg en professor aan de Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, heeft aardig wat deining veroorzaakt met haar uitspraak dat kokosolie puur vergif is.

Volgens Michels verstopt kokosolie de kransslagaders van het hart en leidt het voor bijna alle gebruikers onherroepelijk tot een hartinfarct……… Moet zeggen dat het een wel erg harde uitspraak is en kan niets vinden over vergelijkbare onderzoeken…… Echter een gewaarschuwd mens telt voor twee, zoals het cliché zegt…..

Lullig genoeg wordt kokosolie vaak in diëten gebruikt, klik hier voor de resultaten op Google na invoer van de woorden ‘kokosolie dieet’, op de eerste pagina staat zegge en schrijven één resultaat waarin men zich afvraagt of kokosolie wel zo gezond is, zonder dat daar een negatief antwoord op volgt……

Een
nieuw hoofdstuk in Monsanto’s doorlopende vergiftiging van de wereld
met het smerige Roundup (hoogstwaarschijnlijk één van de hoofddaders
voor het uitmoorden van onze insecten*). Julia Conley
schreef het hieronder opgenomen artikel op Common Dreams over deze zaak (overgenomen van Anti-Media).

Monsanto
is al jaren op de hoogte van het feit dat glyfosaat, de werkzame
gifstof in Roundup, levensgevaarlijk is, maar steekt liever kapitalen
in pogingen het wetenschappelijk onderzoek te ontkrachten, dat keer
op keer het gevaar van Roundup voor de volksgezondheid aantoont……

Zelfs
‘GroenLinks’ oplichter en EU grofgraaier Eickhout was voor het 5 jaar langer toestaan
van Roundup in de EU, ondanks dat hij op de hoogte is van het gevaar voor de volksgezondheid en het lot van insecten door deze letterlijke kankertroep……**

Nu
blijkt dus dat glyfosaat zelfs in voedsel voor kinderen is
teruggevonden, lees het volgende verontrustende artikel van Julia Conley:

(CD) — A
study of dozens of popular oat-based breakfast foods delivered
sobering news this week when almost all of the products examined by
the Environmental Working Group (EWG) were found to contain the
chemical glyphosate.

“We’re
very concerned that consumers are eating more glyphosate than they
know,” said Scott Faber, vice president of government affairs at
EWG, in a statement.

Glyphosate
is classified as a probable carcinogen by the World Health
Organization (WHO) and was listed last
year as a chemical known to cause cancer by California.

Out
of 45 products “made with conventionally grown oats,” all but two
were found to
contain glyphosate. EWG also tested two organic brands, detecting the
chemical in five samples.

Thirty-one
of the breakfast foods were found to contain levels of glyphosate
that were higher than the level that EWG deems safe for children.

Quaker
Simply Granola, Giant Instant Oatmeal, Quaker Dinosaur Eggs Instant
Oatmeal, and Quaker Steel Cut Oats had some of the highest levels of
the chemical.

Monsanto,
the maker of Roundup, claims that glyphosate and Roundup are not
unsafe for humans—but a jury in California vehemently disagreed
with them last week, ruling in
favor of a man who blamed Roundup for causing his cancer.

The
company was ordered to pay $289 million in damages to Dewayne
Johnson, who worked for years as a school groundskeeper in
California.

Thousands
of farm workers and others who have come into contact with Roundup
are reportedly also preparing to
take legal action against the company after developing cancer.

In
light of the lawsuit and the World Health Organization’s 2015
conclusion that the chemical is a “probable carcinogen,” said EWG
on Wednesday, “It is very troubling that cereals children like to
eat contain glyphosate.”

“Parents
shouldn’t worry about whether feeding their children healthy oat
foods will also expose them to a chemical linked to cancer. The
government must take steps to protect our most vulnerable
populations,” said Alexis Temkin, Ph.D, a toxicologist at the
organization.

However,
EWG cautioned consumers against waiting for President Donald Trump’s
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to take any action in light of
the startling study. In December the agency issued a “deeply
flawed” analysis, one which relied
heavily on
industry studies, which claimed that glyphosate is not harmful
for humans.

“We
will petition the Environmental Protection Agency to do its job and
end uses of glyphosate that resulted in the contamination we report
today,” EWG president Ken Cook said. “But we very much doubt our
petition will be acted upon by President Trump’s lawless EPA. So
we’re calling on the companies to make these iconic products with
clean ingredients.”

Greenpeace Australië heeft haar regering gevraagd de verkoop van Roundup aan
banden te leggen, nadat een rechter in Californië oordeelde dat een
man non-Hodgkin Lymfoon (dodelijke bloedkanker) opliep door veelvuldig
met Roundup te hebben gewerkt…….

Volgens
de jury wist Monsanto, de producent van Roundup, al decennia dat
glyfosaat, de werkzame stof in Roundup, gevaarlijk is voor de
volksgezondheid…. 

Monsanto Australië verschuilt zich achter de vergunning voor verkoop van deze
kankerzooi en stelt dat Roundup in veel landen is toegelaten door
organisaties als de EPA (in de VS)….. Monsanto VS gaat overigens in
beroep tegen de uitspraak en stelt dat het middel al meer dan 40 jaar is
toegelaten en ‘zonder problemen‘ is gebruikt….. Dit ondanks de vele
gevallen van kanker onder mensen die met deze troep hebben gewerkt (veelal bij professioneel gebruik) en Monsanto, zoals gezegd, weet dat
het middel gevaarlijk is…….

De
vraag is dan ook hoeveel mensen wereldwijd zijn gestorven aan de
beschreven dodelijke vorm van bloedkanker, mensen die als de man in de VS
professioneel met Rundup hebben gewerkt….. Het lullige is dat je
achteraf moeilijk of niet kan bewijzen dat Roundup de dood van een
persoon heeft veroorzaakt…..

Ongelofelijk
dat een bedrijf als Monsanto gewoon doorgaat met de productie van
Roundup…. Hoe godvergeten slecht moet je zijn??!!! Opvallend ook: Roundup werd op de  markt gebracht (in de 70er jaren), een paar jaar voor de grote insectensterfte begon, sindsdien is meer dan twee derde van de insecten
op onze kleine aarde uitgestorven…….. Als alle insecten zouden
uitsterven zal ook de mens het spreekwoordelijke loodje leggen…… Geen reden voor
gifmengers en moordenaars als Monsanto hun kankerproducten van de markt
te halen, of voor regerende politici werkelijk op te treden tegen dit smerige gif…..

De top van bedrijven als Monsanto zouden strafrechtelijk moeten worden vervolgd voor het moedwillig doden van mensen, ofwel ze moeten worden vervolgd voor (massa-) moord…….

Over vervolging gesproken: ook naar EU politici zoals ‘GroenLinks’ ploert Eickhout zou een strafrechtelijk onderzoek moeten worden ingesteld, deze schoft was ondanks zijn kennis over glyfosaat akkoord met nog 5 jaar lang gebruik van deze kankertroep in de EU…* (de EU besloot oktober vorig jaar dat glyfosaat en daarmee Roundup nog 5 jaar gebruikt mag worden……) VVD opperhufter Kamp wilde als minister pas na 10 jaar een verbod op Roundup, iets waarvoor ook hij vervolgd zou moeten worden….**

Greenpeace
says government should be ‘exercising the precautionary principle’
until more studies conducted

Greenpeace
has called on the Australian government to suspend the sale of the
weedkiller Roundup after a US court ruled it
had caused the terminal cancer of an American man.

On
Friday, the San Francisco superior court of California ruled that
Roundup caused school groundskeeper Dewayne Johnson to develop
non-Hodgkin lymphoma – a fatal blood cell cancer.

The
jury also found that manufacturer Monsanto “knew
for decades” the product was potentially dangerous, and acted “with
malice or oppression” by failing to warn Johnson of the risks.

The
weedkiller is widely available in Australian supermarkets and
hardware stores, and Greenpeace said
the government must now take “urgent action” to restrict it.

The
active chemical in Roundup – glyphosate – was classified as
“probably carcinogenic” in 2015 by the World Health Organisation.

It
is still
approved for use in Australia,
and is the most commonly used herbicide in the world.

Monsanto’s
vice president, Scott Partridge, has insisted that Roundup is safe,
saying on Friday that the “verdict doesn’t change the four-plus
decades of safe use and science behind the product”.

A
spokeswoman for Monsanto in Australia told Guardian Australia: “The
US Environmental Protection Agency and regulatory authorities around
the world, including Australia, support the fact that glyphosate does
not cause cancer.”

But
Greenpeace said the federal government should suspend the use of
glyphosate until more studies were conducted.

“We
need to be urgently exercising the precautionary principle,” said
Jamie Hanson, Greenpeace’s head of campaigns. “Use of this
dangerous product should be severely restricted.

“Roundup
is widely available for sale in Australia … potentially exposing
millions of people to its harmful effects. This case is only the
first of hundreds that have been filed in the US claiming Roundup
causes non-Hodgkin lymphoma. We have no idea how far this will spread
and how many more are to come.”

The
UK hardware chain Homebase announced it
would review its sale of Roundup in
the wake of the court decision.

But
Bunnings Warehouse in Australia said it had not removed Roundup
because it was still classified safe by the government regulator.

“We
follow advice from Australia’s chemical regulator, the Australian
Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), for this product,”
Clive Duncan, Bunnings’s director of marketing and merchandise,
said.

“We
take customer and team member welfare extremely seriously and
strongly recommend users read and follow the directions and
recommendations listed on the labels and packaging.”

The
chief executive of Cancer Council
Australia, Professor Sanchia Aranda, said Roundup posed no threat to
“mum-and-dad gardeners” as long as they took precautions.

“This
risk is only classified for people who use it in the workplace on a
regular basis,” she said.

“There
is no evidence there is a danger to mum-and-dad gardeners, or kids
who play in parks where Roundup is being sprayed.

“[Wear]
protective clothing to stop it getting on your skin – it doesn’t
need to be industrial protection – just make sure your arms and
legs are covered. Wear a mask so you don’t inhale it.”

But
she said this advice would change if Monsanto was hiding more
information about Roundup.

“The
most concerning thing is the suggestion that they are holding any
information back. We want to emphasise that if there is other
information that Monsanto have, that they must be transparent. We
have zero tolerance for companies who protect their shareholders over
the public.”

The
Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority confirmed
the court decision would not change Roundup’s status in Australia.

“The
APVMA is aware of the decision in the Californian superior court,”
a spokesman said.

“Glyphosate
is registered for use in Australia and APVMA approved products
containing glyphosate can continue to be used safely according to
label directions.”

Monsanto
said it intenedd to appeal against the decision in the US.

Shares
in an Australian maker of a similar product, Nufarm Ltd, fell 17%
after the weekend’s decision, hitting a two-year low.

‘Protection Environmental Agency’ staat gebruik asbest weer toe…….

Het
Environmental Protecion Agency (EPA) is er o.a. om de burgers in de
VS te beschermen tegen gevaarlijke chemische stoffen, echter daar komt in de praktijk geen bliksem van
terecht, zo bleek afgelopen 1 juni, toen de EPA het gebruik van het zwaar kankerverwekkende asbest weer toestond……… Het moet dan wel gaan om ‘echt nieuwe
gebruiksregels’ (SNUR >> Significant New Use Rule)…….

Neemt
niet weg dat men ook asbest weer mag gebruiken voor dakbedekking en
de restricties zullen in de praktijk vrijwel niet tot verboden op het
gebruik van asbest leiden…..

Hoe
is ‘t mogelijk mensen..??!!! Een overheidsorgaan dat een stof toestaat waarvoor bij wijze van spreken kilometers aan bewijzen liggen dat het zwaar kankerverwekkend is…… Ach ja, zoals bij ons heel vaak de centen voorgaan op de volksgezondheid, is het in de VS een ‘nationale sport’ om de producten van bedrijven toe te staan die schadelijk zijn voor de volksgezondheid…… (men is zelfs bezig om de etikettering van deze stoffen niet langer verplicht te stellen, dan wel te alsnog te verplichten…..) E.e.a. blijkt ook weer uit het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Sydney Franklin dat werd gepubliceerd op National News Product Technology. Jaarlijks overlijden alleen in de VS al 40.000 mensen aan de gevolgen van asbestkanker (ook wel mesothelioom genoemd)…..

Moet je nagaan dat er in Washington al
vanaf begin vorig jaar een peperdure EU lobbyclub zit, die het liefst
vandaag nog het TTIP verdrag getekend wil hebben….. Als Trump al
geneigd zou zijn dit te doen, is het zeker, dat ook fabrieken die in
hun producten asbest hebben verwerkt, deze producten mogen gaan
verkopen in de EU, immers Trump heeft alleen oog voor de belangen van
VS bedrijven………

The
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has enacted a SNUR (Significant
New Rule) allowing companies to use new asbestos-containing products

One
of the most dangerous construction-related carcinogens is now legally
allowed back into U.S. manufacturing under a new rule by the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Fast
Company recently
reported that on June 1, the EPA authorized a “SNUR” (Significant
New Use Rule) which allows new products containing asbestos to be
created on a case-by-case basis. 

According
to environmental advocates, this new rule gives chemical companies
the upper hand in creating new uses for harmful products in the
United States. In May, the EPA released
a report detailing
its new framework for evaluating the risk of its top prioritized
substances. The report states that the agency will no longer consider
the effect or presence of substances in the air, ground, or water in
its risk assessments.

This
news comes after the EPA reviewed its first batch of 10 chemicals
under the 2016 amendment to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act
(TSCA), which requires the agency to continually reevaluate hundreds
of potentially toxic chemicals in lieu of removing them from the
market or placing new restrictions on their use. The SNUR greenlights
companies to use toxic chemicals like asbestos without consideration
about how they will endanger people who are indirectly in contact
with them.

Asbestos
was widely used in building insulation up until it was banned in most
countries in the 1970s. The U.S. is one of the only nations in the
world that has placed significant restrictions on the substance
without banning it completely. The Asbestos
Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) revealed
in April that asbestos-related deaths now total nearly 40,000
annually, with lung cancer and mesothelioma being the most common
illnesses in association with the toxin. That number could rise if
new asbestos-containing products make their way into new buildings.

Healthy
Building Network (HBN),
an environmental advocacy group, told Fast
Company that
the fibrous material poses a major health risk for everyone exposed
to it, including those who mine it, those who handle it in industrial
facilities, as well as people near or inside renovation and
construction projects where it’s being used. HBN’s Board
President Bill Walsh said that the chlor-alkali industry is the only
industry in the country that still uses asbestos, reportedly
importing about 480 tons of the carcinogen each year from Russia and
Brazil. 

Walsh
pointed out that chlorine-based plastics are commonly found in
building-product materials and that “virtually all” asbestos in
the U.S. is used in the industrial process to make chlorine. This
includes PVC and vinyl plastics, which is largely found in the
creation of pipes, tiles, flooring, adhesives, paints, and roofing
products.

As
the world’s largest exporter of asbestos, the Russian
company Uralasbest operates
an enormous open mine nearly half
the size of Manhattanin
a mountainous town 900 miles northeast of Moscow, according to the
Center for Public Integrity. The company has support from the
government and President Vladimir Putin, even though their economic
success exposes the local residents to major health risks. Once
referred to as “the dying city,” Asbest’s residents have
reported the carcinogenic dust is often found as a thick film over
garden vegetables, laundry lines, and even on the floors of their
homes.

Earlier
last month, The
Washington Post noted
that the Environmental
Working Group (EWG)
and the ADAO had discovered a controversial post on Uralasbest’s
Facebook page showing
photos of company pallets stamped with a seal of U.S. President
Donald Trump’s face. Trump has long been vocal about his
skepticism on the harmful effects of asbestos, citing in his 1997
book, The
Art of the Comeback,
that anti-asbestos efforts were “led by the mob.” In 2012,
he tweeted that
the World Trade Center might not have burned had the fire-retardant
material not been removed from the towers. It’s estimated that
400 tons of asbestos fiber went into the structures before the
developers stopped it from being used further in 1971. 

Asbestos,
while already legal for some uses, has not been as widely used in
U.S. construction since nearly 60 countries forbid it from use over
40 years ago. Though the EPA is now easing its regulations against
integrating the harmful toxin and others like it under the Trump
administration, it will largely be the responsibility of local and
state governments, as well as companies and informed consumers to
counter these new federal moves. Walsh says it’s up to sustainable
building-product manufacturers and ultimately, architects to pressure
the market.

“Architects
really set the pace of design, in terms of aesthetics and materials
that we like,” he said. “If they start to incorporate
health-based criteria into their palette, it could really have an
influence on what the manufacturers produce.”

The
EPA told The
Washington Post it will
conduct further studies on the first 10 chemicals under the amended
TSCA and final risk evaluations will published in December 2019.

Hartklachten ook door lage niveau’s van luchtvervuiling…..

Gisteren
op BBC World Service nieuws over een onderzoek van de Queen Mary
University (of London >> QMU) naar de gevolgen van luchtvervuiling op het
functioneren van het hart.

Zelfs
lage niveau’s van luchtvervuiling veranderen de structuur van het
hart, veranderingen die ook te zien zijn bij de vroege stadia van
hartfalen……..

Alweer
een studie die aantoont dat de werkelijke schade van luchtvervuiling
veel verder gaan dan ooit gedacht….. Het is al zo dat rond de
18.000 mensen* jaarlijks vroegtijdig overlijden ten gevolge van
langdurige auto-uitstoot inademing, mensen die na een akelig ziekbed
overlijden aan kanker…..

Toch
maakt bijna niemand zich daar druk over, nee het roken moet aangepakt
worden, de staatssecretaris van ‘Volksgezondheid’, Blokhuis (CU) wil
ook het roken op terrassen verbieden, terwijl je daar veelal wordt
vergiftigd door de uitlaatgassen van auto’s…….

De
hoogste tijd dat de landelijke politiek eindelijk beslist dat auto’s voor het
grootste deel uit steden moeten verdwijnen, i.p.v. het bouwen van nog
meer parkeergarages tegen of in de binnensteden door de vingers te zien…….

New
research links low levels of air pollution with serious changes in
the heart

Researchers
from Queen Mary University of London have found that people exposed
to air pollution levels well within UK guidelines have changes in the
structure of the heart, similar to those seen in the early stages of
heart failure.

The
study, led by Professor
Steffen Petersen,
was part-funded by the British
Heart Foundation (BHF)
and published in the journal Circulation.

It
looked at data from around 4,000 participants in the UK
Biobank study,
where volunteers provided a range of personal information, including
their lifestyles, health record and details on where they have lived.
Participants also had blood tests and health scans, and heart MRI
(magnetic resonance imaging) was used to measure the size, weight and
function of the participants’ hearts at fixed times.

Pollution
levels within UK guidelines

The
team found a clear association between those who lived near loud,
busy roads, and were exposed to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) or PM2.5 –
small particles of air pollution – and the development of larger
right and left ventricles in the heart. The ventricles are important
pumping chambers in the heart and, although these participants were
healthy and had no symptoms, similar heart remodelling is seen in the
early stages of heart failure.  

Higher
exposures to the pollutants were linked to more significant changes
in the structure of the heart. For every 1 extra µg per cubic
metre of PM2.5 and for every 10 extra µg per cubic metre
of NO2, the heart enlarges by approximately 1 per cent. 

In
the study, average annual exposures to PM2.5 were well within UK
guidelines (25µg per cubic metre), although they were approaching or
past World
Health Organisation (WHO)
guidelines (10µg per cubic metre).

‘Doctors
and the general public all need to be aware’

Air
pollution is now the largest environmental risk factor linked to
deaths in England. The UK Government’s consultationon
their draft Clean Air Strategy closes on 14 August 2018, which
commits to halving the number of people in the UK living in areas
where PM2.5 levels exceed WHO guidelines (10µg per cubic metre)
by 2025. Following this research, the BHF are calling for this action
to go further to reduce the health impacts of toxic air as quickly as
possible.  

Dr
Nay Aung who led the data analysis from Queen Mary’s William
Harvey Research Institute and
Barts Health NHS Trust said: “Although
our study was observational and hasn’t yet shown a causal link, we
saw significant changes in the heart, even at relatively low levels
of air pollution exposure. Our future studies will include data from
those living in inner cities like Central Manchester and London,
using more in-depth measurements of heart function, and we would
expect the findings to be even more pronounced and clinically
important. 

“Air
pollution should be seen as a modifiable risk factor. Doctors and the
general public all need to be aware of their exposure when they think
about their heart health, just like they think about their blood
pressure, their cholesterol and their weight.” 

Professor
Jeremy Pearson, Associate Medical Director at the BHF said: “We
can’t expect people to move home to avoid air pollution –
Government and public bodies must be acting right now to make all
areas safe and protect the population from these harms.  

“What
is particularly worrying is that the levels of air pollution,
particularly PM2.5, at which this study saw people with heart
remodelling are not even deemed particularly high by the UK
Government – this is why we are calling for the WHO guidelines to
be adopted.”

This
research was a collaboration between Queen Mary University of London,
Barts Heart Centre and the University of Oxford.

* 18.000 mensen die vroegtijdig overlijden? Hier een deel van een bericht dat ik op 16 mei jl. publiceerde: de Nederlander leeft door de uitstoot van o.a. auto’s, vliegtuigen en kolencentrales 13 maanden korter. Dit cijfer werd eerder vorig jaar ook door Milieudefensie naar buiten gebracht en zou in feite een gemiddelde moeten zijn.

Als je 17 miljoen (Nederlanders) maal 13 maanden berekent kom je op 221 miljoen maanden uit, ofwel 18.416.666 jaar. Stel dat de gemiddelde Nederlander 70 jaar oud wordt, zou dit een aantal van 263.095 mensenlevens opleveren……..

Bovendien is de vaststelling dat mensen 13 maanden korter leven een gemiddelde, terwijl er daadwerkelijk veel mensen, zoals gezegd 18.000 (al is dat aantal waarschijnlijk zelfs veel hoger….) wel degelijk vroegtijdig overlijden aan alleen de gevolgen van langdurige inademing van auto-uitstoot en dat zoals gezegd na een akelig ziekbed……. Daarnaast is dit een extra kosten opdrijvende factor voor de totale Nederlandse zorgkosten……

In het BNR nieuws van gistermiddag (17.30 u.) het bericht dat de verkoop van dieselauto’s sterk is teruggelopen. Een goede zaak zou je denken, maar daar denkt de nieuwsredactie van BNR heel anders over: volgens deze nieuwsredactie hebben meerdere landen in de EU last van een terugloop in de vraag naar dieselauto’s….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Ja, ‘oh gruwel, je moet er niet aan denken, een schonere lucht en verminderde gezondheidsklachten bij mensen (en kinderen) die langs snelwegen en doorgaande wegen wonen: gewoonweg walgelijk!!’

Opladers levensgevaarlijk, geen reden tot ingrijpen, de centen gaan nu eenmaal ver voor op veiligheid en volksgezondheid…….

Regelmatig wordt er als oorzaak voor brand de oplader genoemd. Vanmiddag werd op BBC Scotland (radio rond 12.17 u. CET) de luisteraar gewaarschuwd geen goedkope opladers te kopen, daar deze regelmatig in de fik vliegen……

Onmiddellijk bedacht ik me dat het toch wel bijzonder vreemd is dat er producten verkocht mogen worden, die letterlijk levensgevaarlijk zijn…… Een brand kan niet alleen levens eisen, maar kosten de gemeenschap ook nog eens regelmatig een enorme bak geld, daar mensen niet verzekerd zijn en zelf niet de middelen hebben zich een nieuw interieur aan te schaffen (je kan een gezin met kinderen immers terecht niet in de kou laten staan)…..

Deze zaken in ogenschouw genomen, nogmaals: waarom mogen er levensgevaarlijke producten verkocht worden?? Het zoveelste bewijs dat we politiek al lang niet meer door een volksvertegenwoordiging worden bestuurd, maar door een bedrijvenvertegenwoordiging (ofwel lobbyisten voor het bedrijfsleven) en tja daar gaan de centen nu eenmaal kilometers ver voor op onze veiligheid en op de volksgezondheid!!

In Nederland is één van de verantwoordelijke partijen, het CDA…… Onder de kabinetten Balkenende heeft men de inspecties teruggebracht naar een onverantwoord laag aantal…. Een groot aantal inspecties werd ondergebracht bij de NVWA en dat met een fikse korting op het budget en personeel……. Alles in de strijd tegen de zogenaamde vermaledijde regeldruk, waar politici van deze partij en van de VVD (die zich tegen deze regeldruk verzetten), na het terugbrengen van de inspecties keihard durfden te zeggen, dat veiligheid nu eenmaal lang niet altijd is te geven en deze onder de eigen verantwoordelijkheid van het individu valt…… Je zou dat geteisem strafrechtelijk moeten vervolgen voor alle doden die sindsdien zijn gevallen, door het wegbezuinigen van inspecties……..

Radioactieve wijn door kernramp Fukushima

ZeroHedge
bracht gisteren (donderdag 26 juli) een artikel waarin het nieuws dat
er radioactieve straling afkomstig uit de rampencentrales van
Fukushima is terug gevonden in Californische wijn……

Overheden
en media hebben willens en wetens verzwegen dat de enorme
radioactieve vervuiling door de Fukushima kernramp in 2011, een flink deel van de landen aan de Stille Oceaan heeft bereikt en nog zal bereiken, nog steeds stromen er bij
tijd en wijle grote hoeveelheden radioactief water in zee……
Voorts is er besmetting via de lucht (radioactieve stoom enz…) en
zal er via verdamping van radioactief zeewater ook weer radioactiviteit in de
atmosfeer terechtkomen….

De
autoriteiten in de VS bagatelliseerden al van meet af aan de gevolgen
van de kernramp in het Japanse Fukushima en eerdere gemeten radioactiviteit zou
(zoals gewoonlijk) geen gevaar vormen voor de volksgezondheid, een
leugen van formaat zoals je begrijpt….. Ach ja, de kernenergie maffia heeft een uitermate sterke lobby en dat bepaald niet alleen in de VS of Japan…… Zelfs de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) stelt dat de gevonden hoeveelheid radioactieve straling geen gevaar is voor de volksgezondheid……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ik moet zeggen dat het me nog meevalt geen pleidooi voor kernenergie te horen van de WHO……..

Over Japan gesproken, daar is het helemaal bal, men is bezig om mensen weer in de
buurt van de rampencentrale van Fukushima te (her)huisvesten, een enorm
onverantwoordelijk beleid en dat alleen om aan te tonen, dat
radioactieve straling weinig kwaad kan….. Het kan zo weinig kwaad, dat relatief kort na de Fukushima ramp aan de westkust van Canada stralingszieke vis werd gevangen, letterlijk doodzieke vis…..


Op andere plekken in westelijk Canada werd na de ramp in Fukushima een toename van 300% in radioactieve straling gemeten…… Je raadt het al: geen gevaar voor de volksgezondheid….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Deze metingen werden verzwegen door de reguliere, zogenaamd onafhankelijke media, niet vreemd als je bedenkt dat de regeringen van de VS en Canada liever geen onrust stokerij zien over deze (en andere) kernrampen…… Overigens geldt dit ook voor de andere reguliere westerse media (en ik neem aan voor het grootste deel van de wereldwijde massamedia…..)…


Controle op wat er gebeurt in die kerncentrale van Fukushima is er niet, mensen die kritisch zijn op kernenergie worden niet getolereerd in de buurt van de centrale, noch op land, noch op zee…..

Radiation Was Just Discovered in California Wine

the 2011 disaster at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan —
which left Japanese residents contending with toxic water
and radioactive
wild boars, World
Health Organization (WHO) officials said that particles of
radioactive fallout which made its way to the Western United States
and elsewhere was no biggie and didn’t pose a health risk.

California
wine lovers will get to test that theory, after researchers at the
French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) discovered
cesium-137 in several golden-state vintages. The
researchers tested 18 bottles of California rosé and cabernet
sauvignon from 2009 onward — finding increased levels of the
radioactive isotope in bottles produced after the Fukushima disaster.
The cabernets had double the radiation of the other wine, according
to the study.

“We
can measure some radioactive level that is much higher than the usual
level,” said Michael Pravikoff, a physicist at a French
research center who worked on the study.

“The
French research team has in recent years examined wines from around
the world, trying to correlate the level of radioactive material with
the date the wine grapes were picked.

“Wines
made around major nuclear events, including American and Soviet
nuclear tests during the Cold War and the Chernobyl accident, should
show higher levels of radioactive isotopes, called cesium-137,
according to the researchers. The man-made isotope cannot be
found in nature and would be present only at certain levels after the
nuclear events.” –NYT

While
ingesting cesium-137 elevates one’s risk of cancer, the
radioactive particles found in California wine “are not seen as a
health hazard” according to Pravikoff, who said: “These
levels are so low, way below the natural radioactivity that’s
everywhere in the world.”

“The
California Department of Public Health (CDPH) said Friday that it had not
previously heard of the study, but that there were no ‘health and
safety concerns to California residents.’

“’This
report does not change that,’ a department spokesman, Corey Egel,
said in an emailed statement.

“Mr.
Pravikoff said the California bottles had radioactive levels so low
that the researchers had to use a special technique to measure them:
burning the wine to ashes.

“In
other cases, where radiation is higher, the team’s equipment can
measure the radiation through the glass of the wine bottle, so the
bottle does not have to be opened.” –NYT

In
2016, AP reported
that “Radiation from Japan’s Fukushima nuclear disaster detected
on Oregon shores,” however officials claimed that the samples from
Tillamook Bay and Gold Beach were “at extremely low levels not
harmful to humans.”

That
said, as Whitney Webb of TrueActivist noted
at the time, Even if we can’t see the radiation itself, some
parts of North America’s western coast have been feeling the
effects for years. Not long after Fukushima, fish in
Canada began
bleeding from
their gills, mouths, and eyeballs. This “disease” has been
ignored by the government and has decimated native fish populations,
including the North Pacific herring. Elsewhere in Western Canada,
independent scientists have measured a 300%
increase in
the level of radiation. According to them, the amount of radiation in
the Pacific Ocean is increasing every year. Why is this being ignored
by the mainstream media? It might have something to do with the
fact that the US and Canadian governments have banned
their citizens from talking
about Fukushima so
“people don’t panic.”

Also
in 2016, Japanese officials admitted there was a cover-up,
and there was a concerted effort to downplay the significance of the
reactor meltdowns.

Multiple
reactors at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant melted down after
50-foot a tsunami wave crashed through barriers and knocked out the
reactors’ backup generators. The disaster spewed radioactive
fallout into the air and water – sickening the crew of the
nearby USS
Ronald Reagan as
they provided support.

And
while the sailors were undoubtedly exposed to concentrated doses of
radioactive isotopes that are nowhere near the levels which have been
found along the West Coast – and now in California wine, it is
premature – and perhaps highly irresponsible, for officials to
claim that such small doses will have no effect, as radiation
exposure is cumulative and the Fukushima disaster was an
unprecedented event due to its massive release of
radioactivity into the Pacific Ocean.

RIVM wist gistermorgen niet of er een smogalarm moest worden afgegeven……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Het RIVM zou gisteren tegen de middag zien of een smogalarm nodig was….

Het RIVM, het ‘gezondheidsinstituut’ van de overheid, moest nog even meten of er inderdaad meer dan voldoende fijnstof in de lucht zat om zo´n alarm af te geven…….

De mussen donderen van het dak, de ene oudere na de andere bezwijkt en zelfs gezonde mensen hebben al dagen zichtbaar moeite met het normaal functioneren……

Maar het RIVM moet nog even meten of men wel last zou kunnen hebben van de smogvorming……

Het is ten overvloede weer eens bewezen: het RIVM wil zo min mogelijk het auto-, scheeps- en luchtverkeer aanwijzen als dader voor de slechte luchtkwaliteit in ons land, die NB tot de slechtste van de EU behoort……

Ach ja, de centen gaan in de huidige neoliberale prestatiemaatschappij ver voor op de volksgezondheid……

Er zijn mensen die volkomen vertrouwen op het oordeel van het RIVM, zo bezien genoeg om dit instituut strafrechtelijk te vervolgen voor minstens ‘serie-doodslag’!

Weg met het waardeloze belasting verslindende RIVM!!
