De
laatste 2 decennia zijn er meer dan 4.000 vrouwen en meisjes behorend tot de
oorspronkelijke volkeren en/of met een LGBT achtergrond
vermoord en verdwenen in Canada…… Ondanks dat de Canadese
regering meermaals is gewaarschuwd actie te ondernemen is dit niet
gebeurd…..
Het
Truth and Reconciliation Committee (waarheid en verzoeningscommissie)
van Canada heeft één en ander geconcludeerd na een 3 jarig
onderzoek. Goed dat deze cijfers boven tafel zijn gekomen, al stellen
deskundigen dat er veel meer vrouwen en meisjes moeten zijn vermoord
dan wel ‘verdwenen…….’
Het
rapport maakt onder meer duidelijk dat de oorspronkelijke volkeren
van Canada (‘indianen’) nog steeds te maken hebben met geweld van de
overheid, nadat middels een genocide een enorm aantal van deze mensen
zijn vermoord. Aandacht verder voor de door de Canadese regering
afgedwongen en gelegaliseerde ontvoering van kinderen behorend tot de
oorspronkelijke volkeren, waar deze kinderen op internaten van de
overheid werden misbruikt door het personeel……
Verder werden deze volkeren onderworpen aan seksueel geweld, gedwongen
sterilisaties,gebrek
aan toegang tot de gezondheidszorg, massale voedselonveiligheid,
dakloosheid en het actief wissen van de cultuur van deze
mensen…….
De
hoogste tijd dat de oorspronkelijke volkeren eindelijk serieus
worden genomen en dat de witte kolonisator met de vieze poten
afblijft van de te kleine gebieden die deze volkeren werden
toegewezen tot pakweg eind 19de eeuw…… De hoogste tijd ook dat de Canadese overheid actie onderneemt op de moorden, verkrachtingen en ‘verdwijningen’ van vrouwen en meisjes behorend tot de oorspronkelijke volkeren…. Je kan dan ook stellen dat er nog steeds geen eind aan de genocide op deze volkeren is gekomen, iets dat ook alle oorspronkelijke volkeren in Latijns-Amerika meemaken…..
Neem bijvoorbeeld de coup die onlangs plaatsvond tegen de Boliviaanse president Evo Morales, de eerste president behorend tot de meerderheid van de oorspronkelijke bevolking van dat land, waar nu een reli-fascist, behorend tot de witte rijke minderheid met actieve hulp van de VS en steun van de rest van het westen als juntaleider fungeert…. (de CIA organiseerde en regisseerde de opstand en de coup tegen de democratisch gekozen president Morales….)
Wat betreft de oorspronkelijke volkeren in de drie Amerika’s, hoeft er maar olie te worden gevonden, of men heeft een
oliepijpleiding ‘nodig’ over het land van deze mensen en hun rechten
op het aan hen toegewezen land worden verkwanseld door de inhumane neoliberale
regeringen in Ottowa of Washington (DC) en de meeste regeringshoofdsteden in Latijns-Amerika…….

The
country’s Truth and Reconciliation Committee spent three years
investigating the terrifying number of murdered and missing
Indigenous women and girls, and its work culminated in the release of
a damning report. According to the Committee, there
is currently an ongoing “Canadian genocide” against
Indigenous women and members of the LGBTQ community.
From
the evidence they could collect, the Committee found that far more
than 4,000 Indigenous people have been murdered or “disappeared”
in the past few decades. But the true toll and number of victims will
likely never be known. Canadian
authorities must take action to stop this genocide, now!
The
more than 1,200-page-long report details the horrors still being
inflicted upon the Indigenous community, even today. These include
Canada’s former practice of forcibly sending thousands of Indigenous
children to government-sponsored residential schools, where
they were abused for decades. On
top of that, Canada’s First Nation peoples have also endured
abductions, sexual violence, forced sterilizations, lack of medical
access, mass food insecurity, homelessness, and active cultural
erasure.
Thankfully,
the document also includes 231 specific recommendations on how the
Canadian government can both begin to make amends for these heinous
crimes and to stop them once and for all.
It
is time to put an end to the centuries of mistreatment of Canada’s
First Nations peoples!
Een
anonieme Duitse veiligheidsanalist heeft zijn beroep gebruikt om een
analyse te maken van de coup in Bolivia, een analyse in de vorm van lessen voor de toekomst, die de moeite
van het lezen meer dan waard zijn. Andrea Lobo heeft e.e.a. aangevuld en op schrift gezet voor Moon of Alabama.
De VS valt keer op keer regimes aan die haar niet
aanstaan, dit middels een coup, of opstand, dan wel middels leugens over
verkiezingsuitslagen of smerige leugens over de president of premier om deze aan de
kant te krijgen, mocht het niet snel genoeg gaan kan de VS besluiten een inval in zo’n land te doen, dan wel politie en leger onder druk te zetten hun regering af te zetten, uiteraard met hulp van de VS……
Het laatst genoemde scenario is duidelijk ook in Bolivia gebruikt. De Duitse analist geeft in 4 lessen weer wat geleerd kan worden van de coup in Bolivia als het gaat om het aan het bewind komen van een socialistische partij en hoe deze situatie te handhaven.
Les één
is te zorgen voor de ‘eliminatie’ van de tegenstanders, ofwel zorg
dat je tegenstanders geen macht hebben over, dan wel hoog in de top
zitten van leger en politie. In het artikel hieronder wordt gesteld
een guillotine mee te nemen, al zal dat zeker figuurlijk zijn
bedoeld. In les één zit meteen les twee: zorg als sociale beweging
dat je je letterlijk goed kan verdedigen en dat doe je het best door
de instituties die door je voorgangers zijn opgezet te hervormen en
dan moet je zoals te verwachten was na punt één, vooral aan leger en politie denken.
Les
drie: zorg als sociale beweging dat je nooit banden hebt met
organisaties als de Organisatie van Amerikaanse Staten (OAS) in Latijns-Amerika daar die in feite geleid wordt door de VS, dat zelfs 60% van de kosten voor deze organisatie betaalt.
Extra belangrijk is ook te zorgen dat in leger en politie geen
figuren zitten die zijn opgeleid en daarmee werden geïndoctrineerd in/door de VS. (veel militairen en zelfs politieagenten van staten die vriendschappelijke banden onderhouden met de VS, worden opgeleid in dat gestolen land)
Les
vier: zorg dat je als beweging een stem (in het publieke debat) hebt
en zorg dat je een stem hebt in lokale, regionale, landelijke en
internationale media. Zet voorts zelf een mediaorgaan op, zoals politieke
partijen hun eigen website hebben, echter als socialistische beweging/partij moet je verder gaan en zelf een krant opzetten, plus een radio en tv station op poten zetten.
Het voorgaande daar machtige partijen altijd
worden gesteund door de reguliere media en elke socialistische
beweging afmaken als smerig en ongezond…… Zie wat er met Jeremy Corbyn is gebeurd en gebeurt in Groot-Brittannië, zo verguisd door o.a. de zogenaamd onafhankelijke BBC dat trouwe partijleden van Labour zeggen dat hij antisemitisch en communistisch is, terwijl hij z’n leven lang al vecht tegen antisemitisme….. (al helemaal belachelijk dat hij zelfs wordt uitgemaakt voor communist, een leugen die je gezien zijn verleden al evenzo snel kan doorprikken*) Jammer dat alleen de sociale media het
voor hem opnemen, maar dat is dan ook precies de makke bij deze les,
de massamedia zijn er vooral om de huidige inhumane en ijskoude neoliberalistische status quo te bewaken en te propageren……
Niet
voor niets ook dat de reguliere westerse media zo’n grote bek hebben
over fake news en manipulaties, terwijl zij zich daar zelf keer op keer schuldig
aan maken en daarvoor zijn vele meters aan archieven als bewijs te
vinden, neem alleen al de verslaggeving in aanloop naar, en het verslag van de illegale
oorlogen die de VS deze eeuw is begonnen….. De smerige truc nu is
dat men de alternatieve nieuwsmedia beschuldigt vals spel te spelen, daar ze ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws) zouden brengen…….. Terwijl de alternatieve echt onafhankelijke sociale nieuwsmedia de waarheid vertellen, zoals de verslaggeving in die media over hoe de reguliere (massa-) media in aanloop van en tijdens de illegale oorlogen van de VS ronduit propaganda brengen, iets dat je simpel kan bewijzen, gezien de leugens die men in de reguliere media gebruikt……
Het verschijnsel ‘fake news’ werd eerst geplakt op berichten waarvan iedere imbeciel kan weten dat het kul is, echter nadat de alternatieve nieuwsmedia steeds meer bezoekers kregen en de reguliere media steeds minder lezers/kijkers/luisteraars trokken, begon men het etiket ‘fake news’ op die alternatieve nieuwsmedia te plakken….. (twee vliegen in één klap, zo kon men in de reguliere media en de politiek, kritiek op politici in de alternatieve nieuwsmedia afdoen als desinformatie of fake news….)
Schande dan ook hoe men in de reguliere media de coup in Bolivia heeft afgedaan als het opstappen van Evo Morales, waarbij men nalaat te vertellen dat het grootste deel van het Boliviaanse volk van de oorspronkelijke bevolking afstamt en dat deze meerderheid tot het aantreden van Morales altijd werd onderdrukt door de witte minderheid, een situatie die met deze coup is hersteld en het hele westen wat betreft politiek en reguliere media vinden het allemaal prima…….
Morales had de verkiezingen met gemak gewonnen, maar door belachelijke manipulaties doet men nu net of dit niet zo is, terwijl de oorspronkelijke bevolking els één mens achter hem staat…….
Niets in de reguliere westerse media over de razzia’s waarmee de door de VS geparachuteerde junta aanhangers van Morales oppakt en gevangenzet, waarbij gevreesd moet worden voor het leven van deze mensen, schande!!!!!

Lessons
To Learn From The Coup In Bolivia
The
coup in Bolivia is devastating for the majority of the people in that
country. Are their lessons to be learnt from it?
Bolivian
president Evo Morales of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) party
was forced to resign Sunday evening by the Bolivian military in a
coup backed by the United States. Last night, Morales tweeted that he
is “leaving for Mexico” after that country agreed to grant him
asylum.
After
three weeks of protests following the disputed October 20
presidential elections, the imperialist powers and their Bolivian
client elite have overthrown the government of Morales. In the
context of a deepening crisis of global capitalism and a resurgence
of the class struggle internationally, including recent mass strikes
among miners and doctors in Bolivia, the ruling class lost confidence
that Morales and the MAS apparatus can continue to suppress social
opposition.
During
his twelve years in office Evo Morales achieved
quite a lot of
good things:

But
Morales failed to build the defenses that are necessary to make such
changes permanent. The leadership of the military and police stood
against him. Why were these men in such positions?

Agregados Policiales de América Latina (APALA) is supposed to fight
international organized crime in Latin America. It is curiously
hosted in Washington DC.
Morales
had clearly won a fourth term in the the October 20 elections. The
vote count was
confusing (pdf)
because it followed the process defined by the Organization of
American States:
The
[Tribunal Supremo Electoral, or TSE] has two vote-counting systems.
The first is a quick count known as the Transmisión de Resultados
Electorales Preliminares (TREP, hereafter referred to as the quick
count). This is a system that Bolivia and several other Latin
American countries have implemented following OAS recommendations. It
was implemented for the 2019 election by a private company in
conjunction with the Servicio de Registro Cívico (SERECÍ), the
civil registry service, and is designed to deliver a swift —but
incomplete and not definitive- result on the night of the elections
to give the media an indication of the voting tendency and to inform
the public.
The
early and incomplete numbers let it seem that Morales had not won the
10% lead he needed to avert a second round of voting. The rural
districts in which Morales has high support are usually late to
report results and were not included. The complete results showed
that Morales had won more than the 10% lead he needed to avoid a
runoff.

Eventually,
the official count was released: Morales won in the first round
47.08% to 36.51%. If you had been watching the polls before the
election, 5 out of 6 of them predicted the same result. Weird to have

To
allege false election results to instigate color revolutions or coups
is a typical instrument of U.S. interference. In 2009 Mahmoud
Ahmedinejad won his
second term in the Iranian presidential elections. The U.S. supported
oppositions raised a ruckus even as the results fit perfectly with
previous polling.
The
OAS which recommended the quick count scheme that allows for such
manipulations receives 60% of its budget from Washington DC.
Army
generals appearing on television to demand the resignation and arrest
of an elected civilian head of state seems like a textbook example of
a coup. And yet that is certainly not how corporate media are
presenting the weekend’s events in Bolivia.
No
establishment outlet framed the action as a coup; instead, President
Evo Morales “resigned” (ABC
News, 11/10/19),
amid widespread “protests” (CBS
News, 11/10/19)
from an “infuriated population” (New
York Times, 11/10/19)
angry at the “election fraud” (Fox
News, 11/10/19)
of the “full-blown dictatorship” (Miami
Herald, 11/9/19).
When the word “coup” is used at all, it comes only as an
accusation from Morales or another official from his government,
which corporate media have been demonizing since his election in 2006
(FAIR.org, 5/6/09, 8/1/12, 4/11/19).
Evo
Morales found asylum in Mexico. Bolivia will now turn into a
neoliberal hell and a quasi-dictatorship. It will take time, a lot of
effort and probably a civil war to regain what was lost through this
coup.
What
can one learn from this?
As
one person remarked to me: “When one wants to win and keep a
socialist revolution one has to bring guillotines.”
Socialist
movements who come into power must neutralize their biggest local
enemies. They need to build their own defenses. They can not rely on
those institutions, like the military and police, they inherit from
previous regimes.
Such
movements must never rely on U.S. affiliated organizations like the
OAS or on military and police personal that had come under U.S.
indoctrination.
A
movement needs a public voice. It must build its own media locally
and internationally.
Hugo
Chavez knew this all this. As soon as he won the presidential
election in Venezuela he built the necessary forces to defend the
state. It is the only reason why his successor Nicolás Maduro
defeated the coup attempt against him and is still in power. Evo
Morales unfortunately failed to follow that path.

* Uiteraard wordt met communisme in de reguliere media het zogenaamde communisme bedoeld als in de voormalige Sovjet-Unie en zoals men deze noemt als het om China en Noord-Korea gaat, echter dat was en zijn geen communistische regimes. De Sovjet-Unie was en China plus Noord-Korea zijn politiestaten. Waar je bij China zou kunnen zeggen dat het een verlichte dictatuur is zoals de Sovjet-Unie dat was onder Gorbatsjov. Een echt communistisch bewind heeft voor zover we weten nooit bestaan, al komen de eerste christengemeenschappen in de buurt van communistisch geleide gemeenschappen.
‘VS vermoordde meer dan 20 miljoen mensen sinds het einde van WOII……..‘ Tot het jaar 2000, waar deze eeuw intussen al meer dan 2,5 miljoen moorden aan toe zijn te voegen, moorden begaan door de VS en de NAVO (deze terreurorganisatie stond en staat onder militair opperbevel stond de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…)….
Een dag voor het debat in de Kamer over het debacle in Hawija, waar Nederlandse F-16’s een groot aantal doden hebben gemaakt*, werd bekend gemaakt dat Nederland zich alweer in een VS wespennest steekt, dit keer in de Straat van Hormuz, waar de VS ruzie zoekt met Iran……
Ofwel ondanks dat Nederland meedeed aan de illegale oorlogen van de VS tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, maakt Nederland zich op voor wellicht de volgende illegale oorlog, die tegen Iran….. Rechtse oorlogshitsers als Bernard Hammelburg van BNR en het Haags Centrum voor Strategische Studies (HCSS) bewerken het Nederlandse volk intussen al met leugens als zou Iran een desastreus economisch beleid hebben gevoerd, waarbij het meer oog heeft voor Hezbollah en Syrië dan voor de noden van het volk……
Het voorgaande terwijl iedere imbeciel kan weten dat de economie in Iran er slecht voorstaat door de illegale sancties die de VS dit land heeft opgelegd en de dreiging van de VS dat ieder bedrijf dat zaken durft te doen met Iran ook getroffen zal worden door de ‘toorn van de VS.’ (lees: de terreur van de VS) Op zeker dat als in Venezuela, waar al dik meer dan 40.000 mensen zijn overleden door illegale VS sancties, ook in Iran al honderden of zelfs duizenden doden moeten zijn te betreuren (zoals gewoonlijk jonge kinderen**, chronisch patiënten en ouderen….)
Hammelburg spreekt in zijn columns of lulpraatjes altijd over de moellahs van Iran, die het land met ijzeren hand zouden regeren, terwijl die moellahs nog maar weinig te vertellen hebben, zeker in de steden heeft men lak aan veel religieuze voorschriften als de verplichting een sluier te dragen die al het haar moet bedekken, overigens ook andere kledingvoorschriften worden al lang niet meer gevolgd door een groot deel van de relatief jonge bevolking….. Wel moet niet vergeten worden dat de machinaties van de VS en een aantal andere westerse landen in de buurt van Iran, de ‘moellahs’ inderdaad weer volop aan de macht kunnen helpen…… En die jongeren? Die zullen zich bij een oorlog van het westen tegen hun land achter diezelfde moellahs scharen, daar ze weten wat die westerse terreur aan chaos en ellende teweeg kan brengen in hun land…….
Hammelburg en anderen wijzen ook keer op keer naar de demonstraties in Iran tegen het beleid van de regering, terwijl de VS al lang heeft toegegeven dat de CIA deze demonstraties e.d. organiseert in Iran, om zo een verandering van regime door te kunnen drukken…..
Nu gaat Nederland dus alweer meedoen aan een heel gevaarlijk spel van de VS, zogenaamd onder Frans opperbevel om vooral het volk niet te laten denken dat Nederland inderdaad weer gaat meedoen aan VS terreur….. Er zijn totaal geen bewijzen dat Iran de tankers in de Golf van Oman heeft aangevallen, maar het land heeft wel volkomen terecht een olietanker opgebracht, die een vissersboot heeft overvaren in de Straat van Hormuz, een tanker die zonder enige hulp te verlenen probeerde door te varen….. Deze actie wordt door figuren als Hammelburg al gezien als een oorlogsdaad……
Kortom: weer wordt ons belastinggeld misbruikt voor VS terreur…….
** Eind 90er jaren werden er 500.000 kinderen vermoord door de illegale sancties van de VS tegen Irak, dit onder verantwoording van hare kwaadaardigheid en oorlogsmisdadiger Albright, minister van BuZa onder oorlogsmisdadiger Bill Clinton….. Duivel Albright durfde een paar jaar geleden nog te zeggen dat de dood van die 500.000 kinderen de moeite waard zijn geweest…… Het klerewijf zou opgepakt moeten worden door het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) om veroordeeld te worden wegens ernstige misdaden tegen de menselijkheid, waarna ze nooit meer losgelaten zou mogen worden!!
Afgelopen
donderdag was het 56 jaar geleden dat VS president John F. Kennedy werd vermoord
in Dallas, Texas. Information Clearing House (ICH) bracht gisteren
een toespraak die John F. Kennedy (JFK) op 10 juni 1963 hield op de American
University in Washington (D.C.) en waarin hij stelde
dat vrede het belangrijkste onderwerp is op aarde vrede. Niets tegen
in te brengen zou je zeggen, totdat je de hele toespraak op je laat
inwerken en dan kan je maar tot één conclusie komen: ook JFK was een
enorme hypocriet (ook al was hij m.i. een beter president dan alle na
hem aangetreden presidenten.
Hypocrisie
als stellen dat vrede het belangrijkste onderwerp is op aarde,
terwijl de VS de ene oorlog na de andere begon, hoe vaak Kennedy ook
stelde dat elk land op zijn/haar manier het volk kan dienen, de
praktijk zag er ook destijds geheel anders uit….. Kennedy stelde
dat hij geen voorstander was van een Pax-Americana, terwijl
de VS volkeren knechtte en knecht als zij tegen de (economische)
belangen van de VS handelden en handelen….. (ofwel weinig verschil met de Pax Romana, waar de VS tegenwoordig inderdaad een imperium is….) De VS die democratisch gekozen
leiders afzet en dictators parachuteerde en parachuteert en dat niet
zelden ten koste van veel mensenlevens……
Het
woord vrijheid valt meermaals in de lezing van Kennedy, echter wat is
vrijheid in de VS als je geen werk hebt en je afhankelijk bent van
voedselbonnen, waar je dure medicatie kan vergeten als je kanker hebt
daar je niet of niet voldoende verzekerd bent? Wat is vrijheid als je
2 banen nodig hebt om rond te kunnen komen ? (veel voorkomend in de
VS, al moet ik zeggen dat het er tijdens JFK wel wat beter uitzag
voor de grote onderlaag van de VS maatschappij) Wat is vrijheid als
je alleen al door je kleur op afstand staat en je vanwege je kleur
wordt gediscrimineerd? (vergeet niet dat er onder Kennedy nog steeds
apartheid bestond in de VS….)
JFK
stelt dat hij niet van een alomvattende vrede en in de goede wil van de mens
gelooft dat is voor fantasieën en fanatiekelingen…… Ja, als
je een alomvattende vrede nastreeft ben je een fanatiekeling, niet
als je als land: -overal en nergens met veel geweld ingrijpt,
-geheime dodelijke militaire missies uitvoert, -verkiezingen
manipuleert, -opstanden organiseert en ga nog maar even door…..)
Als je ziet wat de VS vanaf haar oprichting heeft gedaan en doet op het gebied van buitenlandbeleid, staat dat in schril contrast tot vrede en de goede wil van de
mens…..
Echte
vrede moet volgens JFK door vele naties worden nagestreefd en vrede
is niet statisch maar dynamisch, vrede is een proces, een manier
om geschillen op te lossen….. Lullig dan toch weer dat de VS
precies doet wat JFK niet wenselijk acht: geschillen worden door de
VS ‘opgelost’ met: -sancties waarbij grote aantallen mensen omkomen
(vooral kinderen, zwakkeren en ouderen), -staatsgrepen en -illegale
oorlogen……
Vrede is
niet onuitvoerbaar en oorlog is niet onvermijdelijk, zo stelde JFK in
zijn lezing, volgens hem moet de VS volkeren leiden om dat in te
zien….. Ik zal niet lachen, maar nogmaals: de VS is vooral goed in
het volkeren bijbrengen wat de VS verstaat onder vrede, door geweld
te gebruiken, ofwel oorlog voeren om zogenaamde democratische vrede
te brengen en zoals gezegd regelmatig door democratisch gekozen
regeringsleiders ten val te brengen en daar een trouwe lakei van de
VS in de vorm van een dictator te parachuteren…..*
Over
kernwapens stelt Kennedy dat het geld daarvoor beter uitgegeven kan
worden aan sociale programma’s, voor ziektebestrijding en de
bestrijding van armoede….. Lullig dan dat vooral de VS groots heeft
ingezet op kernbewapening en dat Rusland en China in feite niet
anders konden doen dan te volgen, zeker gezien de agressie van de VS,
vanaf haar illegale oprichting (op gestolen grond van de
oorspronkelijke bevolking die middels een genocide werd gedecimeerd)
Kennedy wees op de bemoeienissen van de VS met Afrika en Azië, dit om communistische invloed tegen te gaan, waar de VS in werkelijkheid een neokoloniaal bewind voerde (en voert) en ondanks al het geblaat in de VS over corruptie, deze elders juist in stand hield (en nog houdt)… Corrupte was en is tenslotte goed voor het grote bedrijfsleven….. Neokolonialisme, waar Kennedy stelde dat de Sovjet-Unie juist haar (‘verderfelijke’, Ap) invloed uitbreidde…..
Te zot

President
Anderson, members of the faculty, board of trustees, distinguished
guests, my old colleague, Senator Bob Byrd, who has earned his degree
through many years of attending night law school, while I am earning
mine in the next 30 minutes, ladies and gentlemen:
It
is with great pride that I participate in this ceremony of the
American University, sponsored by the Methodist Church, founded by
Bishop John Fletcher Hurst, and first opened by President Woodrow
Wilson in 1914. This is a young and growing university, but it has
already fulfilled Bishop Hurst’s enlightened hope for the study of
history and public affairs in a city devoted to the making of history
and to the conduct of the public’s business. By sponsoring this
institution of higher learning for all who wish to learn, whatever
their color or their creed, the Methodists of this area and the
Nation deserve the Nation’s thanks, and I commend all those who are
today graduating.
Professor
Woodrow Wilson once said that every man sent out from a university
should be a man of his nation as well as a man of his time, and I am
confident that the men and women who carry the honor of graduating
from this institution will continue to give from their lives, from
their talents, a high measure of public service and public support.
“There
are few earthly things more beautiful than a university,” wrote
John Masefield, in his tribute to English universities, and his words
are equally true today. He did not refer to spires and towers, to
campus greens and ivied walls. He admired the splendid beauty of the
university, he said, because it was “a place where those who
hate ignorance may strive to know, where those who perceive truth may
strive to make others see.”
I
have, therefore, chosen this time and this place to discuss a topic
on which ignorance too often abounds and the truth is too rarely
perceived, yet it is the most important topic on earth: world
peace.
What
kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax
Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the
peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about
genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth
living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and
to build a better life for their children, not merely peace for
Americans but peace for all men and women, not merely peace in our
time but peace for all time.
I
speak of peace because of the new face of war. Total war makes no
sense in an age when great powers can maintain large and relatively
invulnerable nuclear forces and refuse to surrender without resort to
those forces. It makes no sense in an age when a single nuclear
weapon contains almost ten times the explosive force delivered by all
of the allied air forces in the Second World War. It makes no sense
in an age when the deadly poisons produced by a nuclear exchange
would be carried by wind and water and soil and seed to the far
corners of the glove and to generations yet unborn.
Today
the expenditure of billions of dollars every year of weapons acquired
for the purpose of making sure we never need to use them is essential
to keeping the peace. But surely the acquisition of such idle
stockpiles — which can only destroy and never create — is not the
only, much less the most efficient, means of assuring peace. I speak
of peace, therefore, as the necessary rational end of rational men. I
realize that the pursuit of peace is not as dramatic as the pursuit
of war and frequently the words of the pursuer fall on deaf ears. But
we have no more urgent task.
Some
say that it is useless to speak of world peace or world law or world
disarmament and that it will be useless until the leaders of the
Soviet Union adopt a more enlightened attitude. I hope they do. I
believe we can help them do it. But I also believe that we must
reexamine our own attitude — as individuals and as a Nation — for
our attitude is as essential as theirs. And every graduate of this
school, every thoughtful citizen who despairs of war and wishes to
bring peace, should begin by looking inward — by examining his own
attitude toward the possibilities of peace, toward the Soviet Union,
toward the course of the cold war and toward freedom and peace here
at home.
First: Let us examine our attitude toward peace itself. Too many of
us think it is impossible. Too many think it unreal. But that is a
dangerous, defeatist belief. It leads to the conclusion that war is
inevitable — that mankind is doomed, that we are gripped by forces
we cannot control.
We
need not accept that view. Our problems are manmade, therefore,
they can be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No
problem of human destiny is beyond human beings. Man’s reason and
spirit have often solved the seemingly unsolvable and we believe they
can do it again.
I
am not referring to the absolute, infinite concept of universal peace
and good will of which some fantasies and fanatics dream. I do not
deny the value of hopes and dreams but we merely invite
discouragement and incredulity by making that our only and immediate
goal.
Let
us focus instead on a more practical, more attainable peace — based
not on a sudden revolution in human nature but on a gradual evolution
in human institutions, on a series of concrete actions and effective
agreements which are in the interest of all concerned. There is no
single, simple key to this peace, no grand or magic formula to be
adopted by one or two powers.
Genuine peace must be the product of
many nations, the sum of many acts. It must be dynamic, not static,
changing to meet the challenge of each new generation. For peace is a
process — a way of solving problems.
With
such a peace, there will still be quarrels and conflicting interests,
as there are within families and nations. World peace, like
community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbor; it
requires only that they live together in mutual tolerance, submitting
their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement. And history
teaches us that enmities between nations, as between individuals, do
not last forever. However our likes and dislikes may seem, the tide
of time and events will often bring surprising changes in the
relations between nations and neighbors.
So
let us persevere. Peace need not be impracticable, and war need not
be inevitable.By defining our goal more clearly, by making it
seem more manageable and less remote, we can help all peoples to see
it, to draw hope from it, and to move irresistibly toward it.
Second:
Let us reexamine our attitude toward the Soviet Union. It is
discouraging to think that their leaders may actually believe what
their propagandists write. It is discouraging to read a recent
authoritative Soviet text on Military Strategy and find, on page
after page, wholly baseless and incredible claims such as the
allegation that “American imperialist circles are preparing to
unleash different types of wars … that there is a very real threat
of a preventive war being unleashed by American imperialists against
the Soviet Union … [and that] the political aims of the American
imperialists are to enslave economically and politically the European
and other capitalist countries … [and] to achieve world domination
… by means of aggressive wars.”
Truly,
as it was written long ago: “The wicked flee when no man
pursueth.” Yet it is sad to read these Soviet statements — to
realize the extent of the gulf between us. But it is also a warning
— a warning to the American people not to fall into the same trap
as the Soviets, not to see only a distorted and desperate view of the
other side, not to see conflict as inevitable, accommodation as
impossible, and communication as nothing more than an exchange of
threats.
No
government or social system is so evil that its people must be
considered as lacking in virtue. As Americans, we find communism
profoundly repugnant as a negation of personal freedom and dignity.
But we can still hail the Russian people for their many achievements
— in science and space, in economic and industrial growth, in
culture and in acts of courage.
Among
the many traits the peoples of our two countries have in common, none
is stronger than our mutual abhorrence of war. Almost unique, among
the major world powers, we have never been at war with each other.
And no nation in the history of battle ever suffered more than the
Soviet Union suffered in the course of the Second World War. At least
20 million lost their lives. Countless millions of homes and farms
were burned or sacked. A third of the nation’s territory, including
nearly two thirds of its industrial base, was turned into a wasteland
— a loss equivalent to the devastation of this country east of
Chicago.
Today,
should total war ever break out again no matter how our two countries
would become the primary targets. It is an ironic but accurate fact
that the two strongest powers are the two in the most danger of
devastation. All we have built, all we have worked for, would be
destroyed in the first 24 hours. And even in the cold war, which
brings burdens and dangers to so many countries, including this
Nation’s closest allies our two countries bear the heaviest burdens. For we are both devoting massive sums of money to weapons that
could be better devoted to combating ignorance, poverty, and disease.
We are both caught up in a vicious and dangerous cycle in which
suspicion on one side breeds suspicion on the other, and new weapons
beget counterweapons.
In
short, both the United States and its allies, and the Soviet Union
and its allies, have a mutually deep interest in a just and genuine
peace and in halting the arms race. Agreements to this end are in
the interests of the Soviet Union as well as ours, and even the most
hostile nations can be relied upon to accept and keep those treaty
obligations, and only those treaty obligations, which are in their
own interest. So, let us not be blind to our differences, but let us
also direct attention to our common interests and to the means by
which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our
differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity.
For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all
inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all
cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.
Third:
Let us reexamine our attitude toward the cold war, remembering that
we are not engaged in a debate, seeking to pile up debating points. We are not here distributing blame or pointing the finger of
judgment. We must deal with the world as it is, and not as it
might have been had the history of the last 18 years been different.
We
must, therefore, persevere in the search for peace in the hope that
constructive changes within the Communist bloc might bring within
reach solutions which now seem beyond us. We must conduct our affairs
in such a way that it becomes in the Communist’s interest to agree on
a genuine peace. Above all, while defending our own vital
interests, nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which
bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a
nuclear war. To adopt that kind of course in the nuclear age would be
evidence only of the bankruptcy of our policy — or of a collective
death — wish for the world. To secure these ends, America’s
weapons are nonprovocative, carefully controlled, designed to deter,
and capable of selective use. Our military forces are committed to
peace and disciplined in self-restraint. Our diplomats are
instructed to avoid unnecessary irritants and purely rhetorical
hostility.
For
we can seek a relaxation of tensions without relaxing our guard. And,
for our part, we do not need to use threats to prove that we are
resolute. We do not need to jam foreign broadcasts out of fear our
faith will be eroded. We are unwilling to impose our system on any
unwilling people, but we are willing and able to engage in peaceful
competition with any people on earth.
Meanwhile,
we seek to strengthen the United Nations, to help solve its financial
problems, to make it a more effective instrument for peace, to
develop it into a genuine world security system — a system capable
of resolving disputes on the basis of law, of insuring the security
of the large and the small, and of creating conditions under which
arms can finally be abolished. At the same time we seek to keep
peace inside the non-Communist world, where many nations, all of them
our friends, are divided over issues which weaken Western unity,
which invite Communist intervention or which threaten to erupt into
war. Our efforts in West New Guinea, in the Congo, in the Middle
East, and in the Indian sub continent, have been persistent and
patient despite criticism from both sides. We have also tried to
set an example for others by seeking to adjust small but significant
differences with our own closest neighbors in Mexico and in Canada.
Speaking
of other nations, I wish to make one point clear. We are bound to
many nations by alliances. Those alliances exist because our concern
and theirs substantially overlap. Our commitment to defend Western
Europe and West Berlin, for example, stands undiminished because of
the identity of our vital interests. The United States will make no
deal with the Soviet Union at the expense of other nations and other
peoples, not merely because they are our partners, but also because
their interests and ours converge.
Our
interests converge, however, not only in defending the frontiers of
freedom, but in pursuing the paths of peace. It is our hope — and
the purpose of allied policies — to convince the Soviet Union that
she, too, should let each nation choose its own future, so long as
that choice does not interfere with the choices of others. The
Communist drive to impose their political and economic system on
others is the primary cause of world tension today. For there can be
no doubt that, if all nations could refrain from interfering in the
self determination of others, the peace would be much more assured.
This
will require a new effort to achieve world law — a new context for
world discussions. It will require increased understanding between
the Soviets and ourselves. And increased understanding will require
increased contact and communication. One step in this direction is
the proposed arrangement for a direct line between Moscow and
Washington, to avoid on each side the dangerous delays,
misunderstandings, and misreadings of the other’s actions which might
occur at a time of crisis.
We
have also been talking in Geneva about other first-step measures of
arms control, designed to limit the intensity of the arms race and to
reduce the risks of accidental war. Our primary long-range interest
in Geneva, however, is general and complete disarmament designed to
take place by stages, permitting parallel political developments to
build the new institutions of peace which would take the place of
arms. The pursuit of disarmament has been an effort of this
Government since the 1920’s. It has been urgently sought by the past
three administrations. And however dim the prospects may be today, we
intend to continue this effort to continue it in order that all
countries, including our own, can better grasp what the problems and
possibilities of disarmament are.
The
one major area of these negotiations where the end is in sight, yet
where a fresh start is badly needed, is in a treaty to outlaw nuclear
tests. The conclusion of such a treaty, so near and yet so far, would
check the spiraling arms race in one of its most dangerous areas. It
would place the nuclear powers in a position to deal more effectively
with one of the greatest hazards which man faces in 1963, the further
spread of nuclear arms. It would increase our security — it would
decrease the prospects of war. Surely this goal is sufficiently
important to require our steady pursuit, yielding neither to the
temptation to give up the whole effort nor the temptation to give up
our insistence on vital and responsible safeguards. I am taking this
opportunity, therefore, to announce two important decisions in this
regard.
First:
Chairman Khrushchev, Prime Minister Macmillan, and I have agreed that
high-level discussions will shortly begin in Moscow looking toward
early agreement on a comprehensive test ban treaty. Our hopes must be
tempered with the caution of history but with our hopes go the hopes
of all mankind.
Second:
To make clear our good faith and solemn convictions on the matter, I
now declare that the United States does not propose to conduct
nuclear tests in the atmosphere so long as other states do not do so.
We will not be the first to resume. Such a declaration is no
substitute for a formal binding treaty, but I hope it will help us
achieve one. Nor would such a treaty be a substitute for disarmament,
but I hope it will help us achieve it.
Finally,
my fellow Americans, let us examine our attitude toward peace and
freedom here at home. The quality and spirit of our own society
must justify and support our efforts abroad. We must show it in
the dedication of our own lives, as many of you who are graduating
today will have a unique opportunity to do, by serving without pay in
the Peace Corps abroad or in the proposed National Service Corps here
at home.
But
wherever we are, we must all, in our daily lives, live up to the
age-old faith that peace and freedom walk together. In too many of
our cities today, the peace is not secure because freedom is
incomplete.
It
is the responsibility of the executive branch at all levels of
government — local, State, and National — to provide and protect
that freedom for all of our citizens by all means within their
authority. It is the responsibility of the legislative branch at all
levels, wherever that authority is not now adequate, to make it
adequate. And it is the responsibility of all citizens in all
sections of this country to respect the rights of all others and to
respect the law of the land.
All
this is not unrelated to world peace. “When a man’s ways please
the Lord,” the Scriptures tell us, “he maketh even his
enemies to be at peace with him.” And is not peace, in the
last analysis, basically a matter of human rights — the right to
live out our lives without fear of devastation, the right to breathe
air as nature provided it, the right of future generations to a
healthy existence?
While
we proceed to safeguard our national interests, let us also safeguard
human interests. And the elimination of war and arms is clearly in
the interest of both. No treaty, however much it may be to the
advantage of all, however tightly it may be worded, can provide
absolute security against the risks of deception and evasion. But it
can, if it is sufficiently effective in its enforcement and if it is
sufficiently in the interests of its signers, offer far more security
and far fewer risks than an unabated, uncontrolled, unpredictable
arms race.
The
United States, as the world knows, will never start a war. We do not
want a war. We do not now expect a war. This generation of
Americans has already had enough — more than enough — of war and
hate and oppression. We shall be prepared if others wish it. We shall
be alert to try to stop it. But we shall also do our part to build a
world of peace where the weak are safe and the strong are just. We
are not helpless before that task or hopeless of its success.
Confident and unafraid, we labor on, not toward a strategy of
annihilation but toward a strategy of peace.

De VS heeft de afgelopen meer dan tweehonderd jaar laten zien dat het schijt heeft aan de internationale rechtsregels en aan de mensenrechten, ook op eigen bodem, neem de genocide op de oorspronkelijke volkeren van Noord-Amerika (ook al bestaan die rechtsregels en rechten nog niet zo lang, is het logisch dat je je aan een fiks aantal regels hebt te houden, niet alleen als individu maar ook als staat!!)
Met deze uitspraak van Pompeo krijgt Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu een carte blanche om de hele West Bank te annexeren….. Als dat gebeurt zal men (politici en de reguliere media) in het westen niet spreken van een annexatie, zoals men dit daar wel doet over de aansluiting van De Krim bij Rusland, terwijl dat nu juist geen annexatie was, sterker nog dit volhouden is een smerige vorm van desinformatie en alleen gericht op het isoleren van Rusland….. De bewoners van De Krim (ook de oorspronkelijke bevolking) stemden in een referendum met een overgrote meerderheid voor die aansluiting bij Rusland, een referendum dat door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk en goed verlopen werd beoordeeld….. Vergeet nooit dat de aanleiding tot dat referendum een coup was tegen de, ook door de bewoners van De Krim, democratisch gekozen Oekraïense president Janoekovytsj…….
Eén ding is zeker, de uitlating van Pompeo betekent zonder meer een nog zwaardere verdrukking van het Palestijnse volk door de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël……. (fascistisch daar de Knesset de natiestaatwet heeft aangenomen…..)

Wallace schreef op CounterPunch een artikel over Bolivia waarbij
ze o.a. de woorden gebruikt van VS marinier Smedley Butler, die
tijdens zijn leven onder meer vocht in WOI en de Mexicaanse
revolutie. Deze marinier stelde later over zijn werk dat hij in feite
als misdadiger het werk opknapte voor het kapitalisme. Hij prikte de
leugens door die de VS, het bedrijfsleven en de financiële wereld gebruikten om staatsgrepen te plegen en oorlogen te voeren, leugens
waarmee het volk van de VS werd belazerd om zo algehele goedkeuring
te krijgen voor het vuile, bloedige buitenlandbeleid van de VS……
Wallece
stelt terecht dat Bolivia het laatste slachtoffer is van het smerige
kapitalistische spel van de VS zoals Smedley dat zag, al is
tegenwoordig de term neoliberalisme meer gebruikt, daar dit in feite
nog een paar stappen verder gaat dan het vermaledijde
kapitalisme…….
Khadaffi
en Hoessein worden genoemd als slachtoffer van het buitenlandbeleid
van de VS, echter er zijn nog veel meer voorbeelden te bedenken en
telkens blijkt dat de heersers en regeringen tegen wie de VS het
opneemt, de belangen van de grote bedrijven en/of de
militair-strategische belangen van de VS schenden, dan wel op grote voorraden belangrijke grondstoffen zitten, zoals olie en gas….* Zo zou
Morales nog maar onlangs een contract met een Duitse firma hebben
opgezegd, een contract over delving en export van lithium, een
belangrijke grondstof voor accu’s in de breedste zin van het woord,
dus zowel voor auto’s als die voor de smartphone…… Bolivia zou in haar bodem rond de 70% van de totale wereldvoorraad aan lithium bezitten…… In feite nationaliseerde Morales de voorraden lithium
en nationalisatie is een woord waardoor in Washington alle seinen op knalrood gaan…….
Gegarandeerd
dat de VS als eerste de opstand in Bolivia heeft georganiseerd en
geregisseerd, dit met de opzet een staatsgreep te forceren, wat zoals we weten is gelukt…… (een manier van handelen die de VS al vaak heeft gebruikt…..) Zeker ook
dat de VS contact had met de oppositie (van de minderheid, dus de
nazaten van de kolonisten) en dat deze oppositie besprekingen voerde
met de CIA, onderwerp: het afzetten van Morales……**

This
sounds like a modern day comment from the US far left, but the source
is hardly that. It’s from a man who was the most decorated Marine
ever at the time of his death. He was an expert on the topic. He
served in WW I as well as the Mexican Revolution. Smedley Butler was
doomed to be a largely forgotten voice in the rush to gloss over the
true causes of war and regime change. He pointed out the techniques
used to win public approval and the subsequent serving of the
corporate needs by entering these ever-repeating violent conflicts.
He described his military career as that of “a high class muscleman
for Big Business, Wall Street, and the Bankers. In short, I was a
racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.”
This
man mapped it all out for us around a hundred years ago, yet the
jingoism prevails. The latest bipolar foreign policy evidenced in
Bolivia is just the latest chapter of the US pushing for and actively
installing those who would further the interests of Big Business.
Always at the cost of the poor. In this case, the cure for the
bipolar policy is probably going to be lithium.
The
moment that leaders begin to step out of a corporate-friendly lane,
shit gets real. Fast. A treasured ally becomes the perpetrator of
election fraud or the nexus of humanitarian affronts to their people.
True, pretty much anyone who ascends to a leadership position has
issues that can be dissected and critiqued, but even the most
horrible actions can be quietly dismissed as quickly as a bone saw
can dispatch a pudgy journalist to pieces—if you play the game.
Amazing and graphic affronts to decency are ignored when the leaders
keep the machinery oiled. Literally oiled.
Gaddafi
was a bit of a back and forth US darling until he flirted too much
with a gold-based dinar currency aimed at competing with the
petrodollar. But things are much better now that he was murdered in
the open-air and now Libya can be an open-air slave market. “We
came, we saw, he died.” Hilarious***. Now those that took over have
some very easily refinable oil, if not refined manners.
Saddam
Hussein was a similar friend to the US, even an ally– his behavior
during the war with Iran was considered nifty. I don’t recall the
US going in when he gassed the Kurds either. Maybe someone in DC
frowned? Those Kurds sure don’t ever get a fair deal, do they? I
can understand why they only trust mountains. And the moves that
seemed to be regime threatening in Iraq involved that pesky
petrodollar again.
I
guess we’ve moved to a greener foreign policy when lithium regime
change is replacing petroleum regime change. Thank you green economy.
Didn’t
Morales recently step out of a joint deal with a German firm to
export lithium (which Bolivia claims to have over 70% of the world’s
reserves)? I think he did that like a second before he was
discarded. Nationalized resources are not okay and the global south
is supposed to be a poverty-stricken supplier. Teslas are for
well-heeled Northern Californians, not Bolivians wearing those bowler
hats! Ridiculous.
And
all through the meddling, as well as the overt actions that cause
increased misery in the world, the US public largely continues to
believe in it all. The examples are all around us.
Something
I noticed recently: This Veteran’s Day a spot on PBS spoke to
issues of Native American participation in the military. The slant
was broadly complimentary to military service (duh, of course it was
on V-Day), but it was perhaps one of the worst widespread examples of
Stockholm Syndrome I’ve seen. They were glorifying the sacrifices
made by Natives in serving the US government, taking these dignified
and proud individuals and supplanting the US Imperialism on the young
people who had signed up. Don’t get me wrong, the tribal members
were totally having it, deriving enormous self-worth from the
experience. Even at the expense of PTSD and lost family members. It
was a mind-fuck for sure. I worked on the White Mountain Apache
reservation long ago and saw the manipulation first-hand–the desire
many had to fit into the broader culture that had back-stabbed them
and their ancestors. The end of the piece did a bit on individuals
fighting against fracking and made mention that Standing Rock didn’t
stop the pipeline, that the government prevailed, but it was framed
like this was part of a personal journey for the veterans. I
would say this was an example of a warrior culture using that power
to try to protect something sacred, the environment—to battle for
something that matters, not being hijacked to go kill ________
(insert poor people of choice in latest military misadventure). It
was a confused piece, made to tug at the heartstrings. Clearly you
can be a minority in this country if you are a useful part of the
machine is what I got out of it. This is how consent is manufactured,
of course. You are revered if you do what you are supposed to do in
that it helps the business of business. They get control of resources
and you might get a body bag, but they will frame it as beautiful
sacrifice and those of us who aren’t buying it are the ogres who
hate rainbows,sunshine and motherhood. And this is just one small
arena of propaganda.
The
corporate agenda will continue to be pushed and despite all evidence,
the average American won’t wonder why one ally can perpetrate
horrific acts and another gets cast out for Trumped up reasons. Hell,
most people are so tired they can’t think straight, let alone think
critically.
Bolivia
had a record of success in lifting many out of poverty and
illiteracy. This will certainly go the other direction now that
Jeanine Añez is at the helm. She seems to be quite adversarial to
the indigenous, and they comprise 65% of Bolivia’s population. She
has the saccharine hucksterism of a 40’s bible salesman. Definitely
Trump ally material, maybe even Trump wife material?
Much
like the scientific process strives to look towards the truth of how
things really work, Smedley Butler gave us a framework that should be
taken seriously—he described correctly how it all works and how
these similar situations keep producing repeatable miserable results
that keep the world in line for business extraction. He was a
principled man who deserves to be remembered—his prescient warning
regarding additional regime meddling and outright war have not lost
the luster of truth. It’s going on as we speak.

het grootste deel van het Boliviaanse volk, zo’n 65% achter haar door
een staatsgreep verdreven president Evo Morales…… Die 65% is dan
ook het overgrote deel van het Boliviaanse volk, te weten de
oorspronkelijke bevolking……
Na in
feite al eeuwen onder de knoet van misdadige Europeanen en hun nageslacht te hebben geleefd, was Evo Morales de eerste president van
Bolivia, die behoort tot de oorspronkelijke bevolking…… De ene
dictatuur na de andere heeft deze bevolkingsgroep onderdrukt en
zonder een echte aanleiding eist het nageslacht van de bloedige
Europeaanse kolonisten de regering op…. Jeanine Áñez, een fundi-christen, of beter gezegd ronduit een fascist, heeft zich benoemd tot interim-president zonder de vertegenwoordigers van Morales partij daarin te betrekken (de grootste partij van het land), deze benoeming met steun van de VS, de EU en een aantal Latijns-Amerikaanse landen…… Áñez is een kwaadaardige trol die de oorspronkelijke bevolking uit de grond van haar hart haat en stelt dat de rituelen van deze mensen des duivels zijn en dat ze niets in de Boliviaanse steden te zoeken hebben…… (nogmaals: deze fascist wordt uit onze naam gesteund door de ‘zeer democratisch bestuurde’ EU)

Morales heeft een prima beleid
gevoerd, waarbij hij veel mensen van de oorspronkelijke bevolking
uit de armoede heeft getild en hen hoop gegeven op een goede toekomst…… Tja, dat wensen de nabestaanden van die kolonisten
niet, zij moeten gewoon op hun goedkope en onderdanige arbeidskrachten kunnen
rekenen en daar hoort niet bij dat ze zich organiseren, dat ze eisen stellen, laat staan dat ze het land regeren……
Werkelijk
ongelofelijk de berichtgeving in de reguliere media, zo wordt Morales
een dictator genoemd, waar men eerder de vuilbek dichthield en houdt als er werkelijk een dictator tekeergaat in landen als Bolivia, zoals de fascist
Bolsonaro van Brazilië, die één fout beging in de ogen van de
westerse media en politiek: namelijk iedereen een grote bek geven
toen een groot deel van het Braziliaanse Amazonewoud afbrandde……
Overigens was daar snel een kentering te zien, de rechtse propaganda
machine van Latijns-Amerika draaide overuren om te vertellen dat
er jaarlijks vele branden zijn in het Amazonewoud en ja hoor, de westerse mediavertegenwoordigers brauwden het onmiddellijk na, zonder te
kijken waarom er zoveel opschudding was: binnen één jaar nadat
Bolsonaro als president aantrad was het aantal branden in het Braziliaanse deel van het Amazonewoud met 84%
toegenomen……
Niemand
die even opmerkte dat Bolsonaro meermaals heeft gesteld het belang
van werk en economische groei veel belangrijker te vinden dan het behoud van het Amazonewoud, waarbij hij aangaf de regels te willen versoepelen, en grootschalig het woud open te
zetten voor commerciële activiteiten als olieboringen, landbouw (ook op grote schaal),
mijnbouw en industrialisatie, kortom hij gaf het teken: “Gooi de fik er maar
in jongens, mijn zegen heb je…”
Nee
Morales is de kwaaie pier, terwijl een stel fascisten de macht heeft
gegrepen in Bolivia…… De wereld had op de kop moeten staan, maar
nee men beschuldigde Morales van dictatoriale neigingen…… Ach je
zag het al met de coup in Honduras in 2009, er werd amper een kik
gegeven toen Hillary Clinton, destijds minister van BuZa in de VS,
plus de CIA een coup in dat land organiseerden en regisseerden,
daarna was het ‘business as usual’ en bleef iedereen gewoon
handel drijven met in feite een door een junta bestuurd land, waar de
democratisch gekozen president Zelaya in een door militairen uitgevoerde coup werd gedwongen af te treden en door hen naar Costa Rica werd gevlogen…… Ja, men had wel commentaar in het westen, maar dat was meer voor de vorm, de VS legde NB sancties op aan de Hondurese junta, die het zelf in het zadel had geholpen, sancties die dan ook snel weer werden ingetrokken……
Vergelijk het voorgaande eens met de doorlopende coup van de VS tegen de democratisch gekozen president Maduro van Venezuela, op basis van een enorme berg leugens steunt men in het westen deze door de VS georganiseerde coup (inclusief de zogenaamde onafhankelijke reguliere media)…… Dit alles waarbij de VS zich constant op de borst klopt als brenger van democratie, maar in werkelijkheid draait deze terreurentiteit de ene na de andere democratie de nek om….
Eén
ding is zeker, ook achter de coup in Bolivia zit de VS (CIA) en
mochten politie en leger zich te buiten gaan aan slachtpartijen
kunnen we dat weer optellen bij de onafzienbare lijst met (oorlogs-)
misdaden van de VS en het enorme aantal mensen dat door de VS of haar
handelen is vermoord, alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen….

Don’t Want Any Dictators”: Bolivians Flood Streets to Protest
Military Coup
(CD) — Unrest
continued in Bolivia Thursday as protests against the right-wing coup
that unseated democratically-elected President Evo Morales on Sunday
and the anti-Indigenous ideology behind it entered their fourth day
Demonstrators
filled the streets of the Bolivian capitol, La Paz, waving the
indigenous wiphala flag and registering their disapproval of the new
interim government of Jeanine Añez.
El Alto, 2:30pm: Many contingents make the long walk towards La Paz which is down hill and has people travelling 25km or more as there is no public transportation, no cars can make it past barricades, and the teleferico is out of service. Video is mine.

New
president Añez has come under criticism for a history of comments
promoting an extreme right-wing Christian theocratic ideology,
including referring to the country’s Indigenous population as
“satanic.”
Members
of the country’s police and military forces, whose support for the
coup over the weekend precipitated Morales’ resignation Sunday,
have been photographed cutting the wiphala flag off of their
uniforms.
“Anti-Indigenous
racism is at the heart of what’s happening in Bolivia,” tweeted
Cherokee activist and writer Rebecca Nagle.

Right-wing
militias burning the flag and attacking the country’s
Indigenous protest movement mean that the conflict is more than just
about political differences, said Bolivian feminist Adriana
Guzman—it’s about the country’s right-wing being opposed to
everything the Morales government stood for.
The
coup d’état is against all of that,” said Guzman. “That’s
why they degrade. That’s why they punish. That’s why they burn
the Indigenous wiphala flag.”

In
an opinion piece for The
Guardian,
Nick Estes, co-founder and editor of The
Red Nation, said that
the difference between the two camps in Bolivia is clear.
“The
future of Bolivia is currently marching in the streets, the millions
of people who voted for
Evo
in the last elections, the 47% whose voices and votes were stolen by
the violent return of the old, colonial oligarchy,” wrote Estes.
Protester
Luchampe said she hoped the protests would continue until there is a
resolution to the conflict that undoes the coup.
“We’re
going to fight with our brothers and sisters until Evo Morales is
back,” said Luchampe. “We ask for his return. He needs to put the
house in order.”

de VS (CIA) georganiseerde en geregisseerde opstand, heeft geleid tot het
intrekken van de steun die politie en leger gaven aan de Boliviaanse socialistische president
Evo Morales en zijn succesvolle regering, waarop Morales nog maar één ding kon doen om
bloedvergieten (op vooral de oorspronkelijke bevolking van Bolivia) te
voorkomen: aftreden……
De media
in de VS mijden het woord ‘coup’ in de verslaggeving, een coup tegen
een leider die de ergste armoede in het land wist weg te werken en
die een succesvol economisch beleid voerde, waarbij hij de
oorspronkelijke bevolking van Bolivia bevoordeelde, die zo te leiden
hadden onder het beleid van de voorgangers van Morales….. Let wel,
dat deel van de bevolking is het grootst in Bolivia, terwijl de macht
in dat land altijd in handen was van de eerdere Spaanse
kolonisten, een minderheid in dat land……
Morales
nationaliseerde daarvoor o.a. de lithium productie, lithium
belangrijk voor accu’s t.b.v. smartphones en andere
computerapparatuur, plus uiteraard de accu’s voor auto’s en fietsen.
Bolivia bezit de grootste lithium voorraden ter wereld…..
Je hoeft
in Latijns-Amerika maar de indruk te wekken dat je het opneemt voor
het grote arme deel van de bevolking en in Washington staan de
signalen op (communistisch) rood. Daarop wordt de CIA losgelaten op
de oppositie en wordt samen met die oppositie een opstand
georganiseerd….. Een beproefde methode van de VS om tot een staatsgreep te
komen, mocht dit niet lukken worden politie en leger van het
betreffende land onder druk gezet (inclusief de belofte van een zak geld en zo mogelijk promotie)
om de democratisch gekozen regering ten val te brengen, waarbij in veel gevallen CIA agenten meehelpen met het smerige antidemocratische werk…..
Het
voorgaande is gelukt, de legerchef eiste dat Morales zou aftreden en
nadat de politie zich al eerder achter de opstand had gesteld,
bleef voor Morales niets anders over dan af te treden… Reken maar
dat Morales binnenskamers te verstaan is gegeven dat wanneer hij
niet zou aftreden, hij en zijn familie vermoord zouden worden……
(zijn familie werd al langer bedreigd….)
De
zoveelste daad van terroristische agressie door de VS uitgeoefend
tegen een democratisch gekozen president en diens regering…
Voorheen waren er in Bolivia geen regels voor de ambtstermijn van een president,
waardoor dictators in het verleden konden blijven zitten, echter
onder Morales wist men het voor elkaar te krijgen dat de ambtstermijn
van een president op maximaal 2 termijnen werd gezet……
Men
beschuldigt Morales van het manipuleren van de verkiezingen, terwijl
het tot Morales standaard was dat verkiezingen werden gemanipuleerd,
e.e.a. kan ook niet anders als je ziet dat de meerderheid van het
volk tot de oorspronkelijke bevolking behoort….. (waardoor er altijd een leider van deze bevolking ‘op de democratische troon’ zou moeten zitten) Het is dan ook zeker
dat vanaf nu de verkiezingen gemanipuleerd zullen worden, zodat niet
nog eens een lid van de oorspronkelijke bevolking tot president kan
worden gekozen, zoals je begrijpt zal dit samengaan met een regering
die de volgende ‘witte’ dictator terzijde zal staan……
Zoals
gewoonlijk heeft ook de vereniging van Amerikaanse staten, de OAS
zich achter de coup tegen Morales gesteld, niet zo vreemd als je
bedenkt dat de OAS in feite bestuurd wordt door de VS, dat ook 60%
van de kosten betaalt……. De OAS stelt zich dan ook altijd
vijandig op tegen landen die ofwel de VS niet welgevallig zijn, dan
wel die socialistisch worden bestuurd (waar deze twee natuurlijk hand
in hand gaan…)…..
Een
zwarte dag voor de democratie, waarover de VS keer op keer liegt dat
men die nastreeft in het buitenland, het buitenland waar deze
vereniging van terreurstaten niets te zoeken heeft, maar wel verkiezingen manipuleert, opstanden organiseert, staatsgrepen regisseert en zelfs illegale oorlogen tegen begint, althans al deze zaken als zo’n land zich niet schikt naar de wensen in Washington en de grote bedrijven van de VS……..

As is
usual,
mass media’s reporting on this story is in full alignment with the US
State Department, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also advancing
the “disputed election” line in a
tweet shortly
before the forced resignation of Morales. Pompeo cited
the evidence-free
and discredited allegation
of suspicious vote tallies during Morales’ re-election last month
from the Washington-based Organization
of American States (OAS).
As
Mark Weisbrot of the Center for Economic & Policy
Research (CEPR) explains
in a recent article for The
Nation,
the OAS receives 60 percent of its funding from Washington, which
gives the US tremendous leverage over the supposedly neutral and
international body. This ties in interestingly with what we discussed
the other day about
Washington’s known history of using its disproportionate financial
support for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) as leverage to force that supposedly neutral and international body
to comply with US agendas.
The
field of narrative management keeps making more and more advances.
They
never did find any evidence of fraud in the October 20th election,
but the media repeated the allegation so many times that it became
“true,” in this post-truth world.

The
US-centralized empire just keeps throwing coup attempts at unabsorbed
governments until they stick. The coup in Venezuela failed in 2002
and again in 2019, but they’ll just keep attempting them until one
takes hold. A kickboxer throws strikes in combinations with the
understanding that most attacks will miss or do minimal damage
against a trained opponent, but eventually one will get through and
score the knockout blow. Imperialist regime change agendas employ the
same punches-in-bunches philosophy: just keep attacking and
undermining at every possible turn, and eventually something will
stick.
And
the empire can afford to do this. When you have all the power and
resources, you can bide your time, knowing that if the current
attempt at toppling the government in a sovereign nation fails,
there’s always tomorrow.
At
a United Nations Security Council meeting last year, President
Morales summed
up the true nature of
America’s role in the world very accurately, and, it turns out, very
presciently.
“I
would like to say to you, frankly and openly here, that in no way is
the United States interested in upholding democracy,” Morales
said. “If such were the case it would not have financed coups
d’etat and supported dictators. It would not have threatened with
military intervention democratically elected governments as it has
done with Venezuela. The United States could not care less about
human rights or justice. If this were the case, it would have signed
the international conventions and treaties that have protected human
rights.It would not have threatened the investigation mechanism of
the International Criminal Court, nor would it promote the use of
torture, nor would it have walked away from the Human Rights Council.
And nor would it have separated migrant children from their families,
nor put them in cages.”
“The
United States is not interested in multilateralism,” Morales
continued. “If it were interested in multilateralism it would
not have withdrawn from the Paris Agreement or given the cold
shoulder to the global compact on migration, it would not have
launched unilateral attacks, nor have taken decisions such as
illegally declaring Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel. This
contempt for multilateralism is motivated by the thirst of the United
States for political control and for the seizing of natural
resources.”
“Each
time that the United States invades nations, launches missiles, or
finances regime change, it does so behind a propaganda campaign which
incessantly repeats the message that it is acting in the course of
justice, freedom and democracy, in the cause of human rights or for
humanitarian reasons,” Morales also said.
“The
responsibility of our generation is to hand over a fairer and more
secure world to the following generation,” Morales concluded.
“We will only achieve this dream if we work together to
consolidate a multipolar world, a world with common rules that are
respected by and defended from all the threats ranged against the
United Nations.”
Indeed,
the only reason the US is able to wage its endless campaign of regime
change agendas against unabsorbed governments is because the unipolar
world order it rules has allowed it the power, resources and leisure
to do so. A multipolar world would enable the citizenry of this
planet to have a say in what happens to them in a way that is not
dictated by a few sociopaths in and around Washington, DC. A
multipolar world is to democracy as a unipolar world is to monarchy.
The citizens of the world should oppose this unipolarity.

Mike Pompeo, VS minister van buitenlandse zaken, is vandaag in Duitsland dat hij eerder wilde bezoeken, maar dat hij vanwege de herdenking van de val van de Muur (morgen 30 jaar geleden) heeft uitgesteld tot vandaag.
Deze oorlogsmisdadiger en verantwoordelijke voor ontvoeringen, martelingen en gijzelingen, durfde Duitsland voor te houden hoe belangrijk vrijheid is (uiteraard i.v.m. de val van de Muur) en het samen optrekken tegen autoritaire regimes als Rusland…. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Ten eerste wil Pompeo het zwaar gesubsidieerde en peperdure schaliegas als LNG aan de EU-lidstaten slijten, daar Duitsland en Rusland bezig zijn met de aanleg van een gaspijpleiding door de Oostzee richting Duitsland (en daarmee ook richting Nederland), Nord Stream 2 (NS2) een veel goedkopere oplossing dan LNG, dat bovendien ook nog eens met zwaar vervuilende tankers vervoerd moet worden richting Europa…….
Ten Tweede heeft de VS al een fiks aantal gewelddadige en autoritaire dictators aan de macht geholpen en dat in landen die democratisch werden geregeerd, neem Iran, Honduras, Oekraïne en een fiks aantal Latijns-Amerikaanse landen (al van voor WOII), Aziatische landen (waaronder Indonesië) en landen als de Filipijnen…..
Ten derde is niet Rusland een gevaar voor de wereldvrede, maar de VS en dat wordt aangetoond met tientallen meters aan dossiers en honderden terabytes aan documentaires…… Niet Rusland, maar de VS is deze eeuw al meer dan 4 illegale oorlogen begonnen, waarbij godbetert meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen werden vermoord…… Niet Rusland staat tegen de afspraken in voor de grenzen van de VS, maar de VS en haar oorlogshond de NAVO staan voor grote delen van de Russische grens, waar ze ook nog eens bijna het jaarrond militaire oefeningen houden…… Bovendien is de VS het enige land dat ooit illegaal de atoombom heeft gebruikt tegen burgers en dat 2 keer…..
Ten vierde is het totaal belachelijk dat Pompeo de viering van de val van de Muur gebruikt, terwijl de VS bezig is met de bouw van een muur tegen vluchtelingen die op de loop zijn voor door de VS veroorzaakt geweld in eigen land (veel mensen uit Honduras waar de VS een coup organiseerde en regisseerde)…… Overigens geldt dit evenzo voor de veel te overdreven aandacht die aan de val van de Muur wordt besteed, ook in ons land, terwijl we in feite bezig zijn om virtuele en echte muren op te trekken in de EU tegen vluchtelingen…… Vluchtelingen die in grote getale op de loop zijn gegaan voor de terreur van de VS en de andere NAVO-lidstaten (waaronder Nederland) en dat in landen waar de NAVO en haar baas, de VS, niets, maar dan ook helemaal niets te zoeken hebben!!!
De laatsten die hun vuilbek open moeten doen over democratie, dictatuur en vrijheid, zijn wel politici uit de VS!!
‘VS vermoordde meer dan 20 miljoen mensen sinds het einde van WOII……..‘ Tot het jaar 2000, deze eeuw kunnen daar intussen al meer dan 2,5 miljoen moorden aan toe worden gevoegd, moorden begaan door de VS en de NAVO (waar deze terreurorganisatie onder militair opperbevel stond en staat van de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…)….
Alweer
ligt er bewijs dat de VS bezig is de boel in een buitenland te verkloten, dit keer is het Bolivia waar men bezig is de situatie te
destabiliseren, overigens wat mij betreft geen nieuws, dit was al
gaande voor de verkiezingsoverwinning van Morales. Je kan het dan
ook een wonder noemen dat het economisch beleid van Evo Morales zo
succesvol is (zo meer daarover).
Een
Boliviaanse radiozender, Radio
Education Network of Bolivia (ERBOL) , heeft 16 audiofragmenten
gelekt, waarin oppositie leiders oproepen tot een staatsgreep tegen
de regering Morales, een actie die uit de VS koker zou komen, iets
dat geheel past in de manier van werken die de VS eropna houdt
De
namen die in de audiofragementen terugkomen zijn die van Marco Rubio,
Ted Cruz en Bob Menendez, alleen daaruit al valt duidelijk op te maken
dat de VS de organisatie en regie heeft
over ‘de onrust in Bolivia’, waar men weer massaal koos voor Evo
Morales
Nu nog
het economisch succes van de regering Morales: waarschijnlijk zijn
door het economisch succesvolle beleid van Morales al ‘een paar
koppen gerold’ bij de CIA, een geheime dienst die er haar specialiteit
van heeft gemaakt om in landen waar een echt links beleid succesvol
lijkt, de boel daar te vernachelen, o.a. door pogingen de economie van dat land op alle manieren onderuit te halen, niet in de laatste plaats door met het ministerie van buitenlandse zaken van de VS, geheime sancties
tegen zo’n land in te stellen (ofwel: grootschalige terreur), precies wat men in Venezuela al onder Chavez
flikte, dit volhield onder Maduro en ten laatste de sancties
officieel heeft gemaakt, waardoor intussen al 40.000 Venezolanen
het leven hebben verloren (zo heeft de VS miljarden aan tegoeden van
Venezuela, voor de aankoop van medicijnen geblokkeerd, terwijl deze vereniging van terreurstaten Maduro er eerder van beschuldigde medicijnen achter te
houden….)….. Uit de gelekte gesprekken blijkt ook dat men een algehele staking wil forceren in Bolivia…… Niet voor niets ook dat in het verleden heel wat
Latijns-Amerikaanse landen waar men een socialistisch bewind
nastreefde, de grote Noord-Amerikaanse bedrijven als die in de
mijnbouw nationaliseerde en zoveel mogelijk personeel uit de VS het
land uit schopte……
De aanhangers van Morales vrezen dat hun president ‘een ongeluk’ zal overkomen, het zal de eerste keer niet zijn dat een president zo aan het einde komt, eerder was Morales al betrokken bij een helikopterongeluk, wat hij gelukkig overleefde (zie de eerste link aan het eind van het volgende artikel)
Gelukkig
heeft Morales grote aanhang onder het volk en zoals het zich laat
aanzien ook onder het leger en de politie, wat echter niet wil zeggen
dat een staatsgreep tegen Morales onmogelijk is…… (een klein aantal legerofficieren is het land al ontvlucht, daar zij betrokken zouden zijn bij het plannen van een staatsgreep…..)

Clearing House” – Opposition
politicians held talks with U.S. senators to destabilize Bolivia
and organize a general strike after Evo Morales’ victory.
The
Radio Education Network of Bolivia (Erbol) leaked 16 audios
involving opposition leaders who are calling for a coup d’etat
against the government of President
Evo Morales,
a political action which would have been coordinated from the U.S.
embassy in the Andean country .
Among
those mentioned in the audios are the U.S.
senators Marco
Rubio,
Bob Menendez and Ted Cruz, who have would maintained contact
with the Bolivian opposition in order to achieve a possible
regime change in the South American country.
The audios
also reveal participation in the political conspiracy of the
former prefect of Cochabamba, Manfred Reyes Villa, who was accused of
corruption in 2009 and fled Bolivia to seek asylum in the U.S.,
where he is currently living.
In
their conspiracy talks, Bolivian politicians also mention
a former Bolivian president whose name is not explicitly
mentioned, former New Republican Force lawmaker Mauricio Muñoz and
former Army officers Oscar Pacello, Remberto Siles, Julio
Maldonado and Teobaldo Cardozo.

The Erbol leaked
information audios also mention calls from opposition leaders to burn
government party structures and to put together a general strike
across the country.
All these
actions, which were expected to be advertised as
based on social unrest, would be part of
the response to the triumph of Evo Morales in the last
presidential elections.
The
opposition plans would also include an eventual attack against the
Cuban Embassy, very similar to what happened in the coup
against Venezuela’s late president Hugo Chavez in 2002.
So
far, none of the opposition leaders in Bolivia has said anything
about the leaked audios.
