De FBI zoektocht naar de daders van de Antrax aanvallen in 2001 is belangrijk voor de vraag waar de COVID-19 uitbraak begon

Glenn Greenwald heeft een artikel geschreven waarin hij eerst aandacht besteedt aan de antrax aanvallen in de VS na de aanslagen van 9/11 (2001). Hij beschrijft hoe de FBI en anderen zochten naar de dader, waarbij men eerst de schuld in de schoenen van Saddam Hoessein probeerde te schuiven. Toen bleek dat de gevonden antrax, uit het VS militair laboratorium van Fort Detrick kwam, begon men een paar wetenschappers te beschuldigen, waarvan er één werkzaam was in dat laboratorium, met die beschuldiging werd de reputatie van deze mensen ernstig beschadigd, zoals die van dr. Steven Hatfill, een voormalig wetenschapper van de overheid, aan wie de VS overheid later 6 miljoen euro schadevergoeding moest betalen vanwege die valse beschuldiging…… 

Daarna werd microbioloog Bruce Ivins beschuldigd, deze wetenschapper was werkzaam in Fort Detrick, echter voor men hem kon aanklagen zou deze wetenschapper zich het leven hebben benomen…… Wat mij betreft discutabel, daar dit de FBI wel erg goed uitkwam: immers waarom zou Ivins zich het leven benemen als hij onschuldig was? Anders gezegd de kans is groot dat Ivins werd vermoord , waarbij men het op een suïcide liet lijken, dit om hem blijvend als schuldige aan te kunnen wijzen >> dergelijke ‘suïcides’ zijn een specialiteit van zowel de FBI als de CIA……. Overigens is het overgrote deel van de betrokkenen ervan overtuigd dat Ivins niets met de verspreiding van antrax te maken had: het zou zelfs onmogelijk zijn dat hij dit alleen zou hebben kunnen doen……..

De militaire laboratoria van Fort Detrick

Greenwald vindt e.e.a. belangrijk gezien de vraag waar het Coronavirus vandaan kwam, onlangs door Joe Biden nog eens aangewezen als belangrijk onderzoeksproject. Uit onderzoek naar de antrax uit 2001 bleek dat deze was aangepast in het militaire laboratorium in Fort Detrick, zogenaamd om uit te zoeken of er een vaccin tegen deze vorm van antrax was te fabriceren…… Geheel terecht merkt Greenwald op dat de VS weliswaar verdragen tegen het fabriceren van biologische wapens heeft getekend, maar in feite nog steeds bezig is met het fabriceren van dodelijke virussen en bacteriestammen in het bewuste militaire laboratorium……. 

Jammer dat Greenwald niet het met spoed sluiten noemt van Fort Detrick in de zomer van 2019, dit daar er een gevaarlijk virus was ontsnapt……. Het zou overigens zeker zijn dat ook het Coronavirus in dat laboratorium onderwerp van onderzoek was, niet zo vreemd als je bedenkt dat dit virus al lang rondwaart, echter zonder de ernstige gevolgen zoals we die het laatste jaar hebben gezien >> alleen dat laatste is al verdacht en zou kunnen aangeven dat er inderdaad is ‘gedokterd’ aan dit virus (hoewel het Coronavirus nog steeds géén dodelijk virus mag worden genoemd zoals bijvoorbeeld Ebola….)….. Eén theorie is dat het militaire laboratorium van Fort Detrick samenwerkte met een laboratorium in Wuhan, de stad die onterecht werd aangewezen als plek waar het virus voor het eerst zou zijn gevonden, immers uit nader onderzoek vorig voorjaar van stalen bloed, afgenomen in november 2019 in Frankrijk, blijkt dat twee mensen in die maand al waren besmet met het Coronavirus dat intussen zoveel ellende heeft veroorzaakt…. Nader onderzoek heeft overigens uitgewezen dat al voor de ontdekking van de eerste Coronabesmettingen in China er in de VS al mensen waren besmet met het virus*.

Vergeet bij dit alles niet dat gezonde mensen amper last hebben van het virus en militairen zijn over het algemeen in goede conditie, dus de kans dat die ernstig ziek worden van het virus is zeer klein….. Tel daarbij op dat in oktober 2019 de militaire wereldspelen plaatsvonden in Wuhan, waar ook militairen uit de VS aan deel hebben genomen, ofwel het is heel goed mogelijk dat één of meer militairen dit virus onbedoeld hebben overgebracht naar Wuhan…….

Het is zonder meer een schande dat er ondanks de Coronacrisis nog steeds biologische wapens worden gemaakt, die duidelijk worden gefabriceerd om als wapen in te zetten…. Vorig jaar werd Fort Detrick weer geopend en ging men daar ondanks de ‘pandemie’ door met onderzoek naar biologische wapens als virussen om die in te zetten tegen een toekomstig vijandig land……. (en de bevolking van zo’n land…..)

The FBI’s Strange Anthrax Investigation Sheds Light on COVID Lab-Leak Theory and Fauci’s Emails

Mainstream
institutions doubted the FBI had solved the 2001 anthrax case. Either
way, revelations that emerged about U.S. Government bio-labs have
newfound relevance.

One of the most significant events
of the last two decades has been largely memory-holed: the October,
2001 anthrax attacks in the U.S. Beginning just one week after 9/11 and
extending for another three weeks, a highly weaponized and sophisticated
strain of anthrax had been sent around the country through the U.S.
Postal Service addressed to some of the country’s most prominent
political and media figures. As Americans were still reeling from the
devastation of 9/11, the anthrax killed five Americans and sickened
another seventeen.

As part of the extensive reporting I did on the subsequent FBI investigation to find the perpetrator(s), I documented how significant these attacks were in the public consciousness. ABC News,
led by investigative reporter Brian Ross, spent a full week claiming
that unnamed government sources told them that government tests
demonstrated a high likelihood that the anthrax came from Saddam
Hussein’s biological weapons program. The Washington Post, in November, 2001, also raised
“the possibility that [this weaponized strain of anthrax] may have
slipped through an informal network of scientists to Iraq.” Sen. John
McCain (R-AZ) appeared on The David Letterman Show on October
18, 2001, and said: “There is some indication, and I don’t have the
conclusions, but some of this anthrax may — and I emphasize may — have
come from Iraq.” Three days later, McCain appeared on Meet the Press
with Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) and said of the anthrax perpetrators:
“perhaps this is an international organization and not one within the
United States of America,” while Lieberman said the anthrax was so
finely weaponized that “there’s either a significant amount of money
behind this, or this is state-sponsored, or this is stuff that was
stolen from the former Soviet program” (Lieberman added: “Dr. Fauci can
tell you more detail on that”).

In
many ways, the prospect of a lethal, engineered biological agent
randomly showing up in one’s mailbox or contaminating local communities
was more terrifying than the extraordinary 9/11 attack itself. All sorts
of oddities shrouded the anthrax mailings, including this bizarre admission in 2008 by long-time Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen: “I had been told soon after Sept. 11 to secure
Cipro, the antidote to anthrax. The tip had come in a roundabout way
from a high government official. I was carrying Cipro way before most
people had ever heard of it.” At the very least, those anthrax attacks
played a vital role in heightening fear levels and a foundational sense
of uncertainty that shaped U.S. discourse and politics for years to
come. It meant that not just Americans living near key power centers
such as Manhattan and Washington were endangered, but all Americans
everywhere were: even from their own mailboxes.

The
FBI first falsely cast suspicion on a former government scientist, Dr.
Steven Hatfill, who had conducted research on mailing deadly anthrax
strains. Following the FBI’s accusations, media outlets began dutifully
implying that Hatfill was the culprit. A January, 2002, New York Times column
by Nicholas Kristof began by declaring: “I think I know who sent out
the anthrax last fall,” then, without naming him, proceeded to perfectly
describe Hatfill in a way that made him easily identifiable to everyone
in that research community. Hatfill sued the U.S. Government, which
eventually ended up paying him close to $6 million in damages before
officially and explicitly exonerating him and apologizing. His lawsuit
against the NYT and Kristof were dismissed since he was never named by the paper, but the columnist also apologized to him six years later.

A
full eight years after the attack, the FBI once again claimed that it
had found the perpetrator: this time, it was the microbiologist Bruce
Ivins, a long-time “biodefense” researcher at the U.S. Army’s infectious
disease research lab in Fort Detrick, Maryland. Yet before he could be
indicted, Ivins died, apparently by suicide,
to avoid prosecution. As a result, the FBI was never required to prove
its case in court. The agency insisted, however, that there was no doubt
that Ivins was the anthrax killer, citing genetic analysis of the
anthrax strain that they said conclusively matched the anthrax found in
Ivins’ U.S. Army lab, along with circumstantial evidence pointing to
him.

But virtually every mainstream institution other than the FBI harbored doubts. The New York Times quoted
Ivins’ co-workers as calling into question the FBI’s claims (“The
investigators looked around, they decided they had to find somebody”),
and the paper also cited “vocal skepticism from key members of
Congress.” Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), one of the targets of the anthrax
letters, said explicitly
he did not believe Ivins could have carried out the attacks alone. Sen.
Charles Grassley (R-IA) and then-Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ), a physicist,
said the same to me in interviews. The nation’s three largest newspapers
— The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal
— all editorially called for independent investigations on the grounds
that the FBI’s evidence was inconclusive if not outright unconvincing.
One of the country’s most prestigious science journals, Nature, published an editorial under the headline “Case Not Closed,” arguing, about the FBI’s key claims, that “the jury is still out on those questions.”

When
an independent investigation was finally conducted in 2011 into the
FBI’s scientific claims against Ivins, much of that doubt converted into
full-blown skepticism. As The New York Times put it —
in a 2008 article headlined “Expert Panel Is Critical of F.B.I. Work in
Investigating Anthrax Letters” —  the review “concludes that the bureau overstated the strength of genetic analysis linking the mailed anthrax to a supply kept by Bruce E. Ivins.” A Washington Post article —
headlined: “Anthrax report casts doubt on scientific evidence in FBI
case against Bruce Ivins” — announced that “the report reignited a
debate that has simmered among some scientists and others who have
questioned the strength of the FBI’s evidence against Ivins.”

An in-depth joint investigation by ProPublica, PBS and McClatchy — published under the headline “New Evidence Adds Doubt to FBI’s Case Against Anthrax Suspect” — concluded
that “newly available documents and the accounts of Ivins’ former
colleagues shed fresh light on the evidence and, while they don’t
exonerate Ivins, are at odds with some of the science and circumstantial
evidence that the government said would have convicted him of capital
crimes.” It added: “even some of the government’s science consultants
wonder whether the real killer is still at large.” The report itself,
issued by the National Research Council, concluded that while the
components of the anthrax in Ivins’ lab were “consistent” with the
weaponized anthrax that had been sent, “the scientific link between the
letter material and flask number RMR-1029 [found in Ivins’ lab] is not
as conclusive as stated in the DOJ Investigative Summary.”

In
short, these were serious and widespread mainstream doubts about the
FBI’s case against Ivins, and those have never been resolved. U.S.
institutions seemingly agreed to simply move on without ever addressing
lingering scientific and other evidentiary questions regarding whether
Ivins was really involved in the anthrax attacks and, if so, how it was
possible that he could have carried out this sophisticated attack within
a top-secret U.S. Army lab acting alone. So whitewashed is this history
that doubts about whether the FBI found the real perpetrator are now
mocked by smug Smart People as a fringe conspiracy theory rather than
what they had been: the consensus of mainstream institutions.

But what we do know for certain
from this anthrax investigation is quite serious. And because it is
quite relevant to the current debates over the origins of COVID-19, it
is well-worth reviewing. A trove of emails
from Dr. Anthony Fauci — who was the government’s top infectious
disease specialist during the AIDS pandemic, the anthrax attacks, and
the COVID pandemic — was published on Monday by BuzzFeed after
they were produced pursuant to a FOIA request. Among other things, they
reveal that in February and March of last year — at the time that Fauci
and others were dismissing any real possibility that the coronavirus
inadvertently escaped from a lab, to the point that the Silicon Valley
monopolies Facebook and Google banned any discussion of that theory —
Fauci and his associates and colleagues were privately discussing the possibility that the virus had escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, possibly as part of a U.S.-funded joint program with the scientists at that lab.

Last week, BBC reported
that “in recent weeks the controversial claim that the pandemic might
have leaked from a Chinese laboratory — once dismissed by many as a
fringe conspiracy theory — has been gaining traction.” President Biden ordered
an investigation into this lab-leak possibility. And with Democrats now
open to this possibility, “Facebook reversed course Thursday and said
that it would no longer remove posts that claim the virus is man-made,” reported The Washington Post. Nobody can rationally claim to know the origins of COVID, and that is exactly why — as I explained in an interview on the Rising
program this morning — it should be so disturbing that Silicon Valley
monopolies and the WHO/Fauci-led scientific community spent a full year
pretending to have certainty about that “debunked” theory that they
plainly did not possess, to the point where discussions of it were prohibited on social media.

What
we know — but have largely forgotten — from the anthrax case is now
vital to recall. What made the anthrax attacks of 2001 particularly
frightening was how sophisticated and deadly the strain was. It was not
naturally occurring anthrax. Scientists quickly identified it as the
notorious Ames strain, which researchers at the U.S. Army lab in Fort
Detrick had essentially invented. As PBS’ Frontline program put it
in 2011: “in October 2001, Northern Arizona University microbiologist
Dr. Paul Keim identified that the anthrax used in the attack letters was
the Ames strain, a development he described as ‘chilling’ because that
particular strain was developed in U.S. government laboratories.” As Dr.
Keim recalled in that Frontline interview about his 2001 analysis of the anthrax strain:

We
were surprised it was the Ames strain. And it was chilling at the same
time, because the Ames strain is a laboratory strain that had been
developed by the U.S. Army as a vaccine-challenge strain. We knew that
it was highly virulent. In fact, that’s why the Army used it, because it
represented a more potent challenge to vaccines that were being
developed by the U.S. Army. It wasn’t just some random type of anthrax
that you find in nature; it was a laboratory strain, and that was very
significant to us, because that was the first hint that this might
really be a bioterrorism event.

Why
was the U.S. government creating exotic and extraordinarily deadly
infectious bacterial strains and viruses that, even in small quantities,
could kill large numbers of people? The official position of the U.S.
Government is that it does not engage in offensive bioweapons
research: meaning research designed to create weaponized viruses as
weapons of war. The U.S. has signed treaties barring such research. But
in the wake of the anthrax attacks — especially once the FBI’s own
theory was that the anthrax was sent by a U.S. Army scientist from his
stash at Fort Detrick — U.S. officials were forced to acknowledge that
they do engage in defensive bioweapons research: meaning
research designed to allow the development of vaccines and other
defenses in the event that another country unleashes a biological
attack.

But
ultimately, that distinction barely matters. For both offensive and
defensive bioweapons research, scientists must create, cultivate,
manipulate and store non-natural viruses in their labs, whether to study
them for weaponization or for vaccines. A fascinating-in-retrospect New Yorker article
from March, 2002, featured the suspicions of molecular biologist
Barbara Hatch Rosenberg, who had “strongly implied that the F.B.I. was
moving much more slowly in its anthrax investigation than it had any
reason to.” Like The New York Times, the magazine (without
naming him) detailed her speculation that Dr. Hatfill was the
perpetrator (though her theory about his motive — that he wanted to
scare people about anthrax in order to increase funding for research —
was virtually identical to the FBI’s ultimate accusations about Dr.
Ivins’ motives).

But
the key point that is particularly relevant now is what all of this
said about the kind of very dangerous research the U.S. Government,
along with other large governments, conducts in bioweapons research
labs. Namely, they manufacture and store extremely lethal biological
agents that, if they escape from the lab either deliberately or
inadvertently, can jeopardize the human species. As the article put it:

The
United States officially forswore biological-weapons development in
1969, and signed the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention, along with many
other nations. But Rosenberg believes that the American bioweapons
program, which won’t allow itself to be monitored, may not be in strict
compliance with the convention. If the perpetrator of the anthrax
attacks is who she thinks it is, that would put the American program in a
bad light, and it would prove that she was right to demand that the
program be monitored.

If
the government is saying that the perpetrator was probably an American,
it’s hard to imagine how it couldn’t have been an American who worked
in a government-supported bioweapons lab. Think back to the panicky
month of October [2001]: would knowing that have made you less nervous,
or more?

Having
extensively reported on the FBI’s investigation into the anthrax case
and ultimate claim to have solved it, I continue to share all the doubts
that were so widely expressed at the time about whether any of that was
true. But what we know for certain is that the U.S. government and
other governments do conduct research which requires the manufacture of
deadly viruses. Dr. Fauci has acknowledged that the U.S. government indirectly funded
research by the Wuhan Institute of Virology into coronaviruses, though
he denies that this was for so-called “gain of function” research, whereby naturally occurring viruses are manipulated to make them more transmissible and/or more harmful to humans.

We
do not know for sure if the COVID-19 virus escaped from the Wuhan lab,
another lab, or jumped from animals to humans. But what we do know for
certain — from the anthrax investigation — is that governments most
definitely conduct the sort of research that could produce novel
coronaviruses. Dr. Rosenberg, the subject of the 2002 New Yorker article,
was suggesting that the F.B.I. was purposely impeding its own
investigation because they knew that the anthrax actually came from the
U.S. government’s own lab and wanted to prevent exposure of the real
bio-research that is done there. We should again ponder why the
pervasive mainstream doubts about the F.B.I.’s case against Ivins have
been memory-holed. We should also reflect on what we learned about
government research into highly lethal viruses from that still-strange
episode.

Andrew Brown: weer geen vervolging voor agenten die gekleurde automobilist vermoordden

BBC kwam afgelopen woensdag met het nieuws dat de 3 agenten die Andrew Brown op 21 april jl. vermoordden, niet zullen worden vervolgd……. Op de video van de politie is te zien dat een agent in de buurt van het portier staat als Brown achteruitrijdt en daarna wil doorrijden om aan vervolging te ontkomen. Bij het vervolgen van zijn weg zou hij een agent bijna hebben aangereden, echter de beelden laten volgens de familie en Ben Crump iets anders zien….. Crump is één van de advocaten die de familie van Brown bijstaat, hij vertegenwoordigde eerder o.a. de familie van George Floyd en als de familie van Brown constateert hij dat het hier om een ‘kill shot’ tegen het achterhoofd gaat (een schot gericht op Crumps [achter-] hoofd dat was bedoeld om hem te doden, ofwel te vermoorden). 

Volgens de familie werd Brown 5 keer geraakt, maar volgens de politie gaat het om 2 van de 14 schoten die Brown raakten, 1 in de schouder en 1 in het achterhoofd, de rest waren ‘shrapnel
wounds’ (delen van kogels* die Brown zouden hebben geraakt, al is duidelijk te zien dat de agenten hun wapens richtten op Brown, wapens waaronder een automatisch wapen, althans als je het beeld goed bekijkt >> zie daarvoor de agent die zich het dichtst bij de camera bevindt en met dat wapen gericht op Brown nog een stap in de richting van diens auto zet >> te zien op de fletse foto in het hieronder opgenomen BBC artikel)……. 

Brown was ongewapend en op het moment dat hij dodelijk werd getroffen had hij beide handen aan het stuur, vandaar dat men met het bizarre verhaal komt dat Brown zijn auto als wapen had gebruikt, terwijl daarvoor op de politie video van slechte kwaliteit geen bewijs is te vinden…… Sterker nog: er waren nog 4 agenten aanwezig die niet hun wapen trokken, blijkbaar zagen zij het gedrag van Brown niet als bedreigend voor de politie…… Eén van de 3 agenten stond al bekend als gewelddadig…… De politie beweert dat Brown met z’n auto één van de agenten zou hebben geraakt echter van opname in een ziekenhuis e.d. is geen sprake geweest, wel raakte deze agent zelf de motorkap aan toen Brown voorbijreed……. En dan nog dit: de openbaar aanklager had de agenten voor hun actie al verteld dat Andrew Brown niet bekend stond als wapendragend en zoals gezegd hij was ongewapend op het moment dat hij werd vermoord……….

Heel smerig ook van openbaar aanklager Andrew Womble om Brown te beschuldigen van drugshandel waarbij Womble stelde dat Brown cocaïne en heroïne gemengd met fentanyl zou hebben verkocht, waarbij hij tevens liet weten dat Brown eerder al arrestatie wilde voorkomen en bekend stond als ‘gewelddadig…….’ Daarmee Brown demoniserend bij het grote publiek in de VS dat voor een fiks deel elke drugsdealer de doodstraf wenst (nogmaals: terwijl dezelfde Womble de agenten had gezegd dat Brown niet bekend stond als wapendragend….)

Niet voor niets dan ook dat de familie spreekt van zowel een belediging als een klap in het gezicht……. 

Schande dat er zelfs geen aanzet is om het hele VS politiekorps door te lichten op gewelddadige psychopaten en racisten (fascisten), nee het is hobbelen van de ene politiemoord naar de andere….. Moet zeggen dat het bijna onbegrijpelijk is dat de gekleurde bevolking in de VS niet massaal in opstand komt na de zoveelste van het enorme aantal politiemoorden op gekleurden die voor een heel groot deel niets eens waren bewapend en waarvan je bijna niet anders kan dan concluderen dat de politie in de VS de kans op vervolging na het neerschieten van een gekleurde zo klein acht dat men wel durft te moorden: ordinaire sadistische moorden!!! (zoals nu ook weer wordt bewezen met de moord op Andrew Brown >> vergeet niet dat de veroordeling van Chauvin, de politiemoordenaar die George Floyd vermoordde, één van de uitzonderingen is…….)

The
officers involved in the fatal shooting of a black motorist during an
attempted arrest in North Carolina will not face criminal charges.

The Elizabeth City district attorney told reporters the police shooting of Andrew Brown, 42, was “justified”.

Officials say Mr Brown drove his car at police during the 44-second encounter.

Mr Brown’s family say he was “executed”. A private post-mortem examination said he was shot five times, including in the back.

But
authorities said on Tuesday that Mr Brown was shot twice: in the
shoulder and the back of the head. The other injuries were shrapnel
wounds, they said.

His
death on 21 April sparked protests against police brutality, and comes
at a time of heightened scrutiny over the use of police force on African
Americans.

What did the district attorney say?

In
a news conference on Tuesday, District Attorney Andrew Womble said Mr
Brown “posed an immediate threat to the safety of the officers” when he
ignored commands and tried to evade arrest, using his car as a “deadly
weapon”.

Police
in full tactical gear had gone to Mr Brown’s home in Elizabeth City to
serve arrest and search warrants related to drug charges, Mr Womble
said, and “they could not simply let him go as has been suggested”.

The district attorney said Mr Brown was a known drug dealer who had sold cocaine and heroin laced with fentanyl.

Mr
Womble said the Pasquotank County officers involved in the arrest had
been briefed beforehand on Mr Brown’s criminal history of charges for
resisting arrest and convictions for assault.

He also said deputies were told that Mr Brown was not known usually to carry weapons. No weapons were found in the vehicle.

During the news conference, a bodycam clip of the shooting was projected onto a screen behind Mr Womble.

The
jerky police footage showed officers approaching Mr Brown’s car with
guns drawn. One of the officers reaches for the driver’s side door and
the vehicle reverses.

The
same officer appears to be in the path of the car as it moves forward,
and he seems to avoid being directly struck by the vehicle as he steps
aside, touching the bonnet.

“I
find that the facts of this case clearly illustrate the officers who
used deadly force on Andrew Brown Jr did so reasonably and only when a
violent felon used a deadly weapon to place their lives in danger,” Mr
Womble said.

“The Constitution simply does not require police to gamble with their lives in the face of a serious threat of harm.”

Mr Womble told reporters an officer’s body was struck by the vehicle, but he said no police were injured in the incident.

The
three deputies who fired shots – two white and one black – have been on
leave since it happened. The district attorney noted that none of the
three had prior excessive force complaints. Four other deputies at the
scene did not open fire.

Of the 14 shots fired at the vehicle, Mr Womble noted one appeared to have ricocheted and was found in a nearby house.

The
district attorney, a Republican, also said Mr Brown’s vehicle had been
driving towards an unmarked police van containing officers across the
street.

Mr
Womble told reporters he had not spoken with Mr Brown’s family ahead of
the news conference. He said there were “barriers” in speaking with the
family and their counsel.

What has the family said?

Reacting to Tuesday’s news conference, lawyers for the Brown family said it was “both an insult and a slap in the face”.

Their
statement said: “Not only was the car moving away from officers, but
four of them did not fire their weapons – clearly they did not feel that
their lives were endangered. And the bottom line is that Andrew was
killed by a shot to the back of the head.”

After
reviewing some of the police footage of the shooting at the end of
April, the family has denied that Mr Brown was driving towards police
when he was shot.

“I
saw him executed,” Mr Brown’s son, Khalil Ferebee, said shortly after
viewing the footage. “It’s obvious he was trying to get away.”

“Andrew
had his hands on his steering wheel. He was not reaching for anything.
He wasn’t touching anything,” another lawyer for the family, Chantel
Cherry-Lassiter, told reporters.

Ben
Crump, one of the lawyers representing the family, told a news
conference “it was a kill shot to the back of the head”. Mr Crump has
represented other families in high-profile police shootings of African
Americans, including the relatives of George Floyd.

Following
Tuesday’s briefing, civil rights leader Rev Al Sharpton called Mr
Womble’s defence “bizarre and unconvincing”, and said federal officials
and a special prosecutor should take on the case.

Last
month, the FBI said it had opened a civil rights investigation into the
incident to “determine whether federal laws were violated”.

CIA rekruteert folteraars met een beroep op vrouwenemancipatie: een fikse rel in de VS

Eergisteren is er flink wat tumult ontstaan over een rekruteringsvideo van de CIA, waarin een Latijns-Amerikaanse CIA agent genaamd ‘Mija’ het werken bij deze enorme terreurorganisatie aanprijst als het werken voor een organisatie waar men geen onderscheid maakt tussen de beloning voor man en vrouw, daarbij draagt ze een T-shirt waarop het ‘girl power’ symbool is te zien en de tekst ‘Mija je bent het waard……’ (in het Engels zoals je begrijpt)

Deze Mija stelt in de video onder andere een gekleurde vrouw te zijn, een cisgender*, die gediagnosticeerd werd als zou ze een gegeneraliseerde angststoornis hebben (met de Engelse verkorting GAD), iemand die overal beren op de weg ziet……. ha! ha! ha! ha! In dit geval lachwekkend, wat deze stoornis natuurlijk niet is, daar de CIA inderdaad overal gevaar ziet of beter gezegd creëert, daar angst het verdienmodel is van geheime diensten (ook in ons land) en met het creëren van angst hebben deze en andere geheime diensten van de VS (meer dan 25!!) geen moeite waarbij men zich bedient van leugens, bedrog en andere manipulaties…… Als het daarbij gaat om onwillige buitenlandse regimes: bedienen deze geheime diensten zich van het organiseren van opstanden en draaien zelfs de hand niet om voor het plegen van coups, waarbij men dit in eigen land verkoopt als ‘het beschermen van de VS……’

Op meer manieren geeft Mija aan dat ze een zelfstandige vrouw is en commentaar aan het eind van de video luidt: weet wat je waard bent, regel je omgeving. Mija je bent het waard…….. Iemand heeft als commentaar onder de video toegevoegd dat mensen in andere delen van de wereld, die ook maar even proberen hun omgeving te regelen, vaak eindigen als vermoord door de CIA of worden vermoord door figuren die in opdracht van de CIA handelen……

Het is uiteraard te ziek voor woorden dat de CIA zaken misbruikt als die uit de vrouwenstrijd en dat voor een continent waar de CIA op vreselijke manieren regimes heeft getraind te martelen en dat ook zelf heeft gedaan, waarbij de vreselijkste vormen van marteling NB werden gebruikt op vrouwen…….. (martelingen beschreven door Caitlin Johnstone in het hieronder opgenomen artikel)……. De CIA is zelfs verantwoordelijk voor moorden op milieuactivisten in Latijns-Amerika, zoals de moord op Berta Cáceres….**

Ongelofelijk te zien en te lezen dat de CIA werkelijk alles en iedereen kan misbruiken om haar terreur over de wereld uit te oefenen en dat ook nog eens voor een groot deel doet met inkomsten uit drugshandel….. Velen stellen dan ook dat de CIA, andere geheime diensten in de VS, waaronder de FBI en de DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) de grootste drugsimporteurs zijn in de VS…..

Lees het artikel van Caitlin en zegt het voort, de hoogste tijd dat iedereen de CIA gaat zien voor wat het werkelijk is: de grootste terreurorganisatie ter wereld!! Zodat men eindelijk de reguliere westerse media kan aanwijzen als brengers van fake nieuws (nepnieuws), ander bedrog en smerige manipulaties, die er geen moeite mee hebben om alle leugens van de CIA of NSA blindelings over te nemen…… Waarbij de ‘journalisten’ niet zelden stellen dat ze hun berichten hebben gecontroleerd, terwijl die controle bestaat uit het kijken of andere massamedia deze berichten ook hebben overgenomen, zonder dat men de inhoud daadwerkelijk kritisch heeft onderzocht……. Social media was ablaze yesterday over a CIA recruiting video which you should definitely watch if you haven’t seen it already, because it has to be seen to be believed.

The video features a Latina CIA officer proudly describing her ascent to her position in one of the most depraved institutions
that has ever existed using a jaw-dropping fountain of social justice
buzzwords and appeals to Latin American culture while wearing a t-shirt
featuring a girl power symbol and the caption “Mija, you are worth it.”

“I
am a woman of color, I am a mom, I am a cisgender millennial who’s been
diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD),” she says. “I am
intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise. I am a
walking declaration. A woman whose inflection does not rise at the end
of her sentences suggesting that a question has been asked.”

“I
did not sneak into the CIA,” says the officer over
inspirational-sounding music, adding, “At 36, I refuse to internalize
misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be.”

“Know your worth, command your space. Mija, you are worth it,” the video concludes.

“People
in other parts of the world who make even modest efforts to ‘command
their space’ often end up murdered by the CIA or its proxies,” someone commented under the video.

It’s
honestly one of the most appalling things I’ve ever seen. To see ideas
and values that are intended to protect and elevate disempowered members
of the human community exploited to promote an immensely powerful
government agency notorious for its down-punching assaults on those very
populations is horrifying, to put it mildly.

This would after all be the same CIA that has inflicted many murderous and catastrophic interventions upon the world in general and Latin America in particular. The same lying, drug-running, warmongering, propagandizing, psychological terrorizing institution whose extensive use of torture has reportedly included
“Rape, gang rape, rape using eels, snakes, or hard objects, and rape
followed by murder; electric shock (‘the Bell Telephone Hour’) rendered
by attaching wires to the genitals or other sensitive parts of the body,
like the tongue; the ‘water treatment’; the ‘airplane’ in which the
prisoner’s arms were tied behind the back, and the rope looped over a
hook on the ceiling, suspending the prisoner in midair, after which he
or she was beaten; beatings with rubber hoses and whips; the use of
police dogs to maul prisoners.”

So
it’s understandable that a video promoting this agency using language
intended to uplift women, Latin Americans, and those struggling with
mental illness has been met with widespread ridicule and mockery. Of course, it was only a matter of time before this outrage elevated the video to the attention of mainstream conservatives and it was turned into another vapid partisan issue.

“China and Russia are laughing their asses off watching CIA go full woke,” tweeted Donald Trump Jr. “‘Cisgender.’ ‘Intersectional.’ It’s like The Babylon Bee is
handling CIA’s comms. If you think about it, wokeness is the kind of
twisted PSYOP a spy agency would invent to destroy a country from the
inside out.”

Yes Junior, the CIA is trying to destroy the very empire it exists to defend, using “wokeness”. Fucking moron.

“The
CIA once had a mission against the Soviets, then Al Qaeda, but it is
now a slothful, wasteful bureaucracy, overrun with politically correct
slogans and militant mediocrity- as is the whole ‘intelligence
community’,” tweeted radio host Buck Sexton.

Yeah
the CIA was awesome when it was murdering and torturing Muslims and
communists, but now it’s just a wasteful bureaucracy. Putz.

To be clear, here are the things we learned from the CIA’s “I am intersectional” video:

  • The CIA has unbelievable audacity.
  • There is no value system the CIA won’t exploit.
  • The politics of identity are not in and of themselves enough to meaningfully challenge power.

Here are the things we did not learn from the CIA’s “I am intersectional” video:

  • Inclusiveness is bad.
  • Republicans are smart.

The
video is significant because it shows an agency staffed entirely by
sociopaths using extremely manipulative language to advance its
predatory agendas, not because it vindicates your dopey ideology. It’s
so dumb and depressing how everything real gets twisted and bogged down
into fake partisan bullshit.

The CIA can use, has used, and will use any
ideological position to advance its agendas. That’s what’s so creepy
about the video: it’s a high-budget, in-your-face example of how
predatory manipulators operate, and it sets off our predation alarms.
It’s not because “woke bad”.

Sociopaths
don’t use language like normal human beings; normal people use language
for connection and communication, while sociopaths use it for
manipulation and control. Seeing it laid out openly, with language toyed
with in a way that is entirely divorced from human value, is
shudder-inducing.

Still,
it is in some sense comforting to know that after all this time, after
all that practice, after all that research into the mechanics of the
human mind, and even with all its vast resources, the CIA can still make
a sloppy propaganda video that is subject to viral disgust. They might
be sociopaths, they might have an immense budget supplemented by their
own covert drug trafficking programs,
but at least the missing empathy centers in their brains sometimes make
it difficult for them to understand normal human beings enough to
manipulate them effectively.

It’s
just so crazy that people still support this warped, perverse
institution. It says so much about the power of Hollywood brainwashing,
and about the power of denial. People just assume the CIA no longer does
the profoundly evil things we know for a fact it has done in the past,
and this assumption is based on literally nothing. It’s based on no
factual evidence whatsoever. It’s believed because it is comfortable.

You
can be sure that when the next revelation about some unfathomably evil
thing the CIA did in the past comes out, people will say “Boy I’m sure
glad it’s not like that anymore! Today’s CIA is intersectional!”

Inept sociopaths go to prison.

Mediocre sociopaths become cops.

Effective sociopaths become CEOs.

Bidens oorlog tegen binnenlandse terreur ook gericht tegen o.a. dierenactivisten en milieugroepen

Eerder dit jaar heb ik al aandacht besteed aan het feit dat Joe Biden, de architect van de PATRIOT Act, een extra wet wil aannemen*, maar anders dan de PATRIOT Act, is deze gericht tegen binnenlandse terreur, alles n.a.v. de bestorming van het Capitol op 6 januari door Trump aanhang……. Echter de PATRIOT Act werd al misbruikt om iedereen in de VS met een internetaansluiting  in de gaten te houden…… De schrijver van het artikel hieronder opgenomen, Leighton Woodhouse, vraagt zich af of we nu werkelijk moeten denken dat de PATRIOT Act 2.0 ofwel Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act (DTPA) zich alleen richt op gewelddadige racistische psychopaten, terwijl hij het antwoord al heeft gegeven: nee, met deze nieuwe wet zal men ook geweldloos verzet aanmerken als terreur, bijvoorbeeld verzet tegen grootschalige dierenmishandeling en mensen die zich vreedzaam verzetten tegen zaken als het aanleggen van een oliepijpleiding over de heilige gronden van de oorspronkelijke bevolking (al zal elke oliepijpleiding na verloop van tijd grote lekkages oplopen die bodem, ondergrond, grondwater en rivieren op een vreselijke manier vervuilen……)

Woodhouse noemt als voorbeeld van zware dierenmishandeling het wegwerken van ‘overschot aan varkensvlees’: door de Coronacrisis verdween een groot deel van de vraag naar varkensvlees (overigens ook door een boycot van China als reactie op de zoveelste sanctieverzwaring door de Trump administratie). De schoftenbedrijven die duizenden varkens hielden,hadden niet de mogelijkheid om varkens maar groter te laten worden, vanwege kosten voor voer en gebrek aan ruimte, ‘vandaar’ dat men de koeling van stallen uitzette, de ventilatie afsloot zodat dieren een afschuwelijke doodstrijd moesten voeren van vaak een paar uur, daarna gingen medewerkers de stallen in met een pistool en vermoordden elk dier dat nog een teken van leven gaf….. 

Een chauffeur die zich het lot van de dieren aantrok schakelde een dierenactivist in, deze sloop heimelijk de stallen in bij wat ze in de VS een factory farm noemen en plaatste daar op meerdere plekken camera’s zodat deze zware dierenmishandeling kon worden getoond aan buitenstaanders….. Je snapt het al, niet de boeren die verantwoordelijk waren voor dit vreselijke dierenleed werden aangepakt maar degene die zich het lot van de dieren aantrok, terwijl deze met diens werk niemand in gevaar bracht…..

Woodhouse haalt een eerder geval aan: in 2011 ging een dierenactivist van Mercy For Animals  (MFA) undercover werken bij Iowa Select Farms (ISF) en plaatste geheime camera’s waarmee deze het inhumane dierenleed 4 maanden lang filmde en naar buiten bracht. ISF kreeg hierdoor zware klappen daar supermarkten niet langer de door hen geleverde delen van kadavers wilden verkopen….. Het jaar daarop kreeg de lobby van dierenbeulen het voor elkaar dat er nieuwe wetgeving werd aangenomen (zogenaamde ‘Ag Gag’ wetgeving, die overigens in meerdere landbouwstaten werd doorgevoerd) waarmee de daden van dierenactivisme strafbaar werden gesteld, zoals het stiekem filmen en het daanra openbaren van vreselijke dierenmishandeling…… De wetten waren vaak slecht opgesteld zodat een federale rechter in 2019 een aantal van die wetten als onwettig aanmerkte, ook de wet die in Iowa in 2012 werd aangenomen.

Echter de lobby van deze dierenbeulen zat niet stil en bewerkten gouverneurs zoals de nieuwe gouverneur voor Iowa, Kim Reynolds die een grote gift had ontvangen van 2 leden van ISF en een maand nadat Reynolds werd geïnstalleerd voerde hij verdere Ag Gag wetgeving door……

Met de nieuwe DTPA wetgeving die Biden wil doorvoeren zal men straks bijna elk verzet tegen onrecht, racisme, dierenmishandeling en milieuvervuiling aanmerken als binnenlands terrorisme, hoe vreedzaam de groepen ook zijn die zich hiermee bezighouden…… In feite is dat een verdere aantasting van de vrijheid van meningsuiting en gelegaliseerde schending van mensenrechten…… 

Kortom: de VS gaat verder op het pad van politiestaat en geeft daarbij de grote bedrijven, ‘factory farms’ als ISF een carte blanche om met dieren te doen wat men wil, zoals het doodmartelen van varkens zoals hierboven beschreven…… In de VS noemt men dit soort activisten ‘links’, niet alleen in de politiek maar vooral ook in de reguliere media, zo kan je concluderen dat de jacht op links (‘communisten’) zoals eind 40er en begin 50er jaren onder McCarthy een nieuwe jas krijgt en waarbij alles dat lijkt op verzet tegen de inhumane neoliberale status quo zal worden weggezet als linkse terreur………

Moet nog wel opmerken dat het hier niet veel beter is, dierenactivisten worden meestal ook verguisd in de politiek en de media, hoe barbaars de zaken ook zijn die deze activisten aankaarten…….(zoals een paar jaar geleden toen dierenactivisten inbrakien in stallen van varkensboeren en filmden wat ze aan zware dierenmishandeling aantroffen….)

The Targets of Biden’s War on “Domestic Extremists” May Not Be Who You Think

Illustrating
the dangers of the federal government’s war on “domestic extremists,”
animal rights activists are being prosecuted under a capacious
definition of “terrorism.”

Last May, several months
into a global pandemic that had capsized the economy, hog farmers had a
problem on their hands. With restaurants closed, demand for their
product had evaporated. With outbreaks shuttering meat processing plants
all over the country, they had nowhere to send their animals to be
slaughtered. If kept alive, the pigs would quickly outgrow facilities
designed to hold them only for highly abbreviated lives, and the costs
of feeding and watering them would become astronomical.

So
some major pork producers, among them Iowa’s largest, Iowa Select
Farms, made a horrifying decision. They would mass exterminate their
animals in one fell swoop, using a technique that promised efficiency
for themselves but guaranteed incomprehensible suffering for the pigs.

The method was called “ventilation shutdown,”
and it entailed, basically, roasting the pigs alive. Workers would
close all of the vents into the barns, shut down the air conditioning,
and pipe steam into the buildings until the animals died by asphyxiation
or hyperthermia, a process that took several hours. Then a worker would
walk through the piles of corpses with a captive bolt gun, shooting
whatever stragglers had survived.

The
company, however, was unaware that there was a whistleblower within
their ranks. An ISF truck driver named Lucas Walker, who had long been
appalled by the company’s treatment of its pigs, had informed an
activist named Matt Johnson of the company’s plans. Johnson snuck into
the barns, placed hidden cameras, and recorded video and audio of the
massacre to later release to the news media.

Neither
Johnson nor Walker is what most people of conscience would consider a
dangerous political extremist. They had no desire to bring any physical
harm to anyone; on the contrary, they were moved by the cause of putting
a halt to needless suffering. But both a new state law in Iowa and a
bill currently being considered in Congress could render them such in
the eyes of the criminal justice system. It is just one example of the
moral hazard posed by the ongoing effort in Congress and within the
Biden administration to erect a new domestic security state apparatus in
response to the Trump years and the Capitol Riot — an effort the CIA
has joined, while animal rights groups and environmental campaigners
have been explicitly listed among its targets.

In 2011, Iowa Select Farms
had been the subject of an undercover investigation by the animal
rights group Mercy For Animals. Liz Pachaud, an animal rights activist
with MFA, had taken a job at the farm and, over the course of four
months, documented appalling conditions
there with an undercover camera. When the gruesome footage was
released, it caused a major crisis for ISF, with numerous grocery chains
dropping the company as a supplier.

The
following year, the animal agriculture industry successfully lobbied
the Iowa state legislature to make what Pachaud had done a crime. The
law was one of many so-called “Ag Gag” laws in agricultural states
across the country, which make undercover investigations on factory
farms by animal rights groups unlawful (an estimated 99 percent
of animals raised for meat are factory farmed; the very few small
family farms that are left are being systematically driven out of
business by the industrialization and economic consolidation of the
industry). As Ag gag laws effectively criminalize speech, some of the
more sloppily written among them have been subject to successful
constitutional challenges; Iowa’s 2012 law was among them. In 2019, a
federal judge struck down Iowa’s 2012 law.

That
same month, a new Governor took office in Iowa. Kim Reynolds had won
her office in 2018 with the conspicuous help of Iowa Select Farms. ISF’s
co-owners, Jeff and Deborah Hansen, have donated nearly $300,000 to
Governor Reynolds. During the 2018 race, Deborah was the Governor’s
biggest individual campaign contributor. Kim Reynolds had been the guest
of honor at the Hansens’ family foundation.

Governor
Reynolds had barely been in office a month before a newly re-written Ag
Gag bill was introduced into the legislature. By summer, she had signed
it into law.

Now,
Johnson has become the first person to be charged under the 2019 Ag Gag
law for attempting to enter one ISF facility. He is facing a separate
wiretap charge for the hidden cameras in the barn where the company
carried out its ventilation shutdown. In the meantime, yet another Ag
Gag law has passed through the Iowa legislature, which increases
penalties for the crime of planting hidden cameras in animal agriculture
facilities. Governor Reynolds is expected to sign the new bill into law
any day now.

As
should surprise nobody who lived through the political aftermath of
9/11, these laws were passed under the pretext of combatting
“terrorism.” Radical animal rights and environmental activists have, in
fact, long been among the FBI’s top “domestic terrorism” targets,
as well as targets of draconian new legislation. In 2006, at the behest
of the pharmaceutical and animal agriculture industries, Congress
passed a law specifically defining animal rights activism aimed at
“damaging or interfering with the operations of an animal enterprise” —
whether or not violence was involved — as “terrorism.” Direct Action
Everywhere (DxE), the group Johnson belongs to (I used to cover DxE as a
reporter and have since become a member myself), was the subject of a major FBI investigation over the “theft” of two dying piglets from a factory farm. After he was discovered, the FBI interviewed Walker,
asking him if DxE sells drugs or guns to finance their activism, and
tried to recruit him as an informant into their activities.

This
dismal history should be an obvious cautionary tale about the hazards
of enhancing the state’s power to surveil and prosecute people for
politically motivated activity, beyond the ample criminal laws already
on the books. But in the wake of the January 6 MAGA Capitol Riot,
progressives, in particular, have gained an appetite for more.

Currently, a bill
with 196 Democratic co-sponsors (and 3 Republicans) is before Congress,
which would begin to build the legal and bureaucratic architecture for
an interagency domestic terrorism response unit within the Department of
Justice, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The
legislation is explicitly a response to the Capitol Riot
and is pointed particularly at “White supremacist” and “neo-Nazi”
groups — a particularly unsympathetic and uncontroversial cast of
culprits.

But
the PATRIOT Act was also purported to target only the most hateful,
murderous people in the world — Islamic terrorists — before it
metastasized into a massive surveillance state infrastructure that spied
on literally every single American with an internet connection. Are we
to expect that a domestic analogue to the PATRIOT Act will draw the line
at violent sociopathic racists? The intelligence community demonstrably
does not: a recently declassified report
lists animal rights and environmental activists, abortion activists on
both the pro-life and the pro-choice sides, anarchists, and
anti-capitalists as potential domestic terrorist threats.

If we’ve learned anything from the last few years, it’s that corporations are all too eager to co-opt the progressive rhetoric du jour, whether to sell sneakers or to protect themselves
against workplace discrimination lawsuits. And the FBI has been more
than willing to investigate activists engaged in non-violent activities as terrorists
under the 2006 Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. A new domestic federal
law enforcement bureaucracy dedicated to surveilling and investigating
anyone the government claims to suspect is a “terrorist” would be a
bonanza to industries facing concerted activist pressure, whether animal
agriculture or fossil fuels, or a company in any industry facing a
unionization drive. What possible reason is there to believe that
corporations won’t lobby the Biden administration and future
administrations to use their new powers to ensnare activists who
campaign against them, all in the name of ridding the country of violent
political extremists and “insurrectionists”?

The
answer is that there is no reason to believe it, and every reason to
believe the hunt for “domestic terrorists” could eventually be turned
against anyone with the will and the means to effectively confront those
who hold concentrated political and corporate power — including through
strictly non-violent means. A demonstrated willingness to use violence
has never been a requisite for law enforcement agencies to brand those
they wish to malign as “terrorists”, as DxE activists know all too well. All that’s required is their willingness to use the label.

After
9/11, passage of the PATRIOT Act was enabled by the bullying of
dissidents in a climate of enforced jingoism. It was dangerous to ask
critical questions then; safety was found only in conformity. We’re in
such a moment again, but this time from within a liberal rather than a
right-wing consensus. But the outcome will be the same: the hardening of
state power, made possible through organized collective hysteria.

Gisteren
was het 21 jaar geleden dat politiek-artiest Mark Lombardi werd
vermoord, hij zou zich hebben gesuïcideerd……..

Mark
maakte jaren voor de aanslag op de Twin Towers een kunstwerk waarmee
hij de banden tussen de Bush en Bin Laden families en andere samenzweerders van 9/11 blootlegde en
daarmee in feite die aanslagen voorspelde…..

Waarom
zou iemand die net is doorgebroken met z’n werk zichzelf verhangen???
Suïcide de manier om ‘vervelende vips’ uit de weg te ruimen, een
specialiteit van de FBI en de CIA……

Valt me

political murders and then stage them to look like suicides – and
there are – don’t you think that it’s quite a coincidence than

very same way, “suicide” by hanging in New York City.

Media in de VS steunen de leugens van de CIA dat Rusland de verkiezingen in de VS heeft gemanipuleerd met nul komma nada bewijs

Gisteren
schreef ik al een bericht over de nieuwe meer dan belachelijke
aantijgingen van de geheime diensten in de VS als zouden Rusland,
China, Iran, Venezuela en zelfs Hezbollah de verkiezingen in de VS
hebben gemanipuleerd of dat hebben geprobeerd en zoals gewoonlijk
zonder ook maar één nanometer aan bewijs……*

GlennGreenwald heeft een uitgebreid artikel over deze zaak gepubliceerd
op zijn site, waarin hij begint met het analyseren van de leugen gebracht door
geheime diensten en de reguliere (massa-) media in de VS over de het
lekken van gegevens afkomstig van de laptop van Hunter Biden, die in
handen kwam van de New York Post.

De
New York Post publiceerde documenten van deze laptop waaruit bleek
dat Hunter Biden en andere familieleden misbruik maakten van de naam
Joe Biden (die immers eerder vicepresident was onder
oorlogsmisdadiger Obama) om zaken te doen met Oekraïne, China en
andere landen.

Voormalige
hooggeplaatsten van de CIA en leden van andere geheime diensten in de
VS, stelden dat het om Russische desinformatie ging….. Twitter en
Facebook besloten daarop de New York Post de toegang tot hun platform
te ontzeggen……. John Brennan, CIA directeur onder Obama, heeft samen
met de al aangehaalde figuren uit de geheime diensten een brief opgesteld waarin
men stelde dat de zaak alle kenmerken had van Russische informatie
operaties….. Hoewel dezelfde figuren benadrukten dat ze niet
wisten of de gepubliceerde e-mails echt waren en dat ze geen bewijs
hadden van Russische manipulatie…… (moet je nagaan….)

Echter
deze toevoeging was voor de media die deze leugen brachten geen reden
om in te binden, integendeel men ging gewoon door en Facebook stelde
zelfs een algoritme in te zetten om berichtgeving over deze zaak
tegen te houden……. En dan te bedenken dat eerder een zogenaamde
Russische trollenfarm zich in de VS bevond, terwijl al lang bekend is
uit publikaties van de Wikileaks Vault 7
documenten dat de VS op grote schaal hackt en daarbij cyberterreur
begaat en spioneert maar dat op een slimme manier kan doen lijken alsof
bijvoorbeeld Rusland, China, Iran, of Noord Korea de dader is…….

Glenn
Greenwald, van The Intercept, die wel over deze zaak berichtte,werd
terechtgewezen door zijn meerderen die hem wilden dwingen om passages
over Biden weg te laten,waarop zijn artikel niet werd geplaatst
en Greenwald besloot The Intercept te verlaten.

Het
is zelfs zo zot dat een redacteur van de Washington Post stelde dat
‘we de Hunter Biden lekken moeten behandelen alsof ze van een
buitenlandse geheime dienst komen, zelfs als ze dat waarschijnlijk
niet zijn……’ (knettergek!!) De enige keer dat de regering van
de VS reageerde op deze zaak, middels de Director of National
Intelligence (DNI), stelde deze dat Bidens laptop geen deel uitmaakt van
een Russische desinformatie campagne……….

Ach
het is een herhaling van zetten in de Russiagate leugen, ook daarvoor
is totaal geen bewijs geleverd, echter men houdt gewoon driftig vol
dat dit wel zo is, overigens ook in de rest van het westen, waaronder
Nederland….. Gistermorgen op BNR rond 8.51 u. de meer dan belachelijke
‘buitenlanddeskundige’ Hammelburg, deze enorme flapdrol (letterlijk en
figuurlijk) sprak over de uitlating van Biden dat Putin een
moordenaar is. Daarbij noemde hij Sputnik de ‘roeptoeter van de
Russische overheid’, gelul >> op Sputnik wordt wel degelijk
kritiek geleverd op de overheid, maar zelfs als dat zo zou zijn, zie
de VS, waar niet 1 of 2 mediaorganen de overheid zouden dienen als
roeptoeter, maar een hele reeks, van de New York Times tot CNN en daarvoor is een dossierkast aan bewijzen te leveren…..

Volgens
Biden (en Hammelburg) is Putin een moordenaar als het gaat om Navalny…… Als Putin de neonazi Navalny had willen laten vermoorden was deze bewezen misdadiger al lang en
breed onder de zoden verdwenen, bovendien kan deze ploert niet zijn
vergiftigd met novitsjok daar hij dan dood zou zijn, immers een vergiftiging
daarmee is zonder meer dodelijk voor iedereen die er onbeschermd mee in aanraking
komt!!! Hammelburg durfde NB nog te stellen dat Putin ook een
moordenaar is vanwege het ontwikkelen in Rusland van biologische en
chemische wapens…… ha! ha! ha! ha! (vanmorgen herhaalde Hammelburg zijn leugens op BNR waar hij nu ook de Skripals aan toevoegde….)

Er
zijn 3 naties op de wereld die deze wapens vrij openlijk ontwikkelen
en dat zijn de VS (o.a. in Fort Detrick), Israël en Egypte….. In juli
2019 ontsnapte er ‘een virus’ uit één van de leger laboratoria van
Fort Detrick, waarop de basis werd ontruimd….. Een paar maanden
later vonden de militaire wereldspelen plaats in het Chinese Wuhan en
nog een paar maanden later werden de eerste gevallen van het
Coronavirus gevonden in Frankrijk, hoewel men dat toen nog niet wist,
een herbeoordeling van stalen bloed, afgenomen in november 2019
toonden aan dat deze mensen het… Coronavirus onder de leden
hadden…. Pas meer dan een maand laten, dus eind december 2019 werd
het eerste geval van Coronavirus ontdekt in China……… Ra ra hoe
is het allemaal mogelijk?? Intussen is zelfs bekend geworden dat het Coronavirus al eerder werd gevonden in later opnieuw beoordeelde bloedmonsters……

Uiteraard
herhaalde Hammelburg het verhaal van de geheime diensten in de VS
alsof Rusland, China, Iran e.a. de verkiezingen in de VS hadden
gemanipuleerd of daar een poging toe hadden ondernomen……. Zoals
Hammelburg nog steeds overtuigd is dat Russiagate bewezen is….. ha!
ha! ha! Ha! Deze mislukte zakkenwasser zou eens andere moeten
contacteren als hij weer eens een lulpraatje vertelt voor de radio!!
(hij gaf een aantal maanden gelden toe dat hij vrijwel altijd
‘deskundigen’ raadpleegt voor zijn columns en ander gekoekwaus……
Hé Hammelburg tijd voor echte deskundigen en eigen onderzoek,
waarbij je eens zou moeten zoeken of er bewijzen zijn voor wat je
durft te beweren, enorme hufter!!! (vorig jaar durfde hij mensen die
gebruik maken van de sociale media neer te zetten als kakkerlakken,
je weet wel zoals de nazi’s over minderheden spraken die ze het

Greenwald schreef, dan lees je eindelijk een artikel van een echte
deskundige!!

Journalists,
Illustrating How They Operate, Yesterday Spread a Significant Lie All
Over Twitter

Eager
to obtain vindication for the pre-election falsehood they spread
about the Hunter Biden story, journalists falsely claim that the CIA
blamed Russia for it.

Journalists
with the largest
and most influential media outlets disseminated an outright and quite
significant lie on Tuesday to hundreds of thousands of people, if not
millions, on Twitter. While some of them were shamed into
acknowledging the falsity of their claim, many refused to, causing it
to continue to spread up until this very moment. It is well worth
examining how they function because this is how they deceive the
public again and again, and it is why public trust in their
pronouncements has justifiably
plummeted.

The
lie they told involved claims of Russian involvement in the
procurement of Hunter Biden’s laptop. In the weeks leading up to
the 2020 election, The
New York Post
obtained that laptop and published a series of articles about the
Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine, China and elsewhere.
In response, Twitter banned
the posting of any links to that reporting and locked
The
Post
out
of its Twitter account for close to two weeks, while Facebook, though
a long-time Democratic operative, announced that it would
algorithmically suppress the reporting.

The
excuse used by those social media companies for censoring this
reporting was the same invoked
by media outlets
to justify their refusal to report the contents of these documents:
namely, that the materials were “Russian disinformation.” That
claim of “Russian disinformation” was concocted by a group of
several
dozen former CIA officials
and other operatives of the intelligence community devoted to
defeating Trump. Immediately after The
Post
published its first story about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in
Ukraine that traded on his influence with his father, these career
spies and propagandists, led by Obama CIA Director and serial liar
John Brennan, published a
letter
asserting that the appearance of these Biden documents “has all the
classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

News
outlets uncritically hyped this claim as fact even though these
security state operatives themselves admitted:
“We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails…are
genuine or not and that we
do not have evidence of Russian involvement
— just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the
Russian government played a significant role in this case.” Even
though this claim came from trained liars who, with uncharacteristic
candor, acknowledged that they did not “have evidence” for their
claim, media outlets uncritically ratified this assertion.

This
was a topic I discussed extensively in October when I announced
my resignation from The
Intercept
after senior editors — for the first time in seven years —
violated the contractual prohibition on editorial interference in my
journalism by demanding I significantly alter my reporting about
these documents by removing the sections that reflected negatively on
Biden. What I found particularly galling about their pretense that
they have such high-level and rigorous editorial standards —
standards they claimed, for the first time ever, that my article
failed to meet — was that a mere week prior to their censorship of
my article, they published an
article by a different journalist
which, at a media outlet we created with the explicit purpose of
treating government claims with skepticism, instead
treated the CIA’s claims of “Russian disinformation” as fact.
Even
worse, when they quoted the CIA’s letter, they omitted the part
where even those intelligence agents acknowledged that they had no
evidence for their assertion. From The
Intercept
on October 21:

Their
latest falsehood once again involves Biden, Ukraine, and a laptop
mysteriously discovered in a computer repair shop and passed to the
New York Post, thanks to Trump crony Rudy Giuliani….. The U.S.
intelligence community had previously warned
the White House that Giuliani has been the target of a Russian
intelligence operation to disseminate disinformation about Biden, and
the FBI has been investigating whether the strange story about
the Biden laptop is part
of a Russian disinformation campaign.
This week, a group of former intelligence officials issued a letter
saying that the Giuliani laptop story has the classic
trademarks of
Russian disinformation.

Oh
my, marvel at those extremely rigorous editorial standards:
regurgitating serious accusations from ex-CIA operatives without
bothering to note that they were unaccompanied by evidence and that
even those agents admitted they had none. But, as they usually do
these days, The
Intercept
had plenty of company in the corporate media.

That
those materials were “Russian disinformation” became so
reflexively accepted by the U.S. media that it became the principal
excuse to ignore
and even censor the reporting, and it also helpfully handed the Biden
campaign an easy excuse to avoid answering any questions about what
the documents revealed. “I think we need to be very, very clear
that what he’s doing here is amplifying Russian
misinformation,” said Biden
Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bedingfield when asked about the
prospect that Trump would raise the Biden emails at the debate. From
the CIA’s lips to the mouths of corporate journalists into the
hands of the Biden campaign.

As
the U.S. media disseminated this “disinformation” tale, nobody —
including the Bidens — has ever claimed let alone demonstrated that
a single document was anything other than genuine — something that
would be exceedingly easy to do if the documents were fraudulent.
“The Biden team has rejected some of the claims made in the NY
Post articles, but
has not disputed the authenticity of the [laptop] files upon which
they were based,” acknowledgedThe
New York Times.
Ample evidence corroborates
that the documents are genuine.

As
for the claims of Russian involvement in the laptop story, there was
never any evidence for it: none.
The CIA operatives who invented that storyline acknowledged that. The
week that tale emerged, The
New York Times reported that
“no concrete evidence has emerged that the laptop contains Russian
disinformation” and the paper said even the FBI has “acknowledged
that it had not found any Russian disinformation on the laptop.”
The
Washington Post
published an op-ed by Russia fanatic Thomas Rid who candidly
pronounced:
“We must treat the Hunter Biden leaks as if they were a foreign
intelligence operation — even if they probably aren’t.” And
the only time the U.S. Government has ever spoken on this question
was when the Director of National Intelligence stated:
“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation
campaign.”

These
documents raised important questions about the presidential
frontrunner’s knowledge of or participation in his family members’
attempt to profit off of their association with him, questions
implicating his integrity, ethics and honesty. Yet those documents
were suppressed by a gigantic fraud, perpetrated by the CIA and their
media allies, which claimed that the documents were forged and that
they came from Russia.

That
is the critical context
for the lie spread yesterday by numerous mainstream journalists. On
Tuesday morning, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence
declassified a short 12-page report
entitled “Foreign Threats to the U.S. 2020 Elections.”

It
reviewed the actions of numerous countries with regard to the 2020
election. The intelligence community claimed — without presenting
any evidence whatsoever — that “Russian President Putin
authorized…influence operations aimed at denigrating President
Biden’s candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting former
President Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral
process, and exacerbating sociopolitical divisions in the U.S.” The
New York Times’
largely credulous article
about this report contained this admission, one you would think (or,
rather, hope) would matter to journalists: “The declassified report
did not explain how the intelligence community had reached its
conclusions about Russian operations during the 2020 election.”

Despite
that glaring omission, media outlets predictably treated the
evidence-free assertions from the security state as fact. “Vladimir
Putin did it again,” trumpetedMother

Corn without an iota of skepticism. CNN’s
Marshall Cohen actually said this:

Think
about that: to a CNN
reporter, evidence-free assertions from the U.S. security state are
tantamount to “confirmation.” That they really do think this way
is nothing short of chilling. But that is the standard liberal media
posture of harboring reverence for the U.S. intelligence community
and treating its every utterance as Truth without the need for any
corroborating evidence. It is one of their defining attributes.

But
in this case, many of them went far beyond mere regurgitation of CIA
claims. Well beyond it: here, they fabricated a claim that report
also demonstrated that the Hunter Biden laptop materials were — as
they claimed before the election engineered by Russia. In
reality, the report did not even mention the Hunter Biden laptop
materials or allude to it, let alone claim that it was produced by
the Kremlin, let alone supply evidence that it constituted “Russian
disinformation.” But no matter: numerous journalists united to
spread the false claim far and wide that the report confirmed this
storyline.

The
first journalist to publish the falsehood was Patrick Tucker, an
editor at the journal Defense
One.
The tweet quickly went viral as liberals clicked “retweet” and
“like” so fast that at least several of them likely suffered
digital cartilage damage or at least a mild sprain:

 

The
claim that this report corroborated Russian involvement in the Hunter
laptop story picked up significant steam when MSNBC
host Chris Hayes endorsed it to his 2.3 million followers:

there, the claim was further spread by Hayes’ NBC
News colleague
Ben Collins, who — ironically — works in what the network calls
the “disinformation unit,” combatting the spread of
disinformation (by which Collins means tattling on 4Chan teenagers
and Facebook boomers, while never challenging the lies of real power
centers such as those from the intelligence community; those lies are
ones he amplifies):

 

With
this MSNBC host and the NBC disinformation agent on board, it was off
to the races. Journalists from across the corporate media sphere
spread this lie over and over. Here was CNN’s
Asha Rangappa:

Perhaps
the most embarrassing example was from S.V. Daté, the White House
correspondent of HuffPost
which, just last week, had dozens of its reporters laid
off
perhaps because, while they have numerous talented reporters, this is
the sort of thing they routinely do, causing them to lose trust among
the public. Daté did not just repeat the lie but used it to mock
those who actually did the reporting on these documents (note that
the section he underlined in red says nothing about the Hunter Biden
documents, nor does it say anything about Russia other than it
“amplified” various news stories):

As
this false claim went massively viral, conservativejournalists
— and only
they
— began vocally objecting that the report made no mention
whatsoever of the Hunter Biden laptop, let alone supplied proof for
this claim. That is because, with a few noble exceptions (such as The
Washington Post’s
media critic ErikWemple),
liberal journalists at corporate outlets will eagerly endorse but
never denounce or correct each other’s falsehoods. For that reason,
if you confine yourself to the liberal corporate media bubble, and
refuse to follow conservative journalists as well, you will be
propagandized and deceived.

Hayes,
to his credit, was one of the only journalists who helped spread this
falsehood and then quickly retracted it. He first acknowledged that,
upon reading the report, it did not appear that it actually made any
reference to the Hunter laptop, and then announced he would delete
his original tweet, conceding that the original claim was false. Note
how the original false claims go mega-viral, while the tweets which
subsequently acknowledge their falsity are seen by very few people:

With
one of his earliest boosters having jumped ship, Tucker himself, the
originator of this lie, first began backtracking while vowing he
would never delete the tweet, only to then relent and delete it,
acknowledging its falsity. Again compare the meager audience that
learns of the backtracking and acknowledgment of falsity compared to
the huge number exposed to the original false claim:

Thanks
to multiple journalists with large platforms spreading Tucker’s
original false tweet, it received thousands upon thousands of likes
and re-tweets. So, too, did the tweets of other journalists that
false claim, such as the one from HuffPost’s
White House Correspondent and this one from one of David
Brock’s goons
specifically claiming that the security state’s evidence-free
report somehow proves that my pre-election reporting on it was wrong.
Yet Tucker’s announcement that he was deleting his tweet on the
ground that the report does not make “explicit reference to the
Hunter Biden laptop story” has a grand total of three
retweets.

Indeed,
other than Hayes, it is difficult to find a journalist who
acknowledged that what they spread was a lie. Both CNN’s
Rangappa and NBC
News’
Collins simply allowed the tweet to quietly disappear from their
timeline when Tucker finally deleted his, saying nothing to the
thousands or tens of thousands of people they misled. Meanwhile, the
tweet from HuffPost’s
Daté is still
up
a full twenty-four hours after the key journalists who spread this
have acknowledged it was false.

Do
you see how
they behave? Take a look. Prior to the election, out of desperation
to ensure that Biden won, they censored and maligned this reporting
by mindlessly endorsing an assertion from life-long CIA operatives
that never had any evidence: ignore
these documents; they are Russian disinformation. They
not only invoked that claim to justify ignoring the story but also to
successfully agitate for its censorship by Twitter and Facebook. So
they spent weeks spreading an utter lie in order to help the
candidate that they favored win the election. Remember, these are
journalists
doing
that.

Then,
yesterday, the intelligence community issued a report that does not
even purport to contain any evidence: just assertions. And they all
jumped to treat it as gospel: no questioning of it, no skepticism, no
demands to see evidence for it, not even any notation that no
evidence was provided. They just instantly enshrined claims from the
CIA and NSA as Truth. How can you possibly be a journalist with even
minimal knowledge of what these agencies do and look in the mirror as
you do this?

But
so much worse, in this case, they just outright lied about what the
report said — just fabricated assertions that the report did not
even allude to, in order to declare their lies from last October to
be vindicated. Even if this report had asserted that the Hunter Biden
laptop materials were manufactured by the Kremlin, that
would prove nothing.
Evidence-free assertions from the U.S. intelligence community merit
skepticism, not blind faith — especially from people calling
themselves journalists.

But
the report did not even claim that. And when some of them realized
this, they did virtually nothing to rectify the severe disinformation
they had spent the day spreading. These are the people who claim to
be so profoundly opposed to conspiracy theories and devoted to
combating “disinformation”; as usual, they are the ones who
spread disinformation most recklessly and frequently.

The
fact that the false tweet from HuffPost’s
White House correspondent is still up is quite revealing, given that
that outlet just had to lay off a significant portion of its staff.
As newly arrived Substack writer Michael Tracey wrote in his

journalists are very good at lamenting when their outlets are forced
to lay off journalists but very poor at examining whether the content
their outlet is producing may be part of why it is failing:

So
when you see another round of layoffs, followed by another round of
exasperated Twitter lamentation about how horrible the industry is,
you have to wonder if these rituals ultimately function as an excuse
for journalists to forgo any kind of real self-examination. For
instance, why it is that the media organizations they inhabit always
seem to be in a constant state of free-fall? Sure, there are economic
factors at play that the journalists themselves cannot control. But
it would seem to behoove these journalists to maybe spend a little
bit less time complaining in the abstract about the depredations of
“the industry”—as though they are its hapless, beleaguered
casualties—and a little bit more time analyzing whether they have
contributed to the indisputable reality that huge cross-sections of
the public distrust
and despise the
media.

There
are multiple potential explanations for this dynamic worth
considering. Maybe it’s the tedious
hyper-partisanship and
weirdly outdated content
aggregation tactics
that much of the online media still employs. Maybe it’s the
constant five-alarm-fire
tone and incessant hyping of overblown threats that
was characteristic of the Trump years. Maybe it’s some combination
of all these and more—but you won’t see many axed journalists
offering up any kind of critical introspection, because when the
layoffs arrive it can never have anything to do with their own
ideological myopia or other shortcomings.

Indeed,
when anyone, including journalists, loses their job, it is
lamentable. But when one witnesses behavior like what these
journalists did yesterday, the only confounding part of the collapse
of this part of the media industry is that it is not happening
even more quickly and severely.

Malcolm X Day (21 februari) en de politie-moorden op gekleurde mensen waaronder Mitch Henriquez

Afgelopen zondag was het Malcolm X Day (zonder belangstelling in de rest van het
westen), deze dag daar Malcolm X, mensenrechtenactivist en voorvechter van gelijke
rechten voor gekleurden en witten in de VS, op 21 februari 1965
werd vermoord door de FBI en de lokale politie van New York……. Brasscheck TV kwam eergisteren dan ook met een bericht en video over Malcolm X en de moordaanslag die op hem werd gepleegd.

Wat mij betreft is het elke dag Malcolm X Day en een dag voor elke activist die vermoord werd vanwege verzet tegen het fascistische racisme waarmee gekleurden dag in dag uit te maken hebben, niet alleen in de VS maar overal ter wereld, óók in ons land….. Daaronder versta ik ook het herdenken van gekleurde mensen die door de politie werden en worden vermoord door hen dood te schieten of door de meer walgelijke verwurging middels de nekklem, zoals Mitch Henriquez in het Haagse Zuiderpark overkwam…… Ongelofelijk ook dat de agent die hem daadwerkelijk vermoordde in verzet ging tegen een voorwaardelijke gevangenisstraf….. (ja ja en dat voor een moord die vreselijke minutenlang duurde!!)

Gistermorgen hoorde ik advocaat Korver, die de zaak Mitch Henriquez behartigt voor de familie. Hij vertelde dat de politie advocatenkantoor Sjöcrona-Van Stigt inhuurde voor bijna drie jaar tijd en daar ‘maar liefst’ € 1.309.380,96 aan besteedde, een bedrag waar de familie van Henriquez natuurlijk niet aan kan tippen…… Zie wat dat betreft ook het volgende artikel van RTL nieuws: ‘Kritiek op ‘peperdure’ advocaten van agenten in zaak-Mitch Henriquez‘* Ook dat is een vorm van racisme, zeker als je bedenkt dat de politie nog steeds de marteling middels de nekklem mag blijven gebruiken, dezelfde marteling waarmee zoals gezegd Henriquez werd vermoord…….

Ook gisteren maar dan op BBC World Service Radio en WDR 5 het bericht dat in de VS de maand februari wordt gezien als Black History Month, maar wat lullig dat men op beide zenders niet één keer de naam Malcolm X noemde……

dat de video in dit bericht niet werd gecensureerd door YouTube
Nederland, die tegenwoordig het grootste deel van de Brasscheck video’s censureert en daarbij de leugen gebruikt  dat het adres er  niet vertrouwd uitziet, de smerige oplichters!! (hier één ‘van de video’s die men blijkbaar over het hoofd heeft gezien:)

Beste bezoeker, iets te vlug gejuicht over het niet censureren door YouTube Nederland, gistermorgen stond de video nog in het bericht, maar toen ik deze gistermiddag laat wilde overnemen, was deze verwijderd, alsof het niet waar is dat Malcolm werd vermoord door terreurorganisatie FBI in samenwerking met de lokale politie……. YouTube vindt het blijkbaar uitstekend om berichten over fascistisch racisme te censureren……. Heb gelukkig nog een video van hem uit eerdere berichten….. Capitol Hill bestorming: leugens in de massamedia

Glenn Greenwald heeft een lijvig stuk (iets te, m.i.) geschreven over de
bestorming van Capitol Hill afgelopen 6 januari en dan m.n. over de moord op
een politieagent met een brandblusser, plus de rol die de media
daarin spelen. Uiteraard veroordeelt Greenwald het gebruikte geweld,
echter er dient wel gekeken te worden wie de slachtoffers waren…..

Greenwald stelt dat elke
kritiek die men levert op de berichtgeving over wat
er al meer dan een maand lang werd geschreven, wordt of afgedaan als een excuus voor
de bestorming van Capitol Hill, dan wel je bent een aanhanger van de
Trump supporters……

In
tegenspraak met de berichtgeving, werden 4 van de 5 doden niet om het
leven gebracht door de relschoppers, terwijl de enige dode die met
geweld om het leven werd gebracht een ongewapende Trump
supporter was: Ashli Babbitt, die van dichtbij door de
politie werd neergeschoten ofwel vermoord……

Echter
niet volgens de media in de VS, die kennen nog een dode, politieagent
Brian Sicknick, de New York Times (NYT) was het eerste medium dat met
het verhaal kwam dat Sicknick werd vermoord met een brandblusser en
dan natuurlijk door een Trump aanhanger……

Echter
tot op de dag van vandaag is er geen autopsie uitgevoerd op het
lichaam van Sicknick en ondanks dat er gigantische veel beelden zijn
‘geschoten’ door veiligheidscamera’s en smartphones, is er niet één
beeld dat het verhaal van de NYT bevestigt…… Uhh van de NYT? Al
heel snel na het artikel van dat nieuwsmedium nam zo ongeveer de hele
reguliere (massa-) media in de VS dit verhaal over en hoe…….. De
hysterie was en is nog steeds compleet over dit valse verhaal…..

Je
kan er dan ook donder op zeggen dat dit is ingegeven door de
politiek, immers e.e.a. gebeurde nog voor de impeachment poging tegen
Trump….. Tja kijk, als je met een vermoorde politieagent op de
proppen komt krijgt zo’n zaak natuurlijk veel meer gewicht……

het artikel van Glenn Greenwald en zie hoe de massamedia in de VS het publiek bespelen, natuurlijk geholpen door de politiek (daarnaast politici voeden niet zelden de media met leugens om zo zaken
voor elkaar te krijgen, zeker in de VS…..) Ach gelul, dat is hier
ook al heel lang zo en de media doen er maar wat graag aan
mee!! (zie ook hoe de media hier keer op keer de blunders op het Coronadossier goedlullen, blunders begaan door de grijnzende VVD hufter en premier Rutte, CDA blunderkoning de Jonge en diens partijcollega en minister, de al even hard blunderende hufter Grapperhaus…..) Eén ding is zeker, deze rellen werden vooral aangegrepen door de Democraten in een poging Trump een impeachment te bezorgen zodat hij in de toekomst niet nog eens kan opgaan voor het presidentschap (en zo’n impeachment kan wel degelijk worden doorgezet nadat de nieuwe president is aangetreden).

What took place
at the Capitol on January 6 was undoubtedly a politically motivated
riot. As such, it should not be controversial to regard it as a
dangerous episode. Any time force or violence is introduced into what
ought to be the peaceful resolution of political conflicts, it should
be lamented and condemned.

But none of that
justifies lying about what happened that day, especially by the news
media. Condemning that riot does not allow, let alone require,
echoing false claims in order to render the event more menacing and
serious than it actually was. There is no circumstance or motive that
justifies the dissemination of false claims by journalists. The more
consequential the event, the less justified, and more harmful, serial
journalistic falsehoods are.

Yet this is exactly
what has happened, and continues to happen, since that riot almost
seven weeks ago. And anyone who tries to correct these falsehoods is
instantly attacked with the cynical accusation that if you want only
truthful reporting about what happened, then you’re trying to
“minimize” what happened and are likely an apologist for if not a
full-fledged supporter of the protesters themselves.

One of the most
significant of these falsehoods was the tale — endorsed over and
over without any caveats by the media for more than a month — that
Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick was murdered by the pro-Trump
mob when they beat him to death with a fire extinguisher. That claim
was first published by The
New York Times
on January 8 in an
article headlined “Capitol Police Officer Dies From Injuries in
Pro-Trump Rampage.” It cited “two [anonymous] law enforcement
officials” to claim that Sicknick died “with the mob rampaging
through the halls of Congress” and after he “was struck with a
fire extinguisher.”

A second New
York Times
article
from later that day — bearing the more dramatic headline: “He
Dreamed of Being a Police Officer, Then Was Killed by a Pro-Trump
Mob” — elaborated
on that story:

After
publication of these two articles, this horrifying story about a
pro-Trump mob beating a police officer to death with a fire
extinguisher was repeated over and over, by multiple journalists on
television, in print, and on social media. It became arguably the
single most-emphasized and known story of this event, and
understandably so — it was a savage and barbaric act that resulted
in the harrowing killing by a pro-Trump mob of a young Capitol police
officer.

It
took on such importance for a clear reason: Sicknick’s death was
the only
example the media had of the pro-Trump mob deliberately killing
anyone. In a January 11 article
detailing the five people who died on the day of the Capitol protest,
the New
York Times again
told the Sicknick story: “Law enforcement officials said he had
been ‘physically engaging with protesters’ and was struck in the
head with a fire extinguisher.”

But none of the other
four deaths were at the hands of the protesters: the only other
person killed with deliberate violence was a pro-Trump protester,
Ashli Babbitt, unarmed when shot in the neck by a police officer at
close range. The other three deaths were all pro-Trump protesters:
Kevin Greeson, who died of a heart attack outside the Capitol;
Benjamin Philips, 50, “the founder of a pro-Trump website called
Trumparoo,” who died of a stroke that day; and Rosanne Boyland, a
fanatical Trump supporter whom the Times
says was inadvertently “killed in a crush of fellow rioters during
their attempt to fight through a police line.”

This is why the fire
extinguisher story became so vital to those intent on depicting these
events in the most violent and menacing light possible. Without
Sicknick having his skull bashed in with a fire extinguisher, there
were no
deaths
that day that could be attributed to deliberate violence by pro-Trump
protesters. Three weeks later, The
Washington Post
said
dozens of officers (a total of 140) had various degrees of injuries,
but none reported as life-threatening, and at least two police
officers committed suicide after the riot. So Sicknick was the only
person killed who was not a pro-Trump protester, and the only one
deliberately killed by the mob itself.

It is hard to
overstate how pervasive this fire extinguisher story became. Over and
over, major media outlets and mainstream journalists used this story
to dramatize what happened:

Television hosts
gravely intoned when telling this story, manipulating viewers’
emotions by making them believe the mob had done something
unspeakably barbaric:

After the media
bombarded Americans with this story for a full month without pause,
it took center stage at Trump’s impeachment process. As former
federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy noted,
the article of impeachment itself stated that “Trump supporters
‘injured and killed law enforcement personnel.’” The House
impeachment managers explicitly claimed on page 28 of their
pretrial memorandum that “the insurrectionists killed a Capitol
Police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher.”

Once the impeachment
trial ended in an acquittal, President Joe Biden issued a statement
and referenced this claim in the very first paragraph. Sicknick, said
the President, lost “his life while protecting the Capitol from a
violent, riotous mob on January 6, 2021.”

The problem
with this story
is that it is false in all respects. From the start, there was almost
no evidence to substantiate it. The only basis were the two original
New
York Times
articles asserting that this happened based on the claim of anonymous
law enforcement officials.

Despite this alleged
brutal murder taking place in one of the most surveilled buildings on
the planet, filled that day with hundreds of cellphones taping the
events, nobody saw video of it. No photographs depicted it. To this
day, no autopsy report has been released. No details from any
official source have been provided.

Not only was there no
reason to believe this happened from the start, the little that was
known should have caused doubt. On the same day the Times
published
its two articles with the “fire extinguisher” story, ProPublica
published
one that should have raised serious doubts about it.

The outlet interviewed
Sicknick’s brother, who said that “Sicknick had texted [the
family] Wednesday night to say that while he had been pepper-sprayed,
he was in good spirits.” That obviously conflicted with the Times’
story that the mob “overpowered Sicknick” and “struck him in
the head with a fire extinguisher,” after which, “with a bloody
gash in his head, Mr. Sicknick was rushed to the hospital and placed
on life support.”

But no matter. The
fire extinguisher story was now a matter of lore. Nobody could
question it. And nobody did: until after a February 2 CNN
article
that asked why nobody has been arrested for what clearly was the most
serious crime committed that day: the brutal murder of Officer
Sicknick with a fire extinguisher. Though the headline gave no hint
of this, the middle of the article provided evidence which
essentially declared the original New
York Times
story false:

In Sicknick’s
case, it’s still not known publicly what caused him to collapse the
night of the insurrection. Findings from a medical examiner’s review
have not yet been released and authorities have not made any
announcements about that ongoing process.

According to
one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs
that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators
believe that early
reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not
true.

The CNN story
speculates that perhaps Sicknick inhaled “bear spray,” but like
the ProPublica
interview
with his brother who said he inhaled pepper spray, does not say
whether it came from the police or protesters. It is also just a
theory. CNN
noted that investigators are “vexed by a lack of evidence that
could prove someone caused his death as he defended the Capitol
during last month’s insurrection.” Beyond that, “to date, little
information has been shared publicly about the circumstances of the
death of the 13-year veteran of the police force, including any
findings from an autopsy that was conducted by DC’s medical
examiner.”

Few noticed this
remarkable admission buried in this article. None of this was
seriously questioned until a relatively new outlet called Revolver
News on
February 9 compiled
and analyzed all the contradictions and lack of evidence in the
prevailing story, after which Fox
News’
Tucker Carlson, citing that article, devoted the first eight minutes
of his February 10 program to examining
these massive evidentiary holes.

That caused right-wing
media outlets to begin questioning what happened, but mainstream
liberal outlets — those who spread the story aggressively in the
first place — largely and predictably ignored it all.

This week, the paper
that first published the false story — in lieu of a retraction or
an explanation of how and why it got the story wrong — simply went
back to the first two articles, more than five weeks later, and
quietly posted what it called an “update” at the top of both
five-week-old articles:

With the impeachment
trial now over, the articles are now rewritten to reflect that the
original story was false. But there was nothing done by The
New York Times to
explain an error of this magnitude, let alone to try to undo the
damage it did by misleading the public. They did not expressly
retract or even “correct” the story. Worse, there is at least one
article of theirs, the January
11 one that purports to describe how the five people died that
day, which continues to include the false “fire extinguisher”
story with no correction or update.

The fire
extinguisher tale
was far from the only false or dubious claim that the media caused to
circulate about the events that day. In some cases, they continue to
circulate them.

In the days after the
protest, numerous
viral
tweets
pointed to a photograph of Eric Munchel with zip-ties. The photo was
used continually to suggest
that he took those zip-ties into
the Capitol because of a premeditated
plot to detain lawmakers and hold them hostage.
Politico
described
Munchel as “the man who allegedly entered the Senate chamber during
the Capitol riot while carrying a taser and zip-tie handcuffs.”

The Washington
Post
used the images to refer
to “chatters in far-right forums explicitly discussing how to storm
the building, handcuff lawmakers with zip ties.” That the zip-tie
photo of Munchel made the Capitol riot far more than a mere riot
carried out by a band of disorganized misfits, but rather a nefarious
and well-coordinated plot to kidnap members of Congress, became
almost as widespread
as the fire extinguisher story. Yet again, it was The
New York Times
that led the way in consecrating maximalist claims. “FBI Arrests
Man Who Carried Zip Ties Into Capitol,” blared
the paper’s headline on January 10, featuring the now-iconic photo
of Munchel at the top.

But on January 21, the
“zip-tie man’s” own prosecutors admitted
none of that was true. He did not take zip-ties with him from home or
carry them into the Capitol. Instead, he found them on a table, and
took them to prevent their use by the police:

Eric Munchel,
a pro-Trump rioter who stormed the Capitol building while holding
plastic handcuffs, took the restraints from a table inside the
Capitol building, prosecutors
said in a court filing Wednesday.

Munchel, who
broke into the building with his mom, was labeled “zip-tie
guy” after he was photographed barreling down the Senate chamber
holding the restraints. His appearance raised questions about whether
the insurrectionists who sought to stop Congress from counting
Electoral College votes on January 6 also intended to take lawmakers
hostage.

But according
to the new filing, Munchel and his mother took the handcuffs from
within the Capitol building – apparently to ensure the Capitol Police
couldn’t use them on the insurrectionists – rather than bring them in
when they initially breached the building.

(A second man whose
photo with zip-ties later surfaced similarly
told Ronan Farrow that he found them on the floor, and the FBI
has acknowledged
it has no evidence to the contrary).

Why does this matter?
For the same reason media outlets so excitedly seized on this claim.
If Munchel had brought zip-ties with him, that would be suggestive of
a premeditated plot to detain people: quite terrorizing, as it
suggests malicious and well-planned intent. But he instead just found
them on a table by happenstance and, according
to his own prosecutors,
grabbed them with benign intent.

Then, perhaps most
importantly, is the ongoing insistence on calling the Capitol riot an
armed
insurrection.
Under the law, an insurrection is one of the most serious crises that
can arise. It allows virtually
unlimited presidential powers — which is why there was so much
angst when Tom Cotton proposed it in his New
York Times
op-ed over the summer, publication of which resulted in the departure
of two editors. Insurrection even allows for the suspension
by the president of habeas corpus: the right to be heard in court if
you are detained.

So it matters a great
deal legally, but also politically, if the U.S. really did suffer an
armed insurrection and continues to face one. Though there is no
controlling, clear definition, that term usually connotes not a
three-hour riot but an ongoing, serious plot by a faction of the
citizenry to overthrow or otherwise subvert the government.

Just today, PolitiFact
purported
to “fact-check” a statement from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) made on
Monday. Sen. Johnson told a local radio station:

“The
fact of the matter is this didn’t seem like an armed insurrection
to me. I mean armed, when you hear armed, don’t you think of
firearms? Here’s the questions I would have liked to ask. How many
firearms were confiscated? How many shots were fired? I’m only
aware of one, and I’ll defend that law enforcement officer for
taking that shot.

The fact-checking site
assigned the Senator its “Pants on Fire” designation for that
statement, calling it “ridiculous revisionist history.” But the
“fact-checkers” cannot refute a single claim he made. At least
from what is known publicly, there is no evidence of a single
protester wielding let alone using a firearm inside the Capitol on
that day. As indicated, the only person to have been shot was a
pro-Trump protester killed by a Capitol police officer, and the only
person said to have been killed by the protesters, Officer Sicknick,
died under circumstances that are still completely unclear.

That protesters were
found before and after the riot with weapons does not mean they
intended to use them as part of the protest. For better or worse, the
U.S. is a country where firearm possession is common and legal. And
what we know for certain is that there is no evidence of anyone
brandishing a gun in that building. That fact makes a pretty large
dent in the attempt to characterize this as an “armed insurrection”
rather than a riot.

Indeed, the most
dramatic claims spread by the media to raise fear levels as high as
possible and depict this as a violent insurrection have turned out to
be unfounded or were affirmatively disproven.

On January 15, Reuters
published
an article about the arrest of the “Q-Shaman,” Jacob Chansley,
headlined “U.S. says Capitol rioters meant to ‘capture and
assassinate’ officials.” It claimed that “federal prosecutors
offered an ominous new assessment of last week’s siege of the U.S.
Capitol by President Donald Trump’s supporters on Thursday, saying
in a court filing that rioters intended ‘to capture and assassinate
elected officials.’” Predictably, that caused viral social media
postings from mainstream
reporters and prominent pundits, such as Harvard Law’s Laurence
Tribe, manifesting in the most ominous tones possible:

Shortly thereafter,
however, a
DOJ “official walked back a federal claim that Capitol rioters
‘intended capture and assassinate elected officials.’”
Specifically, “Washington’s acting U.S. Attorney, Michael Sherwin,
said in a telephone briefing, ‘There is no direct evidence at this
point of kill-capture teams and assassination.’”

Over and over, no
evidence has emerged for the most melodramatic media claims — torn
out Panic Buttons and plots to kill Vice President Mike Pence or
Mitt
Romney. What we know for certain, as The
Washington Post
noted
this week, is that “Despite
warnings of violent plots around Inauguration Day, only
a smattering of right-wing protesters appeared at the
nation’s statehouses.” That does not sound like an ongoing
insurrection, to put it mildly.

All this matters
because it inherently matters if the media is recklessly circulating
falsehoods about the most inflammatory and significant news stories.
As was true for their series of Russiagate
debacles, even if each “mistake” standing alone can be
dismissed as relatively insignificant or understandable, when they
pile up — always in the same narrative direction — people rightly
conclude the propaganda is deliberate and trust in journalism erodes
further.

But in this case, this
matters for reasons far more significant than corporate media’s
attempt to salvage the last vestiges of their credibility.
Washington, D.C. remains indefinitely militarized. The establishment
wings of both parties are still exploiting the emotions surrounding
the Capitol breach to justify a new domestic War on Terror. The FBI
is on
the prowl for dissidents on the right and the left, and online
censorship in the name of combatting domestic terrorism continues to
rise.

One can — and should
— condemn the January 6 riot without inflating the threat it posed.
And one can — and should — insist on both factual accuracy and
sober restraint without standing accused of sympathy for the rioters.

De enorme hysterie in de VS na de
bestorming van Capitol Hill en het Capitol, gevoed met angst door
vooral de reguliere media, is het laatste instrument voor Joe Biden
en z’n psychopathische administratie om maatregelen door te voeren
die een eind zullen maken aan burgerrechten als:

  • vrijheid
    van meningsuiting

  • het
    recht om te demonstreren

  • het
    recht om fout overheidsbeleid te weerleggen

  • het
    recht om jezelf te verdedigen (een omkering van bewijslast, je bent
    zonder meer schuldig en probeer maar te bewijzen dat dit niet zo is,
    althans als je die kans al krijgt…..)

  • het
    recht op verantwoording en transparantie van de overheid

  • het
    recht op privacy (al is daar al praktisch niets van over)

  • het
    recht op een onafhankelijke pers (die is al lang ter grave
    gedragen en de reguliere [afhankelijke] media roepen zelfs om censuur op
    de sociale media en de rest van het net, censuur die zelfs al wordt
    toegepast, óók in ons land…..)

  • het
    recht op vereniging (wat hier zwaar geweld wordt aangedaan met de
    Coronamaatregelen…)

  • het
    recht op lichamelijke integriteit

  • het
    recht op een representatieve volksvertegenwoordiging

Al deze
zaken hadden in de VS al ‘aan glans verloren’ door het aannemen van de Patriot
Act na de aanslagen van 11 september 2001 (9/11), een wet die al in 1995 werd opgesteld door de huidige president
Joe Biden, onder de naam: ‘Omnibus Counterterrorism Act…..’
‘Patriot Act II’ ofwel de: Domestic
Terrorism Prevention Act (DTPA), die
de Biden administratie voorbereidt, is de definitieve
oorlogsverklaring, niet aan landelijke terreur, maar aan iedere VS
burger en aan het laatste restje democratie in dat middels een genocide gestolen land).

Het is
duidelijk dat deze nieuwe ‘War on Terror’ niet alleen een oorlog is
die iedere VS burger kan treffen, maar die zoals gezegd definitief een eind zal
maken aan de al meer dan waardeloze democratie is zoals de VS die nu

Volgens Michael
McGarrity, opperhoofdsmeerpijp van de FBI afdeling van contraterrorisme, ziet
de FBI ‘huiselijk terrorisme’ in de volgende 4 zaken: 

  • raciaal
    gemotiveerd gewelddadig extremisme 

  • anti
    regerings/autoriteit extremisme

  • dierenrechten
    en milieu extremisme 

  • abortus extremisme

Ofwel als je gezichtspunten
onderschrijft die tegengesteld zijn aan wat de regering of andere
autoriteiten (als de FBI, NSA of andere geheime diensten >> de
VS heeft er meer dan 25) voorstaan, kan je worden aangemerkt als een
‘binnenlandse terrorist’ en als zodanig worden behandeld (dat geldt dan bijvoorbeeld voor Black Lives Matter [BLM] activisten….)…..
Moet je nagaan: dan is de VS de eerste die altijd met een
beschuldigende (vieze hypocriete) vinger wijst naar landen waar men
hetzelfde omgaat met deze zaken…..

De VS heeft al organisaties opgetuigd die
‘misdaden’ (‘misdaden’ als dierenactivisme) moeten voorkomen, dit
gebeurt middels 78 fusion centra, die zaken verbinden op federaal
niveau (FBI, justitie), regionaal en lokaal gebied, maar ook middels
centra die data verzamelen, met hulp van: -gedragswetenschappers, -bedrijven, -de sociale media (Facebook, Twitter enz.) en
-‘gemeenschapsorganisatoren’, dit alles ondersteund met de nieuwste
technieken, uiteraard ook op het gebied van kunstmatige
intelligentie, gezichtsherkenning, biometrie (identificatiemethoden
op basis van unieke lichaamskenmerken) en gedragsepigenetica (met wie
men kan zien welke ervaringen tijdens het leven het genetische beeld
verouderen)……. Met name die nieuwe technieken vromen een groot gevaar voor alle burgerrechten, daar controle van de massa’s tegenwoordig steeds makkelijker wordt, neem alle camera’s in steden en dorpen, het ‘live scannen’ van internetverkeer en ga nog maar een half uur door…….

Coronacrisis is als olie op het vuur van antidemocratische
maatregelen en ook de rest van het
westen moet oppassen niet als makke schapen achter de VS aan te lopen en maatregelen van de VS
over te nemen, maatregelen die ook hier de democratie volkomen zullen

“Information
Clearing House”
– This is how it begins.

We are moving fast
down that slippery slope to an authoritarian society in which the
only opinions, ideas and speech expressed are the ones permitted by
the government and its corporate cohorts.

In the wake of the
Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol, “domestic terrorism” has become the
new poster child for expanding the government’s powers at the
expense of civil liberties.

Of course, “domestic
terrorist” is just the latest bull’s eye phrase, to be used
interchangeably
with “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist,” to
describe anyone who might fall somewhere on a very broad spectrum of
viewpoints that could be considered “dangerous.”

Watch and see: we are
all about to become enemies of the state.

In a déjà vu
mirroring of the legislative fall-out from 9/11, and the ensuing
build-up of the security state, there is a growing
demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded
powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be
damned.

If this is a test of
Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he
seems ready.

As part of his
inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a
rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.”
Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work
with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in carrying out
a “comprehensive
threat assessment” of domestic terrorism. And then to keep the
parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention
Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip
the government with “the
tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become
radicalized to violence.

Don’t blink or
you’ll miss the sleight of hand.

This is the tricky
part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the
shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by
ruffians in your midst.

It follows the same
pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government
as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at
the expense of our freedoms.

As investigative
journalist Glenn Greenwald warns:

“The last
two weeks have ushered in a wave of new domestic police powers and
rhetoric in the name of fighting ‘terrorism’ that are carbon
copies of many of the worst excesses of the first War on Terror that
began nearly twenty years ago. This New War on Terror—one that is
domestic in name from the start and carries the explicit purpose of
fighting ‘extremists’ and ‘domestic terrorists’ among
American citizens on U.S. soil—presents the whole slew of
historically familiar dangers when governments,
exploiting media-generated fear and dangers, arm themselves with the
power to control information, debate, opinion, activism and
protests.”

Greenwald is referring
to the USA Patriot Act, passed almost 20 years ago, which paved the
way for the eradication of every vital safeguard against government
overreach, corruption and abuse.

Free speech, the right
to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due
process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense,
accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press,
sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government:
all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s
war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced
since Sept. 11, 2001.

Some members
of Congress get it.

In a letter opposing
expansion of national security powers, a handful congressional
representatives urged their colleagues not to repeat the mistakes of
the past:

“While many
may find comfort in increased national security powers in the wake of
this attack, we must emphasize that we
have been here before and we have seen where that road leads. Our
history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being
necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for
the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American
people… To expand the government’s national security powers once
again at the expense of the human and civil rights of the American
people would only serve to further undermine our democracy, not
protect it.”

Cue the Emergency
State, the government’s Machiavellian version of crisis management
that justifies all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name
of national security.

This is the power grab
hiding in plain sight, obscured by the political machinations of the
self-righteous elite. This is how the government continues to exploit
crises and use them as opportunities for power grabs under the guise
of national security. Indeed, this is exactly how the government
added red
flag gun laws, precrime surveillance, fusion centers, threat
assessments, mental health assessments, involuntary confinement
to its arsenal of weaponized powers.

The objective is not
to make America safe again. That has never been the government’s
aim.

Greenwald explains:

“Why would
such new terrorism laws be needed in a country that already imprisons
more of its citizens than any other country in the world as the
result of a very aggressive set of criminal laws? What acts should be
criminalized by new ‘domestic terrorism’ laws that are not
already deemed criminal? They never say, almost certainly
because—just as was true of the first set of new War on Terror
laws—their
real aim is to criminalize that which
should not be criminalized:
speech, association, protests, opposition to the new ruling
coalition.”

So you see, the issue
is not whether Donald Trump or Roger Stone or MyPillow
CEO Mike Lindell deserve to be banned from Twitter, even if
they’re believed to be spouting misinformation, hateful ideas, or
fomenting discontent.

Rather, we should be
asking whether any corporation or government agency or entity
representing a fusion of the two should have the power
to muzzle, silence, censor, regulate, control and altogether
eradicate so-called “dangerous” or “extremist” ideas.

This unilateral power
to muzzle free speech represents a far greater danger than any
so-called right- or left-wing extremist might pose.

The ramifications are
so far-reaching as to render almost every American an extremist in
word, deed, thought or by association.

Yet where many go
wrong is in assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or
challenging the government’s authority in order to be flagged as a
suspicious character, labeled an enemy of the state and locked up
like a dangerous criminal.

Eventually, all you
will really need to do is use certain trigger words, surf the
internet, communicate using a cell phone, drive a car, stay at a
hotel, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating
lessons, appear suspicious, question government authority, or
generally live in the United States.

The groundwork has
already been laid.

The trap is set.

the right bait.

With the help of
automated eyes and ears, a growing arsenal of high-tech software,
hardware and techniques, government propaganda urging Americans to
turn into spies and snitches, as well as social media and behavior
sensing software, government agents have been busily spinning a
sticky spider-web of threat
assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,”
and “suspicious” activity reports aimed at snaring potential
enemies of the state.

It’s the American
police state’s take on the dystopian terrors foreshadowed by George
Orwell, Aldous Huxley and Phillip K. Dick all rolled up into one
oppressive pre-crime
and pre-thought
crime package.

What’s more, the
technocrats who run the surveillance state don’t even have to break
a sweat while monitoring what you say, what you read, what you write,
where you go, how much you spend, whom you support, and with whom you
communicate. Computers by way of AI (artificial intelligence) now do
the tedious work of trolling social media, the internet, text
messages and phone calls for potentially anti-government remarks, all
of which is carefully recorded, documented, and stored to be used
against you someday at a time and place of the government’s
choosing.

For instance, police
in major American cities have been using predictive policing
technology that allows them to identify individuals—or groups of
individuals—most likely to commit a crime in a given community.
Those individuals are then put on notice that their movements and
activities will be closely monitored and any criminal activity (by
them or their associates) will result in harsh penalties. 

In other words, the
burden of proof is reversed: you are guilty before you are given any
chance to prove you are innocent.

Dig beneath the
surface of this kind of surveillance/police state, however, and you
will find that the real purpose of pre-crime is not safety but
control.

Red flag gun laws
merely push us that much closer towards a suspect society where
everyone is potentially guilty of some crime or another and must be
preemptively rendered harmless.

This is the same
government that has a growing list—shared with fusion centers and
law enforcement agencies—of ideologies, behaviors, affiliations and
other characteristics that could flag someone as suspicious and
result in their being labeled potential
enemies of the state.

For instance, if you
believe in and exercise your rights under the Constitution (namely,
your right to speak freely, worship freely, associate with
like-minded individuals who share your political views, criticize the
government, own a weapon, demand a warrant before being questioned or
searched, or any other activity viewed as potentially
anti-government, racist, bigoted, anarchic or sovereign), you could
be at
the top of the government’s terrorism watch list.

Moreover, as a New
York Times
editorial warns, you may be an anti-government extremist (a.k.a.
domestic
terrorist) in the eyes of the police if you are afraid that the
government
is plotting to confiscate your firearms, if you believe the
economy
is about to collapse and the government
will soon declare martial law, or if you display an unusual
number of political
and/or ideological bumper stickers on your car.

According to one FBI
latest report, you might also be classified as a domestic terrorism
threat if you espouse conspiracy theories, especially if you “attempt
to explain events or circumstances as the result of a group of actors
working in secret to benefit themselves at the expense of others”
and are “usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations
of events.”

Additionally,
according to Michael C. McGarrity, the FBI’s assistant director of
the counterterrorism division, the bureau now “classifies
domestic terrorism threats into four main categories: racially
motivated violent extremism, anti-government/anti-authority
extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion
extremism.”

In other words, if you
dare to subscribe to any views that are contrary to the government’s,
you may well be suspected of being a domestic terrorist and treated
accordingly.

Again, where many
Americans go wrong is in naively assuming that you have to be doing
something illegal or harmful in order to be flagged and targeted for
some form of intervention or detention.

In fact, U.S. police
agencies have been working to identify and manage potential extremist
“threats,” violent or otherwise, before they can become actual
threats for some time now.

In much the same way
that the USA Patriot Act was used as a front to advance the
surveillance state, allowing the government to establish a
far-reaching domestic spying program that turned every American
citizen into a criminal suspect, the government’s anti-extremism
program renders otherwise lawful, nonviolent activities as
potentially extremist.

In fact, all you need
to do these days to end up on a government watch list or be subjected
to heightened scrutiny is use
certain trigger words (like cloud, pork and pirates), surf the
internet, communicate using a cell phone, limp
or stutter, drive
a car, stay at a hotel, attend a political rally, express
yourself on social media, appear
mentally ill, serve in the military,
disagree
with a law enforcement official, call
in sick to work, purchase materials at a hardware store, take
flying or boating lessons, appear
suspicious, appear confused or nervous, fidget or whistle or
smell bad, be seen in public waving a toy gun or anything remotely
resembling a gun (such as a water nozzle or a remote control or a
walking cane), stare
at a police officer, question government authority, or appear
to be pro-gun or pro-freedom.

Be warned: once you
get on such a government watch list—whether it’s a terrorist
watch list, a mental health watch list, a dissident watch list, or a
red flag gun watch list—there’s no clear-cut way to get off,
whether or not you should actually be on there.

You will
be tracked wherever you go.

You will
be flagged as a potential threat and dealt with accordingly.

This is pre-crime on
an ideological scale and it’s been a long time coming.

The government has
been building its pre-crime, surveillance network in concert with
fusion
centers (of which there are 78 nationwide, with partners in the
corporate sector and globally), data collection agencies, behavioral
scientists, corporations, social media, and community organizers and
by relying on cutting-edge technology for surveillance, facial
recognition, predictive
policing, biometrics, and behavioral epigenetics
(in which life experiences alter one’s genetic makeup).

If you’re not scared
yet, you should be.

Connect the dots.

Start with the powers
amassed by the government under the USA Patriot Act, note the
government’s ever-broadening definition of what it considers to be
an “extremist,” then add in the government’s detention powers
under NDAA*, the National Security Agency’s far-reaching
surveillance networks, and fusion centers that collect and share
surveillance data between local, state and federal police agencies.

To that, add tens of
thousands of armed, surveillance drones and balloons that are
beginning to blanket American skies, facial recognition technology
that will identify and track you wherever you go and whatever you do.
And then to complete the picture, toss in the real-time crime centers
being deployed in cities across the country, which will be attempting
to “predict” crimes and identify so-called criminals before they
happen based on widespread surveillance, complex mathematical
algorithms and prognostication programs.

Hopefully you’re
starting to understand how easy we’ve made it for the government to
identify, label, target, defuse and detain anyone it views as a
potential
threat for a variety of reasons that run the gamut from mental
illness to having a military background to challenging its authority
to just being on the government’s list of persona
non grata.

There’s always a
price to pay for standing up to the powers-that-be.

Yet as I make clear in
my book Battlefield
America: The War on the American People,
you don’t even have to be a dissident to get flagged by the
government for surveillance, censorship and detention.

All you really need to
be is a citizen of the American police state.

Op 4
juli 2015 werd middels informatie van Edward Snowden bekend gemaakt
dat de VS de toenmalige president Dilma Rousseff en 29 leden van haar
regering bespioneerde, dit door de NSA, terwijl de FBI al werkte in
het Lava Jato onderzoek…… Het ‘Lavo Jato’* of in
Engels: ‘Car Wash’ onderzoek was een onderzoek naar corruptie en
witwasserij, waarbij hoge ambtenaren, de top van oliemaatschappij Petrobras en politici waren betrokken.

Het
smerige in dit onderzoek was wel dat men dit onderzoek ook misbruikte
met de opzet om de socialisten die middels Rousseff en Lula da
Silva aan de macht waren gekomen zo zwart te maken dat ze in de
volgende verkiezingen een overwinning konden vergeten….. Rousseff werd in feite door een straatsgreep afgezet (onder regie van de CIA en NSA)…… Onder
groot protest werd Lula da Silva gearresteerd en gevangengezet,
zodat hij niet aan de verkiezingen kon deelnemen, pas in 2019 werd
Lula vrijgelaten daar men niet anders kon dan toegeven dat hij niets
met het Lavo Jato schandaal te maken had……. Al probeert de fascistische regering Bolsonaro hem alsnog weer achter de tralies te krijgen……..

Ondanks
dat de FBI haar boekje in Brazilië ver te buiten ging, heeft men dit
geheim gehouden voor de bevolking…… Eén en ander blijkt uit een
‘gelekt gesprek’ tussen openbaar aanklager Vlademir Aras en Deltan
Dallagnol, de leider van het Lava Jato onderzoek, waarbij Aras
Dallagnon voorhoudt dat men wat betreft de FBI niet verder kan gaan
dan afgesproken en juridisch toegelaten, waarop Dallagnol zegt dat ze door moeten gaan omdat
het allemaal zo lang duurt en de regering niet weet wat er gaande is,
de afgevaardigde kan niet weten wat we doen……… (uiteraard gelul, Temer in feite aangedragen door de VS als interim president nadat Rousseff was afgezet, wist natuurlijk dondersgoed wat er speelde…; Ap)

Het
voorgaande is te lezen in een interview met Bob Fernadez, een
gelauwerde journalist die veel onderzoek heeft gedaan naar de invloed
van de VS op de politiek in Brazilië en dat al een aantal decennia,
waarbij hij o.a. openbaarde hoe de CIA, FBI en DEA (en NSA) opereerden
in Brazilië (en daar de zaken naar de hand van de VS wisten te
zetten, Ap) Het is trouwens wel zeker dat de VS niet nog steeds
bezig is in Brazilië de boel naar haar hand te zetten…….

Moet je
nagaan: de VS is nu bezig westerse landen (waaronder ik ook de
Latijns-Amerikaanse landen versta) te bestoken met anti-Chinese
propaganda, daar dit land in tegenstelling tot de VS wel betaalt voor
de grondstoffen die het nodig heeft en daarvoor zelfs infrastructuur
aanlegt en niet alleen infrastructuur ten behoeve van een project
waar China baat bij heeft, terwijl de geschiedenis (ook de recente)
laat zien dat de VS vooral grondstoffen steelt door politici en
ambtenaren om te kopen en daarbij volkomen schijt heeft aan de
gevolgen voor de plaatselijke bevolkingen……..Sterker nog: als de VS wordt tergengewerkt door een regering organiseert de CIA een opstand en als de bewuste regering daar niet mee weg is te krijgen, wordt het leger van dat land gepolst voor een staatsgreep, mocht zelfs dat niet werken is de kans groot dat de VS het land binnenvalt en dat het liefst middels een false falg operatie**, die ingrijpen moet ‘rechtvaardigen…’

Fernandes is a veteran journalist from Bahia. During his 43 year
career he has worked at some of the most important newspapers and
magazines in Brazil, including Folha
de Sao Paulo
and Istoe,
covering issues such as the election of Bill Clinton and wars in
Angola and Somalia. In 1994 he helped found the weekly news magazine
Carta
Capital
and served as its Editor in Chief until 2004. During this period, he
wrote over 100 cover stories, including an award-winning series of 8
investigative reports about CIA, FBI, and DEA operations in Brazil
and another cover story which led to the resignation of Brazilian
Federal Police Director Vicente Chelotti. For the last 15 years he
worked extensively in TV as a news anchor for GNT and TV Cultura.
Currently he hosts a show on Bahia State Public Television and
maintains a youtube
channel which has over 200,000 subscribers. In September, 2020, I
interviewed him briefly about FBI and DOJ involvement in the Lava
Jato
investigation for the Redfish Documentary, Dismantling
Brazil: Bolsonaro’s Neoliberal Agenda. The following is the
full interview transcript.

How
did the US get involved in the coup against Dilma Rousseff and the
election season political imprisonment of Lula?

On July
4, 2015, Brazil learned, through Edward Snowden, that President Dilma
Rousseff and 29 members of her government were being spied on by the
NSA. At that time, FBI agents were already working inside the Lava
Jato
investigation. They were working far beyond the agreement that
exists. There was a legal agreement, but their involvement went far
beyond that. There were 18 agents, apparently, including the FBI
Anti-corruption director for Latin America, Leslie Backschies –
just to give you an idea of the size of this. So at the same time
that Brazil learned about the NSA espionage that was being done on
Petrobras, the president of the republic and 29 members of her
government, 18 FBI agents were regularly meeting with the Lava
Jato
task force and carrying out activities far beyond what was authorized
in the partnership agreement. There is a leaked conversation between
Prosecutor Vlademir Aras from the Federal Public Prosecutors Office
with Deltan Dallagnol, who was the Lava
Jato
task force leader, in which he says, “look, we have to respect the
agreement, we can’t go beyond it”. And Dallagnol says, “no,
let’s go ahead because it will take so long – the government
can’t know about this, the Executive can’t know what we are
doing.” It is impossible to be any more clear than this.

This
information was leaked by the
Intercept
during its so-called Vaza
Jato investigation.
It leaked all the documentation that shows this. More recently, the
investigative journalism site Apublica
also published information about the presence and the amplification
of the FBI in Brazil. In 2017 there was a meeting in São Paulo that
Leslie was in, along with other FBI agents and Brazilian businessmen,
with Brazilian government representatives to discuss corruption in
Brazil and the press were barred from attending. Imagine if this had
happened in the United States or in Germany or anywhere else. So this
is the current scenario, remembering that in 2014 there was already
US wire tapping in Brazil and that Leslie Backschies started working
in Brazil in 2012.

How
long has the FBI been active in Brazil? Can you talk a bit about your
investigative work in the 1990s for Carta Capital?

During
the end of the Fernando Henrique Cardoso administration, during the
last few years of his government until the time Lula took power, the
Brazilian Federal Police did not have enough funding to properly
operate. At this time, we published and leaked documents that proved
that the DEA, the American anti-drug agency, paid for individual
Federal Police agents to conduct drug trafficking investigations
through direct deposits into their personal bank accounts. We
published documents proving this – legal receipts. I also published
articles, with backing documentation, that showed that the CIA was
working out of the main Federal Police station’s anti-terrorism
unit. In order to work in this unit for the Federal Police at the
time, you had to go to Washington and take lie detector tests in
hotels -not in Langley – during which they would ask things like,
‘are you corrupt? Are you a homosexual?”

At the
time we published the names of many of the agents who went there and
years later we published an internal document from the Federal Police
that proved all of this. So for you to act inside the main
interception base of the Federal Police, you had to take a lie
detector test administered by the CIA. It was part of a shared
information partnership between the Federal Police and the CIA. This
unit was built inside the Federal Police during the Sarney government
with money from the US State Department, and its first 20 automobiles
came from the CIA in Paraguay. This was all published and nobody ever
denied it there is documentation proving it. So this story about US
collaboration didn’t start with
Lava Jato
– it goes back decades. What we have now is a deepening, a
widening, it’s a free for all now. Now, with Brazil delivering the
Alcantara rocket launching base to the United States, with Embraer
sold off and then given back by the Americans, it is now something
that is much more in the open. Unfortunately, as Brazil is
continental in size and focused in on itself, there is no habit of
looking at the outside world, not even at its neighbors. Brazilians
don’t think this is important, they don’t pay attention to or
understand the meaning of this. Brazilians, in their great majority,
do not care or understand what this means. They don’t understand
what it means for the Federal Police to have an operation… Brazil
had 15 Federal Police bases which operated within the shared
information regime with the CIA. Imagine this in any other country..
But here, nobody gave it a second thought.
