De ‘liefde’ van de Trump administratie voor Israël, een fascistische apartheidsstaat en de moord op alweer een Iraanse atoomgeleerde

De
geschenken die de Trump administratie de laatste weken aan Israel
heeft gegeven, hebben niets te maken met hoe de buitenlandpolitiek
van de VS zou moeten zijn: deze zou de nationale en internationale
belangen van de VS moeten reflecteren, aldus Philip Giraldi die
hierover een artikel schreef dat werd gepubliceerd op The Unz
Review en dat ik overnam van Information Clearing House.

Giraldi
vervolgt met te zeggen dat het tegendeel waar is, het
buitenlandbeleid van de Trump administratie t.a.v. Israël en de rest
van de wereld geeft aan dat de VS een schurkenstaat is (rogue
nation), die wordt geleid door iemand die duidelijk geestelijk ziek
is en die door Israël bij de hand wordt genomen……. Trump die aanzienlijke
schade heeft veroorzaakt aan het vermogen van de VS om de wereld te
leiden op belangrijke onderwerpen als de verspreiding van nucleaire
wapens en de klimaatverandering, aldus Giraldi……..

Hier
moet ik opmerken dat dit bepaald niet alleen aan Trump is te danken,
het maakt dan ook niet uit wie in het Witte Huis zit, of het nu
Republikeinen dan wel Democraten zijn, Israël blijft gezien worden
als een land dat de volledige steun van de VS krijgt, wat dit land
ook flikt tegen Palestijnen, of het nu de Great Return March is dan
wel de zoveelste Intifada, waarbij Israël ongewapende burgers op
grote schaal vermoordt, geen kritiek uit de VS, sterker nog: als
iemand het in z’n hoofd haalt om dit te bespreken in de VN
Veiligheidsraad, spreekt de VS daar haar veto over uit……… 

Wat betreft het klimaat moet niet vergeten worden dat ook Obama oliemaatschappijen toestond om bijvoorbeeld gevaarlijke diepzeeboringen te verrichten in het Arctisch gebied, pas tegen het eind van zijn tweede termijn heeft hij daar een streep door gezet, het is dat de olieprijs daar te laag voor was en is, anders had men daar al lang booreilanden of -schepen gehad…….

Aangaande de nucleaire proliferatie hoeven we ook helemaal niets te
verwachten van de VS behalve dan als het gaat om Iran of Noord-Korea,
terwijl de VS ervoor heeft gezorgd dat Israël en Pakistan kernwapens
hebben…… Nu zou de VS de reli-fascistische terreurstaat
Saoedi-Arabië helpen bij het ontwikkelen van een kernwapen, een
staat die een groot aantal terreurorganisaties steunt, zowel
financieel als met wapens en zelf een genocide uitvoert in buurland Jemen, waarbij intussen al meer dan 500.000 mensen bij om zijn gekomen (waaronder 100.000 kinderen….)….

Kortom
dat Trump een duidelijke psychopaat is en mede daardoor als
krankzinnig kan worden gezien, zegt niets over het buitenlandbeleid
van de VS, voorlopig is Trump in de bijna 4 jaar dat hij aan de macht
is, geen oorlog begonnen. Vergelijk dat eens met zijn voorganger,
Nobelprijs voor de Vrede winnaar Obama, die er minstens 2 startte,
die in Libië en Syrië en verantwoordelijk is voor minstens 2 andere
oorlogen, zoals die tegen de burgers in Oost-Oekraïne…… (wat
niet wegneemt dat ook Trump, als Obama een oorlogsmisdadiger is, die
terecht zou moeten staan voor het Internationaal Strafhof [ICC]) 

Het zal onder Biden wat e.e.a. betreft alleen maar slechter worden daar Biden de Trump administraite meermaals slapheid heeft verweten in het optreden tegen landen als Venezuela en Iran….. (in Venezuela zijn door VS sancties al meer dan 50.000 mensen omgekomen en het is wel zeker dat ook de waanzinnige sancties tegen Iran al een enorm aantal slachtoffers heeft geëist, als je dat ‘slap’ noemt, kan dit alleen maar betekenen dat Biden oorlog met deze landen niet uit de weg zal gaan…..)

Pompeo,
de minister van buitenlandse zaken van de VS, heeft extra sancties
ingesteld tegen Iran waarbij hij ook opschepte over de al bestaande
sancties tegen dat land, sancties die de economie slopen en de
nationale munt doet devalueren…. Trump haalde voorts aan dat Iran
eerder 2,5 miljoen vaten olie exporteerde, terwijl ze nu moeite
hebben om zelfs maar een kwart van dat aantal te exporteren (en
de olieprijs ongelofelijk is gekelderd)…..

Pompeo
was onlangs in Israël, waar hij o.a. een illegale nederzetting op de
West Bank bezocht en waar hij op een andere plek op die West Bank
blij verrast was dat men een wijn naar hem had vernoemd, wijn van druiven die worden geteeld op gestolen land van de Palestijnen, land dat volgens Giraldi in handen zou zijn van rijke Joden in Californië….. Daarmee gaf Pompeo aan dat de
VS geen probleem meer heeft met de illegale nederzettingen op de West
Bank (waar intussen 700.000 Joden wonen…), sterker nog: dat deze
nederzettingen geen obstakel zijn voor ‘vredesonderhandelingen’ met
de Palestijnen. Er is in feite geen sprake van onderhandelingen,
immers Israël legt de Palestijnen op wat men wel en niet mag doen,
uiteraard alles in het nadeel van de Palestijnen, waar de corrupte
leider van de Palestijnse Autoriteit (PA), Mahmoud Abbas ook bekend als
Abu Mazen, zich schikt naar de wensen van Israël en zelfs zijn
‘politie’ laat samenwerken met de bezettingsmacht van Israël
(onlangs zijn die banden weer hersteld door Abbas…)

De Trump
administratie is wel verder gegaan in dit soort smerige streken dan
eerdere administraties, neem de verplaatsing van de VS ambassade naar
Jeruzalem en het erkennen ‘dat Jeruzalem de hoofdstad is van
Israël……’

Niet
vreemd dus dat Pompeo met zijn ‘realiteitspolitiek’ heeft gesteld dat
producten van de illegale nederzettingen in het vervolg in de VS het
predicaat krijgen dat ze in Israël zijn geproduceerd….. Daarmee
heeft Pompeo in feite gesteld dat de VS de door Israël bezette
gebieden als Israëlische grondgebied ziet….. Weet je nog dat
Netanyahu al voor de zomer voorstelde om de West Bank in haar geheel
te annexeren? Welnu ondanks dat Netanyahu dit niet heeft doorgezet,
heeft Pompeo hem een carte blanche gegeven om dit alsnog te
doen……

De
liefde voor Israël gaat zover dat Trump de geweldloze actiegroep
global
discriminatory boycott, divestment, and sanctions campagne (Global
BDS Campaign), aangeduid als BDS, een kanker noemde (een duidelijk
fascistische aanduiding) en als antisemitisch neerzette…. Intussen
heeft de VS aangegeven van zins te zijn BDS op de lijst van
terreurorganisaties te zetten, waarbij wordt opgemerkt dat elke groep
die een boycot van Israëlische producten bepleit, te maken zal
krijgen met represailles…. In Frankrijk is het al zo zot dat elke
oproep tot een boycot van Israëlische producten is verboden……

Lees
het artikel van Giraldi die veel dieper op deze zaken ingaat (ook al
is hij een paar zaken vergeten), waarbij hij ook de inzet noemt van
de VS om verdragen te sluiten tussen arabische staten en Israël en
zegt het voort!! Het is de hoogste tijd dat de wereld inziet dat met
het ontzien van Israël, dat zich schuldig maakt aan grootschalige
terreur, er geen vrede zal zijn in het Midden-Oosten, immers elke
aanval van Israël tegen bijvoorbeeld Syrië wordt gedekt en
verdedigt door de VS….. 

Het artikel van Giraldi is van voor de aanslag op Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, een
Iraanse atoomgeleerde, die vrijwel zeker door de Mossad (geheime
dienst van Israël) werd uitgevoerd, dit nadat de VS eerder dit jaar de
Iraanse generaal Qassem Soleimani heeft vermoord op een
vliegveld van Bagdad……. Het is dan ook een schande dat Nederland
weer troepen stuurt naar Irak, terwijl de regering en het overgrote
deel van het volk van Irak, de VS en alle andere buitenlandse troepen
het land uit wil hebben….. Het is duidelijk dat de VS aanwezig
blijft in Irak en Syrië t.b.v. Israël en de strijd tegen Iran, ook
al heeft Iran nooit de VS of Israël aangevallen, terwijl Iran raketten heeft die met gemak elke stad in Israel deels plat kunnen leggen……….. 

Ook nu weer hoor je op de nationale radiozenders van Nederland, Duitsland, België en Groot-Brittannië zeggen dat Israël wil voorkomen dat het met een kernwapen zal worden aangevallen door Israël, dit ter verdediging van deze laffe moordaanslag, terwijl Iran zelfs nooit een aanval heeft uitgevoerd op Israel met een ‘gewone raket…..’ Dat laatste melden die radiostations natuurlijk niet, nee in feite stelt men zich met de berichtgeving achter Israël, terwijl dat nu juist een land is dat bija ongestoord Irak, Syrie en Iran heeft aangevallen en blijft aanvallen (onder dekking van de VS), het laatste land ook nog eens door enregiecentrales aan te vallen……

Overigens moet niet uitgesloten worden dat de CIA de aanslag op Fakhrizadeh heeft gepleegd, dit daar de CIA al jaren werkzaam is in Iran, zoals deze terreurorganisatie vorig jaar heeft toegegeven (wat iedereen had kunnen weten die een beetje onderzoek heeft gedaan) en daar bijvoorbeeld demonstraties tegen de regering organiseert en de gewelddadige oppostitie steunt met geld, wapens, explosieven en advies…….. Ach ja, de VS de grootste terreurentiteit ter wereld en dat land durft Iran te beschuldigen van het destabiliseren van het Midden-Oosten, terwijl de VS met haar illegale oorlogen in dat deel van de wereld, plus die in Afghanistan en Libië deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord, dit met hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten, waaronder Nederland….. (deze illegale oorlogen hebben enorme stromen vluchtelingen op gang gebracht en hebben verder terreur aanslagen uitgelokt op de straten van Europa, hoewel die qua slachtoffers niet eens in de schaduw kunnen staan van de enorme hoeveelheid vermoorde mensen door de grootschalige westerse terreur in islamitische landen…….)

Netanyahu’s
every wish is granted

–  President Donald Trump’s gifts to Israel in the last few
weeks of his administration are, quite frankly, incomprehensible
based on any consideration that U.S. foreign policy should be
reflective of American national and international interests. On the
contrary, the nearly worldwide assessment of the United States as a
completely rogue nation headed by someone who is quite plausibly
insane and led by the nose by Israel has done considerable damage to
America’s ability to lead on important issues like nuclear
proliferation and climate change.

Much
of the bad decision making by Trump is derived from his having bought
into the Israeli view of Iran, which, in reality, does not threaten
Americans or U.S. interests. On his recent visit to Israel, Secretary
of State Mike Pompeo added
new sanctions against Iran while also releasing
a State Department statement defending Trump’s “maximum
pressure” against the Islamic Republic. He boasted about the damage
being done to the Iranian economy: “The Maximum Pressure campaign
against the Iranian regime continues to be extraordinarily effective.
Today, Iran’s economy faces a currency crisis, mounting public
debt, and rising inflation. Prior to the Maximum Pressure campaign,
Iran was exporting nearly 2.5 million barrels of oil per day. Now it
struggles to export even a quarter of that volume.”

Hostility
towards Iran also means continuing a military presence in Syria, an
Iranian ally, as well as in Iraq, which has a largely Shi’a
government that is friendly to Iran. Whatever troop withdrawals Trump
is envisioning between now and the time he leaves office will
certainly not include Syria and he will surely be leaving a
considerable presence in Iraq, deferring to Israeli interests.

Trump
and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have doubled down on pleasing
Israel even though Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was
quick off the mark in acknowledging that Joe Biden had indeed won the
presidential election. Netanyahu was able to do so because he knows
that his influence over the White House is matched by his ability to
get favors from both major parties in the U.S. Congress. And if all
else were to fail, unlikely as that is, the Israeli leadership is
confident that it can make the American media dance to its tune. In
other words, no matter what Netanyahu does vis-a-vis the U.S.
election, Israel would find itself well positioned to manipulate
America’s foreign policy to favor its own interests.

Pompeo’s
latest and just concluded trip to the Middle East involved the usual
stops in Israel to be given his marching orders but he also was
bearing gifts. His visit was clearly intended to deliver the message
that as far as the Trump Administration is concerned Israel can do
whatever it wants relating to the Palestinian West Bank, which is now
home to 700,000 illegal settlers. Pompeo accomplished that part of
his mission in two ways. First, he
visited both the annexed Golan Heights as well as an illegal
Israeli settlement at Qasr el Yahud on the Jordan River. He also
stopped at a winery located on land blatantly stolen from
Palestinians, whose Florida based Jewish “owners” had previously
named a wine in his honor. It was the first time that an American
Secretary of State had visited a settlement, and it was a signal that
Washington no longer regards the exclusively Jewish enclaves as an
obstacle to peace and no longer considers them illegal.

Second,
Pompeo, while in Israel last Thursday, made two significant
statements regarding U.S. policies on Israel and the Palestinian
territories, revealing stronger support for Israel’s presence in
the West Bank. He
said that as a result of the State Department taking a
“reality-based foreign policy approach,” products exported to the
U.S. from the illegally occupied territory shall be marked as
Israeli.

He
elaborated “In accordance with this announcement, all producers
within areas where Israel exercises the relevant authorities –
most notably Area C under the Oslo Accords - will be required
to mark goods as ‘Israel’, ’Product of Israel’, or
‘Made in Israel’ when exporting to the United States.” In
other words, the United States is now endorsing the reality that much
of the formerly Palestinian West Bank – Area C comprises 60% of it
– is now both de
facto
and de
jure
part of Israel.

The
move was immediately
denounced by former Palestinian Chief Negotiator Hanan Ashrawi as
“…an attempt to legitimize the theft of Palestinian land and
plunder of Palestinian resources that runs counter fundamental
principles of international law and the global consensus.” And so
it is, but it was followed by a second statement which no doubt
pleased the Israelis but which should concern all Americans who are
troubled about the dramatic erosion of free speech in the United
States.

Pompeo,
standing next to Netahyahu, said the Boycott, Divestment and
Sanctions (BDS) movement was “a cancer” and anti-Semitic, adding
the U.S. would work to stop its funding. Netanyahu called the move
“wonderful.” Formed in 2005, BDS is non-violent. It is active in
many countries around the world and calls for a total boycott of
Israel, including cultural, economic and academic activities, over
the brutal Israeli repression of the Palestinian people.

Pompeo
personally pledged the U.S. government decision to “…immediately
take steps to identify organizations that engage in hateful BDS
conduct and withdraw U.S. government support for such groups. We want
to stand with all other nations that recognize the BDS movement for
the cancer that it is.”

An
accompanying State Department press
statement issued by Pompeo elaborated that “It is the policy of
the United States to combat anti-Semitism everywhere in the world and
in whatever form it appears, including all forms of discrimination
and hatred rooted in anti-Semitism. The United States strongly
opposes the global discriminatory boycott, divestment, and sanctions
(BDS) campaign (Global BDS Campaign) and practices that facilitate
it, such as discriminatory labeling and the publication of databases
of companies that operate in Israel or Israeli-controlled areas. As
we have made clear, anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism. The United States
is, therefore, committed to countering the Global BDS Campaign as a
manifestation of anti-Semitism. To advance this policy, I have
directed the Office of the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat
Anti-Semitism to identify organizations that engage in, or otherwise
support, the Global BDS Campaign. In identifying such organizations,
the Office of the Special Envoy will consider whether an organization
is engaged in actions that are politically motivated and are intended
to penalize, or otherwise limit, commercial relations specifically
with Israel or persons doing business in Israel or in any territory
controlled by Israel.”

The
Pompeo statement is a declaration of war against a non-violent group
that seeks to bring about change through peaceful means. Many U.S.
states have already taken steps to punish BDS and its supporters and
there is legislation in Congress that will make it guilty of hate
speech as well as anti-Semitism due to its criticism of the Jewish
state. The legislation includes substantial fines and prison time. In
France, for example, it is already
illegal to advocate a boycott of Israel.

While
Pompeo was in Israel, lest there be any doubt about the Trump
Administration’s love for the Jewish state, the president himself,
speaking from Washington, announced that Sudan would
be establishing diplomatic relations with Jerusalem. He added
that many more countries would be doing likewise in the next two
months. That Sudan made its decision under intense American pressure
and due to suffocating sanctions imposed by Washington was not
mentioned by President Trump.

Trump
also responded favorably to another request from Netanyahu. Last
Friday his Justice Department blocked any extension of the travel
limitations imposed by the terms of the parole of convicted Israeli
spy Jonathan Pollard. The move came over the objections of many
in intelligence and national security communities, but was intended
to please Israel. Pollard, a former Navy intelligence analyst, is now
free from any travel restrictions and will move to Israel, where he
is regarded as a hero and has been granted citizenship in
absentia.
He was the most damaging spy in U.S. history, having revealed top
secret information on U.S. intelligence sources and communications,
some of which was passed on to the Soviet Union by Israel in exchange
for allowing the emigration of Russian Jews.

It
is being argued that both Trump and Pompeo have ulterior motives for
expressing their warm feelings towards Israel and all its works.
Pompeo would like to be the GOP presidential candidate in 2024 and
Trump would like to retain his control over the party. Either would
benefit from the powerful support of the Israel Lobby in the United
States and through solidifying their positions as being among the
greatest friends of the Jewish state. The tragedy is that what
benefits two more politicians on the make has absolutely nothing in
it for the American people. And from Joe “I’m a Zionist” Biden
we certainly can expect more of the same, both because the outgoing
Trumpsters are creating a web of complications around what is taking
place both with Iran and Israel that will be difficult to unravel and
because the new president would fear taking any steps not approved by
Netanyahu.

Israël gebruikt sadistisch geweld bij vernietigen Palestijnse huizen in Oost-Jeruzalem

Op 21 juli jl. heeft Israël een aantal huizen in Oost-Jeruzalem
gesloopt, niet dat Israël daartoe gemachtigd is, maar gewoon omdat
het dit ongestraft kan doen, sterker nog een groot aantal aanhangers
van het fascistische zionisme juichen dit van harte toe……. E.e.a. onder het mom dat deze huizen een bedreiging zouden zijn voor de veiligheid van Israël…….. 

Een
groep activisten, waaronder Britse burgers, die probeerden e.e.a.
tegen te houden door in het huis van één van de Palestijnen te blijven zitten, werden uiterst sadistisch behandeld door de aanwezige
militairen, die mensen zelfs aan de haren het huis uitsleepten en een andere activist bijna wurgden met zijn sjaal….. Dit geeft eens te meer aan dat Israël willens en wetens
oorlogsmisdaden begaat, immers het had ook politie kunnen inzetten,
het korps daar is als het leger afgeladen met uiterst gewelddadige,
psychopathische fascisten…….

12 mensen moesten worden opgenomen in het ziekenhuis nadat ze door psychopathisch Israëlisch geteisem van trappen werden geschopt en 2 van hen werden van dichtbij getroffen door met rubber omhulde stalen kogels…… ‘Echte heldhaftig’ het Israëlische leger, wat een laffe honden….. 

Ongelofelijk
dat Israël maar haar gang kan blijven gaan zonder dat westerse
politici of de reguliere westerse massamedia daar schande van spreken, alsof de
Palestijnen de holocaust hebben uitgevoerd en niet nazi-Duitsland met
hulp van de politie in de destijds door de nazi’s bezette Europese
landen…….. 

De
massamoord op ongewapende burgers die protesteerden in The Great
Return March, was geen reden voor westers protest, ook toen medisch
hulpverleners en journalisten die aan het werk waren werden afgeknald door het
fascistische Israëlische geteisem gaf dat geen verontwaardigde reacties (zelfs niet van collega journalisten in het westen…)…. Nogmaals geen verontwaardigde reacties op het vermoorden door Israël van invaliden en
kinderen in die demonstraties……..

Als bijvoorbeeld Rusland maar één tiende van het aantal misdaden zou begaan die op naam van Israël staan, zou de wereld op de kop staan…….

Israeli
soldiers have injured a
number of Palestinian and British activists in occupied East
Jerusalem. According to the International Solidarity Movement (ISM),
the activists “were stamped on, dragged across the floor by the
hair, strangled with a scarf and pepper sprayed” by the soldiers.
The ISM described the actions as “sadistic”.

International
solidarity

The
British activists are members of the ISM and were engaging in
“non-violent action” by staying in the home of a local
Palestinian man. Along with 30 local people, they were attempting to
“delay the demolition” by Israeli authorities of the home of
Ismail Obeide.

Early
on the morning of 22 July, Israeli soldiers broke down
the door of Obeide’s home and began attacking him and the
activists.

“Excessive
force”

According to
the ISM, the Israelis “used excessive force”. It also reported
that they teargassed the activists while in a small and unventilated
room. One of them, Chris Lorigan, said:

“When
the soldiers found us in the bathroom, they threw multiple tear gas
canisters and shut the door. As we started to suffocate in the
smallest room in the house, soldiers burst in and dragged us
violently, pulling at every possible part, regardless of safety or
policy”.

He
went on to describe how
the Israeli forces began to beat him:

“I
was dragged by my feet and lifted up, kicked in the stomach, then one
soldier in particular stamped on my head four times, at full force,
then standing on my head and pulling at my hair, he then stamped on
my throat and others started punching my torso”.

Lorigan declared that
this “was a sadistic display of violence” by the soldiers.

The
soldiers also crushed the
hands of one of the activists in the attack. As a result, her hands
“will be permanently misshapen unless she gets cosmetic surgery”.
And another activist related how:

“A
soldier dragged me by my keffiyeh [scarf] across the floor strangling
me until I screamed when he then crushed my neck under his knee”.

The
ISM also reported that
12 Palestinian activists ended up in hospital after the Israeli
soldiers kicked them down some stairs. The soldiers also shot two of
them “at close range with rubber-coated steel bullets”.

“Ethnic
Cleansing”

Israel
had earmarked a
number of homes in the area of Sur Baher for destruction. And it’s
already razed a number of homes in the area, drawing international
condemnation.

After
the Israeli soldiers evicted the
activists and Obeide, they demolished his home and those of other
people.
The ISM called the actions “Evidence of the ongoing ethnic
cleansing of Palestine”.

De volgende beschrijving van wat Palestijnen te verduren hebben onder de Israëlische bezetting, beginnend op 10 juli en eindigend op 18 juli.

Deze opsomming van feiten is volgens de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël niets anders dan antisemitisme………

De laatste 13 jaar heeft Israël minstens 1.440 huizen van Palestijnen op de West Bank vernietigd, in het hieronder weergegeven bericht o.a. de eigenaar van een vernietigd huis, die alle benodigde vergunningen voor de bouw van dat huis in zijn bezit had…… Met dit soort acties is Israël bezig een langzame etnische zuivering door te voeren, immers het leven wordt de Palestijnen letterlijk en figuurlijk onmogelijk gemaakt, zodat hen nog maar één mogelijkheid rest om een normaal leven te kunnen leiden >> vluchten…..

Zegt het voort, de hoogste tijd dat Nederland haar ambassadeur terugtrekt uit Israël, waarvoor alleen de massamoorden die Israël keer op keer aanricht onder de Palestijnen al genoeg zou moeten zijn…… Bovendien: Israël is hetzelfde land dat al voor enorme kapitalen aan Nederlandse ontwikkelingsprojecten voor de Palestijnen heeft vernietigd…..

The
occupation continues to traumatize the Palestinian population in
Hebron. Here are some of the things that have happed in Hebron this
July:

July
10

Israeli
settlers broke into Palestinian shops on Shuhada Street in the Old
City of Hebron (H2) where the military has kept doors shuttered since
2001—Palestinian owners are not allowed to even visit their shops.
The closed shops broken into by setters were were
originally used as blacksmith workshops. Over 75% of Palestinian
businesses in H2—the section of Hebron under Israeli military
control—have closed due to military restrictions and other
difficulties of the occupation.

Also
on July 10, Israeli bulldozers demolished a caravan in the village of
Idhna, west of Hebron, claiming it was too close to
Israel’s apartheid wall—this was the same reason given for the
massive demolitions of 16 apartment buildings—100 housing
units—in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi Hummus this
month. 


Under
the Oslo Accords, for Palestinians to build in Area C—under Israeli
military control—building permits must be obtained by the
Israeli Civil Administration. These permits are rarely/never granted
so residents are forced to build structures without permits. Israel
later uses the excuse of a building not having had a construction
permit as a reason for demolition. 

July
11 

Israel
forces issued a demolition order for the Hebron home belonging
to Issam Tumaizy. Palestinian farmer Amjad Islaimaya was ordered by
Israel to halt his construction. The “reason” given to both
Issam and Amjad was that they did not have building permits for their
properties west of Hebron. Between 2006 and June 2019, Israel
has demolished at least 1,440 residential units across the West Bank,
causing 6,336 people to become homeless

July
13 

They
Israeli military raided areas of H1 in Hebron (under Palestinian
Authority control) putting up mobil checkpoints and delivered
a demolition order notice to the house of Mohammad Ali
Al-Allami, north of Hebron. This was despite Mohammed being in
possession of all necessary legal documents, including permits and
proof of ownership for the construction he had done on his
home.

Seventeen-year-old
Rawan Abu Sneineh was detained by the Israeli military while passing
through a military checkpoint near the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement
in Hebron. She was accused of carrying a knife.

The
Israeli military demolished a Palestinian irrigation pool near the
east of Hebron near the illegal Kiryat Arba Settlement. The family of
Ziad Aljabari had been using the irrigation pol to water their crops.

A
seven year old Palestinian child was killed in hit-and-run car attack
by an illegal settler in the area Tarqumia, west of Hebron.
Eyewitnesses called the Israeli security forces, who transported the
boy to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Local sources
reported that the Israeli authorities made no attempts to
identify and apprehend the murder of the young boy. The child’s
family continues to grieve.

Honderden uiterst ‘dappere veiligheidsagenten’ (te zwaar bewapende psychopathische boa’s) hebben in Oost-Jeruzalem een aantal huizen van Palestijnen gesloopt. Niet dat Israël het recht heeft om dat te doen, nee, volgens de akkoorden van Oslo, valt dat deel van de stad onder beheer van de Palestijnse autoriteiten……..

Alsof de voornoemde akkoorden niet bestaan, ging Israël gewoon door met de sloopactie, onder voorwendsel dat de huizen de veiligheid van Israëliërs in gevaar zouden brengen……… Je begrijpt dat e.e.a. plaatsvond onder bescherming van de ‘heldhaftige’ psychopatenpolitie van Israël……

Ja beste lezer, zomaar een uiterst kort verslag van een ‘Palestijnse dag’ in Oost-Jeruzalem: één dag heb je een dak boven je hoofd en de volgende sta je met gezin en al op straat, omdat je Palestijn bent…..

Het is
Danny Danon, de Israëlische ambassadeur voor de VN, nu echt geheel in de psychopathische bol geslagen, volgens
hem moeten de Palestijnen zich overgeven zoals Egypte dat eerder
heeft gedaan, dit heeft dat land geen windeieren opgeleverd, aldus de ploert, waar hij overigens loog dat Egypte zich overgaf (voor details lees het hieronder opgenomen artikel)…….. 

Danon wijst er voorts op dat de Duitsers en Japan zich ook hebben overgegeven aan het
eind van WOII en ook voor hen betekende dit economische
vooruitgang, even vergetend dat Palestina geen soevereine staat is met een leger zoals Duitsland en Japan dat wel waren, kortom een vergelijking die als een tang op een varken slaat……

Uiteraard
moeten de Palestijnen verder afzien van een eigen staat, ofwel de
Palestijnen moeten nationalistische suïcide plegen. Alleen deze zaken
kunnen volgens Danon leiden tot duurzame vrede…… Danon vergeet
even dat Israël ook tegen de Palestijnen (die in ander ‘Israëlische gebied’
leven dan de West Bank of de Gazastrook) wetten heeft aangenomen
waarbij deze Palestijnen, door Israël aangeduid als arabieren,
werden teruggezet van klasse 2 burgers naar klasse 3 burgers…..

Danon
plaatste e.e.a. in de New York Times, dit tijdens overleg in Bahrein
over de toekomst van de Palestijnen, waar de Palestijnen niet aan
willen deelnemen, daar de voorwaarden voor deelname een overgave aan Israël zou
betekenen…….

Vergeet
niet dat de stichting van de staat Israël illegaal was en nog steeds
is, het grondgebied dat zionisten met geweld van de Palestijnen
afnamen, behoort nog steeds aan de vorige eigenaren, ofwel de
Palestijnen, die i.t.t. wat Israël zegt, wel degelijk rechten kunnen
doen gelden op de eigendommen die ze eeuwen in bezit hebben
gehad….. Niet de Palestijnen waren verantwoordelijk voor het
afvoeren van Joden naar de dodenkampen, maar nazi-Duitsland met
behulp van politie en andere autoriteiten van de bezette gebieden
(zoals die van Nederland), waaruit Joden werden afgevoerd……. Uit
schaamte ziet men in het westen alles door de vingers wat Israël flikt, terwijl dit land NB veel zaken heeft overgenomen die door de
nazi’s werden geïntroduceerd en nu worden gebruikt tegen het vervolgde Palestijnen
volk……

in the New York Times, Israeli UN Ambassador says Palestinian
surrender and ‘national suicide’ is needed for peace

This
came out yesterday in the pages of the New
York Times:

The
“economic workshop” in Bahrain this week, a summit of business
leaders and political figures, is the first step in the rollout of
the Trump administration’s long-awaited Israeli-Palestinian peace
plan. However, because the plan offers a new approach, many on the
Palestinian side, including President Mahmoud Abbas and the chief
Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, say that the plan is dead on
arrival and that engaging with it is tantamount to a Palestinian
declaration of surrender. I ask: What’s wrong with Palestinian
surrender?

Israel’s
UN Ambassador Danny Danon’s opinion
piece,
titled “What’s Wrong With Palestinian Surrender?” posits
that the current Bahrain conference (today and tomorrow) is something
that Palestinians should have embraced, rather than rejected.


This
“economic workshop”, based upon the “deal of the century”
concept, is indeed proving to be dead on arrival. Arguably, this is
just the Emperor’s
New Clothes,
where the gown is called “New Palestine”, offering no political
substance, just a lot of money. Not only has the Palestinian
Authority boycotted it (and persuaded Palestinian businessmen not to
attend) – Israeli officials are reportedly not going to be there
either.

Danon
is simply chiding the Palestinians for yet again missing a wonderful
opportunity. Yet he is quite clear about what this opportunity means:
It’s an opportunity to surrender.

With
Danon, one is often instinctively caused to think “is he being
serious?” – but then you remember that this is the guy who waves
bibles at
the UN Security Council to claim ownership of all of historical
Palestine, and you get that yes, he’s being serious.

“Destroying
Israel”

Danon
writes that the problem with Palestinians is that their “national
identity” is about “destroying Israel”. Having chided the
Palestinians for their high unemployment rates despite foreign aid
(Danon does not mention that Israel plunders about
78% of that aid, though he does note over 50 percent unemployment in
Gaza), Danon then procedes to point out the supposed essential flaw
in the Palestinian national identity:

Yet
[Palestinian Chief Negotiator] Mr. Erekat and the Palestinian
leadership choose to stay the course and reject the term “surrender.”
In doing so, they expose the uncomfortable truth about the
Palestinian national identity: It is motivated not by building a
better life for its people but by destroying Israel.

To
bolster his point about this intrinsic flaw, Danon points out how
“Western national ethos” is liberal – and here he brings not
only the US “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and the
French “Liberté, égalité, fraternité”, but also the Israeli
“natural right of the Jewish people to be masters of their own fate
in their own sovereign State”. This is deeply ironic. If Danon were
following the vein of the former two, he could have cited something
else from the Israeli Declaration of Independence, for example
“complete equality of social and political rights to all its
inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex”. For all the
discrepancy between what is written and reality, it would have at
least looked better.
But no, Danon chooses one of the most nationalist, exclusivist
clauses, containing the “master” language, which in the Israeli
reality has an all too cynical meaning. Danon reveals his
white-and-Jewish-supremacist bias, which he seems to think is
enlightened.

Danon
then compares this to the supposed Palestinian ethos, citing from the
1968 PLO charter:

In
contrast to these Western national ethoses, the charter of the
Palestine Liberation Organization, a precursor to the Palestinian
Authority, states its “mottos” as “national unity, national
mobilization, and liberation” and talks about the “basic conflict
that exists between the forces of Zionism and of imperialism on the
one hand, and the Palestinian Arab people on the other.”
Palestinian leaders have rejected multiple peace overtures, launched
intifadas and wars, and sponsored countless acts of terrorism in
adherence to this belief.

Putting
aside for the moment that the PLO has moved to recognize Israel in
treaty, in the 1993 Oslo Accords (while Israel has never recognized
Palestine and Danon’s Likud “flatly rejects the establishment of
a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river”), Danon’s
former comparison of the “Western ethos” as opposed to these
supposedly backwards Palestinian “mottos”, precisely betrays the
colonialist nature of his Zionist venture. The Palestinians are not
allowed to “liberate” themselves from enlightened colonialist
rule – the best they can do is “surrender”, for their own good,
of course.

Palestinians
need to commit “national suicide”

Danon
falsely suggests that the Palestinian aim for statehood is anathema
to recognizing Israel and what he calls “the Jewish people”. The
fact that Israel is recognized in the Oslo Accords proves this is an
invalid point. The two-state solution was precisely seen, at least
from the Palestinian standpoint, as a means of recognition of both
Israel and Palestine, where the PLO had already made concessions to
suffice with a mere 22% of historical Palestine (this ideological
concession was already being made around the
early 1980’s).
But Danon now says that Palestinians should be willing to
negotiate even
without any prospect of a state,
to give up that ambition totally:

With
this national ethos, negotiating without the explicit endorsement of
a Palestinian state is seen as a rejection of the Palestinian
national identity, and an acknowledgment that Israel and the Jewish
people are here to stay. In short, for Mr. Abbas and Mr. Erekat, this
approach is akin to national suicide. Yet a national suicide of the
Palestinians’ current political and cultural ethos is precisely
what is needed for peace. The belief that the Jews have no right to
the land and Israel is to be destroyed, which engenders a culture of
hate and incitement, needs to end.

In
other words, Danon is saying to Palestinians “drop dead.” Danon
is thus suggesting that Palestinians should resort to hopes of a
better afterlife, following their suicide. At least there’s
something to look forward to.

Surrender,
like Egypt

Danon
makes the invalid comparison of Palestine to other sovereign
countries, some of which had surrendered in the past yet experienced
a prosperous (economic) future later. He thus brings examples from
World War Two:

The
United States did not eradicate the German and Japanese people after
their surrender in World War II, but instead helped transform them
from imperial military powers to what are today among the world’s
leading economic powerhouses.

To
bring the comparison closer to our times and to the region, Danon
compares Palestine to Egypt:

In
the Middle East, following defeat in four conventional wars between
1948 and 1973, Egypt surrendered the idea that it could wipe Israel
from the region, and President Anwar Sadat chose peace, which Israel
was ready to accept. After the 1979 peace agreement, Egypt became a
favored recipient of American foreign and military aid, and the
beneficiary of an influx of Western investment. There is no reason to
believe a Palestinian declaration of surrender could not lead to a
similar transformation.

These
comparisons are deeply problematic, for several reasons. First,
Palestine is not a state like Egypt, or Japan, or Germany, with a
military, with their own sovereign territory etc. Palestine is
essentially a fully occupied set of Bantustans which are at the mercy
of Israel’s whims, from checkpoints in the West Bank to seasonal
massacres in Gaza.

Second,
Egypt did not “surrender” – in fact, it surprised Israel in a
devastating joint attack with Syria in 1973, which Egypt fought on
its own occupied Sinai peninsula – not even Israeli territory. That
attack was the language of force, which Israelis regularly chide the
“Arabs” for being the only thing they understand. When Sadat
offered peace overtures to Golda Meir in 1970, he was ignored;
Defense Minister Moshe Dayan said “Better Sharm el-Sheikh without
peace than peace without Sharm el-Sheikh”, referring to the Sinai
coastal town. So, in 1973 Israel got force, a language it
understood, and that led to the peace treaty signed in 1979, where
Israel agreed to withdraw from the Egyptian Sinai. If one wants to
use the word “surrender”, it could be argued that Israel
“surrendered” its wishes to control the Sinai.

“The
Palestinians have little to lose”

Finally,
Danon ends his torturous article with the paragraph:

The
Palestinians have little to lose and everything to gain by putting
down the sword and accepting the olive branch. Israel awaits the
emergence of a Palestinian Anwar Sadat, a leader who is willing to do
what is best for his people — a leader who recognizes that building
a bright future requires surrendering a dark past.

It
may be a Freudian slip, when Danon says “the Palestinians have
little to lose”. US moves to defund various forms of aid to
Palestinians, to “remove from the table” the critical issue of
Jerusalem by moving its embassy, and Israeli blackmailing in the form
of withholding tax revenues, amongst a plethora of other coercive
measures, appear to be aimed at forcing the Palestinians into ever
more dire economic straits, from which they would be prone to
extricate themselves by acceding to the “economic peace” plans
which involve their “national suicide”. But colonialists often
make this error in judgement. They assume, that the only thing their
inferior subjects want is to exist, and make money. Like Jared
Kushner said it recently, when he suggested that
Palestinians were not ready to govern themselves:

What
[the Palestinian people] want is they want the opportunity to live a
better life. They want the opportunity to pay their mortgage.

The
idea that these people might want, or need, freedom from the yoke of
oppression, is apparently beyond the scope of the colonialist mind.
As Danon says, they need to surrender. And this is not in order to be
“masters of their own fate”. Oh, no, Danon makes clear that
mastership is reserved solely for Jews in Israel and Palestine.
Palestinians need to know their place in this hierarchy. In this
hierarchy, Danon, the bible-waving Jew, is at the top, and
Palestinians are at the bottom.

De

dichtknijpen met Trump in het VS zadel. De Oslo Akkoorden, nu 25 jaar
oud, worden door Israël met voeten getreden, daarbij in feite
gesteund door de VS. Bij deze vaststelling moet ik zeggen dat die
Oslo Akkoorden al een belachelijk product zijn waar de Palestijnen
aan het kortste eind hebben getrokken. Ik bedoel: hoe is het mogelijk
dat Arafat, de leider van de PLO akkoord ging met de legitimatie van Israëlische zeggenschap op de door haar illegaal bezette West Bank?? Te zot voor woorden!!

Zoals
we vanaf maart hebben kunnen zien met de Great Return March in de
Gazastrook (dus niet op de straten van het gestolen land Israël),
waar Israëlische scherpschutters als ‘echte helden’ vanuit het gestolen land Israël een massamoord
hebben aangericht en nog steeds op Palestijnen schieten als ze aan
hun kant van de grens, naar de mening van Israëlische psychopaten, te dicht bij die grens komen….. Let wel: het

(MPN Op-ed) — In
the months leading up to the 25th anniversary of the Oslo
Accords,
the U.S. has colluded with Israel in a string of policies and
decisions that completely undermine the legitimacy of the agreement,
not to mention Palestinian claims to justice, freedom and ultimately
peace. As these policies unfold, one cannot help recalling the words
of the great Palestinian writer Ghassan
Kanafani,
who said that talking with the Israelis is “a conversation between
the sword and the neck.”

There
is a clear common thread that binds several of the U.S. policies
enacted by President Donald Trump since last December. Moving the
U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem; pulling out of the Iran
agreement; defunding UNRWA, and closing the PLO mission in D.C. all
satisfy the objectives of the Israeli government while not benefiting
the United States in the least. One might imagine that the United
States is executing Israel’s policy, reading as it were from a menu
that was provided by Benjamin Netanyahu. In fact, the Trump
administration is every Israeli prime minister’s dream.

Jerusalem

Moving
the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was reckless, dangerous
and absurd. The occupation and annexation of Jerusalem by Israel was
in violation of UN resolution 181 from November 1947, which states in
“Part III, City of Jerusalem” that:

“The
City of Jerusalem shall be established as a corpus
separatum under a special international regime and shall be
administered by the United Nations. The Trusteeship Council shall be
designated to discharge the responsibilities of the Administering
Authority on behalf of the United Nations.”

Resolution
194 from December 1948 — in other words, more than a year after
Resolution 181 was passed and the eastern half of Jerusalem was
occupied and subjected to a total full ethnic cleansing, where not
one Palestinian was permitted to remain — reiterates this:

| Resolves that, in view of its association with three world
religions, the Jerusalem area, including the present municipality of
Jerusalem plus the surrounding villages and towns, the most eastern
of which shall be Abu Dis; the most southern, Bethlehem; the most
western, Ein Karim (including also the built-up area of Motsa); and
the most northern, Shu’fat, should be accorded special and separate
treatment from the rest of Palestine and should be placed under
effective United Nations control …

For
this reason all diplomatic missions to Israel are situated in Tel
Aviv and not Jerusalem. The diplomatic missions in Jerusalem mostly
pre-date the establishment of the State of Israel and are considered
sovereign and independent of their countries’ embassies in Tel
Aviv. Even the U.S. consulate until recently reported directly to
Washington, and the consul general was in fact an ambassador. This
was not unlike placing the U.S. embassy to France in Berlin and —
according to sources I spoke to at the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem —
now that the ambassador’s office was moved to Jerusalem, the place
is in a state of confusion and it is not at all clear who is
responsible for what.

In
addition to all of the above, the recognition of Jerusalem as the
capital city of Israel legitimizes the crime of ethnic cleansing and
destruction which Israel has perpetrated in Jerusalem since 1948.
This move did not benefit the U.S. in any way but it boosted Benjamin
Netanyahu’s political power, and can be viewed as nothing less than
a personal political gift from the president of the United States to
Netanyahu.

Iran
Deal

Israel,
and Netanyahu, in particular, have been against the nuclear deal with
Iran from the very beginning. Needing a diversion from its own war
crimes and violations of international law, Israel has for many years
pointed to Iran as a threat to itself and the rest of the world. This
was a point of serious disagreement between the Obama administration
and Israel and then Donald Trump put the disagreement to rest and the
U.S. withdrew from the agreement.

According
to a piece in
Rand.com, Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement “despite a
lack of evidence that Iran is violating the agreement. To the
contrary, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has verified Iran’s
compliance numerous times.” The article continues by saying,
“the implications of this decision could be disastrous for the
Middle East under any conceivable scenario.”

A piece in
the British Independent bluntly
claims that:

“The
president’s foreign policy has so far been marked by a significant
ratcheting of tensions with Iran, driven by his administration’s
noted friendliness towards Israel,
which opposes the [Iran nuclear] deal.”

According
to a report from
August 2018 by the IAEA,
the International Atomic Energy Agency:

“Since
Implementation Day, the Agency has been verifying and monitoring the
implementation by Iran of its nuclear-related commitments under the
JCPOA.” The report states that among other things:

“Since
16 January, 2016 [JCPOA Implementation Day], the Agency has verified
and monitored Iran’s implementation of its nuclear-related
commitments in accordance with the modalities set out in the JCPOA.”

The
report states clearly that Iran was and continues to be compliant in
all areas of the agreement. All the other countries that are
signatories to the agreement remain committed to it, and they all
insisted that a U.S. withdrawal was a mistake. Only one person
insisted the U.S. must withdraw, and that is Benjamin Netanyahu, and
he is the one person whose claims President
Trump decided to accept. Once again, the United States had nothing to
gain and everything to lose from the withdrawal and once again
Netanyahu personally gained political strength as the sole voice to
which the president of the United States listens.

UNRWA

The
United States can see no benefit whatsoever in denying UNRWA funding;
yet this is what the Trump administration decided to
do. The very agency responsible for providing relief, albeit
inadequate, to the refugees of Palestine was receiving $300 million
per year, which is a drop in the bucket in terms of relief and of
course in terms of the U.S. government’s total budget. In an
open letter to
Palestine refugees and UNRWA staff, dated September 1, 2018, Pierre
Krähenbühl, UNRWA Commissioner-General, writes,

“The
need for humanitarian action … in the case of Palestine refugees,
was caused by forced displacement, dispossession, loss of homes and
livelihoods, as well as by statelessness and occupation. … [T]he
undeniable fact remains that they have rights under international law
and represent a community of 5.4 million men, women and children who
cannot simply be wished away.”

“The
attempt to make UNRWA somehow responsible for perpetuating the crisis
is disingenuous at best,” the commissioner said, responding
to claims made
by Netanyahu that “UNRWA is an organization that perpetuates the
problem of the Palestinian refugees.” Netanyahu also stated that
UNRWA “perpetuates the narrative of the so-called ‘right of
return,’” which the state of Israel fears — and therefore,
according to Netanyahu, “UNRWA must disappear.”

According
to The
New York Times,
this move was pushed hard by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, “as
part of a plan to compel Palestinian politicians to drop demands for
many of those refugees to return.”  The right of the refugees
to return is enshrined in UN Resolution
194,
and one wonders why the U.S. should object to Palestinian demand for
return of the refugees to their homes? Once again this is a gift to
Netanyahu, who wants to see the refugee issue disappear.

PLO
Mission

A
product of the Oslo Accords, the PLO mission in Washington is the
de-facto embassy of Palestine, the face and the voice of the
Palestinian Authority in the U.S. Now, almost exactly on the 25th
anniversary of the signing of the Accords, the Trump administration
announces the closing of the mission. It could have come as no
surprise when Netanyahu, who fiercely opposed the
Accords, applauded the
U.S. administration decision. This was yet one more insignificant
step for the U.S., and one giant gift to Benjamin Netanyahu.

Met het schaamrood op de kaken moet ik erkennen dat ik dit belangrijke bericht in klad heb laten liggen, maar beter laat dan nooit: alsof
de rechterlijke macht nog in haar kinderschoenen staat in Israël*, had
een NB militaire rechter het gore lef het 17 jarige  meisje Ahed al-Tamimi en haar moeder nog langer vast
te houden in een militaire gevangenis, dit voor het slaan van een
soldaat……. 

Ja ik weet ‘t, te zot voor woorden, maar het is de
naakte waarheid in het gestolen land Israël, waar psychopathische
fascisten een uitermate wreed en bloeddorstig bewind voeren en dat ook
nog eens in illegaal bezet gebied…… (Israël had nooit het recht mogen krijgen een eigen staat te beginnen in Palestina, iets waar het
westen en m.n. Groot-Brittannië verantwoordelijk voor zijn, daarnaast heeft Israël de West Bank
illegaal bezet en heeft daar godbetert met het meer dan achterlijke
Oslo akkoord in de hand ook nog eens zeggenschap gekregen over een

Hoe

Extends Detention of Ahed Tamimi and Her Mother

(MEMO) — Israel’s
Ofer military court today extended the detention of the Palestinian
teenager Ahed Tamimi and her mother until March 11th.

The
judge passed down the ruling in a closed
session,
in which only a few members of the family were allowed to attend.

On
19 December 2017 Israeli forces arrested the
then 16-year-old during a night raid on her house in the occupied
West Bank village of Nabi Saleh. A video of Ahed confronting
occupation forces who had been stationed on her family’s land had
gone viral on social media.

Israeli

In plaats van in te gaan op de waarschuwing van de VN om de blokkade van de Gazastrook op te heffen voor humanitaire hulp, heeft Israël letterlijk de waterkraan voor de Gazastrook gesloten, terwijl dit gebied gebukt gaat onder droogte……..

Dit terwijl 97% van de Gazaanse watervoorraad is verontreinigd met rioolwater en zout, dit was begin vorig jaar al zo en de situatie is sindsdien niet verbeterd……. VN woordvoerder Robert Piper noemt de situatie ernstig en stelt dat de organisatie voor wie hij werkt achterloopt met het voorzien van de Gazanen van drinkwater…….. (overigens de situatie op de West bank niet veel beter dan die in de Gazastrook en de volgende gegevens zijn ook daar voor het grootste deel van toepassing, behalve dan de genoemde verontreiniging van de grondwatervoorraad….)

Hierbij komen ook de verdoemde Oslo akkoorden weer om de hoek kijken: destijds werd afgesproken dat Israël (dat toentertijd een deel van de Gazastrook bezet hield voor illegale nederzettingen) de grondwatervoorraden voor de Gazastrook (en West Bank) beheert, waarbij de verdeling werd vastgesteld op 4 keer de hoeveelheid voor Israël en de rest voor de Palestijnen. Echter in de praktijk gebruikt Israël meer dan 80% van de watervoorraad….. Israël verkoopt water aan de Palestijnen tegen de hoofdprijs, terwijl de zwembaden in de illegale nederzettingen (dat zijn alle nederzettingen…..) en elders t.b.v. de Israëliërs goed gevuld zijn……

Israël heeft het grootste deel van de infrastructuur in de Gazastrook vernield en ook elektriciteit wordt de Gazanen maar al te vaak onthouden (veelal heeft men 6 uur per dag elektriciteit…), nadat Israël de Palestijnse elektriciteitscentrale in 2014 aan flenters heeft gebombardeerd…… Als gevolg daarvan werken ook de sanitaire voorzieningen in dit uiterst dichtbevolkte gebied voor het grootste deel niet, een gebied dat in feite een openluchtgevangenis, of SS stijl getto is………. Pompen in de Gazastrook werken niet meer en de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël houdt de import van onderdelen ter reparatie tegen……

Ongelofelijk dat de wereld keer op keer Israël laat wegkomen met deze oorlogsmisdaden, met deze misdaden tegen de menselijkheid en het aanrichten van enorme bloedbaden onder de Palestijnse bevolking…….. Waar zijn de hypocriete politici die vooraan staan te schreeuwen als het om landen als Rusland, Iran, Noord-Korea en Syrië gaat, waartegen men ofwel boycots heeft ingesteld en openlijk dan wel verhuld een verandering van regime eist ,onder meer gebaseerd op ‘mensenrechtenschendingen…….’

than heeding the warnings from the UN to open up Gaza’s blockade
and allow vital aid, what we have witnessed over the course of the
last decade is a periodic all-out Israeli assault on Gaza’s vital
infrastructure.

GAZA  (Analysis) — Near the end of last month, Haaretz reported that, according to an expert hydrologist, 97 percent of Gaza’s drinking water has been contaminated by sewage and salt. The UN also confirmed that this was the case early last year, and clearly, the situation has remained unchanged even up until 2018. Robert Piper, the UN’s local coordinator for humanitarian and development activities, has called the situation “really very serious” and stated that “[w]e are falling far behind the demand for clean drinking water for Gazans.”

This
kind of mistreatment is part and parcel of an overall package of
deprivation that continues to plague the Palestinian people. There
are some 2 million residents in Gaza affected by this egregious
policy, famously one of the most densely populated areas on the
planet. Gaza’s water resources are fully controlled by Israel and
the division of groundwater is something that was provided for in the
Oslo II Accord. However, despite the fact that under the Accord
Israel is allocated
four times the
Palestinian portion of water resources, it has
been revealed that
Israel has been extracting 80 percent more water from the West Bank
than it agreed to.

In
2009, the World Bank wrote that
the responsibility was on the government of Israel to recognize that
water and sanitation is a central component of the Gaza Strip
humanitarian crisis and make arrangements to facilitate fuel
distribution to some 170 water and sewage pumps in Gaza; maintain the
Beit Lahiya Sewage Lake; and restore regular electricity supply in
order to reduce dependence on fuel for generators.

According
to the World Bank, at the time, almost all of Gaza’s population was
without running water and was dependent on stored water supplies. The
World Bank also noted that nearly all sewage and water pumps were out
of operation due to lack of electricity and diminished fuel supplies,
something that we will address below. But once again, these
deficiencies fall squarely on the shoulders of the Israeli
government, which is wholly responsible for Gaza’s electricity and
water supply.


In
order to rectify the issue, the Deputy UN Special Coordinator for the
Middle East Peace Process, Maxwell Gaylard, called
for the immediate opening of
Gaza’s crossings to allow the entry of spare parts and materials
critical to the restoration of Gaza’s water and sanitation
services. Israel famously closed Gaza’s crossing points in June
2007 and the local population has been suffering ever since.


However,
there are many other factors that have helped to create this
humanitarian catastrophe. Israel routinely unleashes bombing
campaigns on the Gaza Strip every few years, targeting vital
infrastructure, including destroying
Gaza’s only power plant in 2014.
The blockade single-handedly prevents vital materials and equipment
from making its way into Gaza, making redevelopment impossible, even
some four years later.



Electricity
supply

According to
the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the Gaza Strip
endures dry, hot summers that are subject to drought.


Exploiting
these conditions, Israel has used electricity as an inventive point
of leverage to torture the Palestinian people, while the
international community has stayed largely silent. This is the same
international community that cites human rights abuses in Syria,
Iran, and North Korea to promote military intervention and regime
change to suit its geopolitical needs, yet stays silent as 2 million
Gazan residents are suffering immensely in what is widely regarded as
an open-air
prison and
the world’s largest ghetto.


On
a good day, residents in Gaza over the last six months have been
receiving three
to four hours of electricity per day, the flow of which is controlled
by Israel. However, according to the Times
of Israel,
Gazans were only able to obtain four hours’ worth of electricity
thanks mainly to fuel supplies sent from Egypt. On a bad day, some
estimates cite
that Gazans have been receiving as little as two hours electricity
per day if any at all.


After
the Palestinian Authority said
it would begin
resuming payment for Israeli electricity flows to the Gaza Strip (at
a cost of some $2.8 million per month), Israel announced it would
restore its share of the electricity supply. However, this will
increase Gaza’s electricity supply only to approximately six hours’
worth of electricity per day. The outage of electricity is expected
to last for 12 hours a day at least, according to the Electronic
Intifada.


One
should bear in mind that, with a Gazan population of around 2 million
residents, the effects of this stringent electricity supply are felt
far beyond just the average household. In August of last year, Gaza’s
children’s hospitals also
warned of
a health “catastrophe,” as power cuts routinely take place during
four-hour-long dialysis treatment.


For
years, Israel has attempted to shed blame from its inhumane policies
and instead point to the debacle solely on an internal Palestinian
issue between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Last year, Human
Rights Watch’s director for the region, Omar Shakir, told
the right-wing pro-Israel publication Algemeiner that
because Israel is “legally the occupying power,” it bore the
brunt of the responsibility for this crisis. “Israel controls the
borders, the airspace, the waters of Gaza, so Israel has an
obligation that goes beyond merely responding to a request from
Palestinian authorities,” Shakir reportedly said.


The Electronic
Intifada also
notes that Israel has been using electricity as a politically viable
blackmail tool, with Israel’s Coordination of Government Activities
in the Territories (COGAT) stating it
would restore electricity after Israeli prisoners held in Gaza were
returned, as well as the bodies of two Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)
soldiers, Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul. It is also worth noting that
Egypt, too, shares
a great dealof
the blame for this horrific treatment of the Palestinian people 

Assaults

Rather

Since
the blockade was enforced, there have been three major IDF operations
in Gaza: Operation Cast Lead in 2008-2009, Operation Pillar of
Defense in 2012, and Operation Protective Edge in 2014.


Following
Operation Cast Lead, the World Bank reported that
there had been severe damage to the water and sanitation
infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.


After
Operation Protective Edge in 2014, the UN reported that
more than 20,000 Palestinian homes, 148 schools and 60 healthcare
centers in Gaza were damaged or destroyed. Israel even
bombed a
disability center at the time. Gaza has no air force, no air
defenses, and no substantive military to defend its people.

While
most pro-Israeli pundits would point to Hamas rocket fire as an
excuse for the interventions, the truth on the ground tells a
different story.


The
Submission to the United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry on
the 2014 Gaza Conflict, published
by Truthout,
quite clearly demonstrates that Israeli airstrikes and ground
attacks preceded Hamas
rocket fire; and that Hamas rocket-fire had been nonexistent since
Israel’s previous assault in 2012. In other words, Hamas had been
abiding by its terms of the ceasefire —
even while Israel had been starving Gaza of basic human rights, as
argued and outlined above.


Further,
in July 2014, The
Guardian published a
blog by investigative journalist Nafeez Ahmed, which claimed Israel’s
brutal assault on Gaza in 2014 was rooted in a desire to control
Palestinian gas off the coast of Gaza and had nothing to do with
concerns about Hamas rocket fire. The
Guardian axed
his blog
not long after.

The
Jerusalem debacle

Israel modus
operandi has
been to attack Gaza by punishing the civilian population with these
heavy sanctions affecting its basic life necessities. It is almost as
if the Israeli government has been attempting to provoke a response
from the Gaza Strip, which could then be used again to justify yet
another intervention — given it has been proven that Israel has
lied about its stated reasons for intervention in the past. This
response, however, never came in the form that Israel might have
hoped for.


U.S.
President Donald Trump’s decision to unilaterally declare Jerusalem
the capital of Israel, inflaming an already tense situation, was the
political icing on the cake of Palestinian suffering. Regardless of
one’s views on the Israel-Palestine conflict, which continues to
divide people all along the political spectrum, the fact remains that
this decision alone pushed an already volatile situation to a point
of outright violence. According
to Reuters,
since Trump’s infamous decision, at least 13 Palestinians have been
killed in clashes with Israeli forces.


Further,
it wasn’t long after Trump’s announcement that Israel
began resuming
air strikes in
the Gaza Strip. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come in the
not-too-distant future. While tensions are heating up between Israel
and Syria, Lebanon and Iran, it has been largely overlooked that
Hamas and Israel are preparing for an imminent
war even
as we speak.



Gaza
in crisis

In
2015, the UN predicted that
Gaza would become uninhabitable by 2020. Not pulling any punches, the
UN concedes the cause of this crisis is based on two important
factors: Israeli military operations and the decades-long blockade
that has crippled Gaza’s economy and infrastructure. Reportedly,
Gaza has an unemployment
rate of some 50 percent,
the highest unemployment
rate in the world,
with a youth unemployment rate of at least 60
percent.


According
to The
New York Times,
UN officials are warning that Gaza is facing a total collapse. Rather
than exporting some much-needed freedom, human rights and democracy,
the Trump administration instead announced that it would withhold $65
million from UNRWA — vital money required for providing basic
necessities for some 1.2 million Palestinians in Gaza. The Times also
wrote:

Still,
whether out of bluster or desperation, Gazans both in and out of
power have begun talking openly about confronting Israel over its
blockade in the kind of mass action that could easily lead to
casualties and escalation.”

No
matter how one cuts it, whether Israel has been intentionally trying
to elicit a response from Gaza or not, the fact remains that the
Israeli government is intentionally pursuing a long list of policies
that will almost certainly lead to a hostile escalation, as the
international community continues to turn a blind eye to the everyday
suffering of the Palestinian people. Israeli policies indeed border
on a systematic genocide that will, if unchecked, completely erode
the Gaza Strip to nothingness in just a few short years.

Nadat de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël in augustus vorig jaar al 2 scholen op de West Bank heeft vernietigd, scholen die waren gebouwd met EU subsidie gelden (ook van ons belastinggeld), heeft dit barbaarse geteisem afgelopen zondag 2 lokalen van een bedoeïenen school met de grond gelijk gemaakt. Dit kan niet anders gezien worden dan een ernstige vorm van staatsterreur!! (een vorm van terreur, waarmee Israël na de VS op de tweede plaats komt….)

De verdomde Oslo akkoorden zijn er verantwoordelijk voor dat de illegale bezetting van grote delen van de West Bank onder Israëlisch militair en civiel bestuur staan….. Zoals te verwachten was: Palestijnen die daar al eeuwen wonen hebben sindsdien totaal geen rechten meer en elk bouwwerk dat men wil bouwen wordt afgekeurd en als het dan toch gebouwd wordt, sloopt men het ‘eenvoudig’ zoals afgelopen zondag……

Met de regelmaat van de klok worden overigens ook Nederlandse projecten door de Israëliërs gesloopt….. Ook onder PvdA hufter Timmermans en zijn opvolger, partijcollega jaknikker Koenders op Buitenlandse Zaken, werden een aantal Nederlandse projecten gesloopt door de Israëlische fascisten……. Na zo’n gebeurtenis zegt men op Buitenlandse Zaken steevast woedend en verontrust te zijn, echter actie werd en wordt er niet ondernomen, dat zou het ‘vredesproces’ maar in gevaar brengen…….* ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Welk ‘vredesproces?’ De langzaam maar zekere doorgevoerde etnische zuivering van Palestijnen uit de illegaal door Israël bezette gebieden en de rest van het gestolen land Israël (beter gezegd: Palestina)??!!!

The
United Nations warned that Palestinians and Beduin in Area C were at
risk of forced transfer by Israel after the IDF demolished two
illegally built elementary school classrooms in the West Bank Beduin
community of Abu
Nuwar just
outside of Jerusalem.

Israel
must “immediately cease all practices that are directly or
indirectly generating a risk of forcible transfer for Palestinians in
various parts of the West Bank, including the destruction of schools
and related property,” Roberto Valent, the UN’s acting
humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory,
said. “Abu Nuwar is one of the most vulnerable communities in need
of humanitarian assistance in the occupied West Bank,” he said.
Sunday’s demolition marked the sixth IDF demolition or confiscation
in Abu Nuwar in the last two years, Valent said.

“A
combination of Israeli policies and practices – including
demolitions and restricted access to basic services, such as
education – have created a coercive environment that violates the
human rights of residents,” Valent added. The two modular
classrooms that housed 25 third and fourth grade pupils were built in
September with funds from the European Union. Another building at the
school services 72 pupils in kindergarten, first and second grades.
Tensions run high between Israel and the EU over its funding of
illegal Palestinian and Beduin modular structures in Area C of the
West Bank….
