Michelle Obama en massamedia proberen oorlogsmisdaden G.W. Bush weg te poetsen met een snoepje

Tijdens de begrafenis van zijn vader, massamoordenaar en oorlogsmisdadiger George H.W. Bush, gaf de nog grotere massamoordenaar en oorlogsmisdadiger G.W. Bush, Michelle Obama een snoepje. Deze handeling leidde tot een meer dan belachelijke en hysterische reactie in de reguliere (massa-) media, waar men Bush als een geweldige en gevoelige man afschilderde.
Deze kontlikkerij van de reguliere media is niet alleen in het belang van Bush, maar uiteraard ook van die media zelf, immers zij hebben zonder enig onderzoek, laat staan kritiek de illegale oorlogen van die deze schoft begon van meet af aan gesteund (en zelfs nog daarvoor)……. Oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, al zijn de laatste 2 van die oorlogen aangegaan door de Obama administratie, zometeen meer daarover. Oh nee, dom van mij, de oorlogen in Afghanistan en Irak zijn in feite nog steeds gaande en hebben intussen aan meer dan 2 miljoen mensen uit die 2 landen het leven gekost (alleen in Irak al meer dan 1,5 miljoen doden…..)….
Diezelfde massamedia hebben ‘uiteraard’ ook de illegale oorlogen van de Obama administratie uitentreuren gesteund. Het gaat dan om de illegale oorlogen tegen Libië en Syrië, naast een groot aantal geheime militaire operaties in andere delen van Afrika, plus de opstand in Oekraïne, die door Hillary Clinton, destijds minister van BuZa, werd georganiseerd (i.s.m. de CIA) en waar de VS 4 miljard dollar aan spendeerde……..
Gevolg van de gelukte opzet van die opstand in Oekraïne, een staatsgreep tegen de democratisch gekozen regering Janoekovytsj, heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de neonazi-junta van Porosjenko een oorlog begon tegen de Oekraïners in het oosten van het land, daar deze mensen niet wensten te leven onder de neonazi-junta van Porosjenko en terecht goed pissig waren over de coup tegen een o.a. door hen gekozen regering en president……..

Alle leugens gefabriceerd door de VS over Oekraïne werden en worden zonder enig commentaar overgenomen door de reguliere media, op aangeven van de geheime diensten van de VS en die van haar westerse partners….. Ga maar eens na wat diezelfde media te vertellen zouden hebben als er bijvoorbeeld eenzelfde staatsgreep zou hebben plaatsgevonden in een land als België…… De rapen zouden gaar zijn geweest en diezelfde media zouden moord en brand hebben geschreeuwd…… (hoewel, zouden ze dat ook doen als de VS ook in België de antidemocratische agressor zou zijn geweest?)

Voorts zijn er nog de moorden die de VS pleegt op verdachten, dit middels drones….. Dit terreurprogramma werd door Bush opgezet en in veel groter aantal door de Obama administratie overgenomen, intussen heeft Trump deze terreuraanslagen nog verder uitgebreid…… Hoe is het mogelijk dat zogenaamd onafhankelijke mediaorganen niet met hevige kritiek op deze standrechtelijke executies zijn gekomen, zeker nadat een paar jaar geleden al bekend werd gemaakt dat meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers van die VS terreuraanslagen, niet eens werden verdacht, dus vooral vrouwen en kinderen…???

The fact that George W Bush has given Michelle Obama two pieces of candy is once again making headlines in mainstream outlets like Time, The Hill, and Newsweek. He has not given her any new pieces of candy since the last time he did so at his father’s funeral. He also has not ceased to be the man who facilitated the murder of a million Iraqis and inflicted a whole new level of military expansionism and Orwellian surveillance upon our world. As near as I can tell, the only reason this story is once again making headlines is because Michelle Obama and the mainstream media have decided to bring it up again.
“He has the presence of mind and the sense of humor to bring me a mint, and he made it a point to give me that mint right then and there and that’s the beauty of George Bush,” Obama said of the war criminal in conversation at the SAP Center over the weekend, which we apparently need to know about because the news is telling us about it.
“We’re all Americans. We all care about our family and our kids, and we’re trying to get ahead,” Obama continued. “And that’s how I feel about [Bush]. You know? He’s a beautiful, funny, kind, sweet man.”

I have always respected Michelle Obama. But continuing to glorify a mass murderer responsible for the death of over a million defenseless innocent civilians, reflects more on her own character than on that of that despicable war criminal.

If you’re starting to feel like attempts to rehabilitate George W Bush’s image are being aggressively shoved down your throat by the mass media at every opportunity, it’s because that is exactly what is happening. Every few weeks there’s a new deluge of headlines explaining to consumers of mainstream media why they should love the 43rd president because he’s such a cutesy wootsey cuddle pie, and completely forget about the piles upon piles of human corpses he is responsible for creating for no legitimate reason at all. The last Bush appreciation blitz was less than two weeks ago.
And there is a reason for this. Make no mistake, this relentless, aggressive campaign to rehabilitate George W Bush whether you like it or not is actually a campaign to rehabilitate what he did and the mass media’s unforgivable complicity in it.
The mass media failed spectacularly to practice due diligence and hold power to account in the lead-up to the illegal and unconscionable Iraq invasion, not just the ghouls at Fox News but respected centrist outlets like CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post as well. Bogus government reports were passed on uncritically and unquestioned, antiwar demonstrations with hundreds of thousands of protesters were ignored and downplayed, and the words “Saddam Hussein” and “9/11” were deliberately mentioned in the same breath so frequently that seven out of ten Americans still believed Saddam was responsible for the September 11 attacks months after the Iraq invasion had occurred.

In an environment where the New York Times is instructing its readers how to “help fight the information wars” against Russia, the BBC is coaching its audience to scream the word “whataboutism” whenever a skeptic of establishment Russia narratives brings up Iraq, and the US Secretary of Defense is claiming that Putin is trying to “undermine America’s moral authority,” the massive credibility hit that imperial media and institutions took by deceiving the world into the destruction of Iraq matters. Propaganda is a lot more important in cold war than in hot war since avoiding direct military confrontation limits the options of the participants, and Iraq is a giant bullet hole in the narrative of US moral authority which Moscow is rightly all too happy to point out.

Without the claim of moral authority, none of America’s manipulations against Russia make any sense. It’s absurd for America to spend years shrieking about Russian election meddling after it openly rigged Russia’s elections in the nineties, unless America claims that it rigged Russia’s elections for moral reasons while Russia rigged America’s elections for immoral reasons. It makes no sense to have mainstream western media outlets uncritically manufacturing support for wars and coaching their audiences on how to help government agencies fight “information wars” against Russia while also criticizing RT as “state media”, unless you can say that western media functions as an arm of the US government for moral reasons while RT does so for immoral reasons. It makes no sense for the US to criticize Russian military interventionism when the US is vastly more guilty of vastly more egregious forms of military interventionism, unless the US can claim its interventionism is moral while Russia’s is immoral.

For this reason it’s been necessary to rehabilitate the image of the Iraq invasion, and since there is no aspect of the Iraq invasion itself that isn’t soaked in blood and gore, they are rehabilitating its most recognizable face instead. Mainstream media outlets are doing this both to restore their own credibility and the credibility of the US world order they serve, in order to help secure crucial narrative control as we slide ever closer to a direct military confrontation with Russia and/or China.
Whoever controls the narrative controls the world, and Iraq is a major weak point in the US-centralized empire’s narrative control. When you see a political insider like Michelle Obama constantly facilitating the mass media’s fixation on how cuddly wuddly George W Bush has become, you are not witnessing a heartwarming moment, you are not witnessing redemption, and you are most certainly not witnessing the news. You are witnessing war propaganda, plain and simple.

‘George H.W. Bush overleden: weer wordt een grote oorlogsmisdadiger de hemel in geprezen‘

Westerse massamedia lopen aan de leiband van plutocraten, de neoliberale politiek en geheime diensten

Caitlin Johnstone heeft zich over de berichtgeving van de massamedia gebogen en zet een aantal feiten wat betreft de reguliere (massa-) media op een rij, waarbij ze tot verrassende inzichten komt.
Als eerste buigt Johnstone zich over de vraag waarom journalisten van de reguliere media in ‘vrije democratieën’ (‘een beetje dubbelop’) zich gedragen als hun collega’s van staatsmedia propagandisten. Waarom gedragen ze zich als betrouwbare vertegenwoordigers van de gevestigde orde en waarom wordt elk idee gemarginaliseerd dat niet past in wat op een bepaald moment als een correcte gedachte wordt gezien? (en dat kan op zeer grove manier gebeuren, zie de smerige en uiterst valse berichtgeving over de Britse Labour leider Jeremy Corbyn door de reguliere media waar ook de BBC deel van uitmaakt, al kan je die ‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’ als staatsomroep onder een dictatuur zien)

Waarom worden mensen die de gevestigde orde bekritiseren altijd door de media veroordeeld? Waarom worden ‘fouten’ in een land dat buiten de invloedssfeer en de macht van de gecentraliseerde VS-alliantie valt, zo kritisch becommentarieerd door de reguliere (westerse) media, terwijl fouten binnen die alliantie worden vergeven, of veelal zelfs niet worden genoemd?
Volgens Johnstone zijn er maar twee verklaringen voor die unanieme instemming van de reguliere media op die onderwerpen:
Die instemming bestaat omdat die media altijd de waarheid zouden vertellen, of die instemming bestaat omdat er een systeem is ontstaan, waarin de journalisten van de reguliere media ons voorliegen en een vals beeld schetsen van wat er gebeurt in de wereld.
Volgens Johnstone zijn dit de enige mogelijkheden, waarbij ze de eerste uiteraard afwijst, immers als deze media altijd de waarheid vertellen, zouden deze media niet de leugens herhalen over bijvoorbeeld de oorlogen in Vietnam en Irak, ofwel dan zou het afslachten van miljoenen op grond van leugens niet zijn verdedigd in die media………

Eén en ander betekent overigens niet dat de grote reguliere media alleen maar liegen, immers dan zou men de klanten snel verliezen, nee men brengt natuurlijk ook echt nieuws, naast halve waarheden, verdraaide feiten en de al genoemde leugens.
Lees het artikel van Johnstone, zij legt deze zaak duidelijk uit, waarna de conclusie wordt getrokken dat de media inderdaad aan de leiband lopen van plutocraten of fondsen van aandeelhouders (oké dat was al bekend, maar Johnstone geeft het geheel handen en voeten). Voorts meldt Johnstone ten overvloede nog eens dat de CIA al sinds de 50er jaren van de vorige eeuw bemoeienis heeft met de reguliere (massa-) media in de VS…….

Why do mainstream media reporters within ostensibly free democracies act just like state media propagandists? Why are they so reliably pro-establishment, all throughout every mainstream outlet? The way I see it there are only two possible explanations for the unanimous consensus in mass media on these issues:

Explanation 1: The consensus exists because the mass media reporters are all telling the truth all the time.

OR

Explanation 2: The consensus exists because there is some kind of system in place which keeps all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false picture about what’s going on in the world.
Those are the only two possibilities, and only one can be true, since any mixture of the two would result in the loss of consensus.
Most mainstream westerners harbor an unquestioned assumption that Explanation 1 is the only possibility. The things they see on CNN, the BBC and the ABC are all accurate descriptions of what’s really going on in the world, and the consensus in their descriptions exists because they’re all describing the same objective reality.
But what would that mean exactly? Well, for starters if the mainstream media reporters are telling us the truth all the time it would mean that the same power institutions which slaughtered millions in Vietnam and Iraq for no good reason are actually virtuous and honest. It would mean the positive, uncritical picture that is consistently painted of those same institutions which wage nonstop campaigns of bloodshed and oppression to ensure the profit of economic manipulators and war profiteers is due to those institutions possessing merits which are overall so positive that no criticism of them is needed. It would mean that the status quo of climate destruction, steadily growing wealth inequality, an increasingly Orwellian surveillance system, an increasingly militarized police force, increasing internet censorship, and crushing neoliberal austerity measures are all things people voted for using the excellent democratic political system the mainstream media defends, based on the accurate information the mainstream media gave them about what’s in their best interests.
Explanation 1 sounds improbable in that light. We know that the system is spectacularly screwed up, and we know that the political establishment which these mainstream outlets always defend does unforgivably evil things, so we should expect to see a lot more critical reporting and a lot less protecting of the status quo. But we don’t. We see war crimes ignored, oppression justified, the two-headed one-party system normalized, dissident narratives smeared as fake news conspiracy theories, and unproven assertions by government agencies with a known history of lying reported as unquestionable fact.
But that leaves only Explanation 2. How could that be right?
This part of a 1996 interview between Noam Chomsky and the BBC’s Andrew Marr describes a foundational element of Explanation 2: that there is a system in place which ensures that all the reporters in positions of influence are there not to report factually on the news of the day, but to sell a particular narrative that is friendly to the state and the status quo. Chomsky describes a “filtering system” which ensures that only those loyal to power rise to the top within the plutocrat-owned media, to which Marr objects and insists that his peers are brave truth-tellers who hold power to account. Subsequently, the following exchange takes place:
”Chomsky: Well, I know some of the best, and best known investigative reporters in the United States, I won’t mention names, whose attitude towards the media is much more cynical than mine. In fact, they regard the media as a sham. And they know, and they consciously talk about how they try to play it like a violin. If they see a little opening, they’ll try to squeeze something in that ordinarily wouldn’t make it through. And it’s perfectly true that the majority – I’m sure you’re speaking for the majority of journalists who are trained, have it driven into their heads, that this is a crusading profession, adversarial, we stand up against power. A very self-serving view. On the other hand, in my opinion, I hate to make a value judgement but, the better journalists and in fact the ones who are often regarded as the best journalists have quite a different picture. And I think a very realistic one.
Marr: How can you know that I’m self-censoring? How can you know that journalists are..
Chomsky: I’m not saying your self censoring. I’m sure you believe everything you’re saying. But what I’m saying is that if you believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where you’re sitting”.
“If you believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where you’re sitting.”
It is an obvious fact that mainstream media outlets are owned by the extremely wealthy, as has been the case for a very long time. Owning media is in and of itself a profitable investment, “like having a license to print your own money” as Canadian television magnate Roy Thomson once put it. So when it comes to the news media outlets which form people’s perceptions of the world, what incentive would a powerful plutocrat have to platform anti-establishment voices on those outlets and help sow ideas which upset the status quo upon which said plutocrat has built his empire? It certainly wouldn’t make him any more money, and if anti-establishment ideas like socialism, anarchism, non-interventionism or skepticism of government agencies gained popular footing in public consciousness, it could upset the foundation of the plutocrat’s dynasty and cause him to lose everything.
Plutocrats have put a lot of energy into influencing government policy in order to create legislation which ensures the continued growth of their wealth and power. A whole lot of maneuvering has had to happen over the course of many years to create a political system wherein government bribery is legal in the form of campaign finance and corporate lobbying, wherein deregulation of corporations is the norm, wherein tax loopholes are abundant and tax burdens are shifted to the middle class, wherein money hemorrhages upward to the wealthiest of the wealthy while ordinary people grow poorer and poorer. What incentive would these powerful oligarchs have to risk upsetting that delicate balancing act by helping to circulate ideas which challenge the very governmental system they’ve worked so hard to manipulate to their extreme advantage? And how many incentives would they have to keep everyone supporting the status quo?
How hard would it be to simply decline to give anti-establishment voices a platform, and platform establishment loyalists instead? How easy would it be for a wealthy media owner or influential investor to ensure that only establishment loyalists are given the job of hiring and promoting editors and reporters in a mainstream media outlet?

If you’ve ever wondered what motivates all those blue-checkmarked corporate media journalists to spend so much time on Twitter defending the powerful and attacking the disempowered, this is your answer. They spend their own free time smearing Jill Stein, calling Jeremy Corbyn an antisemite, attacking Julian Assange, supporting longtime neoconservative war agendas against Russia, Syria and Iran and uncritically reporting intelligence agency assertions as fact not because there’s a CIA officer hovering over their shoulder at all times telling them exactly what to tweet, but because they’re auditioning for a job. They’re creating a public record of their establishment loyalism which current and future employers will look at when weighing hiring and promotion decisions, which is why both journalism schools and journalism employers now encourage journalists to cultivate a social media presence to “build their brand”, i.e. their public resume.
So it’s very easy to fill mass media jobs with minds which are not predisposed toward rocking the boat. A pro-establishment consensus is artificially built, and now you’ve got an environment where someone who stands up and says “Uh, hey, so we still haven’t seen any actual hard evidence that Russia interfered in the US election in any meaningful way” or whatever is instantly greeted by a wall of shunning and shaming (observe Aaron Maté‘s interactions with other journalists on social media for a good example of this), which can be psychologically difficult to deal with.

Anyone who’s ever gone to high school can understand how powerful the social pressures to seek peer approval and fit in can be, and anyone who’s ever worked a normal job anywhere can understand the natural incentives that are in place to behave in a way that is pleasing to one’s bosses. In any job with any kind of hierarchy, you quickly learn the written rules, and you pay close attention to social cues to learn the unwritten ones as well. You do this in order to learn how to avoid getting in trouble and how to win the approval of your superiors, to learn which sorts of behaviors can lead to raises and promotions, and which behaviors will lead to a career dead-end. You learn what will earn you a pat on the back from a leader, which can be extremely egoically gratifying and incentivizing in and of itself.

It works exactly the same way in news media. Reporters might not always be consciously aware of all the pro-establishment guidelines they’re expected to follow in order to advance their careers, but they know how the reporters who’ve ascended to the top of the media ladder conduct themselves, and they see how the journalists who win the accolades behave. With the help of editors and peers you quickly learn where all the third rails and sacred cows are, and when to shut your mouth about the elephant in the room. And for those rare times that all these filtration devices fail to adequately filter out dissident ideas, you see the example that gets made of those few who slip between the cracks, like CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill for his defense of Palestinian human rights or Phil Donahue for his opposition to the Iraq invasion.

So plutocrats own the mass media and platform status quo-friendly voices, which creates an environment full of peer pressure to conform and workplace pressure to advance establishment-friendly narratives. Add to this the phenomenon of access journalism, wherein journalists are incentivized to cozy up to power and pitch softball questions to officials in order to gain access to them, and things get even more slanted. It’s easy to understand how all this can create an environment of consensus which has nothing to do with facts or reality, but rather with what narratives favor the US-centralized empire and the plutocrats who control it. But all those dynamics aren’t the only factors going into making sure a consensus worldview is maintained. Remember that hypothetical CIA officer I mentioned earlier who isn’t actively leaning over every journalist’s shoulder and dictating what they tweet? Well, just because he’s not dictating every word produced by the mass media machine doesn’t mean he’s not involved.

Secretive and unaccountable government agencies have an extensive and well-documented record of involving themselves with news media outlets. It is a known and undisputed fact that the Central Intelligence Agency has been intimately involved in America’s news media since the 1950s, and it remains so to this day. In 2014 it was a scandal when reporter Ken Dilanian was caught collaborating with the CIA in his publications, but now veterans of the US intelligence community like John Brennan and James Clapper openly fill out the line-up of talking heads on MSNBC and CNN. Just recently the Guardian published a lie-filled smear piece on Julian Assange which was almost certainly the resultof the outlet’s collaboration with one or more intelligence and/or defense agencies, and when that article caused an outcry it was defended as the likely result of Russian disinformation in an evidence-free article by a CIA veteran who was permitted to publish anonymously in Politico. The Washington Post is solely owned by Jeff Bezos, who is a CIA contractor, and who we may be certain did not purchase the Post under the illusion that newspapers were about to make a lucrative comeback. Secretive government agencies are deeply involved in the workings of western news media, in many ways we know about, and in far more ways we don’t know about.
Taking all of these factors into consideration and revisiting Explanation 1 and Explanation 2 from the beginning of this article, it should be obvious to you that the most logical explanation for the uniform consensus of support for pro-establishment narratives in the mass media exists because there is indeed a system in place which keeps all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false picture about what’s going on in the world.
This doesn’t mean that these news media outlets lie about everything all the time, it means they mostly provide half-truths, distortions and lies by omission whenever it benefits the agendas of the powerful, which is functionally the same as lying all the time. I sometimes get people telling me “Caitlin! The MSM lies all the time, and they say global warming is real! That means it’s false!” But it doesn’t work that way; if the TV tells you a celebrity has died then it’s probably true, and if they say it’s about to rain you should probably roll up your car windows. If they lied about everything all the time they would instantly lose all credibility, and their ability to propagandize effectively would be lost. Instead, they advance evidence-free narratives asserted by opaque government agencies, they avoid highlighting inconvenient truths, they ignore third parties and dissident ideas except to dismiss them, they harshly criticize the misdeeds of governments which oppose the US-centralized empire while sweeping the misdeeds of imperial members under the rug, and when there’s an opportunity to sabotage peace or support war, they seize it. They distort only when they have to, and only as much as they need to.
In this way the powerful have succeeded in controlling the people’s narratives about what’s happening in their country and their world. This is the system of narrative manipulation we are up against when we try to sow dissident ideas into public consciousness, and as the old adage goes, it is easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.

The unelected power establishment failed to manufacture support for its would-be Syria invasion, it failed to get the publicto buy into the Russia hysteria, trust in the mass media is at an all-time low, and it’s continuing to plummet. Een nieuw rapport dat is uitgekomen over de bemoeienis van de VS met de genocide die de Saoedische terreurcoalitie uitvoert in Jemen, spreekt van grote onregelmatigheden in de boekhouding van het Pentagon……. Het zou gaan om vele tientallen miljoenen dollars…..

Moet je nagaan, dan zijn er in Nederland en in de meeste andere NAVO landen anders dan de VS, figuren die stellen dat we veel te weinig uitgeven aan defensie, waarbij ze naar de VS wijzen, er niet bij vertellend dat de VS de laatste 17 jaar continue in illegale oorlogen was verwikkeld, waarbij de NAVO, haar eigenlijke bevelhebber, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, t.w. de VS steunt in haar ongebreidelde en smerige terreur……
Het voorgaande is nog maar één voorbeeld, waaruit duidelijk zou moeten zijn dat de VS een achterlijk godsvermogen aan belasting uitgeeft voor illegale oorlogsvoering…….. Als we een voorbeeld aan de VS moeten nemen, hoort daar ook een uitermate slechte boekhouding bij, immers de VS is o.a. door die boekhouding al honderden miljarden kwijtgeraakt in de loop van de jaren…… (ook wapenleveranties aan terreurgroepen in Syrië werden niet verantwoord in de boeken, ofwel die fouten in de boekhouding zijn voor een groot deel expres gemaakt….) Overigens als ons oorlogsapparaat efficiënt zou worden geleid, zou ook Nederland vele miljoenen kunnen besparen…..
Echter het meest valt te verdienen door niet meer deel te nemen aan de terreur van de VS, zoals Nederland dat deed in: -Afghanistan, een totaal zinloze illegale oorlog, -Irak, een illegale oorlog waarin tot nu toe NB meer dan 1,5 miljoen mensen zijn vermoord….., -Libië, eens het rijkste en meest vooruitstrevende land van Afrika, nu straatarm, gedompeld in terreur, waar godbetert openlijk slaven worden verkocht en waar als resultaat nu ook Mali is veranderd in oorlogsgebied, waar Nederland ook al een rol speelt (die stopt op 1 januari a.s.) en als laatste -Syrië, al evenzeer in puin gebombardeerd, waar de VS al vanaf 2006 bezig was met de voorbereiding van de opstand die tot het afzetten van de democratisch gekozen president Assad had moeten leiden……… Tijd dat iemand eens uitrekent hoeveel de Nederlandse belastingbetaler in totaal heeft bijgedragen aan de ongebreidelde VS terreur.

PENTAGON ACCIDENTALLY REFUELED SAUDI JETS OVER YEMEN FOR FREE

United States (Sputnik) – Amid a push by the Senate to vote on ending US support for the Saudi-led coalition waging war in Yemen this week, a new report indicates that American tankers have been refueling Saudi coalition jets with gas paid for by US taxpayers because of “errors in accounting.”
Millions of dollars have likely been drained from US coffers to support the Saudi-campaign, according to the report.
Though Washington “believed” Riyadh and the United Arab Emirates “had been charged for the fuel and refueling services, they in fact had not been charged adequately,” wrote William S. Castle, principal deputy general counsel at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, in a November 27 letter obtained by The Atlantic.
In the letter, one of the Pentagon’s top attorneys acknowledges that free refueling services for the Saudi coalition cost more money than he could calculate. While one might think that someone at the 3 million-person organization that is the Pentagon would know exactly how much the US is owed, Castle said in the letter that the department is “currently calculating the correct charges.” The Pentagon reached its conclusion following an inquiry sent by Senator Jack Reed, a Democrat from Rhode Island who sits as the second most powerful member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Tens of millions of dollars is probably a decent estimate of how much US taxpayers have contributed to the Saudi campaign, according to The Atlantic.
A spokesperson from the Pentagon confirmed the letter’s contents and its authenticity to the publication late last week.
“Although DoD has received some reimbursement for inflight refueling assistance provided to the Saudi-led coalition (SLC), US Central Command recently reviewed its records and found errors in accounting where DoD failed to charge the SLC adequately for fuel and refueling services,” said Commander Rebecca Rebarich, speaking to The Atlantic.
A spokesperson for CENTCOM specifically said the command was “still working through the calculation” of how much the Saudi coalition has paid for the refueling services and jet fuel.
In other military finance news, the Pentagon failed its first-ever audit last month, as accountants found myriad discrepancies in the department’s books that may take years to reconcile. “We failed the audit, but we never expected to pass it,” said Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan.

Activisten die deportatie van vluchtelingen stopten zijn aangeklaagd wegens terrorisme

Weer eens een staaltje ongelofelijk maar waar: de 15 activisten die op 28 maart 2017 verhinderden dat een vliegtuig voor deportatie van vluchtelingen kon opstijgen van de Britse luchthaven Stansted, zijn aangeklaagd voor terrorisme…… De Stansted 15, zoals deze mensenrechtenactivisten sindsdien worden genoemd, zijn mensen uit 3 verschillende vreedzame actiegroepen, t.w.: End Deportations, Plane Stupid en Lesbians and Gays Support the Migrants.
De Stansted 15 hebben geen geweld gebruikt en blijkbaar vindt men een dergelijke geweldloze actie in Groot-Brittannië een daad van terreur……. Waar deze groep zou moeten worden geprezen voor de juiste, niet gewelddadige inzet!

De deportaties vinden plaats zonder enig toezicht van mensenrechtenorganisaties en te vrezen valt dat mensen met grof geweld worden uitgezet, zeker gezien de voorbeelden uit het verleden (overigens ook door onze overheid….). De veiligheidsbeambten die de vluchtelingen vanuit GB begeleiden staan bekend om het gebruik van grof geweld…… Om de publieke opinie niet tegen zich te krijgen zorgt de Britse overheid ervoor dat de deportaties van vluchtelingen altijd midden in de nacht plaatsvinden…….

Niet alleen in Groot-Brittannië, maar overal worden de strafeisen en straffen van dit soort activisme opgeschroefd, echter dit slaat wel alles van wat we hebben meegemaakt, althans in de westerse wereld……… Te vrezen valt dan ook dat na het uitspreken van de straf op 4 februari 2019, men ook elders nog zwaarder zal gaan straffen…….

Het zal toeval zijn, maar het is wel opvallend dat de strafeis tegen de Stansted 15 net na het meer dan lamme overleg in Marrakech over ‘de vluchtelingencrisis’ werd uitgesproken, een overleg wat leidde tot het volkomen overbodige Marrakech pact…… Een pact waar geen rechten aan kunnen worden ontleend, maar waarbij men weer eens publiekelijk de handen in het bloed van duizenden omgekomen vluchtelingen heeft gewassen…….

Daar er in het Marrakech pact een aantal keren werd gesproken over het tegengaan van vluchtelingenstromen, is de kans levensgroot dat regeringen zich achter dit pact zullen verschuilen, als zij weigeren vluchtelingen op te nemen……..

Nergens in het Marrakech pact wordt gesproken over het tegengaan van vluchtelingenstromen, door westerse landen te veroordelen die illegaal oorlog voeren tegen landen in het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika, oorlogen geleid door de VS met hulp van haar NAVO partners, waar de VS in feite het opperbevel heeft over diezelfde NAVO……..
Intussen stuurt men mensen terug die grote kans lopen vermoord te worden, zoals een lesbische vrouw, wiens man al heeft gezegd haar te zullen opwachten na deportatie, hoogstwaarschijnlijk om haar te vermoorden……… Om nog maar te zwijgen over de vluchtelingen die teruggestuurd worden naar Afghanistan en Irak, omdat Buitenlandse Zaken met rammelende rapporten (ambtsberichten) komt die stellen dat men veilig is in die landen…….
De verantwoordelijken voor illegale oorlogen die vluchtelingenstromen op gang brachten en brengen, die bovendien het gore lef hebben vluchtelingen te weigeren, zouden terecht moeten staan wegens ernstige mensenrechtenschendingen en het moedwillig in levensgevaar brengen van mensen…….. Verantwoordelijken van landen die in feite direct schuldig zijn aan de dood van de vele duizenden die in de Middellandse Zee en de Egeïsche Zee zijn verdronken! Zoals je al had begrepen zijn de verantwoordelijken voor de enorme vluchtelingenstromen de VS en andere NAVO-lidstaten (inclusief Turkije), met hulp van Saoedi-Arabië, de Golfstaten, Egypte en Marokko.

De hoogste tijd dat het Internationaal Strafhof wordt uitgebreid en zich meer gaat roeren in de media met beschuldigingen aan het adres van bijvoorbeeld de VS en de andere NAVO-lidstaten!

Hoe is het mogelijk dat mensen die zich inzetten voor mensenrechten en die de dood van vluchtelingen willen voorkomen, worden aangeklaagd door het Britse openbaar ministerie, een ministerie dat tegelijkertijd geen actie onderneemt tegen het elders illegaal oorlogvoeren (één van de ergste vormen van terreur!) door haar eigen overheid, waardoor alleen deze eeuw al 2,5 miljoen mensen zijn vermoord…….

ACTIVISTS WHO STOPPED DEPORTATION FLIGHT CONVICTED OF TERRORISM CHARGE, FACE LIFE IN PRISON

United Kingdom (NM) – A group of 15 activists who prevented a deportation charter flight from leaving Stansted airport by locking themselves together around the aeroplane have been found guilty of a terrorist offence.
The so-called Stansted 15 spent nine weeks on trial charged with an offence that has never been used before in response to a non-violent direct action and carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
They were convicted by a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday 10 December and will be sentenced on 4 February 2019.
Ben Smoke, who was arrested after being cut away from the front wheel of the aeroplane, said the guilty verdict would have “huge ramifications on the ability of people to engage in what is a very long tradition of direct action in this country”.
The 27-year-old told Novara Media:

“I’m obviously terrified for myself, terrified for what the future holds, but more than that I’m terrified about how we carry on fighting a government that just won’t listen, how we carry on fighting a government that has been proven to be so disgusting and despicable every way you turn.

“You look at the UN report that came out recently that said that austerity is a choice, they have made a choice to kill 120,000 people, if we’re in a situation where we can’t fight that how do we go on? How do we carry on? How do we change our society?”

The activists, from campaign group End Deportations, were originally charged with criminal damage and aggravated trespass after the action on 28 March 2017, offences too small to warrant trial by jury and carrying a maximum of just three months in prison. The prosecution later sought special permission to add an additional charge of “endangering safety at an aerodrome”, a terrorism offence created in response to the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, in which 270 people died.
They stood accused of putting the safety of the airport and passengers at risk and causing serious disruption to international air travel for taking part in the non-violent direct action, in a move Amnesty International described as “using a sledgehammer to crack a nut”. The human rights organisation, which observed the trial for its duration, was concerned that the severe and unprecedented charge may have been brought in order to discourage other activists from taking non-violent direct action in defence of human rights.
Labour’s Shadow Attorney General Shami Chakrabarti condemned the verdict on Monday, pointing out that it coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“What a sad International Human Rights day, when non-violent protestors are prosecuted for defending the Refugee Convention, and are treated like terrorists,” she said . “Labour in Government will review the statute book to better guarantee the right to peaceful dissent.”

Smoke said he believed the verdict could violate “the contract of our democracy” by obstructing channels that should be available for everyone to demand change.
He referenced the harsh sentences given to the suffragettes when they used direct action to challenge laws preventing women from voting in the early 20th century and said he feared the outcome of the Stansted 15 trial would have the same deterrent effect. “These people are people who were denigrated at the time and now are being heralded as heroes,” he said. “I’m not for a second trying to put us in that category but what they then experienced… imprisonment and being force fed, really, really meant that it became a harder thing to do to take a direct action to try and change the society you live in and to try and make society better… that’s what I’m terrified of seeing coming out of this action.”
Wearing pink bobble hats, hi-vis vests and jumpers emblazoned with the words “mass deportations kill, no one is illegal”, the coalition of activists from End Deportations, Plane Stupid and Lesbians and Gays Support the Migrants, chained themselves to a plane set to deport 60 people to West Africa on 28 March 2017 and stopped it from taking off.

In protesting against the injustices of the UK border and immigration system, the group focused their efforts specifically on the issue of mass deportation charter flights on account of the flights being the hardest form of deportation to individually resist. End Deportations campaigners argue that the flights were introduced by the government for that very reason.
Activist Helen Brewer explained that the group spent months considering the best and safest way to blockade the flight. “After coaches arrive from detention centres they go into a private car park,” she said, “then you have the crew coming down from their hangar to ready the plane. So [we knew we had to act] before the coaches drive from the car park to the plane to board people… So that’s what we did.”
Strategically, Brewer said, it made sense to target the aeroplane itself because people may be taken from all over the country to be deported on a charter flight, “but there’s only one plane”.
Deportations used to take place on regular commercial flights. But when passengers and pilots started to object on moral and political grounds, the Home Office changed tack and begun chartering deportee-only planes.
Shrouded in secrecy, these planes leave from undisclosed locations in the middle of the night. By doing this, they are more insulated from public opinion and the kind of reputational pressures that caused Virgin Airlines to announce it would no longer assist the Home Office with forced deportations.
Notorious for their violence, the only people on the flights are deportees and security guards. With no independent monitoring or documentation of what takes place on the way to the airport, during the flight or after landing, deaths in transitare not unknown.
At the heart of the group’s decision to take action was the desire to protect vulnerable people from the myriad violences of the UK border regime.
In her closing statement, Mel Evans, one of the defendants who represented herself throughout the trial, said about the action:

“This was never about politics. It was always about people. We wanted people to be safe… And now some of them are safe, and they’re able to be with their families and be with the people they love. And that’s all we were trying to do.”

One manifestation of this violence is in the way the flights themselves are enacted. Chains and restraints are commonly used to subdue passengers, sometimes even fatally. In 2010, 46-year-old Jimmy Mubenga died of suffocation after being pinned down in his seat by G4S security guards, despite already being handcuffed from behind with his seatbelt on.
Beyond the immediate danger of being on the plane, there is also the issue of the potential further violence awaiting passengers when they arrive in the country they are being deported to. Addressing the jury, Evans read the testimony of one of the passengers on the flight:

“[There] was a lesbian woman who was terrified of what would happen if she saw her ex-husband: ‘[He] said he knows I am being deported next week. He is waiting for me. He is planning to kill me. I don’t want to go on that plane. I can’t go. I am begging.’”

But this is far from an isolated incident. According to Brewer, “a deportation happened on Tuesday to Nigeria and Ghana. This was one flight we stopped out of thousands.” Using this logic, each of these individual acts of violence is connected – part of what Luke de Noronha, a spokesperson for the End Deportations campaign, described as “the architecture of racialised border violence”.

‘WITHOUT THEIR ACTIONS I WOULD HAVE MISSED MY DAUGHTER’S BIRTH’

Out of the 60 people set to be deported on the flight, 11 are still in the UK as a result of the action. Two out of those 11 now have indefinite leave to remain and four have been referred to the National Referral Unit For Human Trafficking. Five are still waiting for their appeals to be heard.
Kevin*, one of the passengers on the flight, was set to be deported to Ghana where he lived up until his late teens. He has since been granted leave to remain.
As a young child, Kevin was left in the care of his abusive father after his mother moved to England, but once he had finished school in the mid 2000s, he was finally able to join her in London.
In the UK he successfully applied for indefinite leave to remain. However, this was revoked after he received a criminal conviction. As a result of the loss of his immigration status, he faced deportation and with it, the prospect of being forced to leave behind his elderly mother, pregnant partner and children.
For Kevin, the impact of the action was life-changing. He said:

“For me a crime is doing something that is evil, shameful or just wrong – and it’s clear that it is the actions of the Home Office that tick all of these boxes. The Stansted 15 were trying to stop the real crime being committed.

“Without their actions I would have missed my daughter’s birth, and faced the utter injustice of being deported from this country without having my [now successful] appeal heard.

“My message to them today is to fight on. Your cause is just and history will absolve you of the guilt that the system has marked you with.”

Indeed, current government policy is widely known as ‘deport first, appeal later’. An asylum decision-maker for the Home Office recently described the process as a “lottery” in which “pushy managers [tried to drive] results through fear and intimidation.”

‘EVERYDAY IS A FIGHT IN THE COURTROOM’

The nine week trial began on 1 October 2018 at Chelmsford Crown Court in Essex, during which seven of the 15 gave evidence. Despite allowing the defendants to give their political reasons for the action during the trial, Judge Christopher Morgan ruled that they could not rely on the defence that they acted to stop human rights abuses. However, one of the lawyers for the defence, Mr Wainwright, described them as having “a real and genuine concern for the sanctity of human life”.
Throughout the trial, the prosecution repeatedly deployed anti-immigration rhetoric in discussing the case. A “fence” became “a protective membrane” – there to stop unknown foreign bodies from passing through. While, in his closing speech, lawyer for the prosecution Tony Badenoch QC repeatedly referred to the activists as a “swarm” – a denigrative metaphor routinely deployed by right wing media and politicians in the migration debate.
Listening to the prosecution without being able to defend themselves was a constant source of frustration for the group. Speaking to Novara Media shortly before the trial ended, Brewer said:

“We have to be in court usually from ten until four everyday, in a windowless courtroom, under fluorescent lights, sitting silently in the dock. [We] can’t speak except through [our] barristers and [we] have to listen to someone talk about [us] and…what we did and interrogate that and really smear that and present to the jury something that most of us completely disagree with. It’s hard. And it’s hard when you’re constantly battling; everyday is a fight in the courtroom.”

Following Morgan’s summing up on 4 December, the Guardian has reported that barristers defending the 15 argued the jury should be discharged because the judge’s final words were so severe they amounted to a direction to convict.
The length of the trial, combined with the threat of life in prison, has had a negative impact on the mental and emotional health of the group.
Activist Laura Clayson said she had been prescribed anti-anxiety medication as a result of the stress of the trial. “Given that it’s been nearly 19 months since we took action, 15 since the charge was escalated to endangerment, and we have only just come out the other side of the trial, I haven’t even begun to be able to start processing or unpacking it,” she said. “Living with such uncertainty and precarity makes life incredibly difficult and it has been hard to function normally, to think ahead or plan anything. The trial has always been there, looming over us.”

The 15 activists intend to fight the conviction. In a statement released after the verdict was announced the group said:

“We are guilty of nothing more than intervening to prevent harm. The real crime is the government’s cowardly, inhumane and barely legal deportation flights and the unprecedented use of terror law to crack down on peaceful protest. We must challenge this shocking use of draconian legislation, and continue to demand an immediate end to these secretive deportation charter flights and a full independent public inquiry into the government’s ‘hostile environment’.”

“Justice will not be done until we are exonerated and the Home Office is held to account for the danger it puts people in every single day. It endangers people in dawn raids on their homes, at detention centres and on these brutal flights. The system is out of control. It is unfair, unjust and unlawful and it must be stopped.”

The guilty verdict marks a huge blow to the landscape of UK activism at a time when there has been a concerted effort to clamp down on the right to protest. From today’s guilty verdict, which itself was only made possible by the use of an unprecedented terrorism charge, to the jailing of the so-called Frack Free Fourearlier in the year, the future of non-violent direct action in the UK is far from certain.
Kate Allen, Amnesty International UK’s Director said:

“It’s deeply disturbing that peaceful protesters who caused disruption but at no time caused harm to anyone, should now be facing a possible lengthy prison sentence. This whole case will send a shiver down the spine of anyone who cares about the right to protest in our country. Around the world, human rights defenders are coming under increasing attack. The UK should not be bringing such severe charges against those who seek to peacefully stand up for human rights.”

Meanwhile, the End Deportations campaign will continue its fight to abolish deportations and detention centres and end the violence of the UK border regime.
In November, women in Yarl’s Wood detention centre again went on hunger strike to protest against their indefinite detention, describing the experience of living in Britain’s only female detention centre as a form of “hell”. It is clear that activists like the Stansted 15 are vital in resisting the UK border regime alongside those who feel the full force of its violence.

Gisternacht werd bekend gemaakt dat Canada op 1 december de topvrouw van o.a. smartphone fabrikant Huawei, Meng Wanzhou (ook de dochter van de Huawei oprichter) heeft gearresteerd op verzoek van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS…….
Huawei zou de sancties van de VS tegen Iran hebben overtreden……..
Wat is dit voor kul, alsof de VS een verantwoordelijk wereldheerser is en niet een psychopathische massamoordenaar?!! Als de VS het bedrijven moeilijk maakt om zaken te doen in de VS, wanneer ze de door haar opgelegde sancties overtreden, is dat al te zot voor woorden, maar dit slaat werkelijk alles!!

De VS heeft volkomen onterecht het nucleaire verdrag met Iran, de P5+1 nucleaire deal, ofwel het Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) opgezegd. Ondanks dat de andere partijen in die deal het niet eens zijn met de Trump administratie, denkt de VS haar terreurwetgeving internationaal op te kunnen leggen……. In plaats van te demonstreren tegen de arrestatie van Huawei, deden de politici van andere landen die de deal sloten, er het zwijgen toe, om na korte tijd mee te gaan blèren in het valse VS koor dat Huawei niet alleen sancties overtrad, maar ook spioneert voor de Chinese overheid…… Men wilde in de rest van de westerse politiek geen commentaar geven op de arrestatie, daar dit behoorlijk vreemd zou zijn, gezien het eerder genoemde verdrag, vandaar ook dat men blij was met het lamme spionageverhaal waarmee men China kan bestoken……..
Zoals te verwachten was steunen ook de reguliere westerse (massa-) media de VS bij de arrestatie van Wanzhou, waar ze meteen even de nieuwste demonisering van China meenemen: het zojuist al aangehaalde spionageverhaal over o.a. de toestellen van Huawei, waarmee de Chinese overheid het westen zou kunnen bespioneren…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Zo de waard is vertrouwt deze de gasten! Immers als er nu één land is dat alles en iedereen bespioneert is het de VS wel, zelfs de smartphone van Merkel, die het met de VS bevriende Duitsland politiek leidt, was niet veilig voor deze vereniging van terreurstaten…… Kortom deze media brengen ‘onvervalste’ anti-Chinese propaganda……

Zie verder de ambassades van de VS over de wereld, de grootste spionage bolwerken, zelfs die in ons Den Haag! Voorts bespioneert de VS grote bedrijven in het buitenland, om zo voordelen ten behoeve van grote VS bedrijven te vinden…… Als de Chinezen belangrijke politici of leiders van grote bedrijven willen bespioneren, doen ze dat echt niet via de telefoons van Huawei, ze hacken dan simpelweg de telefoon of (andere) computer van die personen, of die nu van Huawei, Samsung, Apple* of welk merk dan ook zijn…….. Wat een kul!

Het is duidelijk dat de VS met deze arrestatie, waarvan Trudeau en Trump keihard logen dat ze daarvan niet vooraf op de hoogte waren, grote Chinese bedrijven wil treffen en de truc schijnt gelukt te zijn als je de volkomen ten onrechte gezaaide haat en angst tegen/voor Chinese smartphone fabrikanten in alleen al de Nederlandse reguliere media ziet………

Hoe is het in godsnaam mogelijk dat de reguliere media zo keihard durven te liegen en onrust durven te zaaien, terwijl de valsheid van de claims er dik bovenop liggen, waarschijnlijk schat men het grootste deel van haar gebruikers in als niet nadenkende imbecielen, die men werkelijk alles kan voorkauwen en kan hersenspoelen met smerige sprookjes……. Ach ja, dom van mij, immers de reguliere westerse media zijn er vooral om de huidige inhumane neoliberale status quo te beschermen, bescherming van alles wat fout is, zoals het goedpraten van de illegale oorlogen die de VS her en der voert…… Alles in het belang van de eigenaren van die media, de westerse politiek, het militair-industrieel complex, de oliemaffia, de financiële maffia en de aandeelhouders van grote bedrijven…….
Nogmaals we moeten als de donder af van het internationaal betalingssysteem SWIFT, dat in feite een door de VS gestuurd mechanisme is en waar de dollar als enig internationaal betaalmiddel wordt gezien….. Gelukkig zijn Rusland en China al bezig met een eigen internationaal betalingssysteem.
Vergeleken met de VS is Iran een vredelievende staat, iedereen die het interesseert kan dit controleren, de VS is de werkelijke terreurstaat en richt vooral in het Midden-Oosten de ene massamoord na de andere aan, waarbij het de wereldstabiliteit steeds verder aantast…….
Het is dan ook de hoogste tijd voor sancties tegen de VS, een psychopathische oorlogsvoerder, die alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord……. Kan de wereld meteen alle bases van de VS buiten haar grondgebied sluiten en de militairen naar huis sturen!! (Yankee go home!)

(MEE) — Canada arrested China’s Huawei Technology’s chief financial officer for allegedly violating US sanctions on Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
Meng Wanzhou faces possible extradition to the US, WSJ added. A Canadian justice department spokesperson said she was arrested on 1 December.
A Huawei spokesman said the arrest happened as Meng was transferring flights.
“The company has been provided very little information regarding the charges and is not aware of any wrongdoing by Ms Meng,” he said.
“The company believes the Canadian and US legal systems will ultimately reach a just conclusion.”

Canada has arrested Huawei’s global chief financial officer in Vancouver

Wanzhou Meng is facing extradition to the United States on suspicion she violated U.S. trade sanctions against Iran.

Meng’s bail hearing is set for Friday, according to a Globe and Mail report, citing Canada’s Justice Department spokesman Ian McLeod.
Meng’s arrest follows a strict set of US sanctions on Iranian oil and banking that was implemented in November but allowed a number of countries, including China, temporary waivers.
According to a Wall Street Journal report in April, the US Department of Justice had launched a criminal probe into Huawei for its alleged trade with Iran, and both the Commerce Department and Treasury Department had issued subpoenas for a potential violation of US sanctions.
Huawei is the world’s largest manufacturer of cellular-tower electronics and the third-biggest smart phone producer.
Meng’s arrest happened on the same day that US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping met to discuss a possible truce to their ongoing trade war.
US Senator Ben Sasse, a Republican, said the arrest was made to protect American interests.
“Americans are grateful that our Canadian partners have arrested the chief financial officer of a giant Chinese telecom company for breaking US sanctions against Iran,” he said.
This isn’t the first time that the US has penalised Chinese telecommunication companies for potential sanctions violations.
In 2017, Chinese telecommunications rival ZTE paid the US almost $900m in fines for alleged business deals with Iran.

Brian Hook, is director Policy Planning, een interne denktank van het VS ministerie van buitenlandse zaken en is de belangrijkste adviseur van oorlogsmisdadiger Mike Pompeo. In die hoedanigheid heeft Hook Iran bedreigd met militair geweld als het doorgaat met het verspreiden van wapens aan diverse groepen, waar deze opperploert uiteraard ook Jemen noemde.
In Jemen en Saoedi-Arabië zou ‘rakettechnologie’ van Iran zijn gevonden in de overblijfselen van door Houthi rebellen afgeschoten raketten…… Er is zegge en schrijve één onderdeel in de elektronica gevonden, dat in Iran werd geproduceerd, waar Hook niet over lult zijn de onderdelen uit westerse landen en zelfs uit de VS, die tegelijkertijd werden gevonden…….. Bovendien, als er nu één land is dat de wereld volpropt met wapens is het de VS zelf wel!!
Het is als met de beschuldiging van de VS en Saoedi-Arabië wapens dat Iran wapens zou hebben verscheept naar Jemen, een beschuldiging van 3 jaar geleden, waar nog steeds geen flinter aan bewijs voor werd geleverd…… Wel is bekend dat 2 Iraanse schepen die werden onderschept en werden weggestuurd, humanitaire hulpgoederen vervoerde….. (al ver voor de Nederlandse giro 555 actie voor de aan honger lijdende Jemenitische bevolking…..) Juist die schepen zouden volgens Saoedi-Arabië en de VS (dat meehelpt aan de blokkade op zee) wapens hebben vervoerd, echter bij aankomst in de dichtstbijzijnde Afrikaanse haven werden de humanitaire hulpgoederen aangetroffen, zonder ook maar een pistool in de lading…

Het laatste geeft ten overvloede nog eens aan dat de VS actief meehelpt aan de genocide die de Saoedische terreurcoalitie aanricht in Jemen en alles doet om Iran te demoniseren, terwijl de V zelfs IS heeft geholpen aan wapens…..* Voorts heeft de VS aan de wieg van IS gestaan en begaat het zelf de ene grote oorlogsmisdaad na de andere, waarvan de allergrootste wel de illegale oorlogen zijn, die de VS voert waar het haar maar uitkomt…….
Kortom de VS is nog steeds op zoek naar de stok om de Iraanse hond te slaan en als zo vaak in het verleden, uiteindelijk is die stok niet nodig voor de VS om een land op volkomen valse gronden aan te vallen en grotendeels te vernietigen, maar ja, de VS is dan ook de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde……….**

De meest belachelijke opmerking van Hook in het hieronder weergegeven artikel is wel de opmerking dat de wereld streeft naar vrede in het Midden- Oosten en dat Iran dat frustreert, letterlijk: “As the world strives toward peace and security in the Middle East, we are working to reverse advances made by Iran and its proxies over the last several years,” ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha ha! Wat een smerige oplichter!!

De wereld streeft naar vrede met de VS voorop en doet dit door zoveel mogelijk burgers te vermoorden, zo heeft de VS alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen vermoord: -in: illegale oorlogen, -tijdens door de CIA georganiseerde opstanden en staatsgrepen, -met het standrechtelijk vermoorden van verdachten, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen……. The US will not hesitate to use military force against Iran, a State Department official said Thursday, displaying weaponry he said Tehran sent to different proxies.
The agency’s representative for Iran, Brian Hook, briefed reporters at a military base in Washington regarding Iran’s transfer of arms to proxy groups and the Tehran’s missile development.
He said the US prefers to engage with the country diplomatically, but the military option is on the table.
“We have been very clear with the Iranian regime that we will not hesitate to use military force when our interests are threatened. I think they understand that. I think they understand that very clearly,” Hook said.
“I think right now, while we have the military option on the table, our preference is to use all of the tools that are at our disposal diplomatically,” he added.
The US has taken a much harsher stance on Iran since President Donald Trump took office. Trump pulled Washington out of the Iran nuclear deal and reimposed sanctions on the Tehran earlier this month.
Hook unveiled evidence he said of Iran’s missile proliferation, and highlighted different weapons systems the US says were sent to proxies, with emphasis on Houthis rebels in Yemen.
He displayed an array of weapons picked up in Afghanistan, Yemen, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, claiming they were of Iranian origin.
If Iran is found to have sent weapons systems to these places, it would be in violation of UN resolutions.
“As the world strives toward peace and security in the Middle East, we are working to reverse advances made by Iran and its proxies over the last several years,” Hook said.
Many of the weapons Hook mentioned were obtained by Saudi Arabia, amid growing criticism in Washington of the US support for the Saudi-led coalition’s operations in the Yemeni civil war.

George H.W. Bush overleden: weer wordt een grote oorlogsmisdadiger de hemel in geprezen

Afgelopen vrijdag overleed George H.W. Bush, VS president van 20 november 1989 tot 20 november 1993.

Alsof een groot staatsman was overleden, zo berichtten de landelijke (‘onafhankelijke’) radiozenders van Nederland, Duitsland, België en Groot-Brittannië over de dood van deze ‘zware’ oorlogsmisdadiger, die o.a. verantwoordelijk was voor de in feite illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak in 1991.

Voorts was deze Bush als president verantwoordelijk voor de oorlog tegen Panama, terwijl de leider van dat land Manuel Noriega*, een dictator was die door de VS aan de macht werd geholpen, waar Panama o.a. werd gebruikt door de VS voor terreuraanvallen op Nicaragua, waar Noriega destijds samenwerkte met de CIA……

Onder Bush als vicepresident en president werd de ‘war on drugs’ pas echt uitgerold, ook daarbij vielen enorm veel slachtoffers en werden hele gebieden onbewoonbaar gemaakt, door gif wat men vanuit vliegtuigen over landbouwgrond in o.a. Colombia verspreidde, zodat daar geen cocaplanten konden worden geteeld….. Terwijl de DEA en CIA met enige regelmaat gemeen spel speelden met de misdaadkartels en niet zelden zelf beter werden van de drugsverkoop in de VS…….. (waarmee men dan weer andere smerige spelletjes mee betaalde……)

Uiteraard werd Bush op de aangehaalde radiozenders alleen maar geprezen, niets over de zaken die hiervoor werden aangehaald………

Als vicepresident onder de mislukte cojboj Reagan, was Bush mede verantwoordelijk voor door de VS gepleegde massamoorden, staatsgrepen, illegale oorlogen en oorlogsmisdaden in het algemeen…….. De VS werd door de VN zelfs veroordeeld voor terreur gepleegd in Nicaragua, tijdens het vicepresidentschap van Bush….

Overigens is Bush ook nog even directeur van de CIA geweest, waar hij dan ook al is aan te merken als een groot crimineel en moordenaar voor de illegale acties van die geheime dienst………

Kortom: Bush had in Scheveningen moeten overlijden, tijdens een levenslange gevangenisstraf opgelegd door het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC)!!! Maar nee, de reguliere media ruimden soms zelfs hun hele nieuwsbericht in voor de dood van deze massamoordenaar, de BBC wist zelfs een uur vol te lullen over ‘de geweldige prestaties’ van Bush……

* Noriega werd later tot een 40 jarige gevangenisstraf veroordeeld in de VS, deze werd later omgezet in 30 jaar, in 2010 werd hij uitgeleverd aan Frankrijk, die hem tot 7 jaar gevangenisstraf veroordeelde, in 2017 werd hij vervroegd vrijgelaten voor een hersenoperatie in Panama, aan de gevolgen waarvan hij overleed.

Slachting in Jemen gaat door met volledige steun van de VS………

Het terreurbewind in het Witte Huis heeft expliciet aangekondigd, in tegenstelling tot de VS partners in de EU, dat het de Saoedische terreurcoalitie zal blijven steunen bij de genocide die deze moorddadige coalitie uitvoert in Jemen en dat zelfs met meer steun voor de slachting die deze terreurcoalitie aanricht onder de sjiitische inwoners van Jemen………
Ik koesterde nog enige hoop dat de beslissing van de VS niet langer het vliegend oorlogstuig van de Saoedische coalitie in de lucht af te tanken, het begin zou zijn van de volledige intrekking van haar steun aan de meer dan schunnige en barbaarse genocide die wordt uitgevoerd in Jemen….. Hoewel ik deze stap al hypocriet vond, immers de VS doet ook de coördinatie van de bombardementen op burgerdoelen in Jemen met haar radarvliegtuigen….*
IJdele hoop, zoals nu blijkt, terwijl de helft van het land dreigt om te komen van honger, cholera en difterie, naast overlijdens door redelijk eenvoudig te behandelen ziekten, mits daarvoor, zoals in het geval van cholera en difterie, de juiste medicijnen aanwezig zijn….. Zelfs aan die medicijnen ontbreekt het, daar de fascistische Saoedische terreurcoalitie het land blokkeert (met actieve hulp van de VS op zee), niet alleen voor voedsel, water en brandstof (de elektriciteitscentrales zijn gebombardeerd door deze terreurcoalitie), maar dus ook voor medicijnen en medische apparatuur…..

De Saoedische coalitie had het gore lef om een nieuw ziekenhuis van Artsen zonder Grenzen (MSF) te bombarderen, een ziekenhuis speciaal gericht op de behandeling van cholera……. (geen commentaar uit de mond van westerse politici, noch (of amper) van de reguliere westerse media…..)

 In het BBC World Service radionieuws van 12.00 u. vanmiddag het bericht dat de agressie van de Saoedische terreurcoalitie tegen de havenstad Hodeida, in handen van de Houthi rebellen, de toevoer van humanitaire hulpgoederen met de helft heeft teruggebracht…… (en die toevoer was al veel te klein….)

 De Saoedische coalitie heeft de laatste weken haar terreur geïntensiveerd en naast het bombarderen van havenvoorzieningen in Hodeida (nodig voor de humanitaire hulp) en de laatste boerderijen, die in dit landbouw arme land nog enigszins voedsel produceerden, twee zaken die volkomen ten overvloede nog eens aantonen dat de Saoedisch terreurcoalitie (in feite o.l.v. de VS) bezig is met een genocide in Jemen, een genocide die westerse regeringen na de genocide in Rwanda beloofden niet nog eens te zullen tolereren…….

 De Houthi’s zijn bereid tot overleg en wilden daarom de wapens neerleggen, echter de Saoedische coalitie weigert elke bespreking over vrede, een teken te meer dat deze coalitie de genocide geheel wil volvoeren……
De VS toont meer en meer haar ware fascistische gezicht (overigens al gaande onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama) en heeft er geen moeite meer mee, om als een barbaars, bloeddorstig monster tekeer te gaan over de wereld en als dusdanig bekend te staan…..
Hoewel? Het vorige is enigszins flauwe kul, immers zoals gezegd: de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici blijven achter de VS staan, ondanks dat deze vereniging van terreurstaten deze eeuw al tegen de 2,5 miljoen slachtoffers heeft gemaakt, blijft men de ogen sluiten en helpt de VS zelfs mee met haar grootschalige terreur in de vorm van illegale oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië….. Zelfs de ophef over de situatie in Jemen, die nu langzaam maar zeker ontstaat onder politici in de EU, zorgt er niet voor dat men de VS veroordeelt voor haar grootschalige steun aan die genocide……
Ongelofelijk genoeg vindt men het blijkbaar ook normaal dat de VS op grote schaal mensen standrechtelijk executeert (zonder enig proces) middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen…….. Als Rusland of Syrië hetzelfde zouden doen, waren de rapen al lang gaar geweest in het westen…..
Ik sprak al even over fascisme en in het verlengde daarvan kan je stellen dat de fascisten in de EU al zover de overhand hebben, dat zelfs andere politieke partijen de vluchtelingen die de VS en NAVO-partners met hun ongebreidelde terreur hebben gemaakt, de schuld durven te geven van de vreselijke ellende waarin ze zitten…. Die andere ‘niet fascistische’ politieke partijen, voeren voor het merendeel een neoliberaal beleid (als het kapitalisme het voorgeborchte van het fascisme) en zijn als de dood dat ze kiezers verliezen aan de fascisten en komen zelf met fascistische plannen over wat te doen met de arme drommels die ze mede zelf op de vlucht hebben doen slaan……
Waar is de gerechtigheid nog? Tijd dat men opstaat en de afzonderlijke regeringen op alle mogelijke manieren gaat dwarszitten, ja je zou zelfs kunnen hopen op een gewapende opstand om definitief een eind te maken aan het fascisme en het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberalisme…… Overheden als de Nederlandse zijn daar wel degelijk bang voor, dit blijkt wel uit het feit dat men steeds vaker oefent in stedelijk en landelijk gebied, waar het grootste deel van de bewoners dit nog prachtig vindt, niet begrijpend dat men oefent op het onder de duim houden van hen zelf……

Het CDA wil zelfs een oefenstad ontwerpen voor de NAVO en wie weet zelfs voor straks een EU leger (niet bekend bij het CDA, maar zo’n stad bestaat al in Duitsland…..)…… Het CDA maakt dan ook deel uit van de EVP fractie, die bij wijze van spreken ‘bomvol’ zit met fascisten…….

Terug naar Jemen: het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) moet nu eindelijk eens actie ondernemen tegen de genocide in Jemen, om te beginnen met de erkenning dat er in Jemen inderdaad een genocide wordt uitgevoerd……. Daarbij kan het ICC al metten de agressors aanwijzen: de Saoedische terreurcoalitie, bestaande uit: Saoedi-Arabië, de Golfstaten, Egypte, Marokko, de VS en Groot-Brittannië!! (de laatste levert niet alleen militair materieel, naast wapens en munitie, maar traint ook Saoedische militairen)

(GPA) — Washington has chosen to diverge from its European allies and continue support for the Saudi led-coalition against Yemen. Following a White House statement that reaffirms US commitment, the Saudi coalition has continued with its assault on Hodeidah port and civilians in Yemen.
  • Germany, the United Kingdom, and other European nations have recently put forth effort to stop the war against Yemen.
  • The White House has issued a statement doubling down on its seemingly unconditional support for Saudi Arabia — particularly its assault on Yemen.
  • Saudi Arabia has since continued its attacks on Yemen’s Hodeidah port and civilian areas.
  • Yemenis hold out hope for the European effort and UN envoy’s recent visit to Hodediah port.
Washington Diverges from European Allies, Doubles Down on Support for Gulf Monarchies
On November 20th, the White House issued (yet another) statement blaming Iran for the ongoing bloodshed in Yemen. It’s worth noting that Iran has no troops in Yemen. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia and the UN inspect all aid shipments entering Yemen for weapons and missile parts. There is absolutely no concrete evidence of Iran providing support to Ansarullah (aka. Houthis) in Yemen.
Nevertheless, Washington issued this statement to double down on its support for the Saudi coalition against Yemen. As always, Iran remains a scapegoat for the United States to continue its imperialist war against the only republic on the Arabian Penninsula.
The statement also makes it clear that this is not a moral decision, but rather a financial one. U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledges that “the crime against Jamal Khashoggi was a terrible one, and one that our country does not condone” however, Trump also points out that the American economy relies heavily on Saudi Arabia for stability.

“After my heavily negotiated trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Kingdom agreed to spend and invest $450 billion in the United States. This is a record amount of money. It will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, tremendous economic development, and much additional wealth for the United States,” the statement reads.

Europe Takes Action to Halt Saudi Attacks on Yemen
This statement of support comes at a crucial time as Washington’s European allies seek to end the war in Yemen or at least curtail the current Saudi and Emirati-led offensive against Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
Following the death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, European nations seem to have grown weary of their previously unconditional support for the Saudi monarchy. Although these nations — and even Jamal Khashoggi himself — generally supported the Saudi-led war against Yemen, Germany, the United Kingdom, and others have used Khashoggi’s death as an opportunity to cut off Saudi Arabia.
Germany had recently announced it would stop all future arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Berlin later issued another statement that it would also halt all previously approved arms shipments to the monarchy.
Denmark and Finland have also stopped their military support to Riyadh.
The United Kingdom meanwhile has spearheaded a UN Security Council resolution to stop the Saudi assault on five key Yemeni fronts — including the dire Hodeidah front.
At risk of famine and disease, 22 million Yemenis require urgent humanitarian aid to survive. The ongoing Saudi and Emirati operation against Hodeidah port, Yemen’s last remaining lifeline for aid, could spark a humanitarian disaster not seen in modern times. Over 37,000 Yemeni men, women, and children have already been killed or injured from the Saudi-led war as it approaches its fourth year.
While the United Kingdom publicly puts their best foot forward, it has not stopped supplying the Saudi coalition with weapons. Also, despite its hardline rhetoric following the death of Khashoggi on its soil, Turkey has also not made any mention of halting its arms deals to Riyadh.
France, Canada, and Spain also still supply Saudi Arabia with weapons to carry out its war.

Holding Out Hope for Peace
Meanwhile, Yemeni factions plan to attend talks in Sweden at the end of November. These talks should include the Saudi-backed pupped government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and Ansarullah. At this point, it doesn’t appear that the Emirati-backed Southern Movement — which holds considerable power throughout the southern provinces — will attend the talks.
Talks fell short in September at the United Nations Human Rights Council when the Saudi coalition effectively blocked the Ansarullah delegation from attending by refusing to grant safe and timely passage to Ansarullah’s Omani flight.
This effort to keep Ansarullah out of peace negotiations shows that Saudi Arabia is aware of the revolutionary group’s political power and public support yet cannot admit defeat in any form.
Saudi Arabia began their airstrike campaign against Yemen in 2015 and later full blockade to suppress Yemen’s anti-imperialist revolutionary movement, Ansarullah, and impose the Saudi puppet government led by Hadi on the people.

 However, Riyadh’s goals have completely backfired.
Not only does Ansarullah enjoy widespread public support thanks to their elimination of al-Qaeda and terrorist elements, but the movement has developed advanced military technology.
Ansarullah has spent the past three and a half years developing long-range, mid-range, and short-range ballistic missiles, strengthening their special forces, creating reconnaissance and attack drones, and beefing their naval abilities including marine missiles.

Ongoing Attacks on Hodeidah
The UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, visited Ansarullah leaders in the capital Sana’a this week before heading to Hodeidah. Griffiths stressed the need for the UN to take control of the port to ensure the flow of aid to vulnerable civilians. In the past, Saudi Arabia has bombed cranes used for unloading aid, rendering the port unusable.
However, Ansarullah is not in favor of this solution unless Saudi Arabia agrees to halt its attacks on Hodeidah. UN control over the port could easily turn into Saudi occupation of the port under the right conditions.
Last week, Ansarullah agreed to halt its defensive missile attacks and ground operations provided the Saudi coalition ended its offensive airstrikes and ground attacks. The Saudi coalition did not hold up their end of the bargain and ground fighting ensued.
Despite the UN envoy’s presence, the Saudi coalition continued their attacks on civilians in Yemen.
On Thursday, coalition warplanes targeted a house in Hodeidah’s Kilo 16 area killing at least three civilians. Coalition attacks also destroyed civilian homes and farms in Saada province on Thursday. On Friday, the Saudi coalition launched at least 15 airstrikes across various areas of Saada province destroying more fams and homes.
On Saturday, a spokesman from the Ministry of Defense announced that the Saudi coalition had launched 47 raids on various provinces over the past 24 hours. He pointed out that the forces of aggression clearly have no desire to achieve peace.

Khashoggi: VS prijs voor uit de wind houden van Saoedische terreurkroonprins MBS >> 450 miljard dollar

Voor het door de VS geen actie ondernemen op de moord die de Saoedische terreurstaat liet plegen op journalist Khashoggi, in opdracht van kroonprins Mohammad bin Salman (MBS), moet Saoedi-Arabië snel een eerder met het fascistische beest Trump overeengekomen contract tekenen, een contract voor het achterlijk hoge bedrag van $ 450,000,000,000 ofwel 450 miljard dollar…….

Trump weet dat een groot deel van de EU sancties wenst tegen Saoedi-Arabië, maar dat dit niet zal gebeuren als de VS dit niet ook doet……. Trump stelt doodleuk dat de belangen van de VS groter zijn dan de misdaden die deze reli-fascistische dictatuur pleegt……. Hij stelde het zo hard dat de echo werd gevoeld in Duitsland en men zich achter de oren begon te krabben over eerder gedane uitspraken…..

 Zo kondigde Duitsland in eerste instantie aan dat het net getekende contract voor wapenleveringen aan Saoedi-Arabië te verscheuren, echter daar werd na de uitlatingen van Trump bijzonder snel een ‘koelkast-contract’ van gemaakt, m.a.w.: als de storm over Khashoggi gaat liggen zal Duitsland alsnog gaan leveren…… (dat dezelfde dictatuur een genocide uitvoert in Jemen is al een paar jaar lang geen probleem voor de hypocriete Duitse Merkel regering; wat dat betreft kan je nog ‘enig begrip’ hebben voor de openlijke uitspraken van het beest Trump….)

Groot-Brittannië heeft als de VS al helemaal lak aan zware mensenrechtenschendingen, misdaden tegen de menselijkheid en uiteraard aan de zojuist genoemde door Saoedi-Arabië in gang gezette genocide in buurland Jemen……….

Trump’s Price Tag for Saving Mohammed bin Salman: $450,000,000,000

(MEE) — US President Donald Trump’s latest statement on Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder is an extraordinary example of political sincerity – although backed by a completely wrong analysis.
Trump departed from the usual empty and generic rhetoric made by former American presidents about Saudi Arabia. He made it very clear that the US will condone what Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman did, i.e ordering the killing of Khashoggi, because the kingdom is containing Iran, purchasing American weapons and is helping to control oil prices in line with American interests.
In other words, when American values, such as defending human rights and the rule of law, collide with American interests, Trump will opt for the latter. In fact, Trump statement confirms indirectly Middle East Eye’s report on the US intention to offer a way out to the Saudi crown prince from the Khashoggi quagmire.

 A dangerous place

The first sentence of the statement: “The world is a very dangerous place!” is probably the only one that reflects a correct reading of the current international situation. Of course, the president of the United States skips, or does not care about, the fact that his country carries a significant degree of responsibility for this situation.

Trump’s Utter Denial About Saudi Arabia and Its Crown Prince

The President has ignored U.S. intelligence findings and given Saudi Arabia a pass on the grisly murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The support provided – so far – to Saudi Arabia’s war on Yemen, the bias shown on the Israeli-Palestinian question, the never-ending war in Afghanistan and before that the US’s toxic legacy in Iraq, are just a few examples.
The reasons provided to explain why the world is dangerous follow the usual American position, reductive and oversimplified to say the least: all roads lead to Tehran.
The reference to the Yemen conflict is quite puzzling, as well as the proposed solution: “Saudi Arabia would gladly withdraw from Yemen if the Iranians would agree to leave.” Even more puzzling is the president’s vision about the responsibilities for terrorism.
He considers Iran “the world’s leading sponsor of terror” and then he makes a reference to Saudi kingdom’s efforts in this field: “Saudi Arabia has agreed to spend billions of dollars in leading the fight against Radical Islamic Terrorism.” Unfortunately, the historical and circumstantial evidence, as far as Saudi Arabia is concerned, point in just the opposite direction.
$450bn price tag
Apart from the flawed analysis, Trump’s statement is an extraordinary demonstration of realpolitik. Because the world is a very dangerous place, the United States will continue to support Saudi Arabia, no matter what. But the real purpose of Trump’s statement on Saudi last night is actually to fix a price for this support.
The hidden message that the statement was sending to the Saudi royal court is that to save himself the Saudi crown prince will be expected to disburse $450bn in investments.

The astronomical sums discussed during Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia last year and Saudi crown prince’s subsequent visit to the US, that so far had remained at the level of a declaration of intent, have to be transformed into binding contracts very soon.
And in case the message coming from Washington was not clear enough for the Saudis, Trump is even perfidious enough to mention possible initiatives by the US Congress going in different directions, hinting at the possibility of examine them: “I will consider whatever ideas are presented to me.”
Translate: hurry up in drafting and signing the contracts!
Saving bin Salman
Trump is aware that the CIA has probably reached different conclusions on the responsibility of MBS in Khashoggi’s murder: “Our intelligence agencies continue to assess all information, but it could very well be that the crown prince had knowledge of this tragic event – maybe he did and maybe he didn’t!”
Certain sectors of the CIA still regret losing the excellent cooperation they had with the former crown prince, Mohammed bin Nayef, and they could complicate Trump’s plan to save the current crown prince.
There is a risk that this affair will also turn into another struggle between the White House and the intelligence agencies as happened with the Russiagate. Trump has questioned the analysis of US intelligence agencies according to which Russian intelligence hacked the Democratic party and voting systems during the US presidential elections in 2016.
To make matters worse, on Wednesday, a bipartisan group of senators sent a letter to Trump, triggering an investigation into Khashoggi’s disappearance.
The letter, written by Republican Senators Bob Corker and Lindsey Graham, and Democratic Senators Bob Menendez and Patrick Leahy, called for Trump to investigate Khashoggi’s disappearance under the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (GMHRAA).
The Magnitsky Act allows the president to impose sanctions on a person or country that has engaged in a human rights violation. “It is a delicate situation when we have a longtime ally that we’ve had for decades, but we have a crown prince that I believe ordered the killing of a journalist,” Corker said in an interview.
In other words, saving Mohammed bin Salman will not be an easy undertaking, especially if further leaks from Turkey on Khashoggi’s murder should emerge with the smoking gun trail leading directly to the Saudi crown prince.

 Hence, the Khashoggi saga is likely to go on.

VS vermoordt 40 burgers in de Syrische provincie Deir ez-Zor

Weer heeft de VS burgerdoelen aangevallen in de Oost-Syrische provincie Deir ez-Zor en weer gaat het om de plaats Hajin, waarbij dit keer 40 burgers werden vermoord, veelal vrouwen en kinderen, zo berichtte Press TV afgelopen zaterdag…….. Twee dagen eerder werden 17 mensen van dezelfde familie vermoord bij een aanval van de VS coalitie…… Deze terreurcoalitie is volkomen illegaal in Syrië aanwezig, waarnaast deze aanvallen ook nog eens ernstige oorlogsmisdaden zijn, de bombardementen door de VS coalitie (NAVO leden….) kunnen niet anders worden gezien dan grootschalige terreur…….
Eerder vermoordde de VS terreurcoalitie al 6 burgers in dezelfde provincie en op 13 november j.l. maakte het Syrische ministerie van buitenlandse zaken bekend dat dezelfde VS terreurcoalitie 60 burgers heeft vermoord in de stad al-Shafaah…….
Het Syrische ministerie van buitenlandse zaken stelt voorts dat de VS coalitie met opzet Syrische burgers vermoord en daarbij ook nog eens het verboden chemische wapen witte fosfor gebruikt….. (de VS coalitie, bestaande uit de VS en andere NAVO leden, maakt zoals vanaf het begin van de VS bemoeienis, amper slachtoffers onder terreurgroep IS….) Het ministerie verlangt een internationaal onderzoek naar de oorlogsmisdaden van de VS coalitie en stelt daarbij dat alle resoluties van de VN-Veiligheidsraad t.a.v. Syrië op grote schaal worden geschonden, o.a. door:
  • het eerder genoemde vermoorden van Syrische burgers
  • het onnodig verlengen van de strijd in Syrië
  • het vernietigen van de Syrische infrastructuur, inclusief grote delen van steden en dorpen
  • het ondermijnen van de nationale integriteit en de soevereiniteit van Syrië……..
De westerse wereld staat op de kop staat als het reguliere Syrische leger burgerslachtoffers maakt en dat n.a.v. berichten die de ‘gematigde terreurgroepen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) laten verspreiden door o.a. het Syrisch Observatorium voor Mensenrechten (SOHR)…… Berichten die voor het overgrote deel niet kunnen worden gecontroleerd en bij controle ‘iets te vaak’ op leugens blijken te berusten…….. Terwijl diezelfde westerse wereld continu wegkijkt als de VS terreurcoalitie de ene slachting na de andere aanricht onder Syrische burgers…… (nogmaals: bestaande uit NAVO lidstaten o.l.v. de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde)

Dozens of civilians, mostly women and children, have been killed when the US-led coalition purportedly fighting the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group conducted fresh airstrikes against residential areas in Syria’s eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr.

Local sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Syria’s official news agency SANA that US-led military aircraft struck the village of al-Buqa’an on the outskirts of Hajin town on Saturday, leaving at least 40 people dead.
The development came only two days after 17 people of the same family lost their lives when US-led coalition fighter jets fired missiles into buildings in Albu Badran village.
Most of the slain civilians had apparently been displaced earlier from the nearby town of al-Baghuz in the Abu Kamal district of Dayr al-Zawr province. The town has recently witnessed fierce clashes between Daesh terrorists and militants from the Kurdish Democratic Union Party.

Separately on Thursday, US-led warplanes struck al-Susah village in the same Syrian province. Six civilians were killed and several buildings destroyed in the aerial attacks.
On November 13, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned a recent airstrike by the US-led coalition against the eastern town of al-Shaafah, which left more than 60 people dead and injured, arguing that the massacre clearly pointed to the fact that members of the military alliance had no respect for moral values, international rules and regulations besides the lives of innocent civilians.
The ministry, in two separate letters, addressed to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the rotating president of the UN Security Council Ma Zhaoxu, called on the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and stop US-led aerial assaults.

It also asked the world body to propose an international, independent and impartial mechanism to investigate the crimes being perpetrated by the US-led coalition.
The letters noted that the coalition was deliberately targeting Syria civilians and making use of internationally banned weapons, including white phosphorus bombs, in Syria.
The ministry stressed that US-led coalition airstrikes were meant to kill as many Syrian people as possible, prolong the ongoing Syrian conflict, destroy the country’s infrastructure and undermine its sovereignty and territorial integrity in flagrant violation of all UN Security Council resolutions on Syria.
The letters concluded that the embarrassing silence of the Security Council had encouraged the US-led coalition to kill more Syrian civilians and destroy their property.

The US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against what are said to be Daesh targets inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a UN mandate.

The military alliance has repeatedly been accused of targeting and killing civilians. It has also been largely incapable of achieving its declared goal of destroying Daesh.
