Rond 9.16 u. vanmorgen op BNR het bericht dat Iran van zins zou zijn Lana Marks, de VS ambassadeur voor Zuid-Afrika, te vermoorden als vergelding voor de moord op de Iraanse generaal Qassem Soleimani…… E.e.a. zou berusten op rapporten van geheime diensten in de VS, waar de CIA ‘met naam’ wordt genoemd, dit volgens een VS ambtenaar die de zaak kent en iemand die het rapport zou hebben gezien…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, bijzonder geloofwaardig allemaal, zeker als je nagaat dat de geheime diensten van de VS vooral goed zijn in het maken van leugens over- en verdachtmakingen tegen landen die de VS niet welgevallig zijn…..
Volgens Politico die het bericht bracht was de VS al op de hoogte van het gevaar voor de ambassadeur, echter de laatste weken zou men wat specifiekere leugens hebben gebracht, nu zegt men ronduit, zonder dat iemand ook maar enig bewijs heeft gezien voor deze meer dan belachelijke beschuldiging, dat de Iraanse ambassade in Pretoria (Zuid-Afrika) deel zou nemen aan dit complot (beter: aan deze complottheorie….)…..
(Zelfs voor foto’s zoekt men in het westen het liefst foto’s van de vermoorde Iraanse generaal Soleimani, waarop hij boos kijkt….)
Waarom zou Iran in godsnaam zo dom zijn om iets dergelijks te ondernemen, zeker naar steeds duidelijke wordt dat steeds meer soennitisch arabische landen zich onder aanvoering van Israël verenigen tegen de sjiitische islamgelovigen en dan m.n.tegen het sjiitische Iran (en Jemen, waar Saoedi-Arabië, een aantal andere arabische landen als de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten [VAE], Egypte en Marokko met hulp van de VS en Groot-Brittannië, een genocide uitvoeren op de sjiitische bevolking in Jemen…..)
Om deze nieuwe verdachtmaking tegen Iran kracht bij te zetten heeft Politico alle leugens over Iran uit de met poep bedekte wc getrokken, waarna je als argeloze lezer maar één ding kan concluderen (althans als het telraam in het hoofd beperkt is): Iran is een duivelse staat die de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten keer op keer doet wankelen….. Terwijl de werkelijkheid laat zien dat de VS daar verantwoordelijk voor is, de VS dat met hulp van haar oorlogshond NAVO sinds 2001 in Afghanistan, het Midden-Oosten en Afrikaanse landen als Libië, Somalië, Soedan en Eritrea*, meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord….. Een zaak waarmee de westerse reguliere media en politiek geen moeite hebben, deze media en politiek herhalen alle leugens over Iran als was het het woord van god……. ‘Geen moeite mee hebben?’ Ze werken er zelfs aan mee…….
Intussen zijn er een flink aantal moslimlanden die geen probleem meer hebben met deze westerse terreur (en dat is het: grootschalige VS terreur uitgeoefend in illegale oorlogen, geheime militaire acties (o.l.v. de CIA) en drone aanvallen, niets anders dan moorden op verdachten waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht……)…. Zoals deze landen ook geen probleem meer hebben met de voortgaande massaslachtingen onder Palestijnen door Israël……. (Israël, ook al zo’n ‘stabiliserende factor in het Midden-Oosten….’) Israël is na de VS dan ook de grootste spin het het web die Iran het liefst letterlijk een kop kleiner zou willen maken met kernraketten)
Het is duidelijk dat men de stok al bijna gevonden heeft om Iran mee te slaan, ofwel om de aanval op dat land te openen……

Ongelofelijk
maar waar: Israël voert met grote regelmaat aanvallen uit op doelen
in Syrië, waarbij keer op keer meerdere mensen worden vermoord in
bombardementen, echter het niveau van de aandacht van de westerse reguliere media is
nul komma nada, dus vraag maar niet wat dit betkent voor de westerse politici…..
In
Israël hoeft maar één dode te vallen, of zelfs maar één of meer
gewonden door een aanval van een wanhopige Palestijn en de westerse
media melden het, waarbij men spreekt over Palestijnse agressie,
zonder naar de levensomstandigheden van de Palestijnen op de West
Bank of in de Gazastrook te kijken, worden dergelijke aanvallen
veroordeeld…… Het is als met de ‘Great Return March’
protesten die van 30 maart 2018 voortduurden tot december 2019 waarbij ongewapende Palestijnen
aan de Gazastrook-kant van de grens met Israël werden vermoord door
Israëlische scherpschutters (ofwel deze mensen werden over de grens heen op ‘Palestijnsgebied’ vermoord….), Palestijnse mensen waaronder
kinderen, medisch hulpverleners en journalisten…….
De
westerse media berichtten in het begin nog wel over de demonstraties voor de Israelische grens, zij
het veelal positief gekleurd voor Israël, echter naarmate de protesten
langer duurden, verdween de belangstelling steeds verder, zelfs als bleek
dat er weer kinderen, medisch hulpverleners en journalisten werden
vermoord door die scherpschutters…… Totdat er vliegers en
ballonnen met brandbaar materiaal door Palestijnen werden opgelaten, ballonnen
die bij gunstige wind over de grens gingen (en gaan), in de hoop dat ze aan de Israëlische kant bij neerkomen iets in de fik zouden steken…..
Hoe duidelijk wil je het hebben dat deze mensen ten einde raad zijn??? Ja, toen dat gebeurde, balonnen over de grens Israël in, was daar onmiddellijk belangstelling voor in
de westerse reguliere media en werd deze wanhoopsdaad bijkans vergeleken als gedaan met al het moderne oorlogstuig dat de Israeliers terzijde stond en staat* en werd het veroordeeld als terreur….. (terwijl Israël de grootste terreurstaat is in het Middden-oosten, oh nee dat is haar vriend Saoedi-Arabie dat een genocide uitvoert in Jemen……)
Ach ik
hoef niet eens zo lang terug al wekenlang bombardeert Israël de
Gazastrooken en de aandacht in westerse media is om te janken zo afwezig…… De mediaorganen die erover berichtten kwamen
onmiddellijk met een excuus voor Israël: de bombardementen waren te
danken aan het oplaten van ballonnen met brandbaar materiaal…..
Niets over de uitzichtloze situatie in de Gazastrook waar de
werkloosheid cijfers haalt die je maar zelden tegenkomt in andere
landen over de wereld en dat in een getto dat is te vergelijken met dat van Warschau tijdens WOII, ofwel de Gazaanse Palestijnen
zitten vast in een enorme openluchtgevangenis…… Ondanks de hitte een paar uur per dag elektriciteit, water
moet meestal aangevoerd worden met tankwagens, daar Israel de bronnen
heeft vernield en als het Netanyahu, de Palestijnenslachter schikt gaan
de grensovergangen dicht en komt er niets meer binnen in de
Gazastrook……..
Ik weet niet wat jij
in zo’n situatie zou doen, zeker als je jong zou zijn of een gezin
zou hebben, maar ik zou het wel weten…….. En dan te bedenken dat deze jongeren ook de slachtingen hebben gezien die werden aangericht door psychopathische Israëlische scherpschutters: die zoals gezegd op ongewapende mensen schoten die zich bevonden aan de Palestijnse kant van de grens……. Die combinatie van feiten is al helemaal om hopeloos van de worden….
Het is
ronduit meer dan schandalig dat de westerse wereld Israël laat tekeergaan als een fascistische terreurstaat die al jaren met een
etnische zuivering bezig is en daarbij ongelofelijk veel mensen heeft
vermoord en vermoordt……Men heeft een grote bek over Venezuela terwijl die situatie daar is veroorzaakt door… het westen zelf >> illegale terreur-sancties die de economie van Venezuela hebben lamgelegd….. Dit terwijl de situatie daar, zelfs als je de leugens van het westen (de VS, Canada en de EU) zou geloven, niet in de schaduw kan staan van het geweld dat Israel heeft uitgeoefend en uiteofent op de Palestijnen en dat al dik meer dan 70 jaar lang!!!
Ook de
schending van het Libanese luchtruim door Israël en dat al een
paar decennia lang, interesseert de westerse media en politiek geen
zier, iets dergelijks zouden Syrië of Libanon omgekeerd moeten doen tegen Israël,
op zeker dat de westerse wereld op de kop zou staan……
Nogmaals: onbegrijpelijk dat westerse politici en media kunnen doorgaan met het
wegkijken van de Israëlische bloedige vervolging van het zo verdrukte Palestijnse volk, lullig genoeg zonder dat de eigen bevolking hen ter verantwoording
roept……. Zelfs door met Nederlands (of EU) belastinggeld betaalde projecten voor de Palestijnen
die door Israël keer op keer worden vernield, doen amper wenkbrauwen
fronsen bij de Nederlandse en de rest van westerse politiek, terwijl de reguliere westerse media er amper of
geen aandacht aan besteden…..
En dan wil ik op deze plek nogmaals het volgende herhalen: het is meer dan schandelijk dat de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) als Saoedi-Arabie en Egypte vriendschapsbanden hebben aangebonden met de reli-fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël!! Schunnig, inhumaan en harteloos!!! Hiermee is nog eens bevestigd dat de genoemde landen allen worden geregeerd door dictators en waar je in het beste geval onder die landen (waar nog enigszins mensenrechten worden gerespecteerd) kan spreken van een verlichte politiestaat…….

“Information

– They are the most boring and low-priority reports of all.
Most Israeli media outlets don’t even bother to post them. They are
like a bus plunging into a river in Nepal, like victims in Chad’s
civil war or trapped mine workers in Siberia.
The same applies to
the victims of yet another Israeli air strike in Syria.
Who’s heard about it? Who knows about it, who cares? Who has the
energy to look into it? Military correspondents parrot, as is their
wont, unfounded statements dictated by military spokesmen, with
diplomatic correspondents celebrating in the Emirates, while on
Monday night 11
more people are killed in a raid in southern Syria, attributed to
Israel. On Wed night, Syria
reported another strike.
According to the
Damascus Center for Human Rights, three of the victims were Syrian
soldiers and seven were “Iranian militia operatives,” which
automatically justifies any bombing. A female villager was also
killed and her husband wounded, but these things happen, after all. A
dead woman in Syria really is a non-story.
Are these air strikes
essential? What is their goal? What are the risks they entail? What
is being bombed and why? It’s Iran,
you know. Everything is done under a thick smokescreen, with Israeli
media openly and gleefully collaborating, with no one stopping to ask
questions or bringing it up for discussion. The sun rises in the
east, and Israel bombs in Syria. What is not clear here? What is not
self-evident? Only those who understand nothing or know nothing dare
ask questions.
The army spokesman, in
response to the strike: “The IDF is working day and night to ensure
that its strategic goals in the northern arena are met in an
appropriate fashion.” We seem to be satisfied with this blah-blah.
It’s hard to think of a greater insult to one’s intelligence.
After all, the IDF
is also working day and night in the West Bank, where we’re
familiar with the results and with the modus operandi, but the media
and public opinion will swallow anything. As long as not one hair of
a Jewish soldier’s head is touched, nothing is of interest. Go
ahead, bomb Syria, bomb Lebanon, bomb Iran, bomb Gaza, to your
heart’s content.
Every few weeks there
is an air strike in Syria, usually with lethal results. On July 20, five
deaths were reported in a strike in Damascus. On June 23, five
Iranians and two Syrians were killed in an attack attributed to
Israel. On June 4, there were nine victims in a bombing by warplanes
firing from Lebanese airspace, attributed to Israel, not to
Luxembourg. On February 7, the Russian Defense Ministry announced
that an IDF attack in Damascus had endangered a passenger plane with
172 people on board. Three months earlier, there were reports of 23
fatalities and dozens of wounded in an air strike attributed to
Israel.
Only imagine 11
Israeli fatalities, three soldiers and seven settler militia members,
in a Syrian air strike, in a mirror image of what transpired this
week in Syria. War would ensue.
But 11 Syrian dead in an Israeli
bombing, who’s counting? Imagine a constant bloodletting with
dozens of Israeli fatalities over several months. Israel would never
put up with it, and rightly so. But in Syria it’s all right. It
will go on as long as Israel can continue. It will go on until Israel
pays a price for its strikes.
Israel is determined
to prevent Iran from getting a foothold in Syria. Are the strikes
contributing to this process? To what extent? The possibility that
Israel will one day pay a terrible price for all this warmongering is
not even raised for discussion. That’s Israeli hubris, which
usually pays off. Usually, but not always.
Such fateful decisions
cannot be kept in absolute darkness. They cannot be left up to a
handful of politicians, intelligence officials, pilots and generals.
After all, we’ve learned in many areas that we can’t trust them
blindly. So why is it that when it comes to war and peace, we shut
our eyes, submitting ourselves to them in total blindness? Continue
bombing in Syria. We trust you. Everything will be fine.
* Israël gebruikt ook zoveel mogelijk nieuwe militairewapens en munitie, zo kan men deze op wapenbeurzen presenteren als in de praktijk getest (op mensen…….)
De
Democratische Conventie heeft eens te meer duidelijk gemaakt dat met
een Democraat in het Witte Huis de kans op een verlichting van de
ongebreidelde VS terreur in diverse buitenlanden geen sprake zal zijn….. Vorige week
dinsdagavond werd in de VS een van te voren opgenomen video
uitgezonden, waarin een groep van 7 militaire, geheime dienst en
diplomatieke beambten werden getoond, deze figuren stelden dat de
Trump administratie niet agressief genoeg optreedt in het
Midden-Oosten*, en tegen Rusland, China, Iran en Venezuela……
Ongelofelijk
dat ook Colin Powell deel uitmaakte van de 7, dat deze vreselijke
oorlogsmisdadiger zijn mond nog open durft te doen is een gotspe!! De
schoft stelde dat niemand zal durven opstaan tegen Biden daar ze
zullen weten wat ‘business’ is onder Biden, je weet wel dezelfde
‘business’ die met de leugens van Powell werd losgelaten op Irak en
die daar intussen aan meer dan 2 miljoen mensen het leven heeft gekost, ofwel mensen die zijn vermoord door de VS en haar hielenlikkende NAVO partners
als Nederland…….
Zoals al
zo vaak gesteld (ook op deze plek) met Biden als president zal de
wereld er bepaald niet vreedzamer op worden en dat is een
beangstigend feit!! (vooral beangstigend voor de bevolkingen van
landen die zich weigeren te schikken naar de VS hegemonie…..)

Biden campaign and the attempt to “rescue” American hegemony

– Over the past week, the American public was subjected to an
eight-hour infomercial, officially termed by the Democratic Party a
“convention,” in which the long-time political reactionary Joe
Biden was packaged simultaneously as the great American everyman and
a miracle cure for America’s problems.
Amid celebrity cameos,
empty platitudes, and unconvincing “personal” anecdotes, the vast
majority of this week’s telethon was devoid of any actual
discussion of program and policies. Behind the hoopla, however, there
are significant conflicts within the ruling class, centered primarily
on issues of foreign policy.
These conflicts were
partially revealed on Tuesday night, when the convention aired a
pre-recorded segment featuring a group of seven military,
intelligence and diplomatic officials who claimed that the Trump
administration was not fighting the US wars in the Middle East and
pursuing its conflicts with Russia and China aggressively enough.
Commenting on Trump’s
Middle East policy, Brett McGurk, in charge of the US operations in
the Middle East under Obama, said, “Our military had a policy to
maintain our presence in Syria,” which Trump went on to “abandon.”
He concluded, “It’s shameful.”
Rose Gottemoeller,
former Deputy Secretary General of NATO, concluded that Trump “hasn’t
been standing up” to Russia and China “at all.” Another State
Department official added, “Thanks to Donald Trump, our adversaries
are stronger, and bolder.”
Following the segment,
General Colin Powell added that Biden “will make it his job to know
when anyone dares to threaten us, he will stand up to our adversaries
with strength and experience. They will know he means business.”
The “business” for which Powell is best known is the destruction
of Iraq and the death of one million of its inhabitants, based on
false claims about “weapons of mass destruction.”
These themes were
expanded upon in a letter published Friday by a group of 72
high-level intelligence and military officials—and war
criminals—headed by former CIA and NSA director Michael Hayden,
declaring their support for Biden.
The first of the
letter’s ten bullet points states that Trump “has called NATO
‘obsolete,’ branded Europe a ‘foe,’ mocked the leaders of
America’s closest friends, and threatened to terminate longstanding
US alliances.” As a result, the letter concludes, “ Donald Trump
has gravely damaged America’s role as a world leader.”
In other words, the
present administration has undermined the fundamental geostrategic
aims that have led the United States into three decades of war: The
effort to control the Eurasian landmass, including the Middle East.
In the four years
since Trump became the Republican nominee, a ferocious conflict has
been raging within the ruling class, centered on differences over
foreign policy, and in particular the “hot war” being waged
between the Ukrainian government and pro-Russian forces in its
Eastern regions after the US-backed coup in 2014.
Instead of focusing on
the conflict with Russia that has been the preeminent concern of much
of the foreign policy establishment, the Trump administration has
been preoccupied with stunting the economic growth of China while
building up US military capabilities to fight a war in the Pacific.
But here, too, the
military and intelligence figures aligned with the Biden campaign
feel that the White House has been ineffective. As two of the
letter’s signatories wrote in an article in Foreign
Policy
magazine, “Trump has confronted China by starting trade wars with
everyone else” rather than involving other imperialist states.
“Major democratic powers including Japan, France, and Canada are
desperate to work with the United States to blunt China’s predatory
technology policies.”
From the standpoint of
the ruling class, it is primarily these differences over foreign
policy, not domestic policy, that are being fought out in the
election. Facing the greatest social and economic crisis since the
Great Depression, domestic policy has been conducted on a largely
bipartisan basis. The CARES Act, which sanctioned the
multi-trillion-dollar bailout of Wall Street while starving testing
and contact tracing, passed unanimously in the Senate and by an
unrecorded voice vote in the House.
The latest issue of Foreign
Affairs,
one of the main journals of US geopolitics, lays out some of the
concerns of the dominant factions of the state. “After nearly four
years of turbulence,” the lead editorial states, “the country’s
enemies are stronger, its friends are weaker, and the United States
itself is increasingly isolated and prostrate.”
Its concern is that
Trump has proven an unreliable steward of the interests of the ruling
class abroad. “Dragging his party and the executive branch along,
the president has reshaped national policy in his own image: focused
on short-term advantage, obsessed with money, and uninterested in
everything else.”
The magazine’s lead
story declares that Trump’s unstable and erratic foreign policy has
resulted in a situation in which “China is wealthier and stronger,
North Korea has more nuclear weapons and better missiles… and
Nicolás Maduro is more entrenched in Venezuela, as is Bashar
al-Assad in Syria.”
From the standpoint of
the Biden campaign, the solution to all of these crises is to
reassert American dominance and “leadership” over its traditional
allies in Europe and Japan in order to pursue a more aggressive US
policy against Russia and China. The United States must again be the
world hegemon.
The central focus of
the new administration will be “reclaiming America’s place in the
world” through the reassertion of “American exceptionalism,”
stated Joe Biden adviser Jake Sullivan in the Atlantic
.
Earlier this year,
Biden published an article entitled “Rescuing U.S. Foreign Policy
After Trump” in the March/April issue of Foreign
Affairs.
In that article, he declares, that “to counter Russian aggression,
we must keep the alliance’s military capabilities sharp.” At the
same time, the United States needs to “get tough with China.” The
“most effective way to meet that challenge is to build a united
front of U.S. allies and partners to confront China.”
But while the latest
issue of Foreign
Affairs
may be titled “The World Trump Made,” the geopolitical debacle
facing the United States did not spring from Trump’s head. Trump
did not make the “world.” Rather, the “world”—and,
specifically, the crisis of American imperialism—made Trump.
The decline in the
hegemonic position of the United States extends over a period of
decades and was already evident prior to the collapse of the Soviet
Union in 1990-91. The dissolution of American imperialism’s Cold
War adversary was seized on by the strategists of the American ruling
class to declare a “unipolar moment.” The United States could
utilize its unrivaled military power to counter its declining
economic position through force.
The endless series of
wars launched by the United States over the past three decades have
destroyed entire societies—in Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Libya,
Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen, among others. But they have failed to
reverse US imperialism’s fortunes. Moreover, they have profoundly
distorted and brutalized American society itself: a process of which
the fascistic Trump administration is an expression.
Even prior to Trump’s
inauguration, there were growing tensions between the US and its
erstwhile allies in Europe. The coronavirus pandemic and the
disastrous response of the ruling class to it—a policy that has
been bipartisan—has further eroded the global position of American
capitalism.
American imperialism
confronts intractable problems, and first among them is the growth of
social opposition within the United States itself. Among the
considerations motivating support for the Biden campaign within the
ruling class is the hope that it can somehow establish a broader base
for imperialist aggression abroad. The promotion of identity politics
is aimed at further integrating privileged sections of the upper
middle class behind the project of global domination. This is what
Kamala Harris represents.
A Biden/Harris
administration will not inaugurate a new dawn of American hegemony.
Rather, the attempt to assert this hegemony will be through
unprecedented violence. If it is brought to power—with the support
of the assemblage of reactionaries responsible for the worst crimes
of the 21st century—it will be committed to a vast expansion of
war. Trump and Pompeo are barreling headlong toward a conflict with
China. Biden’s critique of this disastrous course is that the
United States needs to get “tough,” whether against Russia,
China, Afghanistan, Syria, or everywhere in between.
The American ruling
class, moreover, confronts in the growth of the class struggle the
most serious threat to its geopolitical ambitions.
Whichever course is
ultimately determined by the election, US imperialism has, as the World
Socialist Web Site
warned in the run-up to the Iraq war, a “rendezvous with disaster.”
All factions of the US state are united on a course of action that
will lead to the deaths of countless millions. The struggle against
war will not go forward through the selection of either Trump or
Biden, but through the independent struggle of the working class.

Johnstone heeft in een kort en bondig artikel uitgelegd, dat ‘the
lesser of two evils’ (de minste van twee kwaden) een niet
bestaand concept is als het gaat om de presidentsverkiezingen van a.s. november in de VS, immers of een land nu wordt aangevallen door
een Republikeinse of Democratische administratie, maakt geen verschil

mensenrechten wordt vaak als argument aangevoerd om een land aan te vallen, terwijl de VS de grootste schenders van mensenrechten steunt, zoals Saoedi-Arabië en Israël….. In alle gevallen blijven VS bommen en raketten dood en

Overigens bleek tijdens de Democratische Conventie van vorige week dat Biden een veel agressievere buitenlandpolitiek voorstaat dan de Trump administratie heeft laten zien, doelen o.a. het Midden-Oosten, Rusland en China (en reken maar dat Biden onder het Midden-Oosten ook Iran rekent……) Kortom het feit dat de VS in feite het Vierde Rijks is en daarmee de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, zal niet veranderen met oorlogsmisdadiger Biden…… In een later bericht zal ik wat verder ingaan op die Democratische conventie.

you see two separate mainstream political parties, it looks like one

Biden als Gandalf de Witte….* ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Biden is minstens zo’n grote oorlogsmisdadiger als Trump….. Biden die bovendien heeft beloofd dat hij als president een oorlog tegen Venezuela zal beginnen om Maduro af te zetten…… Dezelfde Biden die al heeft beloofd Iran militair aan te zullen pakken…… Biden die tevens beloofde Noord-Korea tot de (militaire) orde te zullen roepen……
Kortom als Biden aan het bewind komt zal de grote onderlaag in de VS financieel nog harder worden getroffen, immers oorlogsvoering is een uiterst kostbare zaak en gezien de penibele financiële positie van de VS, zullen de kosten daarvoor zoals gewoonlijk worden afgewenteld op die onderlaag….. Overigens is Biden ook een ‘gewone misdadiger’ zo gaf hij toe als minister van buitenlandse zaken (onder oorlogsmisdadiger en Nobelprijs voor de Vrede winnaar Obama) Oekraïne onder druk te hebben gezet de openbaar aanklager te ontslaan….. De aanklager die zijn zoon Hunter Biden voor meerdere aantoonbare misdaden vervolgde, zoals witwassen van geld, dit door te dreigen toegezegde militaire hulp achter te houden……
Kortom Biden doet niet onder voor Trump als het gaat om liegen, chantage, volksverlakkerij en oorlogsvoering (oh nee, dom van mij, immers Biden heeft heel wat meer oorlogsplannen dan Trump ooit had…….)

Gewelddadige
aanvallen, inclusief enorme explosies in Iran en dat op regelmatige basis, geven aan dat hier sprake is van een georganiseerd plan om

intussen houdt Israël zich bezig met een enorm aantal illegale
aanvallen op landen als Irak, Syrië en nu dus ook Iran….. (alles illegaal via het luchtruim van Libanon……) Het is dan ook duidelijk dat de VS en Israël hier een stiekeme illegale ooorlog voeren tegen een soeverein land…….
Al
wat misgaat in het Midden-Oosten als gevolg van de illegale
overheersing van dat gebied door de grootste terreurentiteit op onze
kleine planeet de: VS, wordt in de schoenen van Iran geschoven……
Neem alleen al de genocide die nu al een aantal jaren gaande is in
Jemen, verantwoordelijke daarvoor is de Saoedische terreurcoalitie,
met intussen meer dan 500.000 slachtoffers, een aantal dat met de dag
stijgt (zeker nu ook het Coronavirus huishoudt in dit land met zo
enorm veel verzwakte mensen…..) Ondanks alle bewijzen van deze door het westen gesteunde genocice, blijft het westen met de VS voorop naar Iran wijzen, zonder ook maar een flinter aan bewijs te leveren…… Dit terwijl de VS en Groot-Brittannië deze genocide ook militair steunen…….
Naast het feit dat de VS en GB deelnemers zijn van die
Saoedische terreurcoalitie, steunen de andere westerse landen met Frankrijk voorop deze
terreurcoalitie met wapens in de breedste zin van het woord,
dus inclusief rollend, varen en vliegend oorlogstuig, verder worden
wapenonderdelen geleverd door o.a. Nederland, ook al is het
internationaal verboden om landen als het reli-fascistische
Saoedi-Arabië met wapens te steunen, juist door haar illegale oorlog die het
tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen voert…… (nogmaals: een
oorlog die als genocide wordt uitgevoerd, het kan niet vaak ngenoeg gezegd worden)
Maar zoals gezegd: als je de westerse reguliere media moet geloven is daar vooral Iran
de schuldige, terwijl men dit land alleen met bewijzen ‘kan aanklagen’,
die aangeven dat die hulp van humanitaire aard was……..
Onbegrijpelijk dat de reguliere westerse (massa-) media niet uitvoerig berichten over de gehieme illegale oorlog tegen Iran, immers als de vlam echt in de pan slaat staan die media ongelofelijk voor paal (al zal men dan ongetwijfeld spreken over de ‘plotselinge Iraanse agressie’, uiteraard zonder de eerdere geheime oorlog en sancties tegen het Iraanse volk te noemen…..).

“Information
Clearing House”
– A series of violent attacks, involving explosions and fires, has
been hitting
Iran. The incidents have been too frequent and intense to be random
accidents. They are part of an organized effort.
Caution is always
advisable in attributing responsibility for such unclaimed acts,
especially for all of us outside the government channels that
possibly have better information about what is going on. But
circumstances point strongly, as some mainstream press reporting
reflects, to either or both of two suspects: the Netanyahu government
in Israel, and the Trump administration in the United States.
Both of those suspects
have track records that point that same way. The most conspicuous
relevant act by the Trump administration was its assassination in
January, with a drone-fired missile at the Baghdad airport, of Qassem
Soleimani, one of the most prominent political and military figures
in Iran. The Israeli record of aggressive acts against Iran has
included a series of assassinations
of Iranian nuclear scientists. Those murders were part of a
larger, longstanding Israeli campaign
of assassinations throughout the Middle East. That campaign is in
turn part of an even larger Israeli record of acts throughout the
region — including, over the past couple of years, scores of aerial attacks
in Syria.
Neither the Israeli
government nor the Trump administration has formally declared war
against Iran, but the rhetoric of each has stopped only slightly
short of such a declaration.
The Trump administration has made clear
its intention to inflict as much pain as possible on Iran, including
but not limited to economic sanctions. The Netanyahu government’s
voluminous rhetoric on Iran has been every bit as hostile as what has
come out of Washington, or as what has come in the opposite direction
from Tehran.
Make no mistake about
what is going on. This is not a set of actions “short of war,” as
some would put it. It is war. We certainly should worry about
escalation of the conflict into something so big that everyone would
call it war. But that does not make what already has transpired
anything less than acts of war.
In this regard, do not
be deceived by the Iranian regime’s downplaying of the recent
attacks and its restraint — so far — regarding retaliation. A
date circled on Iranian policymakers’ calendars is January 20,
2021. The Iranians can read American polls, and the dominant thread
at the moment in Iranian thinking about security policy is to tough
it out until there is regime change in Washington. Iranian leaders
don’t want to be suckered into the sort of October — or July —
surprise that would generate a rally-round-the-flag effect in America
and could rescue Donald Trump’s fading re-election chances,
although they realize the restraint does risk making them appear
weak.
No
justification for the war
Although the current
war has not been formally declared, it ought to be assessed by the
same standards as one that has. Per international law and the United
Nations Charter, war would be justified only in self-defense, as a
response to, or possibly pre-emption of, an attack in the other
direction. That is not the current circumstance with Iran.
There is no sign that Iran is about to attack either Israel or the
United States. Given that Iran would be hopelessly outclassed
militarily against either of those foes, it would be foolish for
Iranian leaders to contemplate such an attack.
Nor does self-defense
come into play when considering proxies or other asymmetric means
through which Iran might want to impose its will. A salient aspect of
the large amount of ordnance that Israel has been flying across the
border and dropping on targets in Syria — many of those targets
reportedly connected to Syria’s ally Iran — is how there has been
almost no ordnance crossing the border in the other direction, other
than an odd air defense missile or two.
The weakness of any
U.S. case based on self-defense was underscored by the confused
official justifications for the killing of Soleimani. Hints dropped
publicly about pre-empting a supposedly imminent Iranian attack never
led to any evidence to that effect. In the end, the U.S.
administration’s rationale rested mainly on Soleimani’s past role
in supporting Iraqi militia operations that incurred American
casualties during fighting in Iraq. That fighting was a direct result
of an offensive war — an act of aggression — that the United
States launched in 2003.
Iran’s nuclear
program has been a focus of attention in recent years, and one of the
most publicized of the recent attacks on Iran was at the nuclear
facility at Natanz. But the multilateral agreement known as the Joint
Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) , which placed severe restrictions on the
Iranian program, did a far better job of keeping a possible Iranian
nuclear weapon out of reach than anything the Trump administration
has done since reneging on the agreement two years ago, after which
Iran accelerated its nuclear activity.
As Mark Fitzpatrick of the
International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) observes,
the JCPOA did a better job in that regard than attacks such as the
one on Natanz.
The attacks also do
nothing to deter aggressive or otherwise undesirable Iranian
actions. Deterrence requires conditionality: pain is inflicted
after bad behavior and avoided after good behavior. But the U.S. and
Israeli governments seem determined to inflict pain no matter what
Iran does — as underscored by the Trump administration’s reneging
on the JCPOA and launching its “maximum pressure” campaign even
though Iran was fully complying with its obligations under the
agreement. Iran is being given an incentive only to retaliate, not to
behave well.
Eventual retaliation,
despite Tehran’s relative restraint so far, is one of the risks of
the current undeclared war. Escalation into something bigger and more
destructive is another risk. Even without such escalation, the
current campaign extends indefinitely one of the fronts in America’s
“forever war” in the Middle East.
Nor is any good coming
out of the attacks in terms of weakening Iran or shifting a regional
balance of power in America’s favor. Instead, it strengthens Iran’s
reasons to find support from — and in so doing foster the influence
of — the likes of Russia and China.
Israeli
objectives
To the extent the
Trump administration is condoning, turning a blind eye toward, or
even colluding with Israeli attacks on Iran, this is bad news for
U.S. interests. U.S. interests are different from those of Israel,
and even more different from those of the current Netanyahu-led
government.
That government has an
interest in perpetuating high tension with Iran to keep Iran as a
bête noire blamable for all the ills of the Middle East, to preclude
any rapprochement between Washington and Tehran, to promote Israeli
relations with the Gulf Arab states, and to distract attention from
issues that bring international scrutiny and criticism on Israel. At
the moment, Netanyahu’s incentives in this regard are stronger than
ever, which may help to explain the timing of the recent wave of
attacks. The distraction value of stoking the conflict with Iran has
increased as Netanyahu contemplates formal annexation of parts of the
West Bank and the international condemnation that will come with it.
Netanyahu also, like
the Iranians, is aware of the U.S. electoral calendar and American
opinion polls. He may see the next few months as an optimal and
limited time for stirring the regional pot even more than Israel has
in the past, while his friend Donald Trump is still in power. To the
extent the stirring helps his friend’s re-election chances, so much
the better from his point of view.
Netanyahu is unlikely
to be worrying about escalation into a bigger war, which would serve
his purposes even more dramatically. Goading Iran into retaliating in
a way that would spark such a war may have been one of the objectives
of the recent attacks. And it would not be Netanyahu’s job to count
any ensuing American casualties.

Maragaret
Kimberley schreef haar Freedom Rider column op Black Agenda Report
(dat ik overnam van Information Clearinhg House) over dit onderwerp, waarin ze wijst op een interview van Noticias
Telemundo met Trump, dit n.a.v. een bezoek van Trump aan US Southern
Command (SOUTHCOM). In dat interview zei Trump o.a.: “Something
will happen with Venezuela. That’s all I can tell you. Something
will be happening with Venezuela.” Dat kan niet anders betekenen dan de VS is doende met de voorbereiding van een oorlog tegen Venezuela……
Daarvoor wijst Kimberley terecht op alle mislukte pogingen van de Trump administratie
om Maduro, de president van Venezuela,tot aftreden te dwingen o.a
door: -het aanstellen van een marionet die de werkelijke president
van Venezuela zou zijn, terwijl Maduro in door internationale
waarnemers als eerlijk beoordeelde verkiezingen het presidentschap
won, -sancties opgelegd aan het land die intussen aan meer dan 50.000
mensen het leven hebben gekost (het gaat hier om een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid en deze mensen zijn feite vermoord door de VS, Canada en de EU, daar de laatste 2 de sancties van de VS steunen), -een
door de CIA georganiseerde uiterst gewelddadige ‘opstand’ (inclusief het bewapenen van de
ultra-rechtse oppositie en huurmoordenaars van buiten Venezuela, wapens o.a. het land binnengesmokkeld tussen
‘humanitaire hulp’ van USAID), een opstand die snel doodbloedde daar
Maduro simpelweg een veel te grote aanhang heeft, -het beslag leggen
op tegoeden van Venezuela in de VS en Groot-Brittannië met een
totale waarde van 24 miljard dollar, o.a. tegoeden voor de aankoop
van medicijnen en medische apparatuur in de VS…. en uiteraard -met
een hele berg aan (bewezen) leugens over het bewind Maduro, met grote
graagte herhaald door de westerse reguliere media….
Hetzelfde
geldt voor Syrië, met een ongelofelijk aantal leugens werd en wordt
dit land zwart gemaakt door de Trump administratie en dat uiteraard
met de welwillende hulp van alweer de reguliere westerse media, die
weliswaar met veel tamtam berichten over de verzwaarde sancties van
de VS, maar er het zwijgen toedoen als het gaat om de ellende onder
het Syrische volk veroorzaakt door diezelfde sancties….. Nou niet
helemaal: immers als het gaat om de terreurgroepen die met hun
familie in Idlib zitten (voor het overgrote deel van buitenlandse
komaf, zoals uit Nederland), schreeuwen dezelfde media moord en brand
en stellen dat er een ramp dreigt als er niet snel humanitaire hulp
komt en dat het Syrische leger moet stoppen met haar aanvallen op
Idlib, aanvallen om deze provincie vrij te maken van de ongebreidelde
terreur van o.a. ISIS en Al Qaida (al-Nusra)……(terwijl er continu humanitaire hulp en wapens via de Turkse grens worden geleverd aan de terreurgroepen in Idlib….)
Laat
ik er verder het zwijgen toe doen, lees het schrijven van Kimberley
en geeft het door, de hoogste tijd dat de westerse bevolkingen uit
hun coma ontwaken waarin ze zijn gebracht door ‘politieagent’ (lees:
terreurentiteit) VS, door hun afzonderlijke regeringen en door de
media in handen van spuugrijke figuren, of clubs van deze figuren (die belang hebben bij het bewaren van de huidige inhumane en agressieve neoliberale ideologie, die wordt aangehangen door praktisch alle westerse landen…)…
Vergeet niet dat de VS bezig is met de voorbereiding van
niet alleen een oorlog tegen Venezuela, maar ook tegen China…… De
woorden van Trump over dat laatste land laten niets aan de verbeelding
over….. Vergeet niet wat Kimeberley zegt over Russiagate en alle andere ‘gates’ waarover de reguliere westerse media zich druk maken, die in feite dienstdoen als een rookgordijn voor de ongebreidelde agressie van de VS….

– Donald Trump’s attacks on Venezuela, Syria and Iran are criminal,
but Joe Biden vows to be even worse.
“There is no
congressional opposition to Trump’s acts of aggression which are
literally killing people around the world.”
The corporate media in
this country can endlessly repeat lies about Russia paying Taliban
bounties, but ignore important information that is public and easily
provable. A recent example is President Donald Trump’s announcement
of some sort of an attack against Venezuela.
While visiting the
U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) in Florida, Trump gave an interview
to Noticias
Telemundo and
said the following, “Something will happen with Venezuela. That’s
all I can tell you. Something will be happening with Venezuela.”
The United States
chose a puppet president to replace the elected president Nicolas
Maduro, increased sanctions, attempted to send mercenaries to
destabilize the country, and charged Maduro and his wife with drug
trafficking. The U.S. puppet state known as the United Kingdom ruled
that it will keep more than $1 billion worth of Venezuelan gold
instead of turning it over to its rightful owners. The heist against
Venezuela totals $24 billion in stolen and frozen assets. The wall
that Trump said Mexico would pay for was actually paid for with ill
gotten gains from Venezuela.

Venezuela has been
under constant attack from the United States and its allies for years
with the Trump administration making the most blatant regime change
efforts. But the media who ordinarily pillory Trump are either silent
or support these attacks. Trump’s remarks should have made
headlines. The president of the United States once again declared
some sort of hostilities against Venezuela but his words garnered
hardly any attention.
Trump has placed the
United States on the precipice of war in a variety of ways. He has
withdrawn the U.S. from nuclear treaties with Russia that were
ratified decades ago. His war of words against China is not merely
rhetorical. Uttering slurs about the “Wuhan virus” and always
adding the word communist along with the word China are not just
stunts. Inciting violence in Hong Kong was part of a larger scheme to
weaken an economic and political rival.
The U.S. is waging war
by other means all over the world. The war against Syria is lost.
There will be no regime change there by military means, so Trump
resorts to stealing oil, burning wheat crops and increasing sanctions
that restrict access to food and medicine. Israel, the U.S. partner
in crime, bombs Iranian defense facilities in hopes that they can
finally see their war fantasy come to reality.

other means all over the world.”
But none of these
incidents receive sufficient coverage. If they are commented upon at
all, the news relies on the ubiquitous anonymous intelligence source,
or others who will parrot the official line. One must know where to
look to find decent analysis.
The new devastation
wrought upon Syria is either unreported
or celebrated by the corporate media. There has been no
critique of the policy, no one pointing out that a war crime is being
committed in the name of the American people. In fact, the Washington
Post applauded
the fact that the aptly named Caesar Act* has “helped crash the
Syrian currency.” They could have added that it helped increase
suffering too.
Shrieking about
Russiagate, Ukrainegate, Bountygate or any other gate that will be
cooked up is smoke and mirrors for the masses and propaganda for the
duopoly. There is no congressional opposition to Trump’s acts of
aggression which are literally killing people around the world.

being committed in the name of the American people.”
Sadly, neither these
policies nor the corporate media response will be different if Joe
Biden becomes president. Biden’s Venezuela policy is the
same as Trump’s. His attacks have in fact been further to the
right. When Trump expressed a willingness to talk to Maduro, he
backtracked after Biden condemned any effort to talk. “Trump talks
tough on Venezuela, but admires thugs and dictators like Nicolas
Maduro,” was Biden’s twitter rejoinder.
The end result of
these machinations is that Russia and China are closer than ever, as
both countries seek protection from U.S. imperialism. They try to
keep the U.S. and its puppet state allies from interfering in their
countries or destroying Syria or Iran or Venezuela and thereby making
themselves impotent. Iran and China recently reached an agreement
which will build Iran’s infrastructure and supply China with
discounted oil for the next 25 years. While the media here keep
Americans ignorant with ridiculous stories about Russian bounties,
the targeted nations work together for their own benefit.
Only people with the
interest and wherewithal to seek out independent media know how their
country threatens the world. After all, Trump issued a public threat
against Venezuela and it hardly registered as a blip on a screen.
When the U.S. goes too far and the world faces a hot war, ignorant
Americans will not know what hit them. They may babble about the
latest fake scandal or cry out “They hate us for our freedoms,”
but the rest of the world won’t care and ignorance will be no
defense.

Airbus
heeft overeenstemming bereikt met de Franse en Spaanse overheid de

Vergeet
niet dat de meeste vliegtuigbouwers in de VS tevens
militaire vliegtuigen, raketten en drones fabriceren, het gaat hier
om enorme kapitalen en ook dat kan je zien als een vorm van
overheidssteun, dit nog naast directe steun van dezelfde
overheid…..
Het Boeing 737 MAX 8 rampvliegtuig
Hoe kan vliegtuigbouwer Boeing overheidssteun ten
gevolge van de Coronacrisis weigeren, terwijl het bedrijf miljarden
heeft verloren met haar Boeing 737 Max 8 vliegtuigen? Simpel
daar het bedrijf eerder al met miljarden werd gesteund door de Trump
administratie……. Sterker nog: de Trump administratie kan het zich
niet veroorloven dat bedrijven als Boeing failliet gaan, juist
vanwege de productie van wapens als straaljagers, raketten en drones……

Lullig genoeg heeft ook de Wereldhandelsorganisatie (WTO) een fikse duit in de zak gedaan door de VS in haar gelijk te stellen, echter ook hier geldt dat men het in de broek doet voor VS agressie……. De WTO besloot dat de VS maar liefst 7,5 miljard aan strafheffingen mocht opleggen aan import uit de EU, wat de VS heeft gedaan o.a. met extra heffingen op Nederlandse kaas…..
De EU
heeft in de persoon van Eurocommissaris Phil Hogan n.a.v. het Airbus besluit van de VS
geëist haar sancties tegen een aantal producten uit de EU, zoals
Nederlandse kaas, met onmiddellijke ingang te stoppen….
Hoe is
het mogelijk dat de EU de VS laat wegkomen met chantage, terwijl dit
land jaarlijks ook nog eens eens enorme oorlogsmisdaden begaat, waar
de EU elke andere staat die iets dergelijks zou flikken sancties zou
opleggen……..
Het is
als met de Iran nucleaire deal (P5+1 nucleaire deal): de VS stapte uit en legde Iran enorme
sancties op, waarna de EU stelde Iran schadeloos te zullen stellen
voor die sancties, echter dat is nooit gebeurd en waarom niet? Puur
en alleen omdat men in de EU als de dood is voor VS sancties en daaruit voortvloeiende sancties tegen bedrijven uit de EU, een groot
aantal bedrijven die daardoor op de zwarte lijst van de VS
komen……. Daarbij loopt niet alleen de top van die bedrijven de
kans opgepakt te worden, mochten ze een voet op VS bodem zetten, dan
wel een land bezoeken dat goede relaties onderhoudt met de VS, maar
die daarnaast niet alleen opdrachten in/voor de VS kunnen vergeten, maar ook de opdrachten kunnen vergeten in dezelfde landen die
goede relaties onderhouden met de VS……
Nu
blijft de vraag hoe Airbus de rentebetalingen nu wel zou kunnen
betalen, immers ook dat bedrijf werd hard getroffen door de
Coronacrisis…….

Airbus
probeert handelsconflict tussen EU en VS te beslechten

PARIJS (AFN/AFP) – De Europese
vliegtuigbouwer Airbus is met een belangrijke geste gekomen om het
Amerikaans-Europese handelsconflict over het bedrijf te beslechten.
De fabrikant heeft met de Franse en Spaanse regering overeenstemming
bereikt over een verhoging van de rentetarieven op verstrekte
financiering voor de ontwikkeling van nieuwe vliegtuigen.
De Europese Unie en de Amerikaanse
regering liggen al jarenlang overhoop over deze subsidies. Vorig jaar
stelde de Wereldhandelsorganisatie (WTO) de Amerikanen in het gelijk
en gaf toestemming om op 7,5 miljard dollar aan Europese export
strafheffingen te mogen invoeren. De Verenigde Staten maakten gebruik
van die mogelijkheid en kwamen onder meer met heffingen op kazen uit
Nederland.
Brussel heeft na de stap van Airbus
direct van zich laten horen. Eurocommissaris Phil Hogan eiste vrijdag
dat de Amerikanen stoppen met hun sancties, omdat Airbus nu weer in
lijn zou handelen met de voorschriften van de WTO. “Ongegronde
tarieven voor Europese producten zijn niet acceptabel en als gevolg
van de naleving in de Airbus-zaak staan we erop dat de
Verenigde Staten deze ongerechtvaardigde tarieven onmiddellijk
opheffen”, aldus Hogan die bij de Europese Commissie gaat over
Handel.
Dat de
VS met vuur speelt als het gaat om wereldpolitiek zal niemand nog
verbazen, ook al doen de reguliere westerse media, politici en
rechtse denktanks nog zo hun best om de schuld daarvoor te leggen bij
de NB door de VS zelf als vijanden aangemerkte landen als Rusland,
Iran, China en Noord-Korea……
De VS
houdt al een paar jaar oorlogsschepen in de buurt van de Zuid-Chinese
zee, zo zou het nu weer een paar ‘supervliegdekschepen’ in de buurt
hebben en dat alles tegen ‘Chinese expansie’ (ha! ha! ha!
ha!). China heeft niet voor niets wat rotseilandjes in deze zee
geclaimd, zeker als je ziet dat de VS een groot aantal militaire
bases rond de oostkant van China heeft ingericht, inclusief in Zuid-Korea……* De VS stelt
dan ook zoals gezegd en volkomen hypocriet dat China expansie politiek bedrijft in de
Zuid-Chinese Zee, terwijl de VS zelfs op veel grotere afstanden
van de eigen territoriale wateren eilanden heeft geclaimd, zoals Hawaï (totaal belachelijk dat dit VS grondgebied is, dit is niets anders dan een smerig koloniaal overblijfsel!!).
Het is niet meer dan logisch dat China een groot deel van de Zuid-Chinese Zee claimt, al was het alleen al als buffer tegen de grote aanwezigheid van VS bases rond die zee en alle marine manoeuvres van de VS in die zee….
Hier
een afbeelding waarop een aantal militaire bases van de VS zijn te
zien, bases die ingezet kunnen worden in een oorlog tegen China en/of
Noord-Korea, in totaal zou het om meer dan 250 VS bases gaan (let op de basis onder het woord China, dit zou een basis in Vietnam moeten zijn, zie nogmaals: *):
Een
ander eiland, of beter gezegd eilandje dat zich bevindt tussen Hawaï
en Japan is een ‘geheim eiland’, geheim wat betreft de VS basis op dat eiland met de naam ‘Wake-eiland’. De VS is bezig de
militaire basis op dat eiland, waarop ook een militair vliegveld,
fiks uit te breiden…… Dit eiland zou buiten het bereik liggen van
Chinese en Noord-Koreaanse raketten…… Alleen dat feit al geeft
aan dat de VS werkelijk rekening houdt een oorlog tegen één van
deze twee landen te beginnen…….
De VS
dat zo vaak de vuilbek vol heeft over het bewaren van de stabiliteit,
waar het andere landen beschuldigt deze stabiliteit te ondermijnen, terwijl het zelf illegale oorlogen begint die elke stabiliteit
in de regio van zo’n oorlog totaal destabiliseert,…… Neem dit soort uitlatingen tegen Iran, dat
nooit een expansie oorlog is begonnen, terwijl de VS in de buurt van
Iran, alleen deze eeuw maar liefst 3 illegale oorlogen is gestart….
Onbegrijpelijk
dat andere westerse landen als makke schapen, of beter nog als
debiele schapen achter de VS aansjokken en deze uiterst agressieve
terreurentiteit keer op keer haar gang laten gaan, dat heeft sinds
het eind van WOII aan ruim meer dan 22,5 miljoen mensen het leven
gekost, waarvan in deze eeuw ruim meer dan 2,5 miljoen
(massamoorden waaraan ook andere NAVO-lidstaten, tevens VS hielenlikkers zoals Nederland hebben deelgenomen…..)……

Just Outside Chinese Missile Reach
Considered one of the most
strategically important unincorporated US island outposts in the
world, Wake Island is also among the most restricted territories
claimed by the US (also claimed by the Marshall Islands), given it
remains a key American military outpost located about halfway between
Hawaii and Japan.
It has historically served as a
vital staging ground for US aircraft operating in the Western Pacific
and as a remote line of defense, and is more recently witnessing
military build-up as part of the US Navy’s “pivot toward the
Pacific” —
especially given rising US-China tensions and the controversial
presence of two US supercarriers in the disputed South China Sea.

by The
Drive shows significant expansion
to facilities, including to the airfield,
which has a nearly 10,000 foot runway. Military publications have previously
note that “Wake is the only 10,000-foot runway for a
4,000-mile stretch of Pacific Ocean.”
The report
details that images “The
War Zone obtained
from Planet Labs dated June 25th, 2020 shows that substantial
improvements to the base have occurred recently. Based on archival
satellite imagery, the major expansions to the airfield began early
this year and are still underway today.”
America’s remote outpost deep in the Pacific, situated roughly between Japan and Hawaii, Wake Island serves as a reserve airfield should American airpower have to fallback from the far reaches of Western Pacific during a peer state conflict.
“Beyond its clear logistical
utility, acting as a major hub where there isn’t another for
thousands of miles, it
sits outside the range of China’s and North Korea’s medium-range
ballistic missiles, and largely at the end, if not entirely out of
range, of their
intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs),” a separate report
noted.
“Guam, which is situated about
1,500 miles further west, is well within the range of these weapons.”
New satellite imagery that The War Zone obtained from Planet Labs dated June 25th, 2020 shows that substantial improvements to the base have occurred recently. Based on archival satellite imagery, the major expansions to the airfield began early this year and are still underway.
The new
satellite images shows the large eastern apron area’s big expansion,
as well as an enlarged secondary apron area on the west end on the
runway. The runway itself has been completely rebuilt.
But Wake
Island would be out of reach in any rapid conflict with either China
or North Korea, which would target nearer bases up to and including
Guam with long-range cruise missiles.
Thus
Wake Island would be considered a first line fall-back position in
any hot war with major US enemies in Asia. Conscious of this, it
appears the Pentagon is busy rapidly improving the remote atoll.

Ongelofelijk
maar wel eerder aangekondigd: Facebook dat de laatste jaren zo op de ‘fake
news trommel’ heeft geroffeld, staat honderden advertenties toe van
Trumps verkiezingscampagne met keiharde leugens over het
stemrecht…… De ophef zeker onder Democraten is groot, niet
verwonderlijk als je bedenkt dat met deze advertenties het volk wordt
misleid en dat Trump o.a. daarmee een tweede termijn kan
veiligstellen…..
De Trump
administratie wil het stemmen per post onmogelijk maken, daarvan
zijn vooral Democratische kiezers afhankelijk en als Trump zijn zin krijgt de dupe, althans als het Coronavirus
nog langer haar slopende werk blijft doen, of zelfs omslaan in een tweede golf in de VS….. Als dat gebeurt zullen nog minder Democratische
kiezers ter stembus gaan en afhankelijk zijn van stemmen per post (dat zou men hier ook al moeten voorbereiden, althans als de hysterie aanhoudt)…… Trump heeft al laten zien dat hij
desnoods de hele postbezorging wil frustreren en naar god
helpen…..
De
Democraten hadden vorig jaar al moeten toeslaan toen topgraaier
Zuckerberg, de eigenaar van Facebook, liet weten dat in de gang naar
de verkiezingen (a.s. november) zijn platform leugens van de
politieke partijen zou toestaan……. Na die mededeling hadden alle
signalen op rood moeten staan, zeker gezien alle leugens over
Russische bemoeienis met en de zogenaamde manipulatie door dat land van de
presidentsverkiezingen in 2016……
Je kan
er dan ook donder op zeggen dat de Democraten destijds hebben
besloten niets te doen, immers ook zij kunnen hun leugens ventileren
op Facebook….. Mede met de desinformatie over het stemrecht kan Trump
inderdaad zijn tweede termijn veiligstellen, niet voor niets ook dat
Trump een paar maanden geleden liet weten, dat wanneer iedere VS
burger (‘Amerikaan’) die mag stemmen en dat zou doen, de
Republikeinen nooit meer aan de macht zouden komen…..
Kortom
het is duidelijk dat de Democraten zich in de vingers hebben gesneden
door Zuckerberg niet onmiddellijk ter verantwoording te roepen en nu dus moord en brand schreeuwen….. (ook al is de reden
daarvoor volkomen legitiem) Ofwel de Democraten zijn enorme
hypocrieten, die elke intelligentie missen om te kunnen zien wat de
consequenties zijn van zaken die van meet af aan totaal belachelijk
en in feite misdadig zijn, zoals de mededeling van Facebook dat
leugens in aanloop van de verkiezingen zullen worden getolereerd……
Ach ja
de Democraten, een stel hypocrieten die in feite dezelfde zaken
behartigen als de Republikeinen, neem de verkiezingsbeloften van
Obama, hij zou de (illegale) oorlogen stoppen die George W. Bush is begonnen, waarvoor hij prematuur
de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede ontving, echter in de praktijk was Obama
de eerste president die de VS twee volledige termijnen in de
‘oorlogsstand’ hield….. Hij begon NB ook nog eens drie oorlogen, één
in Oost-Oekraïne, één in Libië en in feite ook die tegen de
regering Assad in Syrië…… Al vanaf 2006 was de VS bezig met de
voorbereiding van die laatste oorlog, eerst werd middels een door de
CIA georganiseerde ‘opstand’ gepoogd Assad weg te krijgen, daarna
door het ‘invliegen van terreurgroepen’, inclusief IS (ISIS) en
uiteindelijk door een onverholen deelname van de VS aan die door henzelf georganiseerde
oorlog…..
Wij
kunnen uiteraard niet meedoen aan de door de Democraten op poten
gezette petitie waarvan je de tekst hieronder vindt, echter
belangrijk genoeg om over te nemen en nog eens te laten zien dat men
totaal geen moeite heeft met het brengen van fake news (nepnieuws) en
andere leugens, zolang het maar in het eigen straatje past………
Moet je
nagaan: al een paar maanden is men in de VS bezig met het brengen van
de leugen dat China en Rusland de verkiezingen in de VS nu al
manipuleren…… ha! ha! ha! ha! In de VS heeft men niemand nodig om
de verkiezingen te manipuleren, men is daarvoor zelf kranig genoeg,
zoals ook nu weer blijkt…..
Vreemd overigens dat de reguliere media, die de leugen blijven herhalen dat Rusland de presidentsverkiezingen van 2016 heeft gemanipuleerd, amper of geen woord vuil maakten aan de Israëlische psychopathische oorlogsmisdadiger Netanyahu, die in het congres in 2015 het volk te verstaan gaf toch vooral op Trump te stemmen tijdens de verkiezingen een jaar daarna, dit daar Obama al had beloofd zijn veto uit te spreken over nieuwe sancties tegen Iran…….. De tevens ordinaire misdadiger Netanyahu loog toen zelfs keihard dat Iran binnen een paar weken een heel arsenaal aan kernwapens zou kunnen fabriceren…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Dan nog de gift van $ 1,200.– van Trump aan elke inwoner van de VS (althans als die legaal is in de VS), alsof dat niet een uiterst smerige vorm is van stemmen kopen….. Trump had daarvoor verordonneerd dat elke check zijn naam als gever moest bevatten, over manipulatie van de verkiezingen gesproken >> totaal belachelijk en dit zou in een echte democratie zonder meer als misdadig worden beoordeeld!!
Vergeet na dit ‘alles’ niet de enorme
kapitalen die grote bedrijven in de verkiezinggscampagnes steken, waarmee ze
invloed kopen in de volgende administratie die de VS zal leiden…. Veel van die bedrijven geven beide kandidaten een fiks bedrag…… Alsof dit geen ongeoorloofde beïnvloeding is van de presidentsverkiezingen…… Te zot voor woorden dat dit mag en dat die bedrijven dit zo openlijk doen……
Tell Facebook to STOP the lies about voting rights on their platform

Donald Trump’s
reelection campaign is buying HUNDREDS of ads on Facebook that spread
dangerous disinformation about voting.
But Facebook REFUSES
to take these false ads down — and
the company continues to profit from them.
Facebook has
repeatedly refused to hold Trump to any sort of standard on its
platform. And now, as states consider expanding their vote-by-mail
options to help Americans vote safely in November – the Trump
campaign is once again relying on the platform’s lax policies to
incite fear and misinformation about efforts to expand voting
options.
Trump’s re-election
campaign has already purchased over 500 Facebook ads that spread
disproven claims about voter fraud.1 And how can these
false, irresponsible ads run unchecked?
Because Facebook
exempts politicians’ ads — including Trump’s — from any
fact-checking.
And even though Facebook claims it bans political ads
that discourage people from voting, the
platform has done nothing to stop the Trump campaign from publishing
its harmful ads.
Clearly, the
team at Facebook has learned nothing
from its 2016 debacle — when the presidential election was polluted
by foreign lies and propaganda shared on the platform.
In an election
year where the stakes could not be higher, these posts could
discourage everyday Americans from exercising their right to vote.
As the November
elections approach, I hope you’ll join me in demanding real
accountability for Facebook.
