Israël valt doelen aan in Libanon, Syrië en Irak >> oorlogsmisdaden, zonder één woord van kritiek uit het westen

Ongelofelijk
maar waar: Israël oefent keer op keer terreur uit op doelen in Syrië en Irak (en sinds 25 augustus ook doelen in Libanon), zonder dat Israël ook maar één woord
van kritiek krijgt uit het westen, alsof het normaal is dat een
land een ander soeverein land aanvalt zonder ook maar enige kritiek te krijgen…..
Vergelijk dat eens met Oost-Oekraïne, waar het bewind in Kiev de
bevolking terroriseert met bombardementen op steden en dorpen (zeer ernstige oorlogsmisdaden volgens het Verdrag van Genève). Het
westen schreeuwt om het hardst dat Rusland meevecht in Oost-Oekraïne aan de kant van de burgers die zich terecht hebben afgescheiden van Oekraïne*, zonder ook maar een flinter aan bewijs te leveren voor die beschuldiging……

Al
jaren schendt Israël het luchtruim van Libanon voor bombardementen op
doelen in Syrië, zonder ook maar een waarschuwing te krijgen van de
VN. Nu gaat Israël nog eens tien stappen verder door met drones Libanese burgers te vermoorden** en zoals te
verwachten was, de westerse wereld doet er weer het zwijgen toe……
Hetzelfde westen dat onder aanvoering van de VS dag in dag uit Iran beschuldigt de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten te ondermijnen…… De VS dat NB zelf illegale oorlogen uitvecht in het
Midden-Oosten, (Noord-) Afrika en Afghanistan, alsof dat stabiliteit zou
brengen (waar de VS en de rest van het westen niets te zoeken hebben in het Midden-Oosten…)… Het zijn dan ook niet Iran of Syrië die de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten de nek omdraaien, maar juist de VS, Israël, Turkije en Saoedi-Arabië….. (dat laatste land kan zelfs ongestraft een genocide uitvoeren in buurland Jemen……)

VN schepen in de haven van Beiroet, die daar liggen ter bescherming van Libanon veranderden zelfs niet van positie toen Israël met een bombardement het mediacentrum van Hezbollah aanviel, laat staan dat ze de haven verlieten om Beiroet te verdedigen…… (je hoeft er niet van op te kijken als Israël de VN voorafgaand aan het bombardement waarschuwde……)

De Libanese premier Hariri mopperde voor de vorm wat over de Israëlische aanvallen, terwijl hij in feite een trouwe bondgenoot is van de VS en Saoedi-Arabië (hij is zelfs een Saoedische staatsburger……)…. 

Hassan Nasrallah, het hoofd van Hezbollah (de enige groep die zich inzet voor alle burgers van Libanon), stelde dat Israël voor het eerst sinds 2006 agressie gebruikt tegen Libanon, dit middels een drone die Israël met opzet liet neerstorten….. Echter elke schending van het Libanese luchtruim is een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad en dat doet Israël keer op keer als het doelen aanvalt in Syrië…… Israël gebruikt telkens weer het versleten cliché dat het doelen uitschakelt die een bedreiging zouden vormen voor Israël, terwijl het juist Israël zelf is dat een dodelijke bedreiging vormt voor velen in het Midden-Oosten, bijvoorbeeld voor de burgers en Palestijnse vluchtelingen in Beiroet……

Als Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en Turkije is de VS een terreurstaat die het
Midden-Oosten naar believen in brand zet……. Nogmaals: hoe is
het mogelijk dat de rest van het westen er het zwijgen toe doet….
Oh ja, dom van mij, immers de rest van het westen doet voor een groot
deel mee aan de VS terreur door deelname middels terreurorganisatie NAVO, dat onder militair
opperbevel staat van de VS…….. Ook wij hebben belasting betaalt
voor de vernietiging van Afghanistan, Libië, Irak en Syrië en dat
tijdens de illegale oorlogen die de VS tegen deze landen voerde en voert…….

Het

Information Clearing House. Jammer dat Vltchek Irak niet meenam in
zijn artikel, immers ook daar oefent Israël terreur uit middels

Israel
has attacked Lebanon and Syria: So what?

Clearing House” – On August 25th, 2019, Israel attacked
Lebanon. It has done it again. Just
as it attacked Syria, the same night.


RT reported
the same day:

Israeli
drone flights were “an open attack on Lebanese sovereignty” and
an assault on UN Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 Israel-Lebanon
war, Hariri said on Sunday, just hours after reports of two Israeli
UAV incidents in Beirut.

Hariri
called the drone incursion a “threat to regional
stability and an attempt to increase tensions.”

He
said there’s a heavy presence of planes in the airspace over
Beirut and its suburbs, adding he will consult with Lebanese
President Michel Aoun on what could be done to repel the “new
aggression.””

So,
what? Really, we have been ‘here’ before, on so many occasions.


PM
Hariri is fuming, but he is one of the closest allies of the U.S. and
Saudi Arabia in the region. In fact, he is a Saudi citizen. Is he
going to do anything, like getting into a war with Israel? Never.


Can
he actually do anything?  No. Nothing, even if he would want to.
The truth is that practically he can do absolutely nothing. Not he,
nor Lebanon’s President Aoun, or even the Lebanese armed forces.
Lebanon has no means with which to repel any Israeli attack.
Absolutely no means! 

The country’s air force is pathetic,
consisting of several flying toys, like modified Cessnas, old
helicopters, and several A-29 Super Tucanos. That could hardly
frighten some of the mightiest and well-trained squadrons in the
world – those of the Jewish state.


The
bitter and uncomfortable truth is, also, that Israel can basically do
anything it desires, at least in this part of the world.


Just
a few days ago, I dared to drive, again, from Beirut all the way down
to Naqoura, and then, along the Blue Line (‘protected’ by the
United Nations), east to Kfarkela.

Now,
the repulsive Israeli wall which is scarring one of the most
beautiful landscapes in the Middle East, has almost been completed,
all along the border. One year ago, the Lebanese government
protested, calling it almost an act of war. The Israelis did not
care. As always, they did what they wanted. They came right towards
the line, or more precisely, at least on several occasions, they
crossed the line; and constructed their concrete monstrosity right in
front of the eyes of the Lebanese soldiers and the UN personnel. “So,
now, what are you going to do?” they were practically saying,
without pronouncing it.


Nobody
has done anything in retaliation. Zero! Now UNIFIL Indonesian
soldiers are taking selfies right in front of the Blue Line, leaning
against their armored vehicles, while Hezbollah flags are waving only
a few meters away from Israel. All this horror show is just some 10
kilometers from the Israeli occupied Syrian territory of the Golan
Heights. You can see the Golan Heights easily from here. A few years
ago I was there, in the Golan Heights; I ‘smuggled’ myself there,
to write a damming report.
I learned then, and I am getting more and more confirmation now:
Israelis are really great experts at building the walls that are
ruining and fragmenting the entire region!


But
then and now, nothing that can stop them!


Whatever
Israel bombs it gets away with it, no one dares to intervene.

Today
as the Israel drones, full of explosives, flew into Lebanon, UN
battle ships were docked in the harbor of Beirut. After an explosion
rocked a Shi’a neighborhood, damaging the Hezbollah Media Center
(which I visited some two years ago), the ships did not even change
their position, let alone depart from the harbor in order to defend
Lebanon!


So
why are these ships there? No one knows. No one asks, obviously.


Here,
it is always like that. I drive to a Hezbollah area. There is a
private checkpoint. I photograph it. They stop me. A huge guy with a
machinegun blocks my way. I jump out of the car, put my hands
together: “Do you want to arrest me?” He gets insecure. I ignore
him. I drive away. I am pissed off: why not better fight the Israelis
and their constant invasions, with such a physique and weaponry?


A
friend of mine, a top UN official from the Gulf who doesn’t want to
be identified, just told me bitterly:

There
is no condemnation: there is complete silence from the United Nations
and from the West.

Hariri
feels obliged to protest, as his nation was attacked. But is he
really outraged? Hardly. He hates Syria, he hates Hezbollah.


Lebanon
is only united by a few iconic dishes, culinary delights; not by
politics.


Is
the country ready to defend itself? Hardly. Those who have money are
too busy racing their European cars, without mufflers, on potholed
streets, or showing their legs in various five-star malls.


The
poor people of Lebanon do not matter; they do not exist. Palestinians
matter nothing, living and dying, cramped like sardines in repulsive
camps with hardly any rights. This has been going on for long
decades.


Many
Lebanese Christians actually secretly cheer Israel. Or not so
secretly… And they are so enamored with everything Western, that,
as they told me on several occasions, they would love to be colonized
by France, again.


Lebanon
is so fragmented by race, religion, social status, that it cannot
stand on its feet. Turkish powerplant platforms are providing energy.
Infrastructure has collapsed. Filth is everywhere. 

Cynical corruption
consumes everything. But exhibitionism and showing off never stop.
Money is there only for hedonistic clubs and sojourns to Nice.
Hezbollah is the only institution which cares about the welfare of
all Lebanese people; the only force ready to defend the country
against foreign interventions. Israel and the West know it. And they
are doing all they can to destroy Hezbollah.


Lebanon
has become a laughing stock in the region. Like this, it is very
difficult to face one of the mightiest militaries on earth.

Just
a few hours before Lebanon was hit, Israel admitted that its air
force hit the Shi’ite militia and Iranian targets in Syria. It
declared that it took out “killer drones” prepped by the Quds
Force to carry out attacks in Israeli territory.


Israel
justifies everything by its ‘defense’. Any outrageous attack, any
bombing, is always ‘preventive’. The world has become used to it,
by now. The world is doing nothing to stop it.

People
die. Many do; annually. So, ‘the Israeli citizens can be safe’.
So the West and its allies can control the region, indefinitely.


On
August 25th, Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, described the
ongoing situation in the Middle East as ‘very, very dangerous’:

U.S.
tries to revive Daesh in Iraq… U.S. helicopters are rescuing Daesh
in Afghanistan… 

He
spoke about the attack on Lebanon:

The
drones that entered the suburbs at dawn are military aircraft. The
first aircraft was a reconnaissance aircraft flying at low altitude
to get an accurate picture of the target. We did not shoot down the
plane, but some young men threw stones at it before it fell. What
happened last night was a suicide drone attack on a target in the
southern suburbs of Beirut. Netanyahu would be mistaken if he thinks
that this issue can go unnoticed. Lebanon will face a very dangerous
situation if this incident goes unaddressed. The dawn suicide attack
is the first act of aggression since 14 August 2006. The Lebanese
State’s condemnation of what happened and referral of the matter to
the Security Council is good, but these steps do not prevent the
course of action to be taken.  Since 2000, we have allowed
Israeli drones for many reasons but no one moved.  Israeli
drones entering Lebanon are no longer collecting information, but
assassinations. From now on, we will face the Israeli drones when
they enter the skies of Lebanon and we will work to bring them down. 
I tell the Israelis that Netanyahu is running with your blood.

The
West and its allies are escalating tensions all over the Middle East.
Some say, “war is possible”. Others say “it is imminent”. But
it is not just a possibility. There is a war. Everywhere. In
Afghanistan and Syria, in Yemen and Iraq. Wherever you look! Even in
Lebanon.

Israël maakt zich op voor oorlog tegen Iran

Tzachi
Hanegbi, Israëlisch minister voor regionale samenwerking (ha! ha!),
heeft afgelopen vrijdag laten weten dat de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël zich de komende 2 jaar
zal bezighouden met het begin van (illegale) oorlogsvoering tegen Iran ‘en haar militaire takken elders’ (daartoe
rekent Israël ook Hezbollah en Hamas….)…..

Hanegbi
stelt dat er eerder sprake is van een mogelijke oorlog dan het
tegenovergestelde, waar hij aan toevoegde dat het niet de vraag is of
er oorlog zal zijn tussen Israël en Iran, maar wanneer die zal
plaatsvinden…….

Volgens
Hanegbi is er al geen sprake meer van een ‘oorlog bij volmacht’ (‘proxy
war’), maar dat er nu al sprake is van een directe oorlog, waaraan hij
toevoegde dat een oorlog met Iran onvermijdelijk is……

Iran zal
niet de kans krijgen zich te ‘herpositioneren’ in Syrië, aldus
Hanegbi, die als de westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media,
niet willen inzien dat Iran te hulp is geroepen door het soevereine Syrië en aldus geen bezettingsmacht is in dat land…. Iran helpt Syrië tegen de
terreurgroepen die met hulp van de VS, GB, Saoedi-Arabië, de
Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) en Egypte, terreur uitoefenen in Syrië….. Men doet in het westen alsof de oorlog in Syrië voorbij
is, terwijl er in de gebieden die de VS en Turkije beheersen nog
steeds terreurgroepen werkzaam zijn, inclusief IS…….

De
opzet: het organiseren van een opstand in Syrië door de VS, GB en
Saoedi-Arabië, als de belangrijkste partijen, is weliswaar gelukt,
waarbij het geweld kwam van door de VS binnengebrachte terroristen,
echter het vervolg daarvan, het afzetten van Assad, is totaal mislukt.
Al vanaf 2006 was de VS bezig met het organiseren van deze opstand en
staatsgreep en reken maar dat e.e.a. een ‘lieve duit’ heeft gekost…* 

De VS
die zogenaamd ingreep om te strijden tegen IS (die het NB zelf Syrië had binnengebracht), was dan ook alleen gericht tegen het bewind
Assad, vandaar ook dat voorafgaand aan de hulp van
Rusland aan Syrië, het meer dan een jaar lang bombarderen van IS posities door de VS, geen effect hadden, zelfs de Koerden bereikten ondanks de beperkte
militaire middelen meer tegen IS, dan de militaire grootmacht VS…..

Pas toen
Rusland het Syrische leger ging helpen en binnen 3 maanden veel meer
bereikten dan de VS in meer dan 1 jaar, begon de VS met haar ‘strijd
tegen terreur’, een smerig staaltje propaganda waarbij de VS werd
geroemd voor haar successen die er amper waren en waar de VS later in
Irak nog een paar maal werd betrapt op het leveren van wapens en ander militair tuig aan
IS…..

Niet
vreemd dus dat het Syrische bewind de hulp van Iran maar al te graag
aannam, immers wat moet je als land beginnen tegen de VS, het militair machtigste land op aarde, een land dat zich ook nog eens van zware terreur bediend om haar doelen te bereiken……..

Hanegbi had een aardig warrig verhaal, echter hij heeft gelijk met de uitlating dat Israël in feite al in oorlog is tegen Iran, gezien alle bombardementen op posities in Syrië waar Iraanse
troepen regio of steden beveiligen tegen terreur…. Bombardementen
waarbij Israël keer op keer eerst het Libanese luchtruim schendt, een
zaak waar de Libanese autoriteiten onmachtig zijn iets tegen de
ondernemen en die het westen koud laat, waar het zonder meer grootschalige Israëlische terreur betreft…..

(alweer) Over Israëlische terreur gesproken: ook de manier waarop Israël omgaat met de Palestijnen is zonder meer als grootschalige terreur aan te merken, neem het met scherp schieten op ongewapende Palestijnen door psychopathische Israëlische militairen, het schieten op: kinderen, invaliden, journalisten en medici (nogmaals: een uiterst smerige en barbaarse vorm van terreur….) 

Hetzelfde geldt voor de Israëlische blokkade van de Gazastrook, waar een paar miljoen mensen in een grote val zitten, die het beste is te vergelijken met het getto van Warschau tijdens WOII en waar het hen aan van alles ontbreekt, zoals stromend water, energie (een paar uur elektriciteit per dag, althans met een beetje geluk…) en zelfs medische hulpmiddelen als een aantal medicijnen en medische apparatuur……

Hanegbi stelt dat Israël zich wel moet ‘verdedigen…..’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! De vuile smeerlap, ‘verdedigen’ tegen de gevolgen van grootschalige en bloederige Israëlische terreur zal hij bedoelen! (en dan daarbij nog eens dreigen een ander land aan te vallen >> de wereld alweer op de kop!)

Israel’s
Minister of Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi yesterday said that
Israel is preparing for a “possible” military confrontation with
Iran and its military wings in the next two years.

Speaking
to Israel
Hayom,
Hanegbi – who is also a member of Israel’s security cabinet –
said “the possibility that there will be a military confrontation
with Iran or its military arms is more likely than the possibility
there will not be a war”.

He
reiterated that the issue is not related to “whether or not, but to
the appropriate time”.

The
minister claimed that the war with Iran “has already moved from
proxy war to direct war,” adding: “There will be a direct war
between us [Israel] and Iran, direct or indirect war. This is
impossible to be avoided and will get fiercer through time.”

Regarding
Syria, Hanegbi said that there are 10,000 fighters serving under the
leadership of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) and it is
expected that Lebanese Hezbollah’s arsenal currently includes
160,000 rockets.

Discussing
the reasons for war, Hanegbi said: “Israel will not continue to
bear the price of no war, which means giving a green light for
Iranians to reposition themselves in Syria […] We need to harm this
reposition; otherwise, we will have a terror kingdom on our borders.”

Hanegbi
added: “We want to let Iran know that its adventure to reposition
in Syria is not useful and there is no hope for them to reposition
there.” “They might think that we [Israel] will stop deterring,
but this will never happen,” he added.

Explaining
what he meant by “direct confrontation,” Hanegbi said: “We
strike them and they respond without harming us. The Iranians are
able to use rockets from Iraq and work from Lebanon or Iran itself.”

He
concluded: “We will finish every confrontation with victory. We
know how to protect ourselves from every threat we have, as we have

Blok (VVD minister BuZa) deelt volkomen onterecht VS zorgen over Iran

VVD
hufter Blok liet eerder deze maand weten dat hij de zorgen van de VS
over de ‘dreiging van Iran’ deelt. Blok zou voorts hebben gezegd dat
het voor Europa (hij bedoelt de EU) van belang is dat het nucleaire
akkoord overeind blijft…. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Oh, vandaar dat de EU
niets doet voor Iran n.a.v. de onmenselijke en illegale sancties die de VS als een
werelddictator het land heeft opgelegd, ondanks dat de EU Iran beloofde te
helpen tegen de sancties van terreurentiteit VS…..

Blok is als een loopjongen goed geïnstrueerd door de VS, daar hij aan het voorgaande toevoegde
dat de EU Iran aan zal blijven spreken op ‘onacceptabel gedrag’,
waarmee hij het ontwikkelen van raketten door Iran bedoelde
en de rol die Iran speelt in Syrië, Jemen en Libanon……….

Zolang
Iran wordt bedreigd door Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en de VS, is het niet
vreemd dat het land raketten ontwikkelt om zich te verdedigen,
bovendien heeft Iran satellieten in een baan rond de aarde gebracht,
blijkbaar is dat verboden voor staten die de VS niet welgevallig
zijn…… 

Niet Iran maar Israël en S-A zijn de meest agressieve
staten in het Midden-Oosten, waar de VS als buitenlandse mogendheid
in het Midden-Oosten, verreweg het grootste aantal burgers heeft
vermoord in dat deel van de wereld en Afghanistan (dat door velen
wordt gerekend tot het Midden-Oosten)……. Alleen in Irak vermoordde de
VS al meer dan 1,5 miljoen mensen., maar Blok deelt de zorgen
van deze verreweg grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde…….
Wat een wezenloze idioot!

Iran steunt het reguliere leger van Syrië in haar strijd tegen terreurgroepen, die NB met ons belastinggeld werden voorzien van wapens en ander oorlogstuig…. Ofwel Iran was en is niet illegaal aanwezig in Syrië, terwijl de VS en andere NAVO-lidstaten dat wel zijn…… De VS heeft de opstand in Syrië voorbereid en geregisseerd, daar was deze terreurentiteit al vanaf 2006 mee bezig…..* 

De VS heeft terroristen van o.a. IS vervoerd vanuit Libië naar Irak, hen daarna over de grens met Syrië geleid en hen van wapens en rollend oorlogstuig voorzien…… Niet de troepen van Assad openden het vuur op de door de VS georganiseerde protesten, maar de door de VS aangevoerde terreurgroepen (‘gematigde oppositie’), dit met het doel om Assad aan de paal te nagelen, ofwel de zoveelste flase flag operatie van de VS……

De claim dat Iran de Houthi rebellen in Jemen zou steunen met wapens en raketten is een dikke vette leugen, waarvoor de VS geen flinter aan bewijs kon en kan leveren…. Terwijl de Houthi rebellen tegen de Saoedische terreurcoalitie vechten, een coalitie die bezig is een genocide uit te voeren in Jemen en dat met hulp van de VS, Groot-Brittannië, Frankrijk en….. Nederlandse wapenonderdelen, die werden geleverd met de handtekening van Blok (voor de exportvergunning..)…. Kijk daar houdt Blok wijselijk de vuilbek over…….

Hetzelfde geldt voor de claim dat Iran in Libanon met de scepter zwaait, geen nanometer aan bewijs, maar je roept het een keer of tien en iedereen gelooft je…….. De fascistische apartheids- en terreurstaat Israël schendt het Libanese luchtruim bijna dagelijks met haar straaljagers, niet zelden om illegaal Syrische gebieden te bombarderen, ook over die oorlogsmisdaden hoor je hypocriet Blok niet….

Nogmaals
liet Blok weten dat de EU zich aan de P5+1 nucleaire deal met Iran houdt, lullig genoeg betekent dat voor Iran
helemaal niets, immers de EU komt niet met maatregelen om de ellende
in Iran te verzachten door zakendoen mogelijk te maken met bedrijven uit Iran…..
Nee, daarvoor onderneemt de EU helemaal niets en bedrijven uit de EU
kijken wel uit om zaken met Iran te doen, omdat ze daarvoor zullen
worden gestraft door terreurentiteit VS…. Ondanks dat durfde Blok
meermaals te zeggen dat de EU de nucleaire deal met Iran overeind zal
houden…….. Sterker nog Blok durfde keihard te stellen dat de EU het betalingsverkeer met Iran overeind houdt (buiten het SWIFT betalingssysteem), zodat EU bedrijven zaken
kunnen doen met Iran…… Een keiharde leugen…..

Om te
laten zien wat een enorme imbeciel hij is zei Blok dat Iran geen
ultimatum kan stellen, een ultimatum daar Iran heeft meegedeeld dat wanneer er verder niets gebeurd, het over een paar
maanden weer uranium zal verrijken…… Het water staat de Iraniërs aan de lippen, de EU doet geen flikker en Blok durft dat land de les
te lezen, deze belachelijke kwast is volkomen en hartstikke mesjogge!!

Uiteraard
had Blok de VS de bel moeten aanbinden, maar dat durft deze
achterlijke gladiool niet……

Minister
Stef Blok van Buitenlandse Zaken deelt de zorgen van de Verenigde
Staten over de dreiging van Iran. ,,Het verschil zit hem erin dat
voor Europa van belang is dat het nucleaire akkoord overeind blijft
en we Iran aanspreken op alle zaken die onacceptabel zijn, zoals het

Blok

als het Midden-Oosten. Samen met mijn EU-collega’s zet ik vol in op
het voorkomen van escalatie door het overeind houden van het
nucleaire akkoord, omdat het voorkomt dat Iran kernwapens
ontwikkelt”, aldus Blok. Volgens hem zijn ook de andere
EU-ministers erg bezorgd.

,,Daar
waar Iran echt schadelijk optreedt spreken wij ze aan, maar daar waar
Iran zich aan de afspraken houdt – zoals bij dat nucleaire akkoord
– daar houden wij ons ook aan afspraken”, vervolgde de
bewindsman. ,,Wij zorgen dat er betalingsverkeer kan plaatsvinden
tussen Iran en Europese bedrijven, dat deel van de deal komen wij ook
na.”

Daar
hoort geen ultimatum bij, zei de minister over de Iraanse dreiging om
over twee maanden meer verrijkt uranium te gaan produceren. ,,Het is
echt voor onze veiligheid van belang dat dat akkoord ook in de
toekomst overeind blijft.”

Pompeo
heeft later op de dag nog een gesprek met EU-buitenlandchef
Mogherini, die het door de Amerikanen opgezegde akkoord met ,,al onze
instrumenten en politieke wil” probeert te redden.

Generaal geeft toe: Israël zat achter de coup tegen president Morsi in Egypte

De Israëlische brigadegeneraal Aryeh Eldad heeft laten weten
dat Israël de regie voerde over de staatsgreep van 2013 in Egypte….. Een staatsgreep tegen
de Egyptische president Mohammed Morsi, de kandidaat van de Moslim Broederschap, Morsi de eerste
democratisch gekozen president van Egypte…… Voor hem in de plaats werd oud-generaal al-Sisi met hulp van de VS en Israël gelanceerd als nieuwe ‘president’ (dictator), al-Sisis is een oud-aanhanger van de na de ‘Arabische Lente’ afgezette dictator Mubarak……

Eldad is
er verdomd nog trots op ook, hij vertelde e.e.a. in dagblad Maariv…. Israël was zogenaamd bang dat Morsi het vredesverdrag met Israël zou
opzeggen en troepen zou sturen naar de grens met Israël…… ha! ha!
ha! ha! ha! Alsof het Israëlische leger ook maar iets te vrezen heeft
van de Egyptische legermacht…….

Het gaat
Israël dan ook alleen maar om de macht in het Midden-Oosten, niet
voor niets dat Israël Syrië wil opsplitsen, een idee dat zelfs wortel
heeft geschoten in Washington…… Al is het plantje niet echt sterk, echter
één grote false flag operatie die de VS in de schoenen van Assad
schuift en je hebt de poppen weer aan het dansen in Syrië……

De aanloop naar de coup in Egypte: in augustus 2012 stuurde de regering Morsi extra troepen
naar de Sinaï, dit vanwege terroristische aanslagen. Daarop bracht
Israël de ontzettend smerige leugen dat Morsi en daarmee Egypte het
vredesverdrag met Israël zou hebben geschonden, juist door die extra
troepen die zogezegd naar de Sinaï gingen…….

Deze gang van zaken lijkt sterk op een false flag operatie, daar ging ook de regering Morsi vanuit en beschuldigde Israël (de Mossad) daadwerkelijk van de terroristische
aanslagen in de Sinaï…… Je zou denken een false flag operatie uit de koker van de VS, daar die dit middel
veelvuldig gebruikt, alvorens bijvoorbeeld een land aan te vallen,
echter ook Israël heeft ervaring met dit soort operaties en dat gaat
behoorlijk lang terug……. (neem de Zesdaagse Oorlog van Israël tegen haar buurlanden)

De
psychopathische oorlogsmisdadiger Eldad had zelfs het lef te zeggen
dat Israël een heilige oorlog voert tegen Palestijnen en tegen de arabische
landen…. Wat is er heilig aan bloedbaden aanrichten onder een
bevolkingsgroep als de Palestijnen, die qua bewapening niet eens in
de schaduw kunnen staan van het moderne Israëlische leger….??

Al-Sisi’s
government, widely considered a military dictatorship despite a pale
sheen of democracy, has forged increasingly close ties with Israel
ever since he came to power in the 2013 coup.

(MPN) — Brigadier
General Aryeh Eldad of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed
that Israel was behind the 2013 military coup that ousted Mohammed
Morsi, Egypt’s first democratically elected president. Eldad made
the claim in an article published in
the Israeli newspaper Maariv.

In
the article, Eldad asserted:

“The
outbreak of the January revolution coincided with the Israeli
security assessment that President-elect Mohamed Morsi, a Muslim
Brotherhood man, intended to cancel the peace agreement with Israel
and send more Egyptian military forces to the Sinai Peninsula.”

Just
a few months into Morsi’s presidency, in August 2012, Israel had
publicly accused Morsi
of violating the peace treaty with Israel after Egypt responded to
terrorist attacks in the Sinai by sending an increased number of
troops. Morsi’s government accused Israel’s
Mossad of having been behind the attacks in order to destabilize his
government amid efforts to improve Egypt’s relations with Gaza.
Hamas, which has governed the Gaza Strip since 2007, as well as
Lebanon’s Hezbollah, also blamed Mossad for the attacks, a charge
Israel denied.

Eldad
then claimed that at this stage:

“Israel
was quick and willing to activate its diplomatic tools, and perhaps
even greater means, to bring Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to power in Egypt,
and convince the then-U.S. administration under President Barack
Obama not to oppose this move.”

Events
at the time support Eldad’s claim as, shortly after the coup,
Israel quickly launched diplomatic missions in the U.S. and several
European countries to push for support of Egypt’s new political
reality and to prevent a diplomatic blockade on Cairo following the
military coup.

Many
analysts have
noted that
under Al-Sisi, Egypt-Israel relations have grown to unprecedented
levels through policies often driven by Al-Sisi himself.

Why Israel
Wanted Morsi Out

While
Eldad cited concerns over a rupture of the Israel-Egypt peace
agreement as having motivated Israel’s role in the 2013 coup, a
more likely reason was related to Morsi’s relationship with Hamas
and efforts to normalize relations with Gaza.

Notably,
after Al-Sisi came to power, the Rafah crossing between Gaza and
Egypt and tunnels between Gaza and Egypt were abruptly
closed.
In addition, soon after the coup, “army-instigated anti-Palestinian
propaganda” was “rampant” throughout Cairo and Palestinians
that had flown into the Cairo airport were quickly deported back to
the countries they had recently arrived from, according to The
Guardian. In
contrast, while Morsi did not end the blockade of Gaza — in force
since 2007 — he had
improved conditions
for Palestinians living in the embattled enclave compared to those
under his predecessor, Hosni Mubarak.

Eldad,
in his article, hinted that the coup was related to a “religious
war” that Israel was and still is fighting against Palestine and
Arab majority nations, stating:

“Contrary
to all Israeli expectations, the Camp David agreement, which was made
40 years ago, has lasted for many decades despite the lack of real
peace between us and the Egyptians, and despite the failure to
resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, because this conflict is
not just geopolitical. We are rather having a religious war with the
Palestinians and Arabs.”

Though
Eldad’s recent statements make the connection between Morsi’s
relationship with Hamas and Israeli involvement in the 2013 coup more
clear, it had long been suspected. An Egyptian army
general told BBC soon
after the coup that Morsi’s alleged “collaboration” and good
relations with Hamas were a driving factor behind the coup.

In
a telling incident, Morsi was later
charged with
terrorism for allegedly conspiring with Hamas, Hezbollah, and
elements of the Iranian military to “destabilize” Egypt.
Morsi has
been imprisoned for
years, many of them spent in solitary confinement, and a U.K. panel
of legal experts asserted last year that harsh prison conditions will
likely lead to his “premature death.” Prior
to being charged for “collaborating” with Hamas, Morsi had
publicly praised Palestinian
“resistance” in Gaza. Another likely factor for Israel’s
decision to place Al-Sisi in power was Morsi’s efforts to normalize
relations with
Iran.

The
accusations against Morsi regarding alleged collaboration with
Hezbollah and Iran, both adversaries of Israel, seemed unusual to
some, given that Morsi had, during his time in office and during the
alleged “conspiracy,” cut
ties with
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and supported Assad’s overthrow by
opposition forces. Hezbollah and Iran, in contrast, supported Assad
and fought alongside the Syrian Army. Notably, Israel served as one
of the “masterminds” behind
the Syrian conflict, which Morsi supported. Hamas, like Morsi’s
government, had
also backed efforts
to oust Assad at the time, albeit less publicly.

Notably,
Al-Sisi’s government, widely considered a military dictatorship
despite a pale
sheen of
democracy, has forged increasingly close ties with Israel ever since
he came to power in the 2013 coup. This is unsurprising given Eldad’s
recent claim that Israel had orchestrated the coup in order to put
Al-Sisi in power. During his time in control of the country, Israel
and Egypt began “secretly”
coordinating military
actions in Egypt, a covert alliance that Al-Sisi had denied until
this January, when he admitted far-reaching
coordination between the IDF and the Egyptian military.

Al-Sisi’s
efforts to bring Egypt closer to Israel lack popular support, as most
trade unions and political parties oppose normalizing relations with
Israel. However, Al-Sisi — known for his brutal
repression of
protests, journalism and any form of dissent — has continued to
push forward in his efforts to forge
closer ties with
Israel, in apparent service to the country largely responsible for
his rise to power.

Israël en m.n. Palestijnenslachter en oorlogsmisdadiger Netanyahu, stellen
dode militairen boven levende ‘collega’s’ en ‘uiteraard’ (voor Israël) boven burgerslachtoffers, zeker als die burgers Palestijnen
zijn, maar ja die worden door Israël niet als mens gezien…..

Een dode Israëlische militair, die 37 jaar geleden om het leven kwam door een
domme beslissing van de legertop, werd door Rusland overgedragen aan Israël, althans wat er nog van hem over was en dat was niet veel meer
dan het uniform en het schoeisel dat hij droeg……

Netanyahu
gebruikt deze militair, Zacharia Baumel in zijn
verkiezingscampagne, hij zou dode militairen naar huis halen…… Meer daarover in het hieronder opgenomen artikel.

Zowel Israël als de Palestijnen en Syrië hebben een ‘leger aan dode
militairen’ achter de hand, om te gebruiken voor
onderhandelingen…… Hier moet aan toegevoegd worden dat Israël de
dood van militairen in het verleden gebruikt als excuus voor agressie
tegen burgers, zowel Palestijnse, Libanese als Syrische
burgers……

Het
aantal gedode burgers aan de kant van de Palestijnen, Libanezen en Syriërs staat al lang niet meer in verhouding tot het aantal gedode Israëlische militairen, niets nieuws zoals uit het begin van deze zin
blijkt, maar al vanaf de illegale stichting van de staat Israël…… Het vreemde aan de zaak is dat blijkbaar het grootste deel van het Israëlische volk ook vindt dat hun dood minder erg is dan dat van een militair, terwijl militairen er juist zijn om de de klappen op te vangen en burgers te beschermen……

Voor de oorlog tegen de Palestijnen in 2006 claimde Israël dat 2 van haar militairen werden gevangen genomen in de Gazastrook, terwijl men wist dat dit de 2 dood waren, daar de tank waar ze in zaten werd opgeblazen met een raket…… Daarop ondernam het Israëlisch leger een ‘zoekactie’ (lees: begon een oorlog tegen de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook) om de 2 te bevrijden, daarbij werden een paar duizend Palestijnse mensen vermoord door het Israëlische leger…… De zoveelste massamoord op rekening van Israël en dat op valse gronden…….

Netanyahu
is als de dood dat hij niet zal worden herkozen, waarna de weg
openligt om hem te vervolgen vanwege corruptie en grootschalige
fraude, vandaar dat hij de laatste weken steeds schunniger
opmerkingen maakt.

Zo heeft
Netanyahu al laten weten geen probleem te hebben met de volgens Israël meer dan 300 vermoorde Palestijnen aan de grens van de Gazastrook, zogenaamd op Palestijns
gebied……* Onder deze 300 meer dan 50 kinderen, duidelijk te herkennen medische hulpverleners en journalisten……. Ook heeft massamoordenaar Netanyahu beloofd dat hij
alle nederzettingen op de West Bank zal legaliseren als hij wordt
herkozen, sterker nog: hij zal dan zelfs de West Bank annexeren……

Ongelofelijk
dat de westerse regeringen hier niet op hebben gereageerd door
openlijk hun afschuw uit te spreken over de woorden van Netanyahu….
Blijkbaar ziet men commentaar leveren op de psychopathische agressie van Netanyahu ook als ‘het verstoren van het vredesproces’,
de dooddoener van westerse regeringen als Israël zich weer eens van
haar terroristische kant laat zien, bijvoorbeeld na het zoveelste
bloedbad te hebben aangericht onder Palestijnen, alsof
oorlogsmisdaden van Israël het vredesproces tussen Palestijnen en Israël niet verstoren……

Zecharia
Baumel was killed in one the most needless and stupid battles of the
First Lebanon War, a war full of many such battles.

Baumel,
a young reservist, was made a false sacrifice by the Government of
Israel on the altar of the hallucinatory concept of controlling
Lebanon. The government owes him an apology, and must ask his pardon.
It is hard to believe that the belated transfer of the remains of his
body to Israel merits the title of apology; let us, then, begin this
discussion with the old burial prayer: “I hereby ask of pardon and
forgiveness. Everything we did was for your honor, according with the
tradition of Yisrael. Go in peace, and rest in peace.”

One
does not fight the dead. Their love, their hate and their jealousy
have long since vanished; never shall they have a part in anything
that happens under the sun.

But
as for fighting those who misuse them – well, that’s quite a
different matter.

Let’s
begin with the facts. Baumel, a tank commander, was killed on June
11, 1982 in the Battle of Sultan Yaakub, in which an Israeli division
managed to stumble into an ambush by Syrian commando forces. While it
was known he was killed, his body – and that of two of his comrades
– was never recovered. As is customary in the Middle East, the
victors who held the battlefield (in this case, the Syrians and some
Palestinian militias) took the bodies in the hope of one day
parlaying them into some advantage. Baumel’s destroyed tank was
driven through the streets of Damascus in a ghoulish triumph; in
1993, Yasser Arafat presented Yizhak Rabin with one half of Baumel’s
dog tags. Obviously someone else was holding the other half, in
anticipation of some reward.

(The
Syrians and the Palestinians aren’t alone in this. Israel has a
whole graveyard, The Graveyard of the Enemy Dead, where bodies are
kept until their time on the market comes.)

A
week or two ago, Russian troops acting with Syrian troops transferred
secretly to Israel the contents of a whole graveyard from the Yarmuq
Refugee Camp, which the Syrians have taken from some militia. The
Russians claimed it was held by some ISIS affiliate, but one should
be careful about such Russian claims. Be that as it may, on Wednesday
the Israeli public was surprised to hear that the IDF has conducted
“an intelligence operation,” as a result of which the bodily
remains of Baumel were identified.

The
IDF and Netanyahu’s office bombarded the media with news of an
“operation”, colonels with initials instead of names spoke of
their part in the glorious operation, and everyone blessed Military
Intelligence.

Nobody
said anything about Russians. In fact, military censorship forbade
any mention of
Russian involvement, at first.

Given
this partial information, my first horrified thought was “Oh my
God, the fuckers did it again.”

Israel
has developed an obsession with its war dead – an obsession which
became deeper as the country had no actual wars. In godforsaken 2004,
the only good of which could be said was that it was better than
2006, I was duty editor – twice – when Gazans blew up a tank and
Armored Personnel Carrier. One was in the middle of the Strip; the
other was near the Egyptian border, in a thin strip called
Philadelphy Route.

There
isn’t much left when a tank blows up.

Nevertheless,
IDF brass gave the order, and soldiers obeyed, that the area near the
explosions is to be combed – literally combed – in search after
body remains. Soon I was watching IDF soldiers crawling in the dust,
looking for the remains of their comrades.

Under
fire.

Which
killed at least one soldier.

Now,
I have no problem with the Palestinian militiamen who blew up tanks
and fired at enemy soldiers. War is war. If you’re carrying a gun
in an occupied territory, you’re basically asking for it. I served
for two years in Gaza, during the First Intifada. I insisted then
that if some Palestinian would shoot me, that would certainly be
annoying, but I would not bear a grudge, nor should anyone bear one
in my name. It was my choice to serve in an occupied territory and
carry a gun.

I
did have a huge problem with the military – and the Israeli public.
See, normally an army is supposed to take the shots instead of the
civilians. But during the horrid years of the Second Intifada, the
pyramid was reversed. The number of dead soldiers was relatively low,
but the number of dead civilians hit the roof.

And
the civilians seem to like it that way. The general sentiment was
that it’s pretty bad if a bus blows up, but it’s much worse if a
tank blows up. Military lives were deemed to be of more importance
than civilian life. And this attitude moved from dead soldiers to
pieces of dead soldiers. I was appalled at the fact the order to
crawl under fire to get some body parts met with no refusal from the
soldiers; and the general public seemed to think this was perfectly
normal.

That
is, we had a whole new pyramid. At its base were civilian life; they
counted for little. Above them, soldiers’ lives. They mattered
more. And then, at the apex, soldiers’ bodies. It seemed totally
reasonable to risk the lives of soldiers in order to get soldiers’
body parts.  I was not sure who lost his mind, me or the
country.

That
was bloody 2004. Then came fucking 2006. The Lebanon War began when
Hizbullah fired a rocket at military vehicle which was moseying about
near the Lebanon border. Two soldiers, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad
Regev, were killed on the spot. Hizbullah hijacked the bodies and
were gone with them before the IDF understood what happened. The fool
commanding the division, Gal Hirsch (he’s running for the Knesset
in the “Shield of Israel” party, his chances non-existent),
ordered a tank to guard the destroyed vehicle. Hizbullah destroyed
the tank. The number of dead was now eight, and once the Chief of
Staff sold
his shares portfolio,
the war started.

The
IDF and the PM (then Ehud Olmert) pretended Goldwasser and Regev were
alive, even though IDF forensics knew they were dead a few hours
after the rocket attack. When a rocket hits a vehicle, there isn’t
much left of the soldiers. There was enough blood on the spot to know
Goldwasser and Regev were dead. Olmert and the army took the country
to war on false pretenses: they claimed they were alive and promised
to get them back.

When
it all ended, thousands of dead and unknown number of traumas later,
Hizbullah negotiated for the bodies. Natch. Israel gave almost all of
its Hizbullah captives. The government, which was in serious trouble
at the time – one poll showed Olmert with 2% support, versus
Hizbullah’s leader Nasrallah, with 4% – did its best to convince
the public there’s a chance Goldwasser and Regev are alive, in
order for the deal to pass. The media ate it up.

Of
course, they were dead and Olmert knew it for months. When the
Hizbullah truck opened and two coffins were brought out, with the
Hizbullah representative sadistically crying, “Here they are!”,
the country went into shock.

And
it still supported the deal. After all, dead soldiers are more
important than living soldiers.

So,
when the news came of Baumel’s body being brought to burial, I
found myself hoping: not again, not again, no more risking of lives
over dead bodies.

The
next day (Thursday), Netanyahu met with Putin in Moscow. A Russian
honor guard presented Netanyahu with
a coffin draped in an Israeli flag and
supposed to contain Baumel’s combat tank suit and boots.

Somebody
fucked up badly, because an IDF colonel spoke the night before of
examining Baumel’s combat suit, in Israel, and of the meticulous
care he and his unit – never identified – had taken of making
certain it was indeed Baumel’s suit. I guess someone forgot to
update the Russians; either that, or this was one of Putin’s little
jokes.

In
short, the whole affair was a propaganda stunt from start to finish.
The point was to portray Netanyahu, five days before the elections,
as someone who can bring dead soldiers home. Which is precisely how
the media played it: “bringing the son home.”

But
Baumel is dead, has been dead for 37 years, life ending in a dreadful
last hour and a semi-second of a flash. The officers who sent him –
and 19 of his comrades – to a pointless death were not punished;
the politician who sent the army there, Ariel Sharon, overcame that
debacle and became a prime minister. And now the remains of Baumel
are being used in a cynical ploy to ensure Netanyahu’s reelection.
A trick which might just work: after all, dead soldiers are more
important than live soldiers, who in turn are more important than
live civilians.

We
have badly misused you, Zecharia Baumel. Rest now in peace. We beg
your forgiveness, and perhaps not everything we did was for your
honor. Beg mercy for us, for we shall need it.

Alan Johnston, de BBC correspondent die in 2007 werd ontvoerd en die door de ‘militante tak’ (woorden op Wikipedia*) van Hamas werd bevrijd, is intussen een brave correspondent geworden, die vooral de door de BBC gewilde Israëlische propaganda uitdraagt…..

In het BBC World Service nieuws van 11.00 u. (CET) gistermorgen was Johnston te horen met een sensationeel verhaal over Hezbollah tunnels, die deze groep zou hebben gegraven vanuit Libanon onder de grens met Israël, om zo aanslagen te kunnen plegen op Israëlisch grondgebied…..

Jammer voor Johnston, maar ‘het nieuws’ dat hij bracht, letterlijk overgenomen van een woordvoerder van het psychopathisch gewelddadige Israëlische leger, is een ‘nieuwtje’ van een aantal weken geleden, waar toen al van werd gezegd, dat dit bericht onbetrouwbaar was…. Onbetrouwbaar daar Hezbollah in het grensgebied wel tunnels heeft gegraven, maar dat deze dienen als bescherming voor burgers en Hezbollah leden, dit tegen de agressie van dat Israëlische leger, men stelde destijds dat de tunnels niet onder grens door in Israëlisch grondgebied eindigden……

Ofwel: Johnson laat zich door de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël gebruiken, om propaganda tegen Libanon en Hezbollah in het bijzonder te maken…….. Het voorgaande, terwijl Israël de laatste maanden al troepen en militair materieel aan de grens met Libanon heeft samengetrokken (en dat nog schijnt te doen, overigens nu ook op de Golanhoogten)…….. Kortom Johnston helpt Israël de stok om de Libanese hond te slaan

Ach ja, de BBC heeft al heel lang niets meer van doen met onafhankelijke journalistiek en neemt het telkens weer op voor terreurstaat Israël, ongeacht de massamoorden die de regering van dit van de Palestijnen gestolen land begaat……….

Trumps beslissing de VS terug te trekken uit Syrië, wordt door Bolton en Netanyahu geblokkeerd

Nadat Trump zijn ‘besluit’ bekend maakte VS troepen snel terug te trekken uit Syrië, brak er een storm van protest los bij VS politici van de democraten, republikeinen en van Israël. Alsof de bezetting door de VS van Syrisch grondgebied volkomen legitiem was….. Zoals je waarschijnlijk wel weet, is de VS illegaal aanwezig op soeverein Syrisch grondgebied…….

Snel na de verklaring van Trump verzekerde oorlogsmisdadiger Bolton al dat het zo’n vaart niet zou lopen en alsof hij Trump kon besturen, verklaarde deze dat de terugtrekking van VS troepen uit Syrië, niet op stel en sprong zou worden uitgevoerd……..

De corrupte oorlogsmisdadiger Netanyahu had het gore lef te stellen dat voor Israël de legitimatie van de annexatie van de Golanhoogten middels het verkrijgen van soevereiniteit over het gebied, de belangrijkste reden was om te protesteren tegen de terugtrekking van VS troepen uit Syrië, althans zeker niet te snel…

Het is dan ook duidelijk dat Trumps macht intussen aan banden ligt. Bolton die Trump adviseert, stelde dan ook dat de terugtrekking van VS troepen uit Syrië, gecoördineerd zal worden met de fascistische terreur- en apartheidsstaat Israël…..

Overigens is er een tweede reden voor een langzame terugtrekking van VS troepen uit Syrië, waarbij Israël nogmaals een belangrijke rol speelt: Iran en Hezbollah, die beiden strijders hebben in Syrië….. Een langzame terugtrekking van VS troepen, zodat er niet een ‘snelweg’ tussen Iran en Libanon zal ontstaan, een weg waarover Iran dan wapens en ander oorlogstuig voor Hezbollah zou kunnen vervoeren richting Libanon…….. 

Terwijl Israël intussen al honderden gevechtsvluchten heeft uitgevoerd op Syrisch grondgebied (en dat via een illegale aanvliegroute over Libanon….), stuk voor stuk ernstige oorlogsmisdaden, waarbij Israël, als het al toegeeft een bombardement te hebben uitgevoerd, steevast het argument noemt dat men met deze bombardementen heeft willen voorkomen dat er oorlogstuig richting Libanon wordt vervoerd….. Dit in tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld de doelen die Israël bombardeert, meestal posities of bases van het reguliere Syrische leger……

Voorts staan de ‘gematigde’ terreurgroepen, inclusief IS, achter de wens van Israël de soevereiniteit over de Golanhoogten te krijgen en definitief aan haar grondgebied toe te voegen….. De terreurgroepen staan achter deze wil van Israël vanwege de hulp die Israël aan die terreurgroepen gaf. Zo heeft Israël meermaals Syrische reguliere troepen gebombardeerd, als zij terreurgroepen in de buurt van de Golanhoogten dreigden te overvleugelen en heeft Israël jihadterroristen die gewond waren geraakt in Syrië, opgeknapt op de Golanhoogten en in ernstige gevallen zelfs in Israëlische in ziekenhuizen……

(MPN) — The state of Israel seems to share at least some of the responsibility for the latest shift of U.S. Syria policy — as National Security Adviser John Bolton announced on Sunday that President Donald Trump’s call to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria would now be “coordinated” with Israel, after meeting with top Israeli officials including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel’s main motivation in preventing a swift U.S. exit from Syria was also made explicit by Netanyahu, who openly stated on Twitter that Israel’s push to obtain sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights – which is internationally recognized as part of Syria – was the driving factor behind Israel’s recent efforts to dramatically slow down Trump’s plan for an “immediate” withdrawal of U.S. troops currently occupying Syrian territory illegally.

As MintPress noted at the time of Trump’s withdrawal announcement, Israel’s influence on Trump’s Middle East policy and Israel’s push towards containing “Iranian influence” in Syria would mean that Trump’s plan to withdraw troops over the alleged defeat of ISIS would likely never materialize if it was opposed by Tel Aviv.

This was apparently and not surprisingly the case as, soon after Trump’s announcement that he planned to bring U.S. troops home from Syria last month, Israel’s government announced that it would dramatically rev up its direct involvement in the Syrian conflict in the U.S.’ absence. That involvement had so far been limited to hundreds of unilateral airstrikes on Syrian government and military targets over the course of the nearly eight-year-long war. Israel’s threat of escalation revealed Israel’s unwillingness to see foreign pressure on Damascus reduced.

Israel’s military — currently headed by Netanyahu, who is also serving as Israel’s defense minister — made good on this promise to increase its military involvement in Syria soon after, using civilian airplanes as cover to launch airstrikes on Syria on Christmas Day.

However, Israel’s reaction to Trump’s announcement appears to have been much more extensive than its decision to increase its airstrikes targeting Syrian territory. After meeting with Netanyahu and the director of Israeli intelligence, Bolton noted on Twitter that the “U.S. drawdown in Syria” would now be “coordinated” with Israel. Also on Sunday, Bolton announced that the U.S. had no timetable for troop withdrawal from Syria and that the troop withdrawal was also conditional.

This is just the latest indication that the state of Israel is acquiring unprecedented influence over U.S. troop deployments in the region, as the commander of U.S. European Command (EURCOM) noted last year that Israeli generals — not American generals — have the power to deploy U.S. troops to Israel to fight on Israel’s behalf. Now, Bolton — after meeting with Israeli officials — has stated that Israel’s government will also wield tremendous influence over whether or not U.S. troops will be leaving Syria.

Spotlight on the Golan Heights

In publicly discussing his meeting with Bolton on Twitter, Netanyahu noted that a key topic of ongoing discussion with Bolton regarding Syria would involve Israel’s claim to the Golan Heights, a plateau bordering Israel, Lebanon and Syria that Israel has occupied since 1967 and later annexed in 1981.

Netanyahu announced that he and Bolton would be traveling together to the area on Monday and added:

The Golan Heights is tremendously important for our security. When you’re there you’ll be able to understand perfectly why we’ll never leave the Golan Heights and why it’s Heights
and why it’s important all countries recognize Israel’s
sovereignty over it.”

As MintPress has
noted in the past, understanding the significance of the Golan
Heights is in many ways key to understanding why the Syrian conflict
was engineered by foreign powers in the first place. This is because,
with the Golan Heights in mind, Israel hatched
a plan
in 2006 to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by creating
sectarian strife in the country with the hopes that whoever succeeded
Assad would be willing to relinquish Syria’s claim to the
territory.

Yet,
this plan was never designed to be enacted by Israel but instead by
the United States. The U.S. eventually adopted the plan and the
communications of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed
it was a driving factor in U.S. policy leading up to the genesis of
the Syrian conflict. One of her leaked emails,
published by WikiLeaks, stated that “the best way to help Israel
deal with Iran’s growing nuclear capability is to help the people
of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad.”

That
same email also noted that “a successful intervention in Syria
would require substantial diplomatic and military leadership from the
United States.” It added that “arming the Syrian rebels and using
Western air power to ground Syrian helicopters and airplanes is a
low-cost high-payoff approach.”

Unsurprisingly,
official recognition of Israel’s annexation of the Golan was
prominent among the regime-change promises touted by Syrian “rebels.”
Over the course of the war, rebels have,  in their bid to
overthrow Assad, offered to “trade”
or sell the
Golan Heights to Israel in exchange for military aid or an
Israeli-imposed “no-fly zone.”

This
also helps explain why Israel was so eager to fund, arm and aid
“rebel” groups along the Syria-Israel border, as it offered the
justification for the Israeli occupation of a “buffer zone” that,
according to Syrian opposition sources and Israeli-American NGOs, was
“intended to keep the Syrian army and its Iranian and Lebanese
allies as far away from Israel’s border as possible, as well as
solidify Israel’s control over the occupied Golan Heights.”
However, the success of the Syrian military’s efforts in southern
Syria forced Israel to abandon its buffer zone and seek other means
to strengthen its claim to the territory.

The
Golan: What’s in it for Israel?

Israel
created this plan to weaken or overthrow the Syrian state largely
because it is eager to cement its claim to the Golan Heights. In
order to accomplish that, regime change in Syria is essential, as the
international community still
refuses to
recognize Israel’s seizure and continued occupation of the Golan as
legal. This bars Israel from commercially developing the area’s
rich resources, which explains Israel’s willingness to go to war
over a seemingly small
and insignificant tract of land. However, a new Syrian government,
one more “friendly” to Israeli interests, could officially
relinquish Syria’s claim to the Golan, paving the way for the
complete and official annexation of the territory by Israel.

At
the time the plan was created, the main motivator for Israel was the
Golan’s freshwater reserves, as the Golan is one
of three sources of
freshwater available to the Israeli state — and is the largest in
size and most abundant, as it includes the mountain streams that feed
Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) and the headwaters of the Jordan
river.

This
makes this area even more important to Israel, given that Israel is
in its sixth
year of
a drought so massive that a NASA study called it the worst drought in
the region in nearly
900 years.
Thus, the water resources of the Golan Heights are essential to
Israel’s existence as well as its expansionist ambitions.

Though
recent Israeli investment in desalination plants have since reduced
its dependence on Golan water resources, the discovery of oil in the
Golan in 2015 dramatically strengthened Israel’s resolve to gain
complete sovereignty over the occupied territory.

The
oil reserve discovered in the Golan Heights is estimated to contain
“billions of barrels” of crude oil that could turn Israel –
which currently imports the vast majority of its fuel – into a net
oil exporter. Yet, because the Golan Heights are internationally
recognized as being under occupation and not an official part of
Israel, the commercial extraction and export of this vast oil reserve
cannot move forward — until this status changes.

As
a result, only exploratory wells have been drilled, mostly by
a division
of Genie Energy Co.,
a U.S.-based oil company connected to Rupert Murdoch, Jacob
Rothschild, Dick Cheney and former CIA Director James Woolsey, among
other powerful individuals in the U.S. and the U.K.

The
involvement of such influential figures in future oil extraction
endeavors in the Golan Heights – dependent as they are on Israel
acquiring sovereignty over the territory — likely explains why the
U.S., as well as the U.K., has been so willing to help initiate and
then perpetuate the Syrian conflict, which is soon to enter its
eighth year.

Geopolitics
First: The America-Israel Mideast axis

While
Netanyahu’s statements show that the Golan Heights is a key driver
for Israel in its refusal to let the Syrian conflict wind down, it is
important to note that Israel and its allies abroad are also
interested in the partitioning of Syria in order to keep the country
weak and conflict-ridden for the foreseeable future. This call to
partition Syria as well as other countries in the region, such as
Iraq, dates back to the Yinon Plan that was developed in 1982 and
seeks to partition and weaken other regional states through the
engineering of sectarianism, in order to allow Israel to emerge as
the region’s sole superpower.

This
is worth pointing out, given Israel’s recent effort to take control
of the U.S. troop pull-out (or lack thereof) from Syria, as the U.S.
State Department is also promoting a plan as of this past weekend
that would push for the partition of northeastern Syria were U.S.
troops to begin to withdraw from Syrian territory.

Thus,
the announcement that the troop “withdrawal” will now be
coordinated with Israel and that the U.S.’ new policy for
northeastern Syria will involve partition shows that another “America
First” Trump policy has quickly morphed instead into an “Israel
First” plan.

In het hieronder opgenomen artikel,
geschreven door voormalig VN-wapeninspecteur Scott Ritter en eerder
gepubliceerd op The American Conservative, stelt hij dat niet de VS, maar
vooral Iran de eer toekomt van het verslaan van IS in zowel Irak als Syrië…..

Ritter verhaalt over het ontstaan van
IS en alle daarbij behorende gore spelletjes van de VS, waarbij hij
de VS in feite beschuldigt van het beschermen van en samenwerken met IS,
al was het alleen om Assad af te kunnen zetten en nu als stok
tegen Iran te gebruiken…….. Intussen heeft IS al een paar aanslagen gepleegd in Iran (met de hulp van de CIA). Over de CIA gesproken: de VS heeft toegegeven dat het al jaren bezig is om de oppositie in Iran te steunen en op te zetten tegen de regering……. Zo zijn ook de zogenaamde opstanden die de laatste jaren in Iran plaatsvonden (uiterst gewelddadige ‘opstanden’), georganiseerd door de CIA…..

Scott Ritter was VN-wapeninspecteur voorafgaand aan de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak in 2003. Keer
op keer liet hij de VN, de reguliere (massa-) media en politici weten
dat Irak niet langer de beschikking had over ‘massavernietigingswapens
en dat dit uit en te na was onderzocht door hem en z’n team, waarbij
Ritter uiteindelijk zijn gelijk haalde….. Lullig genoeg haalde hij z’n gelijk, pas lang nadat de VS Irak aanviel….* Deze illegale oorlog van de VS betekende de dood van meer dan nu al 1,5 miljoen
mensen (in feite is de oorlog in Irak nog steeds gaande….)….. Ach ja, de VS: de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde…….

is the U.S. now allowing its last remnants to survive in Syria to
spite Tehran?

Until
recently the United States viewed the Islamic State in Iraq and
Syria, or ISIS, as a major threat to regional stability in the Middle
East. Barack Obama made it a mission to roll
back ISIS’s territorial and propagandistic gain,
and Donald Trump campaigned on a promise to “kick
ISIS’s ass.”
The United States expended considerable effort, both military and
political, in a campaign to defeat the terror group in Iraq and, to a
lesser extent, in Syria.

But
there is also no doubt that the bulk of the effort came from Iran,
not the United States. Without Iranian involvement, ISIS would still
have a formidable presence in both Iraq and Syria.  

ISIS
was born out of the ashes of the American invasion of Iraq. Their
rise was the logical extension of a process that saw the fabric
of secular Sunni society torn asunder by an American occupier
unwilling to further empower a Sunni ruling elite that had been loyal
to Saddam Hussein. Washington failed to understand the resentment
engendered within the Sunni community when Iraq’s Shia, some of
whom were beholden to Iran, came to power.

Traditional
Sunni tribal power structures were eviscerated as a result, only to
be replaced with radicalized Sunni youths beholden to only
themselves. Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) was al-Qaeda in name only—its
mission wasn’t to export jihad to the West, but to free Iraq from
the grips of an American and Iranian occupation.  

America’s
campaign against AQI never resulted in that movement’s destruction.
Instead, the United States, in an effort to free itself of the burden
of war created when it invaded Iraq in the first place, withdrew
from Iraq in 2012,
leaving the final phase of AQI’s destruction in the hands of the
Iraqi government. This period coincided with the start of the civil
unrest in Syria and the creation of a radicalized Islamist opposition
to Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad. The willingness to cede
large swaths of Syrian territory to Islamist forces as a means of
destabilizing Assad created the conditions for the birth of ISIS in
the deserts of both central Syria and western Iraq.

When
ISIS advanced on the Iraqi cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, the
American-trained and -equipped Iraqi army was unable to halt its
advance. Soon the
major city of Mosul fell to ISIS,
and its forces pushed down the Tigris River valley to the outskirts
of Baghdad.

The
story of Iraq’s struggle to form a viable resistance to ISIS in the
aftermath of the fall of Mosul is little known, and even less
appreciated, by the United States. The formation of so-called
“Popular
Mobilization Forces,”
or PMF—organized at the behest of Iraq’s senior Shia leadership,
and trained, equipped, and led by Iran—was the single most
important factor behind the halting of ISIS’s drive on Baghdad and
its eventual eviction from Iraqi territory.

Western
media have paid a disproportionate amount of attention to the actions
of a select few American-trained Iraqi security forces, which, with
ample support from U.S. airpower and advisors, helped end fighting in
and around Mosul. All the while, they’ve ignored that the lion’s
share of the fighting was done by the Iranian-directed PMF. This fact
was not lost on the Iraqi people, many of whom (though not many of
the Sunnis) hold the PMF in the highest regard. This sentiment has
propelled many of the senior leadership of the PMF into political
prominence in Baghdad.

For
Iran, the ISIS phenomenon is not limited to Iraq. It is seen as part
and parcel of a concerted effort undertaken by the United States,
Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf Arab nations to overthrow Assad in Syria,
diminish the power and influence of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and roll
back Iranian influence in both Syria and Iraq. ISIS’s geographic
presence in Syria, concentrated as it was in the central and
northeastern deserts, made it a secondary target compared to the
al-Qaeda affiliates operating in and around Aleppo and Damascus.

As
the Syrian government, with the assistance of Russia, Iran, and
Hezbollah, gained the upper hand in the fight against the American-
and Saudi-backed al-Qaeda groups, however, the importance of ISIS as
a source of anti-regime resistance grew. While ISIS never had the
power to challenge Damascus directly, the
efforts undertaken by the Syrian coalition to defeat ISIS diverted
resources needed in the larger fight.
As such, the continued existence of a viable ISIS presence on Syrian
soil was deemed an acceptable outcome by the United States as it
sought to contain Iran’s presence on Syrian soil.

ISIS
in Syria lingers on, despite the fact that U.S. military power could
ensure its almost immediate elimination. The reason for the stay of
execution is not entirely clear, but it could well be that the U.S.
sees ISIS as a useful foil against Iran. Efforts by the United States
to roll back Iran’s presence inside Syria have recently become more
volatile in the wake of fiery rhetoric from senior Trump
administration officials and actions undertaken by Iran to harden
their positions. The American policy of Iranian rollback includes the
re-imposition of economic sanctions and support for opposition groups
opposed to the Iranian theocracy.  

The
latter point is very sensitive. This sensitivity has only been
heightened by remarks from Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin
Salman suggesting that any struggle for influence between Riyadh and
Tehran ought to take place “inside
Iran, not in Saudi Arabia,”
and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s encouraging Iranian Arab
minorities to rise up in opposition to the Iranian government.

When gunmen
linked to ISIS attacked a military parade in the Iranian city of
Ahvaz,
killing and wounding dozens, the Iranian government was quick to
blame the United States and Saudi Arabia, among others, and promise
retaliation in kind. This prompted National Security Advisor John
Bolton to declare to Iran that “there
will indeed be hell to pay”
if Iran or its proxies attacked the U.S. or its allies.

A
few days later, Iranian
rockets were launched,
not against American targets in Basra, but locations in Syria linked
to ISIS. While the Iranian strike was in clear retaliation for the
Ahvaz attack, the rockets were emblazoned with slogans hostile to the
United States, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. This made it clear that the
strike was meant for a broader audience. Among those who took notice
were the American forces located a mere three miles away from the
targets struck by the Iranians.  

Rising
tensions and strong rhetoric, if not carefully managed, could easily
lead to an unintended—and dangerous—escalation of hostilities.
This could test President Donald Trump’s uncertain appetite for
direct conflict. Moreover, the American effort to stir up an Iranian
opposition could do more to unite competing power factions within
Iran’s leadership, and unite Iranians behind that leadership, than
to divide and weaken the Iranian polity. The Trump administration
seems to operate under the delusion that Iran’s president, Hassan
Rouhani, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and  Iran’s
supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, are operating in different spheres with
somewhat disparate interests. U.S. efforts to drive a wedge between
Rouhani and Khamenei will not only  prove fruitless, but
backfire, closing the door to any potential negotiations and
cementing a hardline response that will have Rouhani, the IRGC, and
the supreme leader united in their opposition.

The
United States is engaged in a dangerous double game with ISIS that is
not only hypocritical in the extreme—given the 9/11 attacks on
American soil that precipitated this whole sorry affair—but
counterproductive to American national security interests. It has
both empowered and legitimized the very Iranian theocracy it seeks to
contain.

Rather
than relying on ISIS as a foil to blunt Iranian influence in Syria
and terrorize its citizenry at home, the Trump administration should
recognize the positive role that Iran has played in defeating ISIS.
It should build upon that recognition to craft a wider regional peace
process that both recognizes the realities inherent in Syria today
and reduces the tensions that prompt Iran to lean forward in such an
aggressive manner. Unfortunately, such thinking seems beyond the
capabilities of Mike Pompeo and John Bolton. As such, America will
continue to pursue poorly thought out policies with no chance of
success without any thought to either cost or consequence.

Jeremy Bowen (BBC correspondent) vindt Iran een gevaar voor het Midden-Oosten

Na de smerige beschuldigingen dat Labour Partijleider Jeremy Corbyn een antisemitische Jodenhater is, waaraan de BBC een fikse steen heeft bijgedragen, laat BBC Midden-Oosten correspondent Bowen weten dat Iran inderdaad terreur exporteert……. (als je tegenwoordig kritiek hebt op de fascistische terreurstaat Israël, ben je meteen een antisemiet en Jodenhater, dat overkomt zelfs Joden die kritiek hebben op hun eigen overheid, of Joden die vanuit het buitenland in feite hetzelfde stellen, zoals Hajo Meijer, NB een overlevende van de nazi-Duitse vernietigingskampen, de heer Meijer is in 2014 overleden en is een voormalig medewerker van ‘Een ander Joods geluid’. …..

Schoft Bowen was afgelopen zaterdag te horen op BBC World Service radio, waar hem werd gevraagd of Iran terreur exporteert, zoals de VS en Israël beweren. Volgens Bowen klopt dat als je kijkt naar de steun van Iran voor Hamas en Hezbollah, waaraan hij voor het gemak ook nog even de steun van Iran voor de Houthi’s in Jemen toevoegde, terwijl die steun bestaat uit de levering van niets anders dan humanitaire hulpgoederen voor een volk waarop de Saoedische terreurcoalitie, met hulp van de VS en GB, een genocide uitvoeren…….

Nooit zijn de beschuldigingen bewezen dat Iran wapens levert aan de Houthi’s of dat Iraanse militairen vechten in Jemen, toch blijft deze leugen gehandhaafd, niet alleen door westerse politici, maar ook door de reguliere (massa-) media, zoals de BBC World Service radio, een zogenaamde onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde, met de grootste luisterdichtheid op onze kleine aarde voor haar ‘nieuws’ (veelal ‘fake news’ of zoals wij dat zouden moeten noemen: ‘nepnieuws’) en actualiteiten….. Zoals je ook hier weer kan lezen: Bowen werkt daar aan mee…..

Dan Hamas en Hezbollah, beiden organisaties die zich inzetten voor hun bevolking en ja daar hoort ook het bevechten van onrecht en terreur bij. Het onrecht dat de Palestijnen al ondervinden vanaf de illegale stichting van de staat Israël en daarmee de uiterst gewelddadige verdrijving van Palestijnen uit gebieden, waar zij al honderden jaren woonden en werkten…… Het onrecht van openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook, waar het de Palestijnse mensen aan alles ontbreekt……

BBC zou een onafhankelijk radiostation zijn, echter daar is al heel lang niets meer van te merken, sterker nog, de BBC bedient haar overheid als een trouwe lakei, amper of geen commentaar op de enorme wapenleveringen van Groot-Brittannië aan Saoedi-Arabië, dat zoals gezegd godbetert met de hulp van Groot-Brittannië en de VS, een genocide uitvoert in Jemen….. Daarvoor levert GB wapens, munitie, rollend, varend en vliegend oorlogstuig, verder zorgt GB voor militaire training van Saoedische militairen…….. zoals bekend steunde en steunt GB ook de illegale oorlogen van de VS tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië…… Wie is de grootste terreurstaat in het Midden-Oosten: Israël, Saoedi-Arabië, de VS en Groot-Brittannië, of Iran????

Vond op deze BBC site een kort praatje van Bowen over het ‘conflict’ tussen Israël en de Palestijnen (‘conflict’ lees: een oorlog van Israël tegen de Palestijnen, een oorlog die niets anders is dan een langzame en gewelddadige etnische zuivering…) Bowen stelt dat zolang Joden en Palestijnen niet kunnen samenleven in Israël, het lijden zal blijven bestaan, waarmee Bowen duidelijk aangeeft dat de zionistische Joden ook lijden…….. Zionisten of beter nog: fascisten die Israël willen zuiveren van Palestijnen uit de gebieden waar zij nog wonen, ofwel hen gewelddadig willen deporteren uit de door deze zionisten en hun illegale staat volkomen ten onrechte geannexeerde Palestijnse gebieden….. ‘Verjagen’ met ongebreideld geweld zoals Israël dat in 1948 en 1967 heeft gedaan, ofwel over de lijken van Palestijnen en hun kinderen…….

Israëlische leger geeft toe wapens en grote sommen geld te hebben geleverd aan terreurgroepen in Syrië, om later het bericht te censureren……

The
Jerusalem Post bracht het ‘nieuws’ dat Israël 7 terreurgroepen in Syrië van wapens en grote hoeveelheden contanten heeft voorzien, dit
nieuws kwam van Israëlische militairen. Eén van deze terreurgroepen
was Furson al-Joulan….. ‘Was’ want Israël zou afgelopen juli zijn
gestopt met de wapenleveranties aan deze terreurgroepen (die in het
westen ‘gematigde rebellen’ worden genoemd), daar het gebied dat ze
beheersten in handen is gevallen van het reguliere Syrische leger.

Vreemd
dat het Israëlische leger e.e.a. toegaf en even later The Jerusalem
Post dwong het artikel van de site te halen…… Misschien kijk je
daarvan op, daar de reguliere media in het westen keer op keer
herhalen dat de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël het enige democratische land in het Midden-Oosten
is, terwijl het Israëlische leger (Israeli Defense Forces >>
IDF) het recht heeft om berichten te censureren….. ha! ha! ha! ha!
ha! ha! ha! Nee, echt een ‘geweldig functionerende democratie’ in Israël…….

Het
was overigens al lang bekend dat Israël wapens leverde aan
terreurgroepen in Syrië, zelfs aan IS…… Zoals Anna Ahranheim in
het Jerusalem Post artikel hieronder schrijft: al lang werd er door Syrië op gewezen dat men wapens en munitie vond met daarop hebreeuws
schrift……. Voorts (wat niet wordt genoemd in het artikel dat hieronder is opgenomen) heeft Israël wapens en
geavanceerde wapensystemen via Oost-Europese landen geleverd aan
terreurgroepen in Syrië, waar m.n. Hongarije en als ik me niet vergis Tsjechië werden genoemd als landen van doorvoer……. (overigens zou Israël ook wapens hebben gekocht in die landen t.b.v. die
terreurgroepen……)

De
actie van wapenleveringen en contanten aan terreurgroepen werd door Israël ‘Operation
Good Neighbor’* (ha! ha! ha!) genoemd. Jammer dat Jason Ditz en Anna Ahranheim niet
het oplappen van terroristen noemen. Op de Golanhoogten had het het Israëlische leger medische hulpposten ingericht voor gewond geraakte
leden van terreurgroepen in Syrië (zwaar gewonde terroristen werden
vervoerd naar ziekenhuizen in Israël..), zodat ze na te zijn
opgeknapt door konden gaan met vechten tegen het Syrische leger en terreur uitoefenen op de bevolking……. (Israël is één van de landen die Assad weg wil hebben, daarover zo meer)

De
militaire bronnen stellen dat het vooral gaat om terreurgroepen (niet
zo genoemd, zoals je begrijpt) die in het zuiden van Syrië langs de Israëlische grens waren gestationeerd, echter ook in andere delen van Syrië werd Israëlisch oorlogstuig gevonden…… Israël is dan ook
één van de grote belanghebbenden die Assad uit het zadel willen
wippen en Syrië willen opdelen à la Balkan, of wel een Balkanisering
van Syrië, kleine staatjes die nooit weer een bedreiging zullen vormen voor Israël….. 

Tot slot: Israël en Egypte zijn 2 landen die het verdrag tegen gebruik en productie van chemische wapens niet hebben getekend…. Gezien het feit dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ beschikken over voorraden gifgas als chlorine en sarin (bekend bij en gedoogd door westerse regeringen), is het bepaald niet ondenkbaar dat zij beschikken over Israëlisch gifgas…….

Military Admits to Arming Syrian Rebels, Then Censors Story

(ANTIWAR.COM) — The
Jerusalem Post, a major Israeli newspaper, published an article on
Wednesday quoting Israeli military officials as saying that they had
been providing seven different Syrian rebel groups with “large
amounts of cash, weapons and ammunition.”

Though
the report did not name all of the rebel factions subsidized by
Israel, it did name Fursan al-Joulan, a rebel group which had
previously been accused of being in league with the Israeli military.
This is particularly noteworthy because this was one of few rebel
groups which refused the Russian evacuation deal in southern Syria.
The report says all arming of the groups ended in July with the
defeat of the last rebels in the area.

Even
more interesting is that the Israeli military initially told
Jerusalem Post this, and then forced
the article to be taken down under
military censorship rules. The Israeli military is legally empowered
to censor the press, though it’s rare for the article to get
published then taken down, as usually Israeli media outlets don’t
start covering censored stories until international outlets break
them first.

confirms: Israel provided light-weapons to Syrian rebels

The
Israeli army has admitted, for the first time, that it provided large
amounts of cash, weapons and ammunition to Syrian rebels in the Golan
Heights.

While
the IDF maintains that it was not intervening in Syria’s civil war,
on Monday it confirmed that as part of Operation Good Neighbor Israel
had been regularly supplying Syrian rebels near its border with light
weapons and ammunition in order to defend themselves from attacks and
a substantial amount of cash to buy additional arms.

Through
Operation Good Neighbor, which was launched in 2016 the Israeli
military had provided over 1524 tons of food, 250 tons of clothes,
947,520 liters of fuel, 21 generators, 24,900 palettes of medical
equipment and medicine.

Reports
first surfaced of Israel providing arms and cash to rebel groups
several years ago, with the regime of Bashar Assad claiming that
Israel had been providing arms to terror groups and its forces had
regularly seized arms and munitions with inscriptions in Hebrew.

According
to reports Israel had been arming at least seven different rebel
groups in Syria’s Golan Heights, including the Fursan al-Joulan
rebel group which had around 400 fighters and had been given an
estimated $5,000 per month by Israel.

“Israel
stood by our side in a heroic way,” the group’s spokesperson,
Moatasem al-Golani, told the The
Wall Street Journal in
a January 2017 report.  “We wouldn’t have survived without
Israel’s assistance.”

The
army believes that the decision to provide weapons and cash to the
rebel groups along the border with Israel’s Golan Heights was the
right decision.

Israel’s
aim in providing the weapons and cash to rebel groups throughout
Operation Good Neighbor which shut down once the Assad regime retook
control of the Golan Heights in July, was to keep troops belonging to
Hezbollah and Iran away from Israel’s Golan Heights.

The
Syrian army, backed by Russian air power and Iranian backed Shiite
militia fighters, have been recapturing large swathes of territory
and is now believed to have control over 70% of the war-torn country.

While
Syrian troops have once again been deployed to the border with
Israel, in order to prevent an escalation between the two enemy
countries, Russian military police have been deployed along the Golan
Heights border along with UN Peacekeepers.

Israel
has warned against Iran’s entrenchment in Syria and has stressed
time and again that Syrian soil can not serve as a forward operating
base by Iran and that the war-torn country cannot be a waystation for
arms smuggling to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

While
Israel’s military had been carrying out operation against Iranian
targets in Syria for several years, it’s extent only became public
after an Israeli Air Force F-16 which was taking part in retaliatory
strikes was downed by Syrian air defenses in February.

Last
year Former Israel Air Force head Maj.-Gen. (res.) Amir Eshel stated
that the IAF carried out 100 airstrikes in Syria over the past five
years.

On
Monday the military announced that in the past year and half alone,
Israel has carried out 202 strikes against Iranian and Hezbollah
targets in Syria.

Er waren destijds meer dan 15 miljoen stemgerechtigden, echter een deel van de Syriërs was gevlucht voor de terreur die ‘gematigde rebellen’ uitoefenden bij het innemen van hun dorpen en steden, waarna een fiks aantal de vlucht nam terwijl ze onder deze (sharia) terreur leefden……
